I am a regular BMTC user, travelling since 7 - 8 years regularly (almost everyday) and recent times I am seeing that the buses are not cleaned regularly. Today (08-May-2014) I boarded the bus (with number plate KA-01 F-3063) in Thanisandra around 11:50 AM and was shocked by the amount of dust layered on the seats. The last seats were even dirtier and none of the passengers even dared to go near the seats and it looked like the bus was not cleaned at least for 20 to 25 days. It is not because of the rain as the dirt were dried up and completely sticking to the seat. I wanted to check the route number of the bus after getting down at Nagawara, but the number board was even dirtier (completely brown in colour) and I could not even see the number on the board. And I am sure that no passengers can make the Number board dirtier and this is completely a case of not cleaning the bus regularly. Please take care of this, as the ticket cost is increasing almost every six months, as a commuter we are entitled to get some good service including the cleanliness inside the bus. Also BMTC is a pride of Bangalore and we need to take care of it.

I am travelling from Marathahali to Agara Daily in 500 series buses. When fare was less than/equal to Rs. 15, I was giving the exact change maximum times and was worried to give exact change. But last 2 weeks fare has been changed 15 to Rs. 17 and now its difficult to give exact change fare. So it's the responsibility of conductor and BMTC.

But the problem I faced, conductors are giving change to all Karnataka people(Local), but not to outsider. He had lots of change money but not willing to give. Just imagine how much they are earning extra money per day. Still after argument he told, we can't understand what you are saying, tell inKanada. Though we are from other state and don't know local language, so we are suffering this type of problem.

BMTC should implement smart card system OR provide tickets for few days at a slot.
Ex: Let's say fare is Rs.17. I can buy tickets for 10 days. In this way we can avoid this problem and no tension of change.

Hi, I boraded my bus from New horizon college around 7.15pm in BMTC 500D volvo bus number KA 57F41 to kempapura ring road. I stood up and went near the door 2min before my stop and I noticed that teh driver did not give a stop in the Bus stop (Kempapura stop), when asked the conductor and the driver to stop, the conductor mocked at me saying "We asked if anyone wants to get down that time you did not respond and now we cannot give a stop, get down at next stop". Now, tell me how will I understand if he was talking to driver or to passengers, in a crowded noisy bus and me sitting in one of the back seats how am I suppose to listen to this and respond. So, is it that we will have to raise our hand before every stops saying we have to get down, we have to get down. Plus, I think if a passenger is getting down or not, the driver has to stop in every bus stop. Also, while getting down when I was noting the bus number, the conductor threatened me showing actions meaning he will take care of me next time. I'm really scared to get into buses with such drivers and conductor. Kindly warn them. -- Geethu

An action should be taken on such kind of issues. It is a public transport not the private vehicle and they are public servants. It is not right to behave like this with female passengers and also they should be aware of the timings. In fact they should be kind enough in stopping in the right place. They are not doing any social service instead they are paid for it. It is better to be aware that your paid for this job.

          Kindly provide a good service
Oh yes, when it reached hebbal it was 8.45 and I had to go and catch another bus back to my stop again for which I had wait 15min and it was 9.15 when I got back kempapura bus stop.
Every Volvo bus has to be equipped with GPS and CCTV cameras to capture such incidents. The BMTC employees are not bothered because whatever they do no one is punishing them because of no such proofs. They also speed up and compete with other buses to reach first. Where is the safety of the commuters ??

he went in speed of 10-20 from itpl to bsk

On[protected] The Volvo bus no KA01 F4610 leaving itpl at 3-15 pm reached bsk at 5-15 with nill traffic.the driver was so arrogant that he never took any passengers into consi deration on repeated informing.

Also would like to bring to your notice, Driver had stooped 10 mins in Hope farm to pick the passengers, are drivers and conductors working for commission or really wanted to service the citizens . Sack such kind of Drivers who are abusive, reckless driving and not providing good service to the citizens ...

I have a monthly pass but to use the Fly Over to Electronic city from Silk Board we need an extra ticket of 5Rs each time.
I boarded the Bus 'KA57F951', [BUS NO 356CW] around 7:45 am on friday the 18th April 2014 from East End Bus stop and showed my monthly pass. I also asked for a 5Rs ticket to go over the fly over. He told me to take the ticket afterwards.
After a while, when the bus was going over the fly over, i asked for a ticket. The conductor took the cash and started screamimg at me for not giving him the cash earlier.
I kept asking him for the ticket till the end but he kept screaming that he had finished giving tickets and closed the log (or something) and will not be giving me any ticket. I had to get down in the Electronic City bus stand without the ticket.

Please do counsel the bus conductors to deal with passengers more JUSTLY and APPROPRIATELY

I traveled by 335E with number KA 01 1F 1677 from Kadugodi to Richmond road around 1.30 today. It was the most harrowing experience in a Volvo. The conductor abused all the passengers in the bus and the driver also yelled at everybody! The driver refused to stop at Richmond road bus stop and for fun he stopped at the next stop! Why should we pay that much of money to travel by a volvo when the conductor and driver are so callous and have such cheap mentality! I felt harrased as a woman by the driver! They need to be fined for behaving this way! Earlier the Volvos had cordial staff! Why have they started allowing such cheap people to become staff! Strict action needs to be taken on them!

Hello, I travel from Hebbal to Mahadevpura. April1st I asked for monthly pass. I was given 1950Rs Pass. I asked the conductor as why they have reduced the pass by 50Rs and I showed them the company employee ID as well. Conductor informed me that "there is no difference between those 2 passes..you have the pass dont worry, this is new pass".Generally I was given 2000Rs Pass. Yesterday on April3rd I boarded ITPL to Hebbal volvo bus. Conductor did not accept my pass as I did not have BMTC ID card and I was asked to purchase ticket. And I did so. Now I am asked to go to yeshwanthpur and purchase BMTC ID card. For conductors mistake, why I am asked to buy the ID card? Instead I will pay 50Rs extra, let them give me the correct pass. BMTC service is definetly not passenger friendly. I wont be buying pass from next month, so it does not make sense to buy BMTC ID card. I cant even go to yeshwanthpur or Majestic as I have a small baby. I tried to contact senior officer at Hebbal, but no one was available. This is really very bad service. Please suggest me the next step of action

I am a regular BMTC commuter and have been using this bus service for the last 25 years, but unfortunately an incident took place today evening when I was returning home. I was terribly disappointed. Firstly I urge all the conductors and the checking inspectors to know how to behave with elderly women. I boarded bus no. 335A(KA01 F9532) from Brooke Bond bus stop, took a seat. The conductor passed by and I called him out (2-3 times) to issue the ticket. But he was ignorant. In the meantime the next stop came (Kodi bus stop) and inspector got in and the conductor immediately handed over all the remaining tickets to him. In fact I was holding the bus fare in my hand, but the inspector was of the view that I was travelling ticket less. I tried convincing the inspector that it was the mistake of the conductor by not issuing the ticket in spite of me calling him twice and being ready with exact change in my hand. But the inspector was not ready to listen and was hell bent on charging me with a fine of Rs.150/-. He also mentioned that if I don't pay the fine, I will have to go with him to the police station. I was fighting for justice, but they were not ready to budge. So I had no other choice, but to pay the fine for no mistake of mine, but that of the conductor. I am terribly disappointed and this is not the way the commuters should be treated especially the honest and the elderly ones.

Complaint against the bus conductor for his misbehavior and his offensive language. Respected sir, I would like to lodge a complaint against a bus conductor who behaved in a very bad manner with me and used some offensive language either. The story is as follows. I hopped into a BMTC bus no KA-01FA-1919 in the bus route 285 at Rajanukunte on 5th march 2014 around 12:30 pm. The bus conductor is asking for the tickets and he got near me and issuing a day pass to another person on the other side of the bus. So, the conductor’s backside is facing me, and I asked for a day pass twice and he did not listen to me and is going back, then I asked for the pass in a bigger tone, and then the thing started. He started arguing with me that I should have asked for the pass before as the bus has come to a checking station now. I said, I asked twice and you didn’t listen, now why are you shouting on me as it is your fault. Then he started abusing me, speaking in kannada (thika muchuko), and there is the worst part of offensive language. What right does he has to use such an offensive language upon me? The conductor did not even issue ticket for the person sitting beside me till asked him for a pass in a louder tone. There is a best part to this story, and that’s the great other Indian passengers and the co-employees of the conductor who were present in the bus were saying that this is my mistake and I should keep my mouth shut. What crime did I commit? The only one who is supporting me is the guy beside me who did listen to me twice while I am asking for a day pass. I even asked the conductor to give his name, so that I would complaint against him, he denied and repeated the same curse words (thika muchkondu, koothko). As I said before, no other passengers came to my rescue and in turn were saying me to sit down. I am humiliated and utterly disappointed with such a worse behavior from a public servant, who is having his wages from the taxpayers of this country. It is something like we are paying to our servants, so that they would abuse us elegantly. I expect a sincere apology from this guy and there should be a protocol that every bus conductor should address the passengers as “sir” and “madam”. When we call them, “sir”, doesn’t they have the responsibility of calling us, “sir”? Another rule should be made that if the co-passengers speak anything against or behalf of the passenger in such a situation, then they should be taken into the contempt of law. I am attesting two photographs. One is a snap taken inside the bus, and unfortunately it doesn’t depict a clear picture of the conductor. The other is the number plate of the bus. I was travelling from Neeladri Nagar to Wipro, Electronic City on 26/02/2014 10:35 a.m. through 378 Kengeri bus Bus no: KA-57-F-1158. Since already waited for bus more than 10 minutes, all o[censored]s got into the bus even though it was almost getting full. One of the lady next to me demanded for a ticket & the conductor asked her to wait since his hand is not free. She demanded for the ticket again when he was a bit comfortable, the he started shouting at her. When her stop came, she again asked for ticket & now he stated scolding her after she got down also, but she didn't leave & finally he gave the ticket. Now since his hand was more free now (since the lady got down), I asked for ticket. He started scolding me & I told him that what his problem was in giving ticket when we give money. He stopped the bus, misbehaved by holding my hand and pushing me down to get me out of the bus. I told that this is government's property & refused to get down. Then he started using some abusive local language & started scolding till my stop came. This is the best example of the worst situations which commuters face due to Bmtc bus conductors & all the fault is in just asking to give ticket.I have complained to the nearby BMTC bus depot. Not sure if they are gong to take any action & hence drafting a complain through this site. Please, please take necessary action against such people who behaves brutally without any respect to women & who tries to eat up governments money. Prathyusha Ph no: [protected]

I am daily passenger of 500 D Volvo bus. Today evening I was travelling from my office to my house around 5pm.
I had told the conductor many times driver is driving rashly. Two ladies were standing and he put the sudden break and they fell down.My right hand got hurt and my right side of the chest also. Then the conductor is telling me it is because they want to pick up the staff from Manyatha. The bus number is KA 01 F9096. The bus started from Intel at 5pm and reached to Nagawara at 6pm.

I was going from Karthik Nagar to Next stop Total Mall. I gave Rs.5 to the conductor but he didn't give me ticket and the checking officer came and asked me the ticket. I told him that the conductor didn't give me ticket. Instead asking about it to the conductor he asked me about Rs. 200. I was telling him that was not my fault but he didn't take any action against the conductor. He charged me Rs. 200. The officer told call the police about it the police said complaint to BMTC. When i called BMTC they told me register complaint online. The Bus number is 500D (KA 57 F 731). I know nothing is gonna happen. Just want to aware to my dear friends about this. Regards, Nikhil

                                        Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

My name is Aradhana. I am working as an Scientist and Team Lead in a top biotechnology company in Bangalore.
I normally take BMTC bus from Yashwantpur to Cantonment Railway Station. Today, on 24th January 2014, I took BMTC bus 252A/7 (KA 50 F 161, D 22) at around 4:45 PM in the evening from Yashwantpur. The conductor was issuing tickets to others in the back. I took seat in front part behind driver’s seat and kept ticket money ready, waiting for conductor to finishing issuing tickets to other passengers in Male passenger’s section and come to front side of the bus for issuing tickets to those recently boarded the bus. Within 2 minutes of my boarding in the bus, before the RMC yard bus stop, the ticket checker (name Mr. S. V. ) boarded the bus and started checking the tickets. Since I was on first seat, he asked me for tickets. I politely told him that I am waiting for conductor to issue me a ticket, because I just boarded the bus and Conductor is on the back side issuing the tickets. However the ticket checker started arguing with me very arrogantly. He did not even listen to other passengers who had witnessed the incident. The ticket checker forced me to pay Rs. 200/- for no faults of mine. Instead he was insulting me in front of the whole BUS crowd. I would like you to take strict action against the officer (Mr. S. V.) who was doing a mugging act. The checker also held his hand to block my way when I insisted on both o[censored]s going to police station. Please provide me compensation of the whole amount and additional insulted charges, especially insulting and harassing a woman. Thanks and I will be eagerly waiting for your reply and action. I will be giving a police complaint as well. I urge you to support us and remove some of the money-minded staff in BMTC so as to make the BMTC run smoothly and take care of women employees who are honestly paying for the tickets without fail every day.
