Your package is being returned to amazon.in because it was refused at delivery address or the order was cancelled.
Grievance details –
I had waited for about a week to order samsung galaxy m20 in a flash launch sale scheduled at 12 noon on 5th feb 2019. I tried but before i could get the product added into my cart, 100% claimed status appeared. I was really hopeful about booking the same in next sale scheduled on 7th feb 2019. This time i was lucky to have received the product in my cart & i completed the payment using my credit card. As the product was included with prime, i had expected 1 day delivery & i had given my office address for delivery by friday (8th feb 2019). However after the booking was done, expected delivery shown was ‘monday, feb 11 – tuesday feb 12’. I understood that 1 day delivery may not be applicable during such launch sales & was ok for delivery on monday/tuesday. I don’t have complaint for that.
Now the problem raised when i received a call from delivery guy on saturday 9th feb which is an off-day for office. I told the delivery guy that office is closed on sat-sun, no one will be available to collect the parcel on my behalf & requested him to reschedule the delivery on monday (As was scheduled earlier). He did not mentioned if he agreed to that request or not by saying, “i am taking it back”. I considered that he has agreed, & could not check the delivery status at that time because i was driving. After reaching home when i checked tracking status it said, “returning to seller. Your package is being returned to amazon.in because it was refused at delivery address or the order was cancelled.”
I was shocked to see that instead of rescheduling delivery on monday, the package was returned to seller. I called customer care helpline, the representative mentioned, she can request for trying a redelivery but that would happen only within 24 hours, which is again a sunday (Off-day). She said she couldn’t help me more on this topic.
I do not think that i was at fault at any of the time during this whole story, because i was indicated delivery at my office address on working days. Good that amazon works with more than 100% efficiency to deliver package 2 days before, but such efficiency is of no use if you are delivering at office address on off-days! Further to that, my request to reschedule the delivery was royally ignored & package was returned to seller! I expect you to explain why this happened & how can you make things better to retain me as a customer.
