This happened to me today morning, i had board the bus at Kudlugate Bus-stop, and wanted to go to Electronic - city, i am routine traveller to Electronic- city, since, my office is located there, I asked for ticket to Electronic- city, the conductor gave me ticket of Rs.17/-, i opened my purse to give the money and found only Rs.6/- since i had forgotten to draw money from ATM, Then i requested conductor to take back the ticket of Rs.17/- and give ticket for next stop, the conductor took the opportunity of this and started scolding me saying that since he has teared the ticket he cannot take back the ticket and I have to pay him money at any cost, As though he is a sincere and prompt person he acted in such a way, but that man what he did is he took Rs.6/- from me and did not give the ticket for one stop and also he took back that Rs.17/- ticket also, and made me to get down in next stop, Ultimate is this man Made money of total Rs. 6/- + Rs.17/- and made use of opportunity of harassing and assaulting. And, also in the evening from Electronic- City to Bommanahalli, the ticket charge is Rs.19/-, if we give them Rs.20/- the Rs.1/- change is not returned in a month more than 20 days, if this conductors mean for each rupee also then they should also give back the changes received from the people, they will tell that they will give back at the time when our destination comes, and when we are about to get down and ask for the change they go and hide themselves, but also use abusive language to give back our change.almost 99% of the conductors are of same. Namaste,

This is to inform you that, three weeks back I have given complaint letter to Yeshwanthpur BMTC division personally met with the Head of the department and discussed issue.

Our BMTC bus Depo comes under Puttenahalli-30 and the bus number is 266G, KA-01 FA-727 (Morning this bus starts from Muthugadahalli to Market). This bus starts exactly at 4.30am early morning from Muthugadahalli village (Halt bus). Only one passenger will be there from that place and later they drive very vastly till Lakshmipura cross and stops there. Next they will get passengers in MS Palya and it goes to KR Market.

I stay in Muthugadahalli grama, We moved from Vidyaranyapura to Muthugadahalli to our residence two months back. I work and travel to Marathahalli daily (40kmone way). First month, when I checked with people there, I have walked till Shivakote around 4.40am to 5.15amwaiting for BMTC buses but till 5.40am, we don’t have any buses from Shivakote Circle neither buses comes from Hesaraghatta, Mathkur, Madhugiri Halli nor Shivakote Halt bus. Many will start early morning who are working but Buses are not available between 5.00am to 5.40am. Why?? Later I came to know that 266G bus starts at 4.30am and it moves out to MS Palya by 4.50am.Few times I enquired with the Driver Shiva and Conductor Umashanker directly in the evening when I got the bus. They both told Bus will start in the morning 4.30am only due to bus fare collection who goes to Market from Lakshmipura and MS Palya etc, if the bus move later 4.40am passengers will catch another bus it seems so they leave early morning.

My question is, the buses have been allocated for respective village people and for safety purpose. There in Muthugadahalli grama, if we miss this bus, there isn't any street light still we reach Sivakote (2km), we need to walk till Sivakote and wait for alternate buses. Many women workers, college students walks all the time and early morning I walked for a month in dark, it is question of public Safety specially for women. The drivers and conductors speak about collection and money and least bother of safety for women in early morning and evening. They don’t give respect while speaking and very rude behavior with Public.

Request you to take action immediately and I will be visiting Yeshwanthpur division this weekend:

      1) 266G bus: We from village request to start at 5.10am instead of4.30am since many public walk from the village for two km to Shivakote.

      2) Please remove or move out from the route, driver and conductor by name Shiva and Umashanker whose behavior is very rudely with public and almost all public argues with them. They don’t stop to pick public and never follow the timings and trips allocated till date.

      3) I have observed from past two months, the bus starts at 4.30am and Will be the catching that bus in Muthugadahalli village till Gangamma circle.

      4) When I checked with driver and conductor about next trip of 266G, they say at 7.15am they come to Muthugadahalli since school students and few regular ladies will be there. They come second trip around 7.15am I heard.

      5) Later when I checked with village people, the say they won’t see this bus coming to Muthugadahalli and no timings or them.

      6) Once I got this bus in MS Palya around 5.45pm evening, I was surprise to see our bus, when I was about to get into the bus the conductor and driver said that bus goes till Lakshmipura crossonly, when I checked why and it is Muthugadahalli bus?? They told it is too late to reach due to traffic jam so they wanted to return at the earliest.

      7) I got down and waiting for another bus which goes towards Shivakote.

      8) Please have an inspection immediately about the trips of 266G, hardly they come to last stop. I have checked the file in Yeshwanthpur dept. They have many trips, why they are Skipping the trips and where they go in-between or after 7.30am till evening the buses are not available. Some Public said that they go and stop some places and take rest or sleep.

      9) All the buses which starts with266 series which goes to Shivakote via other villages for e.g. 266E (Madhugirihalli), 272 (Mathkur), 266K (Mylappanahalli), 266H (Shivakote), 266B (No idea which oute), 253 (Hesaraghatta to Shivakote) and yes Long route bus 407 (Yelahankavia MS Palya via Shivakote via Hesaraghatta to Nelamanagala).

      10) No buses are following the timing still date. Public are dependent on these buses who travel to their residence and who all are working and students.

      11) Buses are not available between:Morning 5.00am to 5.40am, 9.00am to 10.45am, Noon 12.30pm to 2.00pm, Only 407 bus we can see sometimes but what about 266 series, from 2.00pm to 4pm, evening 5.15pm to 6.10pm and later8.00pm to 10.00pm.

      12) I regularly wait for the bus from5.30pm in Gangamma circle or MS Palya, I don’t see any buses available from 5.30pm till 6.15pm which is peak hours for working people and students. Till yesterday I did n’t any buses before6.15pm. Only after 6.15pm Hesarghatta bus comes which will be too crowd and the driver will be shouting at public and ladies to go back or he will ask them to get down etc. Then Madhugiri bus comes later. The rest of the buses are not seen, Has the BMTC allotted for other routes for rest of the buses or what else.

      13) Public require buses in the morning 5.00am to 9.00am continuously who goes regularly and evening between 5.15pm to9.00pm. Who depends on the public transport.

      14) Instruct drivers and conductors to behave indecent manner and who already has monthly pass, they speak rudely. If they can’t control their patience, let them resign and stay back at home. Specially with women and girls, ask them to speak properly and let them be silent. The buses will be moving, drivers and conductors want them to get down or get into the buses immediately. Let the driver stop the bus so that they won’t be any harm to anyone.

      15) Drivers and Conductors gives the reason, when we check with them why the buses was late, due to traffic jam, they were late or they will go back in half way to their depo.

      16) Check for 266H Shivakote bus, why it is not available in the most of the time.

      17) Request BMTC to display the trips timings to the route Shivakote bus stand, Muthugadahalli bus stop, Mathkur bus stop, Mylappanahalli bus stop, Madhugiri Halli but stop and MS Palya. Shivakote is the main circle for all these buses. Please prepare a trip chart and buses available to these areas and fix in the BUS STAND. Which helps public to check the timings and bus numbers so that bus drivers will be alert in timings instead giving reason of traffic jam and others
      .
      18) Instruct the driver to stop in between 2kms to 5kms, if they see any public walking towards the main bus stop. Buses are there for public not for animals.

Hopefully BMTC department will take immediate action as requested above and where it will be helpful for public and specially for women, girls students etc. Safety is important for public and everyone wants to start early and reach home early with safe unless the government provides public transport for villages.

      Thanks,
      Shivakote and Muthugadahalli Public

This was to cite my worst experience today with BMTC conductor. I just got into the bus at around 8:15 pm near Binnamangala signal and had to get down two steps down near 6th Main. Conductor was asking for 12 rs which was the right fare. Then I said I will get down at KFC which is very next stop and paid 5 Rs.The conductor started using some abusive language and was shouting at me telling that I was oversmart. I just ignored his comments and insisted him for the minimum fare for the very next stop. He was forcing me out from the bus in the nearby signal and was using all bad words in front of other fellow copassengers. The whole point was the approach and behavior shown by the conductor and not about anything else. He was taking something very personally and started shouting at me. Who gave the rights to him to decide where I need to get down? As far as I understand their duty is to collect the right fare for the right stage and provide an environment which is conducive to commute...Shame on that guy who tampers the brand BMTC...

The bus 500CA does not operate as per the details given by BMTC. I was waiting at the ITPL bus stop from 7PM to 8PM. Not even one 500CA came in this period. Multiple 500CA buses were going in the opposite direction. These buses are changing the route number to 500NA and coming to ITPL. This is peak hour and the frequency of this bus should be more at this time rather than at 4 PM to 5 PM. This is a very serious problem for the commuters on regular basis. Kindly address this issue immediately.

I was travelling from Gr Tech Park to Big bazar circle on 27th Feb'15. I have given 10 rupees to conductor for a ticket. He asked me to for Rs. 2 and I have given him Rs.10 as didn't have change and I asked for ticket immediately after giving him additional Rs. 10 and immediately he asked me to get town from the bus at ITPL bus stop. I started getting down at ITPL bus stop. However ther was a inspection squad to check the passengers tickets. I caught by officers and they demanded for ticket and I told them the same what I experienced in the bus. They demanded for Rs. 200 for not tacking ticket. I told them its not problem at my end and I have given conductor Rs.20 for the ticket. I told them the problem is not with me I don't want to pay fine as the problem with not with me and other passengers also complained conductor behaviour to the officers. However they simply quite for sometime to check every passengers and they asked me to get in to their private vehicle and asked me to pay Rs. 400 as they are captured the case. My question here though the problem is not with me they charged me Rs. 400 instead of Rs. 200 without any reason. I really disappointed with the officers approach and conductor from the BMTC. The vehicle number is FA-853. They didn't mention the vehicle registration code in a slip. I request BMTC higher authorities to take action against the conductor for not giving ticket and the inspection officers on 27th Feb'15 in ITPL to Tin Factory root for their rude behaviour and didn't logg complaint against the conductor instead collect fine from me Rs. 400 instead of Rs. 200.

Sir, We find that during the past few months commuters are experiencing severe inconvenience since there are no BMTC - No Buses between timing 12.45 PM to 2.15PM. BMTC should work in such a way that the shift timings are staggered. Solution: Buses should start from 6 am in case of some so that it ends by 2 pm. Similarly for some it can start from 7am to 3pm and few more from 8am to 4pm. Even BMTC can plan to start operating from 5am as well.

I boarded the Bus( license plate Number: KA 01 F 4442 Bus route 12 bus )from Banshankari to go to jayanagar south end circle on 26/2/2015 at 9.30AM. Inspite of the conductor having ample change in his hands he refused to give me a ticket and change since i had a 10 rs Note. I told him that i could see enough change in his hands still he refused and told me if you want to travel give change or get off the bus.The conductor was intentionally touching me and leaning on me, when I requested to stop this he scolded me with abusive language. I had to get off the bus and travel 1 KM of distance on foot to reach next bus stop so i could catch another bus. Kindly look into this matter. The drivers and conductors of the BMTC are very rude and always trying to make money without giving tickets..And more over no response from the bmtc toll free number

I would want to bring to your attention of an incident that happened to me today while I had boarded a 500 CA bus from Jayadeva to Intel. The bus in question is KA 57F182. The incident I am narrating was around 11:10 AM on Feb 25th.The bus driver was taking inordinate amount of time at all stops and was more interested in casual chit chat with the conductor than driving. While many passengers including me protested his lackadaisical attitude, the conductor abused me and pointed fingers at me and the other passengers and used profane language. When we intended to get down, the driver and conductor kept on abusing us and didn't allow us to disembark till the next stop while using threatening gestures.I took photos of the errant individuals (attached with post) for the relevant authorities to initiate action. The request we have is that you train your crew to have minimal decency while speaking to passengers. Please take requisite action as necessary.

                        Hello Team,

Great work of BMTC and KIA but some missing links leaves the passengers with hard feelings.

                        1. KIA 7, 7A bus from airport doesn't come in evening on time during the period Jan 11, 2016 - Jan 19, 2016[ till yesterday] with

KIA 7A supposedly starting from 4.10pm expected at(crossing Mekhri circle at 4.40pm) & KIA 7 4.30pm (crossing mekhri at 5.00pm).

                        2. 5 no of regular passengers wanting to commute to Koramangala & HSR Layout, not to mention few being 50+ years are left at Mekhri circle bus stop for more than 1.5hrs during the time 4.15pm-5.15pm.

while other airport bus including KIA 9, 12, 5, 6, 4 frequency are intact in time but KIA 7, 7A doesn't seem to cross the bus stop at all.

Passengers are waiting for more than 1 hr.

                        3. This is happening for the dates Jan 11, 2016 - Jan 19, 2016[ till yesterday].

                        4. Kindly help the long distance passengers as there is only 1 bus with 1 hr frequency and all passengers are continuously feeling upset about the same.

Hope KIA and BMTC will look to it as soon as possible and help the passengers.

I was taking a U-turn from Silk Board Junction towards the service road leading to Bommanahalli around 12.45 PM today and suddenly the Driver of BMTC Regn. No. KA 57-F-955 came from far side and brushed my car's left side bumper causing scrath mark on the bumper and damaged bumper guard. After I came out of my car and asked him about it he didn't even bothered to respond and coolly went ahead as if nothing happened and parked at the corner of sump to pick up passenger. How long do we need to tolerate this rash driving and insignificant behavior of BMTC bus driver? They act as if they are not answerable to anyone. My question is do we even have any authorized department or personality who actually can make the driver's accountable for their act? Or if at all any repercussion for their unruly behavior against the law abiding citizen of Bangalore? Lastly who will bear the cost of damages to my car?

                            Dear Sir,

From past 6 months to 1year I am suffering from this as I have seen no buses will be travelled under Route No KBS to KBS (Bus No. 96A). I have seen that drivers and conducters of this route are very lazy and time eaters. They stop the buses for this route and have lunch for more than an hour.
Due their negligency and less involment in their work People are suffering on this route. they have to wait for atleast an hour for one bus. and also the same problem is face throughout the day.

Kindly take this as serious and do the needful.

We hope BMTC is an Public support organisation not Profit oriented organisation.

Hi, I have been experiencing the same issue again and again where the Bus drivers are not ready to open the door in Volvo bus. After paying 2, 300 Rs for the bus pass we ask drivers to open the door in the signal when bus is stopped for almost 10 minuts. Usually buses will be so rush so that we get into bus to get a place to sit. Please replay to me is there any rule as such....

Bus license plate Number: KA 51 F 160 Bus route 500 I boarded the bus from B, Narayanpura to go to Tin Factory. Inspite of the conductor having ample change in his hands he refused to give me a ticket and change since i had a 100 rs Note. I told him that i could see enough change in his hands still he refused and told me if you want to travel give change or get off the bus. I had to get off the bus and travel 1 KM of distance on foot to reach next bus stop so i could catch another bus. Kindly look into this matter. The drivers and conductors of the BMTC are very rude and always trying to make money without giving tickets.

I took the BMTC Volvo Bus (56F/1290 or 57F/1290) from SJR Whitefield and wanted to get down at Hope Firm at 6.45 PM on 3rd February, 2015.The fair is 20 and i gave 100 as i was running short of change. The conductor named 'Vimalan' behaved extremely badly and shouted and abused me for not providing him exact change. It was humiliating and it is a complete disgrace for BMTC Bangalore.I am a responsible citizen and have credible educational & professional background.I just wonder if we all (i mean everyone) deserve such treatment from public service operators.I strongly condemn such behavior and gather from my colleagues and communities that this is not a 'One-Off' case but a growing issue in Bangalore. As we choose to bear the premium for BMTC volvo services, this is the least we expect from BMTC. This is a disgusting and outrageous incident that must be handled with strictest action by the authorities. After all, being a 'Outsider' we should expect minimum respect from Bangalore conductors.Feeling sorry and sympathetic to those who experience the same everyday.

On 31st January I went to jayanagar 4th block bus station to buy the monthly pass for the month of February, when I reached the counter i asked for the pass to a BMTC staff who was sitting there to issue the passes, then to my shock he has refused to give me one as I had lost the January month's pass. I showed him the 3 year's identity card issued by the BMTC and told him clearly that I had lost it, but still he refused to give me the pass and instead he asks me to "go find it and come" in a rude way. "Go find it and come"?!! We're not bloody your servants boss! Then I had to quarrel with them and take their insults. After a dirty argument with them for almost 10 minutes, that yielded nothing, I decided go to the banashankari bus stand hoping that at least there I can get the bus pass. I reached there and went to the counter to ask for the pass, there the BMTC staff has given me the pass by seeing my BMTC id card without a single word. So why these BMTC staffs at different bus stations make their own rules? Inconvenience will always be there we, everyone one o[censored]s, do understand it but please don't embarrass us by doing these kinds of things. I'm deeply hurt by your unruly act. I Hereby requesting the concerned authority to please make sure that the same rules are followed everywhere. And train your staffs to behave properly with commuters. Not only me, I have seen lot of other people who stand for hours in the queue and go back disappointed when they reach the counter. Please do take action regarding and please make customer-friendly rules. Yours sincerely Prasad.

The bus conductor asked me to pay Rs.12 from dairy circle to Jaydeva hospital. The are two stops for jaydeva from Dairy circle;one is before the four crossing and the other is after the four crossing. I always get down before the four crossing. If you get down before the four crossing from dairy circle you are charged Rs.5/- but if you are dropped after the four crossing you will be charged Rs.12/-.Anyway it is not my business to take classes about the bus charges .I asked him to give Rs.5 ticket because I was travelling in this route for months and he was reluctant to get the Rs.5 and he demanded Rs.12.I didn't understand what he spoke in kannada I think he might have adopted language racial discrimination with me.He humiliated and abused me by spitting towards me infront of other commuters in this issue because I couldn't speak the language he spoke to me and I demand an explanation from him on behalf of the people who supported me during this incident. Also I registered a complaint in BMTC online complaint with Problem/Ticket No-11901.After that I didn't receive any feedback from them.I dont understand why they have such online complaint system to take no action against any complaint. This is my second complaint against the misbehaviour of the bus crew with no action. I seek the authorities to take severe against bus conductor for his misbehaviour with the public Bus No-KA 01 FA 150 My bus ticket No- KN44 699651 Date-23.01.2015 Time -4.25PM-4.30PM BMTC complaint No-11901
