Hi,
I am an Amazon customer since 2012 and had an awesome experience for this Diwali. Order ID:[protected] [JBL 250 Home Cinema Soundbar Speaker System].
The order was made on 17th Oct through the Amazon app. Payment of 17999/- INR was made through instantly during ordering the item. The expected delivery date was 24th Oct. I was tracking the order and the same was shipped through Gati Courier [ Shipping ID:[protected]] as mentioned in the mobile app.
Day 1: 22 OCT 2016:
The package was shown delivered on 22nd Oct in the app and I didn’t get this. I called Amazon customer care with in 1 hour from status update and conveyed that the delivery didn’t happen to me. Amazon executive told that it’s a mistake and the package is delivered at Gati warehouse in Bangalore and will be delivered to you in 24 to 48 hours.
Day 2: 23 OCT 2016:
I contacted Amazon customer care and requested for a status update. The update was that the product will be delivered mostly today, else for sure on 24th Oct, Monday. They assured that everything is in track and there is no need to worry. Amazon being World’s No:1, I TRUSTED!
Day 3: 24 OCT 2016:
I waited till end of the day and nothing happened. I contacted Amazon Customer care asking for an update. The update was the order is pending with courier partner [Gati Couriers] and it’s a delay from them. I asked the executive to escalate this straight away as I smelled a rat. Executive promised me that the escalation is made to senior management team of amazon along with Gati team. Executive promised me that Gati / Amazon will give me a call back and shall update the status. The assured SLA was 24 hours as updated to me and requested me to wait for one day and promised me that the order will be delivered on 24th EOD without fail. Amazon being World’s No:1, I TRUSTED!
Day 4: 25 OCT 2016:
I didn’t get any call back as promised neither from Amazon nor from Gati. I started feeling that the things are not going in track. I waited till 25th noon 2 PM. Since I didn’t get any message that the product is out for delivery, I contacted Amazon. Executive checked with backend [as told to me] and updated that there is a delay in delivery and might not happen today, but for sure on 26th Oct. Being human, I got frustrated and asked the executive to escalate this once again as he told that no escalation was made on this till now. [Engineer handled the call on 24th was bluffing and fooled poor me very well last day!] This time Executive confirmed a real escalation is made and Gati team and Amazon team will contact me back and shall provide the update on status. Amazon being World’s No:1, I TRUSTED!
Day 5: 26 OCT 2016:
I didn’t get any call back as promised neither from Amazon nor from Gati even this time. I understood that this time also it was a pure bluff! I contacted Amazon and the update was that delivery is scheduled. They will try the best to make it happen today without fail. I asked the executive to treat this with atmost priority and follow up with Gati. I requested Mr.Executive to escalate so that someone senior from Amazon will look into this seriously. Call back offer was still offered, but I was this time sure that no one cares as damn about customer in Amazon. I didn’t expect any update from Amazon, but was optimistic about the delivery! Being left with no other choice and Amazon being World’s No:1, I TRUSTED!
Day 6: 27 OCT 2016:
Amazon neither called back neither deliver anything ! I called back and asked for updates. Same GATI DELIVERY DELAY story was repeated along with call back promise. I was slowly understanding that I am being made fun of by World’s No:1 Brand. Still, being a loyal customer for last 4 years and since Amazon being World’s No:1, I TRUSTED!
Day 7: 28 OCT 2016: [ 1 week gets over ! ]
Amazon neither called back neither deliver anything! I called back and asked for updates. Same GATI DELIVERY DELAY story was repeated along with call back promise. I asked executive to give escalation email ID so that I myself can work on getting the package delivered. Executive promised the details shall be mailed to me. Even after 5 hours of the call, I didn’t get any mails from Amazon. I now clearly understood that being a customer is treated as a crime by Amazon. I was made fun of by the executives World’s No:1 Brand. I thought of giving a final day of wait trusting the BRAND AMAZON, the so called World No:1!
Day 8: 29 OCT 2016:
Amazon neither called back neither deliver anything! I now know caring customer has nothing to do with Amazon. I contacted the executive and asked to connect to escalation team. I was connected to Thangamma from Leadership team [ Don’t know whether the name is real or fake!] She validated my case history and asked me to wait as she wanted to check from backend After 15 minutes of waiting, a promise was made to me that the product will be delivered to me tomorrow [30th Oct] without fail. She promised she will send me a mail stating the same along with a delivery guarantee confirmation.
I didn’t get any mail till midnight from Amazon. So I understood, this time, leadership team also started fooling me. Escalation at Amazon is just a waste of time as no one cares a damn about customers. I started waiting the last hours expecting Worlds No:1 fooling brand to fool me again !
Day 9: 30 OCT 2016:
As usual NOTHING SURPRSING HAPPENED till noon. Thangamma never learned sending mails, also didn’t know how to make phone calls! My patience finally met its culmination.
I called customer care. I got some shocking details today.
• My package was wrongly delivered to someone by Gati on 22nd Oct.
• Executive told that this delivery is not going to happen & I can proceed with replacement or reimbursement!!
• I realised that I was fooled by World’s No:1 Brand for the last 8 days by giving false updates.
• No one from AMAZON did nothing in the last 8 days on my order even after calling them 8 times! They just made fun of the calls made by this 4 year old customer. Amazing !!!
• I asked executive to transfer the call to escalation team. Mahesh from leadership team was handed over the call [Name and designations could be again a bluff as its Amazon !]
• As explained by Mahesh here is the flow:
1. On 22nd Amazon understood that the order is misplaced by GATI couriers.
2. Amazon waited for 3 days to get it confirmed! [Don’t know what more confirmation is required]
3. Amazon did nothing till 25th and confirmed that order is misplaced! [Executives kept on bluffing throughout these days anyway as its their style @ Amazon!]
4. As per the process, they were supposed to initiate reimbursement / replacement on 25th. Mahesh tried his best to bluff, but failed miserably explaining why nothing was done till today.
5. Mahesh couldn’t explain why Thangamma bluffed and gave me a false promise last day. Could be because both were from same LEARDERSHIP TEAM !
6. Mahesh at last agreed that Thangamma was bluffing as no delivery will happen on Sunday.
7. I understood, Amazon LEADERSHIP Team means cheating loyal customers.
I am attaching the screenshot from the company website stating the product is delivered on 22nd Oct, which is not true.
How can I proceed legally and ask for a compensation for the financial and mental harassment caused to me from a big brand like Amazon.
