I ordered a motorola g4 plus on 7th of september, 2016 and it was supposed to be delivere by 15th of september. I made the payment through my credit card and converted the sale into emis of nine months. When i did not receive the order by 19th september, i contact the customer service. The first executive told me that we are unable to track your order, so i would advice you to cancel it and place it again and the call was disconnected. I called again and some other executive told me that the delay is due to chaos in karnataka and you will receive the order till 22nd of september, 2016 and requested me to not to cancel the order. Unfortunately, i trusted him and did not cancel the order.
After waiting till 23rd of september, i called them again and asked the status. This time their executive told me that your order is lost during transit and i advice you to cancel it without any delay and we will process the refund. I got angry and asked them to cancel it. Thereafter, i received an email on my registered email (Image attached) which stated that your order has been cancelled and refund is processed. I was under an impression that finally it is over and will receive the refund on time. But, again i was wrong.
I saw my credit card statement and came to know that i have't receive the refund yet and emi for the same has been generated for which interest, service tax has been added to my credit card bill. After looking at my statement, i was shocked and called the customer care again. This time the executive told me that your order was not cancelled as the amount of rs. 13, 499/- is big and we have to take permission for that, which the prior executive did not. So, till october 5th i. E. Almost a month from which i ordered the phone, i have not receive the phone, my order was not cancelled and refund was not processed, i have dues on my credit card with added interest and service tax.
I asked the executive that who is going to bear the cost for the negligence of your executive who did not duly cancelled my order. To which he said that we are sorry for that as the order was cancelled on your part, so it is going to be only you. I reminded him that the order was not cancelled on my part, it is amazon who asked me to cancel the order and i have ordered the same phone on 4th october from amazon.
It is really disgusting to hear different responses every time you call the executives. This shows either the careless work of their executives or lack of management where there is no system to redress the issue and keep the executives on the same page regarding a particular issue.
I have faced enough harassment and feel cheated and demands the compensation along with the interest and service tax which has been added to my credit card.
Amazon India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
