I AM HAVING AN INSURANCE POLICY ISSUED BY AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE CO. IN JUN 2007. THE ANNUAL PREMIUM FOR THE POLICY WAS RS. 30,000.00 AND THE LOCK IN PERIOD WAS THREE YEARS. I WAS TOLD BY THE AGENT AT THE TIME OF ISSUANCE OF POLICY THAT THE POLICY CAN BE SURRENDERED AFTER THREE YEARS AND THERE WILL BE NO SURRENDER CHARGES. I WENT TO SURRENDER THE POLICY AT CHANDIGARH BRANCH OFFICE IN 2010 AND I WAS ADVISED TO PAY TWO MORE PREMIUMS TO GET EXEMPTION FROM SURRENDER CHARGES. I HAD PAID TWO MORE PREMIUMS AND I HAD PLANNED MY FUNDS MANAGEMENT ACCORDINGLY. IT WAS SHOCKING FOR ME WHEN MR. NITIN FROM CUSTOMER CARE TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE STILL 6% CHARGES AND THE SURRENDER VALUE OF MY POLICY AS ON 16 JULY 2012 IS RS. A,30,570.00 AGAINST THE FUND VALUE OF RS. 1,38,898.00 AFTER DEDUCTION OF RS. 8,328.00 AS SURRENDER CHARGES AND IF I PAY ONE MORE PREMIUM , THERE WILL NOT BE ANY SURRENDER CHARGES. I WENT TO PAY THE PREMIUM TODAY I.E. ON 17 JULY 2012 AND I WAS GIVEN ANOTHER SHOCK BY MR. SARAVJEET SINGH EMPLOYEE CODE 121615 AT CHANDIGARH OFFICE AS HE STATED THAT THE SURRENDER CHARGES WILL BE CHARGES TILL THE MATURITY OF THE POLICY I.E. TENTH YEAR OF POLICY AND IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED YOU CAN LODGE A COMPLAINT AGAINST ME WHICH WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED AT ALL. I WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED BY THE ATTITUDE AND THE COMMITMENT OF THE STAFF OF AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE CO. LTD. WHICH COMPELLED ME TO COUNCIL MY FRIEND CIRCLE AS WELL AS CUSTOMERS OF MY BANK (AS I AM A BANKER) NOT TO BELIEVE AVIVA STAFF/AGENTS AND NEVER TO INVEST WITH AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE. MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR COMPANY WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.

      Hi,

      The mentioned policy LFG1432673 from AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE was in force and i have never delayed in premium payments(Amt Rs 25000 yearly) for last 5 years (including the current year). I had ULIP plan of Aviva in which my 100% Amount was in Growth Fund and on 23/08/2011 i switched the fund to balanced fund by looking at the NAV they were offering me and the amount was approx. Rs.235,000. On 29/08/2011 i opted for surrender of the policy at Thane branch of Aviva but they told me that there is some technical issue at their end so they can't tell me the surrender value. I then contacted the customer care and got the surrender value as Rs.234,000. On 14/09/2011 i got an amount of Rs.118,854. I called the customer care and reported this as a complaint but they said there was a technical error at their part, i personally visited Ghatkopar branch and explained the scenario still i was not helped enough to atleast tell that we are checking the same will get back to you. I mailed the issue to the customer care and i got a reply that i need to read the PQIS(Premium Quotation and Illustration Statement) which is not feasible as the policy depends on market conditions. Kindly help me solve the issue. It is the companies duty to inform the customer about the pre-closure and drawbacks. The complaint was also raised to IRDA on 27th Sep 2011 but no revert till 6 months and now when i checked the status of the complaint there is no such complaint(Complaint No.[protected]. I assume the complaint will be registered and will get a help concerning the same ASAP. Below attached is the screenshot when i checked the policy details.

      Dear Team/Aviva,
      Only After the complaint was lodged in this site you have asked me for the re-initiation of the policy, till that time i have followed up a lot with aviva customer care executives and it took a year for you to determine the re-initiation of the policy. One more thing if you are asking me for re-initiation what is the guarantee that i would get the amount what i've invested in aviva.
      I have already said that when the site gave the wrong information and when i started the procedure to surrender the policy aviva should have informed me regarding the issue with the site, you people surrendered the policy without prior notice that there is issue in your site and it costed me the principle amount as well as the interest which i would have got if the amount was invested in a fixed deposit at any bank.

      I would rather ask the consumer forum to please intervene in the matter because i think aviva is making a fool out of me. I have attached the screenshots for your reference and if any proofs is required would be provided in demand.
      Dear Consumer Forum Team/Aviva,
      The re-initiation could be done when there was follow ups at my end. you people never took initiation to do the same at that time and you are asking me to re-initiate it now after one year. This is not acceptable. I need consumer forum team to intervene in this issue and provide a proper solution. I can't blindly re-initiate the policy again after having issues with aviva.
      Till this time i would have got my principle and the interst if the same was invested in a FD with any bank. I didn't receive my interest and they even took my 7k rs from the principle amount. I want my money back and this is purely aviva's mistake that their site was having issue. As a consumer i have been denied of my rights.

        Hi,

        I am Prashanta Dey. I had purchased a term insurance policy (Policy No: ALA3087058) for 25 lakhs for 30 years from Bajaj Aviva Life Insurance around 7 monthes back. After going through various other option available with me, I selected this policy. That’s thee worst mistake I made in my life. During the course of 7 month itself when the time was due for my 2nd premium payment, due to some issue with my Citibank Suvidha account, the payment was not through. When I saw the same, I had made call to their customer support no([protected]); that’s the 2nd mistake I have made. The guys working there are the most unprofessional bunch of jokers I have seen in my life. I myself belong to customer service profession and have interacted with many customer support (vodafone, Citibank, ICICIBANK, airtel etc). I had to make three calls to them highlighting the problem and telling them that premium is not paid, so please tell me options available. 1st two times the so called customer service executives spoke to me as if they are doing some favour and no follow up was done on my case. Meanwhile I get two calls from another no from Mumbai ([protected]), telling me that they haven’t received the premium. I tell the lady thee entire story and with her response I felt she was lost somewhere and didn’t know what to tell me. On asking who she is, she only told me she is calling on behalf of Aviva and her job is to call all customers from whom payment not received. Meanwhile on 13the June 2012 I receive a sms that my policy will lapse for non-payment of premium on 16the June 2012. When I call the customer care once again, they tell me that only option is to visit thee Aviva branch office in my city and get this sorted. When I initially asked them to send someone to collect a check payment from me, they told me it’s possible, now they are telling ,me that the payment has to be 5k or more, then only they can send a person and my half yearly premium falls short of Rs.195/-(Rs.4805/- is my half yearly premium). After spending almost 2 hours on thinking how to solve this problem, I have decided to give up and let the Aviva enjoy withe the initial Rs.4805/- they got through my 1st premium payment. Their online site www.aviviaindia.com sucks big time.

        My sincere advice to anyone reading this post, pls stay away from this, as their company insurance policy really sucks. For more such post from many other frustrated customer pls refer to moutheshut.com.

          I Vijay Singh had joined aviva life insurance as sales manager under Mr.Vijay Salvi on 1 may 2011 and worked for three months and i i have resigned the company on 15th august 2011 still my 45 days salary as not been cleared by aviva i have followed with mr vijay salvi for 2 months then he was not picking up my calls and i was not getting any answer form HR Department...

            I had bought term insurance online with avivaindia on 13/3/2012 and paid 6007 as premium.
            After some days they said that premium will increase and sum assured will decrease as per their rules and regulations.
            I refused to carry out further transactions with the compan and asked for refund.
            They paid me 50% of amount and have kept 50% with them telling it as my medical check up expense.
            I should have been informed before the medical check up as to increase in my premium.
            There was no problem in my health reports.
            They should have checked my financials before sending anyone for my health check up.

              I too have been cheated in the exactly same manner in Pune during Nov 2007. I was wooed into taking up this Save Guard policy and was promised, that I can withdraw my money after 3 years and there will be no charges. I was paying a hefty 1 lac premium p.a. and now after paying a total of 4 premiums (i.e Rs. 4,00,000), my fund value is only Rs. 3,20,000. If I choose to surrender my policy now (well beyond 3 years), I am getting only Rs. 3,00,000 after deduction of surrender charges. An outright loss of Rs.1,00,000. I can't believe my bad fate.

              These AVIVA agents are daylight dacoits and target people like us who believe in them thinking they are giving us a plan for a better future.
              Avoid them at all costs and keep your hard earned money with yourself or in FDs of reputed banks (or RBI) and earn 9.6% p.a. guaranteed appreciation.

              I am feeling very cheated and am closing my account immediately with Aviva. I wow never to return to them, in any form, ever in my life.

                I am just being mentally harassed and being made to run for my money from pillar to post by Aviva Life Insurance.

                By way of introduction I am Sandip Roy and I held 3 Aviva Life Insurance Policy. All three policy was surrendered and in the policy surrender form I requested for the payment to be made to my NRE Bank Account. Required information as requested by Aviva was all given and scanned photocopy was also provided to them. This took place on the 13th of April 2012. Today it has been 25 days since the surrender and I havent received my money.

                Numerous letters have been sent to Aviva but all you get as an email repsonse is a cut / copy / paste reply. Aviva Officials are also very uncouth and do not know how ot speak to their customers. You will find series of my communications along with them and see how unresponsive they are being.

                I am writing to you in complete desparation to help me get my money back and help me receive the right justice.

                I visited the Andheri East office to follow up on the resolution of the issue elaborated in the trailing emails by my cousin – Sandip Roy.







                After spending over 1.5 hours at the office this morning, I was promised an update on the resolution of the grievance by 1600 hours today. There has been no response as yet!







                I have also been trying to get in touch with customer services on[protected] and [protected] as well as the Andheri East branch on[protected]Extn 1070),[protected],[protected],[protected] and [protected], but, in vain! There has been no response from


                any of these numbers. This does not reflect good customer service.







                In view of the above mentioned several unsuccessful attempts to get in touch with your company, I am writing to you on behalf of Sandip Roy, who is also copied on this email.







                As discussed with the grievance redressal team at the Andheri East Branch, including Nisha, Sriram and another senior team member, please urgently provide status on the below:







                1.Status of cancellation of cheques and deposit of Rs. 25L into the NRE account listed on the form filled on 13th April for withdrawal of policies – APG 1830370, RPG 1820685 and APG 1827964.







                2.Reasons for the following errors on the part of AVIVA :







                a.Incorrect information provided to Sandip Roy , when he visited the Andheri East office on 13th April.





                He was told by the staff that the money would be credited into his NRE account, for which, statements from 2008 – 2012 were collected from him. When I visited the Andheri office today, I was told that since a draft was provided instead of a cheque for the first


                premium, it would not be possible to credit the money into the NRE account directly. I was also told by the staff that the cheque bounced for the first premium. This is incorrect and can be verified via the bank statements provided to you. It was on request


                from AVIVA that the first instalment was paid by draft.







                b.Negligence on the part of AVIVA not to have mailed a repatriation letter along with the cheques in order to facilitate deposit of the cheques into the NRE account







                3.The extent of compensation required for the above errors and the resulting continuous follow ups which we have needed to make for no fault of ours. We would require at least Rs. 13,000 for the uncalled for delay (of 3 weeks) in deposit of Rs. 25L. This has


                been conservatively calculated at the rate of 9.5% FD interest pa.







                Please note that it was clearly mentioned on the form submitted that the money needs to be credited directly into the NRE account. All required documents were submitted and verified by the staff at the Andheri East branch. We would not require the cheques and


                will not accept anything else besides a direct credit into the account.







                Also, please note that it has become extremely painful and annoying to have to follow up with various team members with no concrete response. Please give me the contact details of a senior officer who is in the position to take a decision regarding this and


                authorise immediate direct transfer of 25L and the said compensation.







                I anticipate resolution in line with the above requirements made by me latest by tomorrow, failing which, we will be approaching the Consumer Complaints board and the Press.

                I have been struggling with receiving my surrender policy value in NRE Money for no fault of mine.



























                My policies have been requested for surrender on the 13th of April and I have submitted all the

                I have received the surrender value in cheques as on the 21st of April in mail inspite of indicating

                The cheques received do not indicate NRE and neither was I sent the Repatriation Letter in order



                to help me deposit the same in NRE Account.























                I have raised this request since a while now and its now the 1st of May.























                I am losing out FD Interest @ 9.5% p.a. which I could have started earning since the 13th of April.



                The principal value being 25 Lakhs, I have as on date lost out on Rs 13000/- because of no fault of mine.























                I need to know who will bare this inconvinience for me and when am I going to see an issue resolution

                I visited the Aviva Office located in Andheri East, Mumbai on the 13th of April 2012, where in I made a request to surrender all 3 above mentioned policies. My request was



                duly accepted and I completed the required surrender form and also submitted the required documents as needed to ensure that a smooth surrender process is achieved. Please find enclosed scan copy of acceptance.







                I am extremely pleased with the customer service and help I received from the office staff.







                I was under the impression that the policy surrender value would be credited to my NRE Account as mentioned in the application form. However I have now received 3 separate



                cheques in courier issued on Axis Bank to me delivered to my address in Dubai, U.A.E.



                Could you please advice me as to why was this done ? Do I now need to deposit these cheques in my NRE Bank Account in order to be credited with the surrender value ? The



                cheques received do not in any manner mention the money to be termed as NRE and I am not certain on how to approach this. I was expecting the credit to be done in my NRE Bank Account based on the mentioned information as provided in the Policy Surrender Form

                  I m writing this later to make u realize about the worst service of your policy department . one of your employer , mr. Deepakbhai had given a deposit cheque and the cheque no is 30509. this cheque was not accepted by the bank and thatswhy i used to contect at the customer Care and they asked about Health Form.Then a person came and have my signature on the health form who was sent by Mr. Dilip bhai. Though this process was done , the policy was not inform. I called again at the customer care and they told me that they did not get any health form .So again a person came from your office of ahmedabad and again had the health form. After that proccess i called on this number - [protected] and the receiver told me that your policy will inform in 2 days. But the policy did not inform and i called again at the customer care nearly 20 times or more. But i got no responce and no result. So on 15th-feb- 2012 i talked with Gyanvati Mam. She told me to talk with Abhijit Sir and he told me that he had got the Health form and the process is going on and when the process will complete the policy will inform. On the same day ( 15th feb -2012 ) i talked at the complain Department with Mr GAurangsingh at gudgau and he told me that nothing process will be done by us till we did not get the Health form. One month passed but nothing process was done and they again asked about the health form. this way they asked me to apply for the health form 4 times and i also did 2 e.mails but i did not get any responce. so I contect to MR Abhijit Sir and he contact to Mr Joy sir at the complain department and he told me firmly that it will done tomorrow . But it was not done and i talked with him more than 2 hours and then my policy was inform finally.The unit rate was around 27 on 27th december 2011 and the unit rate was around 30 on 27th february 2012 . Because of only the major mistake done by your companies, i had got the loss of rs 3 per unit. And the most important was the trobles and problems from which i suffer because of your mistake only.


                  Now can you please kindly tell me what process you had done in this problem and this matter????? As i know you did not have even the number of your office at ahmedabad till today (19th april 2012.) And also tell me how is your company doing the process???????? you have to pay the loss from which i suffer. And one more question which I want to ask if there is any responsable person in your company.Ialled at the customer care for the 30 times and there was no responce.there is no responsable person in your company??? And when i talked about it on 15th march 2012 , in reply they told me that your policy was inform now what you want and now what???? is it the sence of talking???? It only meant that you did not do any process till 3 months of complain and without saying sorry or without asking for forgiving or without promise to repay my loss you are behaving like you are doing a favor or oblication on us...... Is it your way???? I hope you will do proper steps and make my loss to be paid ..

                  I m requesting you to pay your most urgent and serious attention to this matter and see that the things change for the better.. And you will take some steps after reading this latter towards your company....

                    The policy of Freedom life plan for 10 years with 3 years lock in period was taken by me.(Year 2009)

                    The agent from AVIVA has wrongly interpreted the lock in period as 5 years now. Now when I went to FC road branch, the fund value was 62,000. and When I surrender the policy the amount came in to be 29,000 .

                    Premium paid: 25,000 per year total=75,000 paid for 3 years till date.

                    I want my money back as this is pure case of fraud by AVIVA as an insurance company.

                    It was very important for me get the money back.

                      I HAVE TAKEN POLICY IN AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE ON MY MOTHERS NAME FOR 25OO RS MONTHLY PREMIUM AND THEY AGENT TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE COMING AROUND 180000 AT THE END OF THE 3 YEARS AT WHEN I COULD WITHDRAW THE AMOUNT .

                      THE AGENT CLEARY SPECIFY 3 YEARS AS MY LOCKIN PERIOD

                      BUT THOUGH I PAID FOR 4 YEARS, I CANNOT WITH DRAW THE MONEY WHAT I PAID, I CHECKED WITH AVIVA THEY TOLD THAT THE SURRENDER VALUE IS ONLY 61000 RS BUT I PAID 120000 RS .

                      THEY ARE CHEATING EVERY ONE SO PLS HELP ME, THESE ARE MY HARDLY EARNED MONEY.

                        I have purchased a policy to inspire from advertising by Sachin Tendulkar. As guided by the agents I had to pay only three instalments in this policy. Accordinly I paid three instalments and I thught to surrender after 5 years.But Aviva comp. sent me a cheque of Rs. 15000/ and closed my policy.This was very shockful to me any how I balanced myself and consulted to my wellwisher and ultimately they suggested me to continue the policy hence I was force to continue my policy.But I dont know that still it is benifitial or not. God knows.

                            கடந்த 11 /09 /2008 அன்று ஒரு பெண்மணி தன் 9 வயது பெண் குழந்தையின் படிப்புக்காக பெண் குழந்தைகள் பாலிசி policy no.ALS 2157409 ஒன்று எடுத்துள்ளார் .
                            முதல் கோணல் முற்றிலும் கோணல்
                            என்பது போல் அப்போதைய சென்னை.1 விற்பனை அதிகாரி புவியரசு அவருக்கு கமிஷன் கூடுதலாக கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கோடு பெண்கள் திட்டத்திற்கு பதில் அவருக்கு ஏற்ற திட்டத்தை கொடுத்துள்ளார் . அவர் அளித்த வாக்குறுதிகள் 3 வருடங்கள் கட்டினால் கட்டிய தொகை பல மடங்காகும் .
                            நடந்தது என்ன?
                            வருட பிரிமியம் rs15000 .3 வருடங்கள் கட்டியுள்ளார் .எந்தவொரு சேவையையும் பாலிசி தாரருக்கு தராமல் premium allocation charges , policy administration charges , morality charges ,plus service taxes என்று எடுத்தது போக மிச்சத்தை பங்கு மார்க்கெட்டில் முதலீடு செய்து
                            மொத்தக் காசும் போய் விட்டது என்று கூறி நான்காவது வருட ஆரம்பத்தில் சட்ட விரோதமாக autoforeclosure என்று கூறி பாலிசி யை குளோஸ் செய்துவிட்டார்கள் .(that day policy status 1043.085 units @ NAV rs28.71. it's value rs 29958/-)
                            chennai branch க்கு நேரிலும் , customer care ஐ phone email மூலம் தொடர்பு கொண்டார் AVIVA செய்தது சரி என்றார்கள் .IRDA வில் புகார் செய்தார்.15 நாள் நேரம் கேட்டார்கள் . இதற்கு மேல் இந்தப் பெண்ணால் என்ன செய்ய முடியும் . நீதி மன்றம் செல்லக் காசும் இல்லை . கொடியவர்களை எதிர்த்துப் போராடும் துணிவும் இல்லை . அவர் பெண் குழந்தையின் எதிர்காலதிற்கு அவர் இது நாள் வரை உழைத்து AVIVA வில் சேர்த்த பணத்திற்கு ஏமாற்றம் தான் மிச்சம் . இந்த அபலையின் கண்ணீருக்கு பதில் என்ன?. கண்ணகி காலத்தில் இருந்து தமிழ்ப் பெண்களின் நிலை இது தானோ . ஆண்டவனுக்கே வெளிச்சம்.

                              With immense grievances, disappointments & resentments, this is to apprise you that your captioned representative had put an undue influence by showing rosy pictures & unrealistic terminal benefits for above referred Policy with ulterior motive. Moreover, contrary to the contention of “Welcome to the world of Aviva Life Insurance dtd. 27.12.2010” despite of my constant follow-ups since last 6 months, your Sales Manager of Mr. Ashok Bajaj has not been responding and paying heed, it is conceived that it is pre-meditated habitual practice of a self proclaimed Company like yours which emphatically contradicts your Rosy Picture shown at the time of selling policies such as “One of the most trusted insurance companies, the Aviva Group has over 300 Years experience in the Global Life Insurance business. Our wide range of insurance solutions ensures peace and prosperity throughout your life ”. I have already brought my grievance to your cognizance by E-Mail dtd. 14.10.2011,

                              As “Life Insurance” connotes, it is supposed to be a firm patronage against any misfortune on the life of the Policy Holder at any future date, but you are deliberately indulged in cheating innocent & helpless citizen of India like me by persistent follow-ups, false assurances, fake references in a bid to victimize and place the people on

                              “Fool’s Paradise”, who pays exorbitant premiums by sacrificing certain necessities with a prime motive to secure the life against any adversities. You have degraded & tarnished the healthy tradition of Govt. owned insurance Companies, in the insurance business fraternity and literally made this business a CRUEL MOCK, which is punching & causing serious set-backs & nervous breakdown to general public like me.

                              On perusal of monthly Portfolio Report being sent to me, it is observed that there is drastic fall in Fund Value day by day against the First Premium of Rs. 1,00,000/- paid to you on 24.12.2010, which is appended herebelow :-

                              Above statement spells out your inconsistencies & volatile trends, made me a heart patient and draining out abnormal outlays in my medical treatment. A laymen will reckon that the money being invested must beat rampant inflation, i.e. if rock-bottom interest rate @ 15% is considered, surrender vale on 01.12.2011 for Premium Rs. 1,00,000/- paid on 24.12.2010, ought to have been Rs. 1,14,096.00 {Premium Amount Rs. 1,00,000/- + 14,096.00(Interest @ 15% for 343 Days)}, it is rather 74,031.00, a havoc short-fall of Rs. 40,065.00( Rs. 1,14,096/- minus Rs. 74,031/-), the percentage of reduction works out to be 40.07%(Approx).

                              Under this pathetic circumstances, you are requested to bail me out to indemnify me by paying Rs. 1,00,000/- + Interest @ 15% from 24.12.2010 till the date of disbursement, as it is pre-requisite and the onus to compensate me lies on you, altogether.

                              Soliciting your for your expeditious redressal of my genuine hardships, as being elaborated, here-in-above, at sympathetic gesture.

                                I would like to bring your attention w.r.t. Aviva’s gimmick for attracting the customers by displaying low premium and charging double by demanding more premium once a person comes into aviva’s net.

                                I had applied for aviva i life online. As per the site after considering my age and non-smoker the premium for Insurance for undersigned amounted to Rs. 13,593/- There were no other terms and conditions mentioned (Snap shot of the same is attached). Accordingly I had paid the said amount of Rs. 13,593/- on 03.01.2012. As per their instruction I had my medical check up on 08.01.2012. Since than, I had not received any message. After my 3 reminders on 9th , 11th and 13th of Jan-11, I had received a mail from AVIA that you would have to pay Rs. 10,258/-more considering your medical conditions, customers details etc.
                                The Pollicy proposal no. NUP75042279 & Policy no. AIL0029402 was given to me.

                                If these types of conditions were clearly mention / displayed with the proportionate increase in premium w.r.t. to any deviation in medical conditions and customer details, I would have already known the approximate amount for insurance and accordingly selected or rejected for considering aviva.

                                May I request your good self to intervene in this matter and do necessary for issuance of my policy as per promised amount in their web site i.e. for Rs. 13,593/- instead of charging double as in this case.

                                If the premiums are based on Medical Reports then you should send the details to Customer and If the Customer agrees, then you should start your process for UnderWriting.

                                Customers are Paying premiums and Customer will decide go-nor Decision Not by Aviva.

                                  I had a life insurance policy with AVIVA LIFE INSURENCE COMPANY INDIA bearing policy no.WLG 1474772. I have paid four annual instalments totalling to a sum of Rs-86203 . Now, it is stated by the company, vide letter dated[protected] that my policy bearing No.WLG 1474772 is auto-foreclosed since the surrender value of the policy is less than first year premium and cheque for Rs- 20319 is also enclosed. In this regard, i had requested the company's [protected]@avivaindia.com on[protected] to give detail showing how my money diminished to less than the first premium of Rs 20000/. It was once again reminded on[protected]. But till date, there is no replay from the company. A letter was also addressed to the company and sent by courier on[protected]. For that also there is no replay.
                                  Kindly help me in this regard to get my hard earned money back

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    I had purchased a policy from Aviva through an agent Aviva Freedom Life Plan policy no-RFG1644673,At the time of Purchase Aviva agent told me that you need to pay premium only for three years,I did not received the documents of policy for three years after many efforts and call i got the documents after 3 years when i went through the term and condition,I was surprised to know that premium paying term is 20 years not three and if i surrender before 20 years there will be charges ,Then i asked Aviva to cancel my policy because after geting the documents you can close the policy within 15 days because that is the colling period they said we can not do that because it's been three years if you cancel then need to pay surrender charges,After 5 years i surrendered my policy and after paying the 5 premium of 30000 total 150000 i have got only 110599 rupees.Which is injustice i paid 150000 then i must be geting at least the same amount .

                                    They said you have got wrong information from your agent and that agent left the Aviva.


                                    Kindly help me out in geting my invested capital of 150000 rupees.

                                    So what was the outcome of this complaint?
                                    As is, I too hold a policy which after 6 years and paying 1, 50, 000 is at the same level. The NAV comes to 1, 60, 000 whereas if I surrender the amount is 1, 50, 000. Absurd! Since what the agent has promised was a much rosier picture. I have waited all this years for the values to increase but to no avail. Apart from tax benefits there have been no value addition to my money. It would have been better had i invested in post office schemes for 5 years. Kindly repond!

                                        I had a policy with AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE for which I use to pay a half yearly premium. I was told by the insurance agent that If I pay premium for 3 years regularly even if I miss out payment of the same, policy would not lapse. I could not pay the premium in June and when I went To pay the premium on 9 December 2011 I was informed that the policy has relapsed . I was never informed during this period. Moreover when I called the customer care center the executive was too rude to attend the call and was not ready to answer any of my queries. I was told that I can withdraw the money. The premium amount I have paid is Rs.64682 where as the money value what I can withdraw (Policy fund value) is Rs. 38490. I would like an appropriate action be taken and my policy may be revived.
