Subject: Fraud on Axis Bank Credit card number#[protected]

With due respect my mother, Ms. Subhamita Maitra (55 years), W/O- Mr. Chandan Chakraborty residing at 29/1G
H.K. Sett Lane, PS-Sinthee, Kolkata- 700050 beg to state that this is in regards to credit card fraud
that was happened on her account. The incident is as follows:
Mr. Kunal (Mob#[protected]) called my mother on Friday, 31st October, 2014 while she was at work. He
introduced him as an employee of Axis Bank, and she asked him to call me later since she was at work then.
He called me again on Saturday, 1st Nov and told her that she was a good pay master never defaulted
on her credit card payments. He also had the information of the reward points, that she had accumulated. He
told her that she had not redeemed the points. He told her that she can redeem her points for gifts - tab,
watch, holiday etc. Being very much influenced by said Mr. Kunal, she disclosed her credit card details
to him.
As a result, on Monday, 3rd November, 2014, she got one message from axis bank regarding online
transaction for RS.25999. She refused to accept the same, then Mr. Ashok Mukherjee
(Mob#[protected]) from India shopping mania called her and returned 10000 rupees to her Axis
bank credit card account.
She also spoke to Niketan, (Mob#[protected]) who called her regarding the transactions and told
her that he is from Axis bank credit card department. However when she asked to block the credit card,
he informed it was not required. She was suspicious and called up Axis bank customer service.
She did not wish to process any of these transactions. She requested the charges to be reversed within 24 hours. She has also requested the card to be blocked after calling Axis bank.
In such circumstances, kindly do the needful in this regard and oblige. She has also lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police centre and informed AXIS Bank but they have not taken any action nor made any arrangements.
Axis Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
