To whom so ever it may concern,
I, Harshada Upasani, took a government bus with the route number 335A, whose license plate number is KA 01 FA 920 on 09/05/2012 around 0830h. Before boarding the bus, I asked the driver if it went to Command Hospital and he nodded. When I got on I again told him that I have to go to Command Hospital. He did not reply with the amount I have to pay so I went and started looking for a place to sit. There were men sitting on the seats assigned to the ladies, I told them to move and another girl and I sat. At the next stop, Kundalhalli Gate, I noticed 2 officers in uniforms were talking in general to the bus in kannada and the only words I could understand were ticket. So I asked him for a ticket to Command Hospital. The girl next to me asked me whether I knew kannada, when I replied in negative, she informed me that they weren't conductors and were in fact checking for passengers travelling without ticket. I again asked the driver for a ticket, by then the officers told me I had to pay a fine of Rs 130 because I didn't carry a ticket. I told them the driver didn't tell me how much it was and I assumed there was a conductor on the bus. They didn't listen or even consider that it was the driver's fault. 2-3 other people were also slapped fines and had to pay due to the same reason. The receipt that I was handed is written in kannada completely and I cannot comprhend what is written. The numbers written on top right are Y-11A 074758.
I request you to look into this matter and provide justice. I am an army officers' daughter and a 21 year old law abiding citizen. I request you to look into this matter and also consider my suggestion of having a conductor on each and every bus.

BMTC — Not giving changes
Dear sir.It is very worst character that BMTC bus conducters are following now a days, they are not giving us change for RS.20 and so on.if they have it also they are not ready to give change. it is more than 5th time i am facing this problem from them. even if we ask also they will tell they do not have change.. please give us correct justice. we cannot argue with them for long time for change. please guide them in proper way or just give them swap card system. so if they will not find change we ll swap our card for exact change..
