I have purchased a oneplus 5t mobile (Product hereafter) from amazon official website (www.amazon.in) on 16th december, 2017 at a price of 38099. The product is totally dead and i have called amazon customer care on 1st january, 2018 regarding the issue with phone and they asked me to contact oneplus customer care to report the issue. I visited customer care service provider at trust house, 32a, chittaranjan avenue, kolkata on 3rd of january, 2018 for reporting the issue. There i fill the els customer form with the isuue and the token no provided to me is 30.
I want the replacement of the product but the service centre executive informed that replacement is beyond their power and they can only service the product. Thereafter, i ask them to service the product. After taking the product it has been given to service executive for repair. Ehen the service executive remove the layer/guard from the screen he found a scratch on the screen which is not visible with layer. Same has also been written by me in the els customer form and confirmed by the executive attended by me.
Later on they told that since there is a scratch on the product it falls under the damage category and warranty cannot be given on damaged product. So ask me to pay rs. 8, 000 for lcd damage. I denied and left the service centre and lodge complaint with both amazon and one plus via mail regarding the instances.
On regular mails to amazon after enquiry they are ready to replace the product but later on denied on the ground that oneplus the manufacturer has denied to replace the product.
Despite of repeated mails and follow up my issue has not yet been resolved and at last being an aggrieved consumer i am knocking the door of supre authority for justice.
