I places an order on 10th aug 2016 (order #[protected] for a laptop (hp pavilion 15-au084tx 15.6-inch laptop (core i5-6200u/4gb/1tb/windows 10 home/4gb graphics), natural silver) sold by vendor (ascent technologies). it was delivered to us on 16th aug 2016. however we were not happy with performance of the item and had process the self return on 25th aug 2016. because this was a self return i had to return the item on my own using my own courier service.
I dispatched the item on 26th aug 2016 using a courier service (awb [protected], http://www.overnitenet.com)and same was delivered to amazon fulfillment center on 9h sept 2016. i was following up with the cs rep on this every alternate day. on 12th sept 2016 (18.45) i received an email as confirmation of items been received by amazon.
The email said "have checked your order #[protected] and confirmed that we received your return item. our return support team processing your refund and will send you a confirmation email once the refund is completed." again i had to do followup with cs rep for refund.
On 29th sept 2016 i got a email saying courier charges would be refunded to my amazon account as gift card and laptop cost would be refunded to original payment method. i did got the gift card of the value same to my courier charges but never got the refund for the laptop.
On 6th oct 2016 i received an email from account specialist and not the cs rep saying that they are unable to issue a refund because they did not received the item. i shared pod on 12th oct which had received stamp on it but never received any reply for that. the last reply i had was on 6th oct.
I am looking forward to get a refund for the laptop. it has been more then a 50 days i have not received the refund.

I have copied a part of email below. one giving confirmation of item been received and another a recent which gave opposite statement of item not been received even after giving the proof of received by amazon.

Committed delivery date: 20 october 2016.
Above product is not delivered by amazon till this date i. E. 1st Nov, I got email saying product has lost in transit and they are able to innitiate refund.
I have not initiated the cancellation so i called them again to check. I ordered the product during DIWALI sell on exchange offer ( 10, 429.00 ), now after this much waiting and harassment they want me to cancle my order. Even after calling and over chat help they are given me excuses and and requesting me to wait another 24 hrs and after that nothing is happen.They are not taking my complaint seriously and giving fake promises (Like product will be delivered tomorrow) every time i call them. I have to call every day to follow-up
And check status on that. Now they want me to cancle my order and place a new order. I ask them to give me a same deal but they are not ready.They are saying you can buy the product again form portal with offer they are having now.
They made fake promises and kept me waiting.
I think the truth is this is a scam, the discounts they have given on diwali is hurting them, hence the delaying tactics. When people get frustrated they cancel the order, and they are quite eagar and happy to do that.
