I have contacted Bajaj electronics call center number on 17th or 18th November 2016 for a service visit, as water drops were leaking from my Bajaj Majesty 10 liters Geyser. Call center official had given service request number 10858245 and informed that an engineer would visit to check the geyser and charges for that would be Rs. 350.00 as it is not in warranty.
On[protected] engineer visited my residence and inspected my geyser and informed me that the SS tank is leaking due to a hole (Over usage due to corrosion it will lead to this) and suggested me that it is better to buy a new geyser as replacing the SS tank will cost me up to 85% of the cost of a new geyser and charged me Rs. 350 and gave the a bill for the visit wide number 4189.
As per suggestion of the engineer i have purchased a new AO Smith 10 Liters geyser on 03/12/2016. Recently my father visited my home and saw the old geyser lying around and inquired on what happened to the geyser and further about the new purchase. I informed my father that service engineer inspected and informed there is a hole in the SS tank and service engineer suggested its better to purchase geyser.
My father is a mechanical engineer, he immediately said that SS tank wont leak unless a manufacturing defect i.e., a flaw during manufacturing of SS tank. He immediately dismantled the whole Geyser and found that the SS tank is filled with sediment (i.e., Sand) 1/3rd of Tank. Hence the water is leaking due to sediment and later the SS tank is tested duly filling with hot water for 12 hours. The SS tank does not have any leak. Only the defect is sediment. The geyser is assembled and it is working fine.
Due to bad service and laziness/to avoid work, i have purchased a new Geyser for Rs 7200 which is a dead capital to me.
In view of the above, i request Bajaj Electronics to give the valid reasons why i should not approach the consumer court for bad service and dead capital.
Imagine how many customers are being cheated every day in country by believing company representatives. Trust is lost by this action. Not all customers will do research on what engineer says they just believe what they say.

A engineer already visited and checked the geyser and found it in working condition. But again another engineer called up to check that he wants to check the geyser. I asked him how many times it would be checked and asked him to visit on that Saturday. He never showed up and no progress after that.
