On 29th Sep, I ordered a One plus 10R Prime Blue mobile phone but to my surprise, I received a green color variant of One plus 10R Prime on 30th Sep. Because this was an exchange offer, I returned my old phone Redmi Note 7 Pro in the condition specified by the seller. I immediately called customer care who directed me to share photographs of the phone received as well as the order number and date, which I did asap. After several phone calls, I was told that an investigation would be conducted and that I would be notified of the outcome in three days. This was the most ridiculous thing that a renowned company like Amazon would do.
Thanks to Amazon, right now I am without a phone as the one for which I had paid a whooping amount of 28, 899 Rs. is, not the one I had placed an order for.
A few things that I would like to enlighten Amazon about myself:
I am a Prime member of Amazon.
I am a regular buyer which means I give a lot of business to Amazon.
I am a genuine buyer and not a fake one.
Instead of giving me a quick solution to my problem, I have been told to wait for three days after which they will let us know what will be done. In a country where Fast Track courts solve a number of cases within a day, the small task of speeding up the process of getting the correct phone to its Prime member is made unimaginably difficult and impossible.
I am sure I wouldn't have faced this issue if I ordered such an expensive device from Flipkart or Croma or Vijay sales. This incident has made me reach the decision that is never recommended Amazon to anyone for anything.
How far is this sensible?
Why am I being penalized for no reason?
Was it my mistake to order such an expensive device from Amazon?
Why do I have to wait for an investigation even after I have shared immediate photographs of the phone etc?
What was the use of doing all these formalities when an investigation of three days will be followed?
Did I pay 28, 899 Rs to wait for another three days not knowing if I will get my phone on the 4th day?
Eagerly looking for a quick solution.
