I daily travel from Indiranagar to Banashankari Bus Stop. From Indiranagar I easily get a bus but to Banashankari. But from BSK I have to wait for around 30-45 mins in that hot.. One day I found that my bus(Volvo 201R) are all on time but they dont enter the newly made bus stand and just directly go to the next stop. If that was the case then why you made that bus stand??
also they dont stop the bus outside the bus stand saying that it is not a stop. Having no other option, I have to take a normal bus to Indiranagar while having a Volvo pass. When buses dont go as they are supposed to then why one should take a pass.??
Please rectify this problem as I feel very tired after going to college and I ve to travel for 1 and a half hour to my destination. My travel will be easier if it is a volvo as it is fast and air conditioned..

      HI

Myself a software engineer commuting by bus every day to office. It is where disappointing that such incident has happened on bus DAY organized by BMTC.

i would like to lodge a complaint against the BMTC transport

The conductor took 12 rs and did not issue ticket citing he has already made an entry for that stop meanwhile when we are asking for the ticket the BMTC ticket checking entered the bus and insisted to pay fine for 120 citing that we dint take that ticket.
Conductor agreed to issue the ticket as every other people in the bus had witnessed that we had given money.the squad did not allow the us to take the ticket and shunned him away from issuing the ticket and forced and insulted 3 passenger including me to pay the fine.Squad also asked the conductor to repay the 12 rs that was given .This clearly shows even the squad knew that we had given money. The Squad surely lacks decision making on this regard

      my compliant is against the
      1. conductor who did not give the ticket immediately
      2. The squad who forced to pay fine even though knowing that i had paid money and failed to fine conductor

        2.Rough Behaviour.
All most all the bus drivers & conductors are behaving in so rough way as if we are travelling free of cost. When we behave in a proper way, in return we'll expect the same response. For small small things they 'll ask us to get down.

SPECIALLY BEHAVIOUR IS SO RUDE FOR NON-KARNADIGAS.

So i expect some action regarding this.

        Thanking You

I have been using BMTC buses for the last 15 years. The mental trauma I have undergone for the last two-three years have been agonizing and irritating. There have been many reasons why this happened to me.
        1. Since from the time the BMTC introduced automatic doors, it has been more of inconvienence than safety. Because they have to keep opening and closing the doors, they do not stop in certain Bus Stops though there are bus stops boards indicated by BMTC. In places where bus stop is near a traffic signal, the driver considers that signal as a bus stop and stops near the signal. If a passenger wants to get out of the bus and even if the bus is waiting 2-3 minutes in the signal, the drivers do not open the door. But for women, girls and people who look like Ango Indians they readily open the doors. In these days when the bomb scares are getting more and if at all unfortunately some terrorist blasts in a bus with closed doors, just imagine the sufferings that may take place.
        2. Some buses especially 107, 107C, 107D, 107d-27E does not have stops near Indian Express, does not stop in Cunningham, Jaymahal, Munireddy palya and T.V. Tower bus stops at 8 a.m. trip in the mornings from Shivajinagar.
        3. Most conductors take money, but do not give ticket for two to three stops.
        4. The buses (205A, 197) coming from Indiranagar, etc do not stop near Lake Side Hospital and Thomas Cafe. The driver of route #197 stops only if girls or women want to get in or out of the bus, otherwise he just keeps moving nonstop. If he stops, he goes far away from where people are standing (after the traffic signal) and stops. Fat women, elderly person and I have to run behind it making it a matter of laughter for people watching us. Even after waiting for 30 to 45 minutes when 205A comes at 8.30 a.m. does not stop near Thomas Cafe of saying there is no stop there. Hence keeps moving at green signal.
        5. Never put into their ears any requests made by boys or men. Never open the doors when wanting to come in or go out. Never gives stop if requested on emergency (when it is 10 p.m. or raining heavily, etc).
There were 8 people waiting with me starting from Thomas Cafe to Mekri Circle. But now I am the only one to wait. Six of them bought two wheelers.

I have become very upset and angry in the recent days. I face the above problems almost daily. BMTC encourages people to use BMTC for transition and refrain from using personal vehicles, but has not checked into the attitudes of drivers and conductors who do not stop at bus stops. Raises travel fares and monthly buspass fares, but never looked into insincereity of the conductors who do not give tickets even after taking the exact money from commuters. Even inspectors when they catch the conductors for not issuing tickets take bribes from the conductors and go without filing a complaint. No doubt why Bangalore has been facing the traffic problems, jams, accidents, etc. Will anyone give answer to this.
        Raghavendran Ramanujam's reply, Mar 5, 2019
Disciplined public transport system with excellent behaviour or staff members can almost vanish personal vehicles of citizens and roads will be free even in office timings.
        Hi Babita,
I've been facing this problem since I came to Bangalore in 2004. A very recent incident goes like this...
I boarded the VOLVO bus from Silk Board and gave the conductor Rs100. He should have deducted Rs15 till Kadirenahalli Cross. Instead he gave me Rs35 saying that I never gave him Rs 100. On insisting he actually manhandled me and started saying abusive words against Non-Kannadigas. Don't expect any action against anyone. I would suggest, you carry some change with you and don't give them the chance to take extra money from you.

        Regards,
        Deepak

        BMTC — Inconvenience to passengers.

Bus No. 215c ( a bus from majestic to Jambu Savari Dinne) has been taking all the way round to reach the destination because of road construction going on in 15th cross and it was taking long time. Now the buses goes straight from konanakunte cross and does not go through Brigade Millenium has created lot of convience and on September 11th, 2008, i got through a 215c bus at 6.30 and conductor told it does not go to Navodaya Nagar and goes straight to Jambu Savari Dinne via konanakunte cross. I do not know whether all these comes to BMTC's notice. Because of road construction, i request u to create an alternative instead of causing so much of inconvienience to people and please avoid single driver and conductor during peak hours in crowded buses after 5.
        Hello Sir/Madm,

I was traveling from Kodgenhalli gate to Kodgenhalli railway gate. I boarded the bus at Kodgenhalli gate and took the ticket as soon as I got in to the bus. Bus # was KA01 F 2500.Other two people also got along with me and they were traveling the same path. Bus conductor behaving in such rough way, dint even gave back change of Rs 3 to all 3 o[censored]s. And when we asked he asked us to get down from bus and started scolding in slang language. Please take proper action.
        Jai Karnataka!!!

        From,
        Sanjana, 29 Sept 2008, Bangalore

BMTC Pushpak Bus — Mis behavior with Passanger

On 05/01/2009 at 20:50 the Pushpak bus No. KA-01 FA-153 coming from HAL with root No. 333H was standing on the Mysore Bank Bus stop and the door was closed. I went to the driver and requested him to open the door. then he told that he will not open. For clarification I told him that the I am having Pushpak Pass. He replied very rudely that if you are having pass then board the next bus and didn't opened the door.
I boarded the next bus and went to KBS station. I spoken to the station incharge in his cabin and tried to complain against him but he told me to give in writing tomorrow. Then I went to proceed for my next journey and I found that the same bus with the same driver was their to go for Basaweshwar Nagar and the driver was Quarreling with one of the aged passenger. The passenger told him to open the door and he replide that If you are so much hurried then go in Auto. If all the passengers go by auto then why is required.
First of all the Pushpak bus service is very less because off private company pickup/drop service and if the drivers behave like this then what is the use of taking Pushpak pass.

Please help me some for this matter

        Thanks & Regards,

        Kumar
        Hi,
Last friday I faced a similar situation. The conductor didn't give us any tickets, was just collecting the money. On few o[censored]s demanding to have the ticket said it was not necessary & checking wont be done. We insisted to have ticket irrespective of the checking, for which he gruntingly gave it to few.
Infront o[censored]s all, Rs 200/- from the conductors bag went into the Driver's pocket.

On top of all this, the driver was drunk, no one were able to stand near the first row, both of them were smoking.

when few o[censored]s, tried to warn them, they hardly paid any attention.
So the first thing I did after getting down the bus was, went into a cyber cafe, searched the telephone numbers to lodge a complaint, so that they could be caught red handedly before the bus reaches majestic, which may take around 1 hour due to friday traffic.
But all my efforts went in vain. The phone wasn't picked at all for 15 minutes I had been trying to reach them.

        The bus no. was 335A KA01 FA2002

Then whats the whole point of having a complaint phone number!

        BMTC — Arrogant conductors

I use to take BMTC buses from KR Puram station to Kundalahalli gate bus stop, since there is no direct bus connecting KR Puram and Brookfield. I use to board another bus from Kundalahalli gate bus stop to Brookfield, once the BMTC conductor said the fare was Rs.10/- for both my wife and me. On receipt of Rs.10/- from me he did not give the ticket, when asked he got so angry he started swearing in Kannada in front of all passengers. Due to this he said the fare is 8+8 Rs.16/- and not Rs.10/- for 2 kms, it should have been the minimum. In the end I paid Rs.16/- and i got tickets. BMTC has to take strict actions, since the money earned by these buses are not going to BMTC, hence the consumer will not be benefited on longer runs because BMTC will not have the money to introduce new buses.

BMTC — Improper bus fare collection

I am staying in BSK 3rd stage. I travel in BMTC Bus i start from kattariguppe and get down in banashankari some 501 bus take 5 Rs and Some take 7 Rs. Why such a difference in the fare from same stop?

        BMTC - Route180, 65b — not stopping bust @busstops

at the newly constructed busstop opp. ubi, basaveshwarnagar- the above mention route driver think they need not have stop the bus in the said stop inspite of seeing people waiting there

it is surprising to see the weird happyness the faces of these drivers for not stopping the bus and driving past, letting people to wait for ever. I feel there is no authority to instruct them . What the bmtc authority is doing and why wasting money to construct new busstops if the employees are not trained to stop the bus at these stops

BMTC BUS Conductors — Conductors Not Giving Ticket

        Hello Sir,
Its very disappointing every day to see instances like this early in the morning.
Even after repeated request also Conductors are not giving tickets for passengers.
It has become a habit for them to eat away Government's money. How can India progress it is the case with the Govenment employees?I see this kind of behaviour only in Bangalore BMTC till now.
Almost 80% of the conductors are behavibg the same way.
I humbly request the concerned authority to take severe necessary actions to avoid this.
I have one instance occured today and I have noted the Bus details. Please see if this helps and take the necessary action on the conductor.

Route 201 - From Indira Nagar to Banshankari
        KA 01 F3240
Time of journey - Morning around 9:00 AM

Please help India grow and this see an end to this corruptions in daily life.

BMTC — Rash driving and not stoping at the stop

The drive and the conductor of the bus no KA-01 FA-1691 on 1-may-2009
at 6 pm bus route from shivaji nagar to J P Nagar 6th Phase . The Driver was driving very rashly and he skipped many of the stop (noticing from past one month). tommorow i.e on 1-may-2009
at 6 pm a aged man one to come into to the bus the driver as usal dit stop at the stop and when the passenger shouted at the driver both conducter and driver misbehaved with the elderly person and they where trying to prove as if it was his mistake please take strict action on both as it has become their routine of both (Driver and conductor)
I was waiting for this bus 402D in the Guttahalli stop (Near to cauvery theatre). I saw the bus taking the bypass road instead of coming to the bus stop. I boarded another bus and luckily could catch the same bus in yelahanka new town. When i got into the bus the condutor was making few passengers get down from the bus saying that he dint have change with him. He said the same thing to me and asked me to get down as i dint have a change of 3 Rs. I said him if he had come to the bus stop in guttahalli i would have given him the exact change. He said there was another bus so he dint come to the bus stop. I said him that there was no bus and that is why i was in his bus.
He anyways made me get down from the bus. While getting down i said him i would complain about this. He said me go ahead and do it.
The bus number was 1937 and i couldnt see the conductor's name over his badge. Not sure he was wearing a badge also.

BMTC — Bus is not stoping at the bus stop

        Dear Sir/Madam,

Yesterday 20-05-09 I was traveling in a bus 328 B from Kadugudi to Saigarden . The Bus stop is recently sanctioned. The driver of the bus did not stop at the stop even after my repeated request. More over the bus was stopped near Belthur for the convenience of the driver. He not only stopped at the stop but also behaved very arrogantly. The stop is actually sanctioned as a request stop and all the buses used to stop there. Next stop which is Seagehally is about 15mns walk from Saigarden. It will be really convenient for the commuters if the drivers stop the buses at the stop, not at their convenient places. Please take this complaint seriously because walking on this road is not safe and as a lady it is very difficult for me especially in this weather.

There are no buses stoping at trinity circle from past one week at peak hours i.e 6pm to 7pm. The Bus no's 330, route: shivajinagar to marathahalli which used to stop at trinity circle, take diversion at Bangalore central instead of proceeding towards MG road and trinity circle. This is causing great difficulty to the people travelling fro trinity circle to Marathahalli. Please consider this issue as top priority and take action as soon as possible
I faces similar problem in kormangala route, bus no KA-01 F-2558 today
I want to know is there any genuine forum where we can put our complains about these bmtc conductors and expect proper action against them?please let me know at the earliest
A driver-cum-conductor is cheating passengers not accepting puspak passes...instead he it taking money without giving tickets..

I request the authorities to kindly take an action and look into this issue on priority.

        BMTC — Charging excess fare

I am Shibu Y Das, working as Assistant Audit Officer (Gr. B Gazetted) in the officer of Accountant General (Central Govt.).

Today (10.06.09) i travelled from RT Nagar (Post office junction) to Kanak Nagar by bus route 415. i forgot to note down the bus number. the ticket fare is Rs.6

at first he took Rs. 5 and did not issue the ticket. when i asked for the ticket he toook Rs. 8 (while the actual fare is Rs.6). and he even challenged me to complain when i questioned him. i seriously doubt that what he issued to me was not a new ticket, but he was already issued to somebody else thus recycling the ticket (this i am not sure). Ticket No. is R[protected]the ticket reads KSRTC while the bus belongs to BMTC)

i hope that authorities notice this complaint and take action to prevent this.

BMTC — misbehaved by BMTC bus conductor(KA-05-667)

        Dear Sir,

i am working for a software company and every day evening around 7.15pm i used to board the 342(bus no:)bus from belandur gate near by spring field, Sarjapur road bus stop to reach kaikondrahalli bus stop.
usually i pay Rs3/- rupees and Bus conductor use to give a ticket for that.

but 9.06.2009/ 7.15pm was a nightmare for me.

i board the BUS KA-05 6667 bus and handed over Rs.10/ to conductor for belandur gate sub stop to kaikondrahalli bus stop. first he took the money and didnt returned any thing. when i asked how much is the ticket?, he started abusing me, like dont you have change, its Rs.5/-.and still didnt gave me the ticket.
when i asked i usually go by Rs.3/-, please handed over my money and give me the ticket.
then he started behaving like an abnormal persone.and told me if you dont know kanada i will throw you out from the bus.i will not give you the ticket.he even started push me out and touched on my shoulder to hit me.since my hands are full with by laptop and tiffenbox and other laugage, i was not able to defend properly.still i tried to defend my self.when i told him i will give a complain, he told me go ahead daringly.
even then he fingured out his hand on my face and touched me on my shoulder and hitted me.i tried my best to defend myself.onlookers were enjoying and laughing.

other co-passangers are really enjoying that scenario, without helping me.
i can say since i am not a kanadian i faced such kind of rough behavior.

Dear sir, i hope you will take proper action against the conductor.
i hope this complain will not be reside just like a complain in your data base without any proper action against it.

        thanks & regards.

        Bus complain
        Dear Sir,
This is complain against an unknown bus conductor of BMTC(Bangaluru metropolitan transport corporation). Me and my wife was traveling in BMTC bus route no. 500. We caught bus from Nakundi (dodunakundi). We gave ticket charges to conductor and asked for ticket. Till the way to multiplex we were just asking for ticket. And when our stop came that time the conductor showed us the way to get down. He didn’t gave us ticket but took the charges. The bus no. was KA 53, 1791. And date was 9th june 2009.
What should I do now. Where should I file the complain.
        Rajat.

is there any action has been taken against the conductor?
My name is ravi. a resident of K R PURAM. This complaint is about a negligancy and bad driver. This morning as usual i was riding to office. In Beniganahalli, this bus (KA 01 FA 1736 of depot 6) had bloked the traffic..by parking the bus in the middle of the road. I tried to tel him about his mistake, he started shouting and abusing. I then noted down the number of the bus and went ahead to see if i can see any cops..so that i can complain. The same bus again followed me and tried to hit me to the divider. I finally found a traffic SI near NGEF circle. i explained him.. But didnt get a proper response. He just noted down the number of the bus and said we wil take action. Is there anyone who can take actions on poo public? Is there anyone who can make these rude drivers pay for their negligence and abusings? PLEASE HELP ME.
        Respected Sir,
I am a student of MVJ College of engineering daily commuting from channasandra to hal.For which I have bought a yearly pass after paying a total sum of Rs 1340/- on which it is clearly mentioned that validity June 2009.
Today on 10 june 2009 when I boarded on the bus KA-01 FA 1884 at 1:30 pm from hopefarm the conductor after checking the pass told its not correct. I should put one more sticker on it valid for june for which I should go to majestic. When I showed him the hologram he shouted at me and forced me to get down at next stop.
->If that was the case then why additional 400 rs should a student pay to get a 12 month pass .
->easily one can take 10 month pass and get that sticker.
Hoping that BMTC will take a action soon.
        Thanking you

BMTC — Introduce more buses to Malathahlli, balaji layout

Request the BMTC authorities to improve the bus-facility for areas surronding Malathalli-Balaji Layout/Jnanajyothinagar. All the residents have to come to the ring-road (kengari) to catch buses either going towards market/magadi road/nagarabhavi.

Please extend 61As; 238u, 235 series;238 series upto Malathahalli Balaji Layout. This will ease the traffic near NAgarabhavi circle and also help the commuters who reside in the surroinding areas of Malathahalli, balaji layout.

        BMTC — ka-01 f-7603

this driver of ka-01f-7603 brushied my car and the conductor started arguing saying that its was not his mistake and was about to hit me while i was still carrying my 4 yr old son at banashankari. if not for my accompanying my son, something serious would have resulted in this. It may also too in future since conductors ply on same bus/time for sometime.
        Respected Sir/Madam,
BMTC has put in a lot of the effort to streamline the traffic and also increased the frequency of buses.
Though there are lot of buses on the ring road, they either stop at hebbal or continue towards BEL, but there are no direct buses which continues towards Yelahanka.
There are lot of passengers who get down at Hebbal and walk across and then take Yelahanka buses.

So, May I request you to look into this matter. By providing a service towards the direction mentioned above, you will be really helping a lot of commuters.
We can save a lot of time and enery while commuting by single direct bus.

I request again to consider this matter inpar with others issues that you may be handling right now.

        Thanks & Regards,
        Shobha.
        Hello,

I'm Anitha Working in software firm at Bannerghatta Road, B T M Layout. Every day I use to travel by BMTC buses.

Today I travelled in KA-01-FA-1901 Bus No. 365J. I took this bus from NIMHANS & was suppose to get down near Sagar Hospital. I gave conductor 5 Rs & he didn’t give the Ticket till the stop came. When I forced for the ticket he gave me Rs.6 ticket & asked me to pay other 1 Rupee. This is really ridicules wherein he was suppose to charge Rs.3 from me but he has charged Rs.6 instead. Hence I request the authorities to take immediate action.

        Thanking You
        Anitha
I know that some of the bus conductors in Bangalore are greedy...but this fellow is too much. He charged me Rs. 10 from tin factory to Hoodi BigBazaar. The bus number is 304. (KA 01 FA-892).
BMTC conductors not returning change and issuing tickets.

Hello this is Fehmina working for an immigration company. Every day I travel to office which is in Indiranagar by BMTC buses, The bus I take is 132, I have a complaint against the conductor, when i used to give the conductor Rs. 10 to issue a ticket to 100 ft road (the ticket value was Rs.9 previously) he never used to return the change of Rs. 1/- when asked to give the change he used to say later and keeps repeating the same and when the stop comes the bus is most of the time crowded and the conductor goes to the male section and doesnt seem to appear and we have to just forget about the change, This happens everyday and i dnt bother much as it was just a matter of Rs.1. and now the rates are increased to Rs. 10 it was ok with me. But today i gave him Rs. 50 and he issues a ticket for Rs. 10 and wrote behind the ticket Rs. 40/- there were not many passengers today and after some point of time when the bus was nearing to CMH Road he came and sat behind my seat and I askd him to return my change for that he made a strange face and said later as though iam forcefully asking him for money. When my stop was nearing i guess i would have asked about 10 times for my change and he didn't have the heart of returning my money and later on I had to go near him and ask for the money which he returned by making so many faces as though he is favoring me and it was so embarrasing in front of the crowd. I don't understand why this happens not only to me but I am sure most of the passengers has this problem. I don t understand why they have to rob money when the government is paying them. I seriously want some action to be taken against this conductor. If possible i would like to personnaly come and file a complaint against him and request you all to take some action.

The conductor is from Bus No.132 which comes to Shivajinagar in the morning at about 8:45/8:50 am. The conductor is medium height and he wears spectacles.

        Thanks,
        Fehmina
please take care and help BMTC for better services
I boarded the bus KA-01-F-1433 which runs as 314D route from Polytechnic to Richmond Circle
The conducted collected Rs.7/- instead of Rs.5/- and my ticket No, is N 15 878734. Inspite of my telling that the fare if Rs.5/-, he collected Rs.7/- and says that the fare is Rs.7/- and not Rs.5/-. I have been travelling every day by paying Rs.5/- in almost all the buses plying on this route and giving only Rs.5/- for the above destination. I told that Conductor that even Suvarna and Pushpak are colleclting Rs.6/- only, how come an ordinary bus is collecting Rs.7/-. He was sticking to his own fare and was not ready to agree with me. Same difference has been claimed by another passanger also in the same bus at that time.
When conductors do not agree, dont you think people are unnecessarily being fined or charged more than the usual fare. Please do something in this regard. Thanks.

        Dear Sir,
To-day I travelled from Kempegowda Bus Station To HMT Jalahalli @7.15 am
from Route No.273B Bus.No.KA01-FA2358. The Bus Driver While driving
talking with one of her girlfriend continuously, the lady standing behind him
even seats are available. One of the women co-passenger objected his behaviour.
But, he didnot respond to her. Even sometime he use to talk on mobile while

        Hello

I'am Arun the bus no-271A, Depot-8, KA01-F-3104, has no time sense. They are not doing the trip regularly, they are missing the 2 trips daily, The bus goes from Abbigere at 9.00am to Majestic & come back at 12.00pm . I dont know that why only this bus take such time. They are very lasy, Before the contract vehicle
was good, but this govt vehicle is very slow .Please change the driver & conductor !
        Hi Babita,

I agree the same and I am regular commuter from shivajinagar to BTM. Often my ticket cost Rs 9 and conductor daily pockets my one rupee telling there is no change. I actually feel bad when we see the situation of girls and women travelling after 6. Men are not allowed to enter from front door but from Shanthinagar BMTC three or more conductor gets in and make problem when they gets down at wilson garden or laksandra.

I feel BMTC is good for monthly bus pass but you have to get six hundred rupees pass or else he will say you cannot go in this bus and that.

Sometimes we feel better doing some job in native than struggling whole day with this people. But I also know many conductors who behave in polite manners especially bus to Thaverekere.
I am sorry when complainting those conductors it will come to you as common. But when you think as common person you will forget us.
        Hi,

I would like to get the bus fare from Indiranagar to Kormangala Water Tank and from Indiranagar to Madiwala Masjid. Ordinary BMTC Fare.
Bus wont stop even after sign request - Even I have experience the same many times. Daily i have to travel form Banashankari to Satya Sai Hospital. Route buses are 502, 321, MBS 24. I used to start from Sangam circle stop. As more people wont stand in this stop usually all buses pass through with out giving stop there. I have to watch keen and i have to recognize the bus no. from far and show my hand its my fortune if that driver give a shop there ...but many times even though i show my hand driver will pass through as if he has not seen at all. If i leave 5-10 min latefrom sangam circle, I will be more than half and hour late to my office due to heavy traffic in morning.
Please...dont ignore this complaint as usual and allow drivers and conductors do according as there wish. Usually done by 502 bus...(Bus no. KA-50-F-123)
        Dear Sir/Madam

        Hi,

this is Hari krishna workning in company on MG road. Generally icommute daily by BMTC . The reputaton was good once, but it is damaged due to non profressional drivers and conductors of your organisation. they neither respect the commuters nor behave properrly.

They are so arrogant that they shout at people like anything. they wont stop the bus @ the busstop, and even they dont respect women and elders.

Yesterday i.e 14/09/09 from richmond road to majestic @ aound 6:30pm, and the majestic area is a havoc with jam with the bmtc bus for no reason. there was no controllers to normal the situation . the drivers are making their way out to come out from the terminus. No one followed the rules .

I think this truly unprofessional and it shows the behaviour of your staff. pls avoid these kind of havoc near the terminus and deploy as many controllers possible and allow smooth functioning of trafic.

Hope you understand the situation and take the immediate measures to avoid such nonsense.

BMTC - Ka01 Fa335 — Driver and conductor is not ready to drive bus till last stop

Bus number is 335, going till HAL. I hired on this bus Yesterday (13 th oct 2009) at 8.PM from ITPL. The bus is supposed to go till HAL as per the board in front and also the tickets given to people. But when it reached marathahalli Signal, the driver is not ready to drive any more and was shouting like street dogs to the passengers. He asked us to get out of the bus and walk till HAL or catch another bus. The reason he is telling for this is its already late and he is running short of time. But if so he could have told this when we got in to the bus. Please take action against the driver and conductor.
        Dear Sir/Madam,

I boarded into bmtc bus bearing registration number - KA-50 F-020 from marathahalli to Nagwara. Right from the start the bus driver was behaving very rudely. Just after Hennur depot bus stop there is a signal, the driver closed the door and denied to open the door for passengers to get in, though the bus was at busstop waiting for the signal to go green. Then at Nagwara, there was traffic jam as usual near the signal, the driver stopped the bus around 500ft before the signal and asked me to get down. I had to go to Manyata which is 500 ft after Bus stop, so i said i will get down at bus stop and told the conductor that anyway there are thorny bushes near the door where he was asking me to get down. He was saying jump down to the service road from the bushes and go. The driver said he will not stop at Nagwara bus stop and will stop only at the next stop at BEL Circle.

I dont understand why the conductor and driver dont have the patience to stop at the allotted bus stop. They are forcing us to get down before the signal, where they cant move in traffic jam and save time at the bus stop though we are stuck very far from the bus stop. This has happened to me several times and i have seen this happening to other passengers also.

        Please kindly take some action.

        Regards,
        Sunitha
        hello..
        am Shreelatha..
i really dont lik to travel in BMTC cus of the rude behaviour of conductors..
Today[protected], i travelled from mejestic to gowdanapalya in KA-50 F172 around 4 o clock in the evening..i had student pass but the route was different.. So i took ticket worth Rs.11..Since i dint hav 1 Rp. change, i gave 20 Rs to the conductor..i kept on asking him the change, but he said tat he doesnt hav change and asked me to pay 1 Rp... I would hav given him 1 Rp. happily if i had..i ve asked other passengers for change but i couldnt make it..and finally i ended up getting down the bus without having my 9 Rs. back..i wonder how he couldnt get atleast 9 Rs. even though there were 50 passengers in the bus..i felt really bad..its an embarrassment to beg your own money with the conductor..i just want anyone to take action on tat fellow..
        Thanking you..
        Shreelatha..
I agree that bmtc conductors : do not give change or tickets properly.

        1. Additionally, we have a problem that buses turn back from bhadrappa layout when they are supposed to come to tatanagar.
        2. Yesterday ot was almost 9 o clock and the C1 C2 buses from Banashanakari stopped at Hennur Depot instead of coming till Hebbal. The Controller at Banashankari assured me it was a bHebbal bus and the board also said so. Once the bus started the driver put a cloth on the Hebbal part of the destination board and yelled to people that he would only go to Hennur.

Outer ring road is unsafe at that time and quite dark. It was quite scary as the there were very few ladies left in the bus and we had to tun from bus to bus at the traffic signal for someone to take us till Hebbal.

I feel such bus drivers should be penalised. Autos are not an alternate as they demand extra charges. It is not even safe tow alk at such a time.

When good people keep off the roads and shift to personal vehicles it will be a field day for the anti-social elements on the bus.

How can we have sympathy for bus drivers/conductors and auto drivers if they are exploiters who do not care for the public. It makes no difference that I speak very good Kannada.

        BMTC — taking wrong fare

        Dear sir/ madadm,

I was till now greatful for the service provided by the organisation.
But the rude behaviour of some of the personnel of your organisation has brought the dignity down as it happened to me when travelling by the BMTC bus.

Daily I travel to Saraswathinagar(Vijayanagar) from Manjunathanagar stop and the bus fare charges me Rs.7/-. but when I was travelling on 28th Oct 2009 around 4:20 P.M through the same route, the bus conductor gave me the ticket fare charged Rs.10/-. when I questioned him, he behaved very rudely and told that complaint anywhere, nothing is going to happen.
The Bus number 401P and the state register number is KA 01 FA 362.

This is going to happen to some one or the other everyday, but only some questions.
So I kindly request the concerned authority to take the action and so see to that this does not happen.

Also, I request to put the fare charge chart in the bus so that it may help the commutator the bus fares.

Waiting for the result as soon as possible.

        With Thanks
        Suvarna.
        Hi,

As many of the publics has written many comments even my comment will be one of them and there wont be any action taken on the same. I am a regular person who travels from Ramamurthy ring road to Indiranagar depo. On 06.11.09 i came in a market bus (KA - 1037) from ring rd, usually the bus fare taken is Rs. 7 but on that day conductor gave me a ticket of Rs. 10, i just asked him usually the ticket value is Rs. 7 then how come your taking Rs. 10. But he just argued saying no its Rs. 9 for Depo and Rs. 7 for isolation stop. But he had given me the ticket of Rs. 10. Many other days also i have not taken back the change because the conductors will just give the reason will give later. If anyone can take action on them it would be great thing for the publics.
One more thing is that all the publics those who are coming from Ramamurthy nagar are facing the problem in getting the buses in proper time. The buses wont be coming for more than 45 min or 1 hour. After that nearly 2 to 3 buses will be coming together. Atleast kindly take the action on this matter.
I got into the 500NC bus from Kundanahalli colony to go to Silk Bord (KA-01FA 2019). The ticket fare was Rs. 30 and since I didn't have chaage I handed over the ticket collector a 100 rupee note. He gave me the ticket and told me he would give the change later. He didn't mention to keep the ticket or anything. Once I reached the silk board I asked him for change and he asked me to show the ticket. The bus had already started moving since the driver seemed to be in a hurry and I couldn't take the time to find the ticket at that moment since I was scared the driver would drop me somewhere farther off. I found the ticket later. It might be fair that I need to hand over the ticket to get the change back. But the fact which prompted me to write a complaint is that the collector (his name was Prakash) told me he didn't remember me handing over him a 100 rupee note which was clearly a lie; there was hardly 10 people in the bus and once we reached silk board he was looking at me to see if I'm getting down or not. And he just refused to give me back the change in a rude way; the driver also did his own part by making sure that I get down out of the bus as soon as possible. They were just taking advantage of the situation! I had faced a similiar situation where once the bus stopped at the signal for silk board, the ticket collector left the bus and he owed me Rs. 70 back. Everybody for silk board got down at the signal since it would take a long time to clear the signal, but I waited until the guy came back and handed me the money back. The fact that actions are hardly taken against these complaints gives them the chance to keep doing such stuff.

BMTC — NOT PICKING THE PASSENGERS

BMTC Buses plying on Outer ring Road from Hebbal to KR Puram/Silk board route does not pick the passenger from bus stops they give very poor service during peak traffic hours even though the bus remain empty T V channels should cover such inciedents help public. In stead of showing Marriage of Shilpa and her sarrir and its price.
i had same experiance from a BMTC bus conductor and driver today(03/12/2009)... i took ticket from new-horizon college to marthahally which is only 3rs journey, i didnt had change so i give 10rs. not only he didnt giv me 7rs balance but also he act like he is not hearing me, which leads to some scenes dere like he caught my shirt, one passenger tell something to release me, driver closed both the doors atlast he droped 1 stop after my actual stop.

there was hardly 6 or 7 mebers in the bus dat i travelled. the conductor in the bus didnt carry any cange to giv balance to passengeres. he is askin 2 get out from the bus if one have no balance. when i asked him why he didnt carry change he pointed to something which written in kannada later i understood its meaning is "give change".

i forgot to look conductor's name(he is dark, around 5ft6" hight, avg fat guy) & driver who have mis allignment of eyes, but i noted d bus number partialy which is KA-08-2815. a blue colour bus.
I am new to the city and travelled from Domlur to Ginger bus stop- at 7:36- he the fare was 35- i had a 100 rupee note-and i could see that he had change. He said he will give me the change later and scribbled something at the back of the ticket. I asked him many times-and he began to scream and shout in kannada- and i know that he spoke hindi as well.

He did not give me the change- and
We are regularly travelling through Route Number BIG10 - G4 from Dairy Circle to Brigade Road.

In these buses firstly, when we asked for tickets, then conductors will say, "tender me chiller or coins because i have no exchange". Though conductor have full bag with exchange.
If somehow, he will arrange to given exchange or coins he will NOT GIVE TICKETS. When asking for tickets, he will argue.

If, we don't have chiller, then he will take full money from us like 5/-, 10/- or 20/-. Afterward neither he will give tickets nor he will refund the exchange.

When asking for tickets or refund, he will argue and misbehave. This is regular practice in this route.

        BMTC — Tickets/Exchange not giving

        Dear Sir,

We are regularly traveling from Billekhali to Brigade Road in BIG-10 – Route Number G-4 Bus. We are suffering from misbehave of Conductors:

Firstly, when we ask for ticket, Conductors will NOT GIVE TICKETS. Somehow, if we manage to get tickets, then he will not give exchange and conductor will say “I don’t have exchange”, though his bag is full of exchange.

Even conductors misbehave and argue while asking for Tickets / Exchange. They are saying that if total Indian Government is corrupted then why we should behind?
This is regular practice throughout the day in this Route as we are regularly going through this route.

Same problem we suffer in BIG-10 – Route Number G-2.

Please do the needful and give strict instructions and warning to Conductors.
Tickets and Exchanges Are Not Giving

        Dear Sir,

We are regularly going from traveling from Dairy Circle to Brigade Road or Koramangala to Brigade Road in BIG-10 – Route Number G-4 and G-2. Regularly, we are facing problems with these conductors.

Firstly they will not give tickets. If somehow we able to get the tickets, then they will not refund the exchanges. He will say “I don’t have chiller though his bag is full of chiller”.

Sometimes, if we argue for tickets or exchange he will be misbehaving. Please instruct and give warning to these conductors to give tickets to passenger.

        Respected Sir,
The total distance from Hajipur to Dasuya (via Ghogra) as per Milestone is 19 Kmtr.
As the new fare is Rs. 0.57 per Kmtr The fare for 19 Km should be Rs.10.83 By rounding off Rs. 11,
But,The Conductor of all Buses Charge Rs. 12 for a total distance of 19 Kmtr

Hajipur is located in Teh.- Mukerian, Distt.- Hoshiarpur (Punjab)

If it is according to the Rules than it's OK otherwise I think it is a matter of great concern.

This Bloody [censored] drivers and conductors dont know how to behave with Passengers.
They have a feel that the bus is owned by them.
I felt like killing the driver beating him like a mad dog when he arrogantly drove on me in the Majestic station, but he was justifying himself and telling its my mistake to cross from one circle to another.

Just tell me is there any other way to cross from one to another.

They dont know how to ride.

The Govt(BMTC) need to check these incidents regulary because we are paying them money and due to that only they are able to lead a proper life...

THERE SHOULD BE REGULAR FIRING HAPPENIGN FOR DRIVERS AND CONDUCTORS DUE TO THERE IMPROPER SERVICE, THEN ONLY THEY WILL BEHAVE PROPERLY.
I request Govt to take some actions on controlling these NONSENSE.
        Dear Sir,

Today we travelled from Kempegowda Bus Station To Outer Ring road @8:00am
from Route No.333W Bus.No.KA01-F3959(VOLVO).Today we noticed that conductor and driver were misbehaving along with each and every passenger.

1)First of all bDigital board was not displaying route details, if passenger gets in and if they ask ticket in which bus is not going, conductor started shouting like anything saying "Bus is not going in that route ..take ticket till marathalli bridge"if passenger request them to stop the bus, they were not doing that also
its purely torcher for people. Since i am kannadiga I can’t see people giving torcher to other people and non kannadigas. They are in bangalure because they are working here.

        2).Rough Behavior.
All most all the bus drivers & conductors are behaving in so rough way as if we are travelling free of cost. When we behave in a proper way, in return we'll expect the same response. For small things they 'll ask us to get down.

3)If two buses are going in the same route then we can see bus racing also (Free of cost).
If drivers of BMTC are so talented then why he is in BMTC he should be in formula one racing.

Please let us know "Is all the drivers are suspended from their job after killing people on road..
if not please do that one. People wake up and ask question to Karnataka Govt. otherwise one day you will also die because of BMTC's nice driving.

Whoever is responsible for this one please take action as soon as possible before your kid or your wife found dead because of BMTC nice driving.

        Regards

Does anyone know how to trace back the bus/conductor using ticket number?
Most of Conductors are not giving the tickets. When I reached first time in bangalore i don't know about the fare as well as language problem I gave 5rs from Tin factory to NGEF. They didn't give the ticket but the original fare is rs.3.

And also Ticket checker(correct officer not a corruption officer) is very needed for bangalore. I think BMTC don't consider these things because officer are also do like that. If any strict officers are there in bangalore Please take the necessary action
Otherwise the government buses will be loss and then increase the ticket rates

        Dear Sir/Madam

Am finding VOLVO A/C Bus drivers are driving rashly on Electronic City Road.

On 30 Mar 2010 at around 7.30 PM from Electronic City towards Majestic i guess, a BMTC Volvo Bus No KA 01 FA 584 was driving badly where i stopped and spoke to him to not to drive like this where he reacted very badly which is not acceptable.

These drivers may not care for a life but it means a lot to a family. Please advice these drivers and a strict action to be taken. Else stop providing Volvo buses.

BMTC (Bangalore Met Trans Co) — Improper behaviour of Conductor and Driver

Shocked to see a peculiar behavior of Bus staff when i was travelling in BMTC Bus No KA-01 F 8689 on 7th April 2010 between Kadugodi to Kengeri. Bus was slowed down at RV College stop at 9:15 PM where I require to getting down. There is hump prior to bus stop. Sudden hump made me loss my control inside the bus. I approached towards the door to get down. Suddenly I saw bus taken up on heavy speed to overtake another BMTC Bus. I asked for help and requested the conductor to stop the bus. Immediately conductor started scolding me using some un- parliamentary word. I was surprised to see behavior of conductor. I approached driver for help. He acted like deaf and instead of dropping in next stop dropped in second stop.

Request concerned to take necessary steps to avoid such un human behavior of the staff.

I request concerned to inform on next action.

        Regards

        Dear Complaint cell members,

I have a question to you. Are you taking any action against the rude conductors or just taking the complaints for the name sake.

Explain me the procedure you normally follow on this.

If i dont get a reply in a couple le of days, im sure i"ll write a letter or personally go and meet the transport minister and i"ll take you BMTC MD also along with me.

Since im an employee working in Vidhanasoudha, i have no problem in meeting the minister.

        Awiating for your reply.
        Hi,
I have faced very rash and impolite behaviour from the conductor of Bus No KA-01, F2235 from Vignannagar to Majestic. While issuing tickets, he did not ask for change and wrote the balance amount on the back of the ticket. When I saw that the balance was Rs.6, I said I would tender him Rs.4 change and give me back my Rs.10 note. ( I did this as I would forget to collect it hwne I get down). As soon as I approached him for the change he in[censored]ed saying that this is not the time for tendering change and jsut go backside of bus and stand, in foul language. Irked by this I again insisted, he again behaved the same way finally accpeting my change. After a while I noticed that he even scoulded badly a very senior citizen for acquiring his seat saying it was ladies seat. Also he was found seated in ladies seat and leaning towards them while issuing tickets.
I request the concerned authority to take severe action against him for this.

        Thanks and Regards,
        Vinay
        Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Sucheta Ray. I work in Symphony Marketing Solutions( now Genpact). My office is at Bellandur, Outer Ring Road, just beside the ICICI Bank. The stoppage name is Bellandur Petrol Pump. Everyday I take the Volvo 333W from Domlur Bus Stop. Generally I take the bus at 11:30 a.m. or 12 noon. Its been almost 3 months that I am taking this bus. Infact there are two conductors, one lady and one gentleman, who just know me by my face. If I don't take the bus for few days then they ask me "Madam, why didn't we see you? ". Today I take the bus at around 1 p.m. There was some other conductor. Anyway I gave him Rs 30 as this is my fare everyday and told him "Bellandur Petrol Pump" and bought the ticket. Generally I don't check the ticket these days. Today also I just took the ticket and kept it in my purse. But I should have checked that then only, as the destination enetered was City Light. Then when the Bellandur stoppage came the conductor told me that get down as your stoppage has come, Then I said "No, I will get down at Bellandur Petrol Pump" as I thought he may have just got confused. Then he started shouting that I have to get down as while buying the ticket I have told him "Bellandur" or else I have to give him Rs 10 extra. I was just shocked that why would I say Bellandur if my office is at Bellandur Petrol Pump stoppage. Also there was no chance for me to pay less by saying Bemmandur, as the tickets fare were just same Rs 30. So why that conductor was 100% sure that it was not his mistake. As there was a 50-50 chance for both o[censored]s to make a mistake, rather for him the chance was higher. But no, he was very rude and started abusing me in his own loacl language. Sir, my question is, just because he is the conductor of that bus, does it mean that he is the owner of the bus? I think both the conductor and the passenger have the same right on a bus. Both pay tax to get a smooth service from the Authority. Monday only we have got a mail from our office to go to the site http://www.rcntech.in/bmtc/ and send feedback. I am sorry to say if these type of rude primitive conductors are there then people like us will not be encouraged to take Volvo bus. People will then prefer auto or their personal vehicle which will never help Bangalore to reduce traffic and pollution. This conductor was very very rude. I noticed that one boy was supposed to get down at Domlur. He supposedly asked him to tell him when Domlur come as he was new in this route. At Marathalli that boy asked that conductor then when Domlur will come. The conductor behaved very badly and told him that Domlur passed long back and said "Utro utro". So my suggestion is please train these conductors to behave properly like a civilized person and also let them know this fact that every citizen of India has the same right to stay in any city he/she may choose. They can not do anything whatever they want just because I am not from Karnataka. They must change their attitude toward the non Kannadigas.

Here are the details of that bus ticket/timing:

        Bus No. KA 01 FA586
        Ticket No.[protected]Time : 12:34:02, Date: 14/04/10)

I hope there will be strict action against that ill behaved conductor.
        Thanks,
        Ms Sucheta Ray

BMTC — Misbehavior of driver and conductor

I was going in bus 500 from banashankri to HSR layout. Though i stood up before the stop came and the conductor dint see me standing. The conductor was not willing to stop the bus though i am requesting the driver to stop the bus. The driver stopped the bus few meters after the stop and started shouting at me. why cant they stop the bus when there is a stop? these incidents usually happen and should be taken strict actions. BMTC drivers dont stop even if there r passengers wanting to climb the bus and the buses will be empty.

        BMTC — rough behaviour

        .hi ,
i am a frequent user of BMTC buses .this is one of the common problem which is faced day to day by most of the public.

        Rough Behaviour.
All most all the bus conductors are behaving in so rough way as if we are travelling free of cost. When we behave in a proper way, in return we'll expect the same response. For small small things they 'll ask us to get down.

The bus in which i had to face the same problem was KA 01 F3196.
Hello, my name is Prema I am working in Kalyan Nagar, I am staying in Jalahalli West, today I came BEL circle at 8.15 till 9.00. Around 200 people were waiting for the Hebbal route bus and almost 10 buses passed by but not even one bus stopped, this is really annoying. I would kindly request BMTC to take up measure to solve this problem.

        Thank you
        HI,

KA-01 FA-163 from majestic to Basaveshwaranagar., what the thing is in that bus conductor comes to duty by consuming alcohol, he is very dirty... and even he collects the same tickets from passengers and keep on issuing same old tickets to the fresh passengers. request you to take the necessary action. he works on evening session.

BMTC — Regular Disturbance with some boys

        Dear Sir,

This is regarding BMTC bus 291 which travels from Shampura to K R Market, the bus no. KA01 F-3591 every day it starts from 9.15 am at Shampura.

Ladies cannot travel in this bus, because of some regular disturbance from some local guys, nearly a gang of 5 to 6 people travel everyday, and tease ladies, dont even allow ladies to stand or sit in their respected places.

The conductors are also not taking any measures, if we inform them, they are saying its your duty, if you need anything give the complaint to BMTC and they are saying, our duty is only to issue ticket,

I request either the BMTC department or Police should take action.

Hope you will do the needful,

        Rukmani Shanmugam.

        Hi,

It is quite frustrating and disgusting to travel by BMTC buses these days and your journey becomes worst experience of life. Thanks to the customer phobia (specially towards non-kannadigas) bus conductor that are employed by the BMTC. BMTC may boast of providing best services in the country, but inside those buses it employs the most ruddest, arrogant, ill-mannered bus conductors in the world. I suggest the managing director of BMTC Mr. Syed Zameer Pasha to arrange immediate soft skill training to its employees.

I just want to narrate an incident, among many, that happened as recently as on 18/07/2010 which changed my attitude towards BMTC and its employees completely. I purchased a daily pass on my way to Majestic from CV Raman Nagar on bus no. 314B (I did not note down the registration number for this bus thinking it would be trouble free trip). My journey went fine on that bus. But while returning, when I boarded another bus with same bus number of 314B bearing registration no. KA 01F 2450, I had to face the most harrowed experience of my life.
Immediately on boarding, when I showed the daily pass to the conductor my trouble begun. The conductor told me that this is not a valid pass. I was told that the pass is for Monday i.e. 19/07/2010 (18/07/2010 was Sunday). I was puzzled as on the pass I could see the date 18/07/2010 stroked off confirming me that this pass is for that date. On further insisting him, he showed me something written in Kannada on the pass which he claims that it was for Monday. He was demanding for ticket, at which I was reluctant since I already gave money to purchase the pass. He started saying that it was my fault. Why I did not check the pass when the other bus conductor was issuing it? I reasoned him that how could I understand the writing in Kannada as I came from outside of Karnataka and illiterate in Kannada. I could only understand the numbers on the pass which are written in English. Except those all the writing on it are in Kannada script and are Latin and Greek to me. Still he was adamant and arrogantly shouting at me. He told me either to purchase fresh tickets or get out of the bus. In the meantime other kannadigas on the bus started supporting the conductor without judging whose fault it is. They were (including the conductor) quite arrogant, ill mannered and senseless in their talking, and started bullying me to purchase tickets. Few of them were even drunks and about to beat me up.
This has alarmed my senses and thought I could not put through my valid points to these guys. They are hell bent to make me suffer especially since I am non kannadiga. I had to purchase another ticket thinking it to be the last bus on that route on that night (Sunday night generally has low frequency of buses plying on that route).

On reaching, I tried calling BMTC toll free number to lodge complaint, but to no avail. I tried searching BMTC websites, it is defunct. This is what the great BMTC provides for its customer and pleads commuters to use buses to reduce traffic.

From this experience I sincerely suggest Mr. Syed Zameer Pasha, to wear his thinking cap and understand that Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city. Many peoples from different part of the country come to this city. Bangalore is not prospering not only because of the Kannadigas; the people from outside Karnataka are part to it too.
I would like Mr. Pasha to come up with idea of printing instruction on daily passes in English too for the betterment of all the people.

        Regards,
        Banjam

BMTC — Conductor not giving tickets

        Hi Sir,
My name is Irfan, i am working in Software company, I want to lodge a complaint against a bus conductor of BMTC bus route big10 (Bus Details: KA01 FA 2082) running between MG Road & Kadugudi. I boarded this bus at this point and asked for the ticket from Domlur to Muregesh palya , i given Rs.10 to him for 2 tickets. He was taken money and not given ticket and i was keep on asking him he was telling i ll give wait till the stop comes.

So, I would like to lodge a complaint against the conductor. I seriously believe in BMTC which will be the sole responsible for taking against the bus conductor.

I would request the concerned officer to give the maximum punishment to the conductor., So that it make sure the same wouldn't happen to any Bangaloreans again.

Also I would like to know the status of this issue via telephone call.

        Regards,

Yes. I agree to the above point. And I would also like to mention a point saying not all the conductors are like this. Some of them are doing thier work sincerely.
But Some people are behaving really rude with the passengers.I am Savitha, working as a software engineer in the company located in outer ring road.
Today morning I took BMTC bus root number 500D i.e.Hebbal to Silkboard.
I took the bus near tin factory.. While getting in the bus itself, the conductor was scolding unnecessarily. Later when I gave two 10 rupee notes for a 12rs ticket as I didn't have a 2 rupees change with me. He started shouting at me and asked me to get down there itself which was half the way where in next stop was quite far. I couldn't go back also. I had no other way, and had to walk from that road to next stop eventhough it was quite late for my office.

I really request BMTC head people to give conductors and drivers a special training for good manners with the public. we understand that, they would be irritated with lot of people travel in the buses daily. At the same time they must understand that, even many working people travels in those buses with lot of tensions.

Please do take action towards them.

        Regards,
        Savitha
        dear bmtc officer

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) — Rude Behaviour of BMTC Conductor

        Sir,

I would like to lodge a complaint against the bus conductor of BMTC bus route number 330 (Bus Details: KA 01 FA 357) . This incident occured on 12th August 2010 around 9.30a.m. I boarded this bus from Murugeshpalaya bus stop( the one near total mall). When I gave the conductor my ticket fare which is Rs 10 (Murugeshpalaya to Trinity Circle) he gave me a ticket of 8 Rs. He did not give back any change either. When I asked him why he gave me a ticket for 8 Rs, he started shouting at me like anything. I was totally embarassed since he literally abused me amidst all the people in the bus. Also I am not a Kannadiga, so I couldnt understand for what he was shouting. Can't non-kannadigas travel in bmtc buses? Had i been a kannadiga, would he abuse me like that? Sir, there is a minimum courtesy expected when you are talking to a woman. He was too rude.

So, I would like to lodge a complaint against the conductor for his misbehavior. I would request the concerned officer to give the maximum punishment to the conductor, so as to make sure that the same wouldn't happen to any other girl.

Also I would like to know the status of this issue via mail.

        Thanks
        Aleena

          Hi,

This complaint is regarding the poor bus facility in Ramamurthynagar, Bangalore 16.
People are struggling to get buses in Ramamurthynagar, all the drivers of that route are avoiding to come to Ramamurthynagar so many buses like 300H, 300E, 300C are not coming on time or it may not come at all, many people in the bus stop will be waiting for the bus for an hours together.
the BMTC bus services in Ramamurthynagar is really worst, Nobody is bothered to take action on this. we are really fed up of the public transportation provided by BMTC

Request you to look into the complaint and please give us the solution

Hi this is Piyali. today on 09/02/2012 , I was travelling in the bus route ni:331A. bus no: KA 01 FA-2158 around 10.15 am. which travels from Kadguri to Shivajinagar according to the given rout. but today when I get into the bus and gave the 500/- for getting the ticket, the conductor started shouting on me and asked me to get down from the bus as I was unable to give the exact change for bus fare. He was using the rash words as well as the driver was driving so rashly that it may lead to road accidents. It’s not only me who faced this situation today. Everyday many passengers face the abusive behavior by driver or conductor. So please kindly take action on it.

              Hello Sir,
I am daily commuter from Vijayanagar to Rajarajeshwari Nagar, I find that the number of buses to Rajarajeshwarinagar is very less.
All the buses are routed from Yelahanka to Rajarajeshwarinagar(401R) and which does not maintain proper timings and all the time heavily crowded.
Hence request BMTC officers to start new buses from Majestic to Rajarajeshwari nagar via Vijayanagar.
Also I have noticed that there are plenty of buses to Hampinagar from Majestic which go empty most of the times. Please extend these buses till BHEL so that people find good connectivity to Kengeri and Banashankari.

              Thanks,
              Vidya

                Hi ,

I would like to state that there are no direct buses ( Volvo & Non -Volvo ) from Hebbal to Indiranagar . There are atleast 10 Thousand veichles coming from Domlur ,Koramangala and Indiranagar junction towards the Manyata IT Park , Hebbal and other areas and the BMTC has failed to have a single direct bus for the people of Bangalore forcing the people to bring their veichles . The BMTC authority needs to start introducing buses directly from Hebbal to Indiranagar /Domlur / Koramangala passing on the side of the metro station at Bypanahalli . Thanks..

                  Hi,
I am an employee in one of the IT company situated in ITPL. I have been put up in mathikere. Hence I need to change four buses daily in order to reach itpl. i.e. from MATHIKERE to BEL Circle to Hebbal to KRPURAM to ITPL. I find lot of buses from hebbal to silkboard i.e. 500d but i don't find many volvo buses to itpl, even though there are two buses 500dg, 500df but there are few in number. Also 500db goes through itpl but it goes through marathalli which takes longer duration. I request BMTC to put some more volvo buses for the route 500dg & 500df. It will be very usefull to lot of people travelling daily from hebbal to itpl. I hope BMTC sees this message.

I completely agree as this will ease the travel time and the increased frequency in the evening will make it a lot easier for a lot of people to get home sooner.
Yes i request the bmtc management to start a volvo bus running from yeswantapur - mathikere - Bel Circle - hebbal - ITPL. It will help a lot of people
Even I agree wity this. I see sometimes Silkboard buses in a row and Buses to ITPL via Marathahallai plying empty. Instead they can increase this 500DF and 500DG
Yes, Buss facility between rote from Hebbal-Tinfactory-Garudachar Palya-Graphite-KTPO-Vaidehi-ITPL has to be increased. It will help most of the Women employees to reach home and office in time. As many women employee travel on this route.

Let BMTC Run normal BMTC buses to this route apart from Volvo which is not affordable for common Man.

I Request the BMTC to do the needful.
I would also request BMTC to increase the frequency of Volvo bus services on 500DF and 500DG routes. Currently, they ply every half an hour with last bus from ITPL towards Hebbal at 6:30 PM. Please consider increasing frequency of 500DF and 500DG routes to 10 minutes, and having regular busses till 9:30 PM.

I do understand that the return journey for these routes (from ITPL to Hebbala during morning, and from Hebbala to ITPL during evening) may be coming with empty busses, but the return bus route can always be re-routed via Marathalli in one direction. There are lots of commuters on this route, and I am pretty confident that once we BMTC runs regular buses on this route they would be making good money on this route.
                  Hello friend,

Can anyone provide me timing of 500df and 500dg for both the side..i m staying near to Garudachar bus stop and i need to go for work near to ktpo.

your input will help me alot..thanks
yes i also recommend BMTC to increase the frequency of the buses in the route Hebbal-Tinfactory-Garudachar Palya-Graphite-KTPO-Vaidehi-ITPL, please consider this because many are eagerly waiting for this.
I also agree with this. I am also daily commuter from Hebbal to Itpl. There are no volvo buses after 6pm in the evening to KR puram via Hoodi circle. so please release some volvo buses to KR puram after 6 pm in the evening. Atleast for every 20 or 30 min .
Request BMTC to add some bused from ITPL to Hebbal via Hoodi after 6PM, atlease for every one hour say 6PM, 7PM, 8 PM and 9PM etc
There is a new service that can solve some of these issues. Taxi on a monthly subscription basis . Check out www.mysarathi.com

                    hello,
I am staying at HSR Layout in Bangalore and travel on weekdays for work to Electronic City Phase II.

I have clearly seen that some of the ticket conductors in the BMTC buses (ordinary or A/C) punch ticket for higher value if they give normal tickets as opposed to electronic ticket.

For example, from Agara bus stop to Konnappan Agrahara as per electronic ticketing system is Rs 35 in A/C bus, but if I get a bus which is having normal ticket the conductor takes Rs 40. Few times for shorter distances as well, either the conductor takes the money but does not tender ticket or tenders a ticket of higher value.

Getting change from the conductor has always been a challenge even if the bus is running at full load.

Request action to curb the extra incorrect charges.

                    regards
                    Lakshmi

                      Sir/Mam,
I have been travelling on a regular basis on BMTC Volvo bus services. Last week on 11 Jan 2012 i boarded a VOLVO bus from BELANDUR CENTRAL to HSR Appartment. The normal fare for this route is 20 rupees max. When i asked the conductor for Ticket, he Charged me 30 rupees. I told him that the fare is 20 ruppees, so please generate the ticket first so that i can see the fare before i Pay you. He first argued with me saying that ' Would you take the ticket or u cna get down', that was really rude. Once he generated the ticket it was from ' BELANDUR ' to ' BTM UDUPI' which is the Next to Next stop, and hence the ticket generated was of 30 Rs. When i told him that BTM Ududpi is not my stop, please give me a ticket till HSR Appartment, he argued saying its all the same from HSR to BTM UDUPI, this was completely wrong. When I objected him , he asked me to get down. I then took the ticket paying him 30 Rs, so that i have a proof when i file the complaint

                      Hi,

I have complaint for the same bus - KA 01 FA 431. Yesterday, i took this bus. The driver of the bus is so arrogant. I am new to Bangalore, so dont have much idea about the routes. I asked him thrice if this bus goes to HSR Layout. He was busy in scoding some other girl for standing in front. He was talking to her in Kannada which i cant understand. and suddenly i dont know he was talking rudely to me in Kannada again. In the way, i got to know that he can speak Hindi well. he misbehaved with everyone.
Kindly look into the matter and take appropriate actions reg the matter.

                      Thanks,

                        Hello Sir ,
i would like to bring to your notice the conduct of volvo bus conductors with passengers.Nowadays they talk very rude to passengers and harass them verbally for very petty issues ( change of money , stopping at the right stop , even issuing ticket for required bust stop ).Bus conductors suddenly will raise their voice and start shouting in between conversation .

As a law abiding citizen and also tax payer of India , i request that kindly provide stress management and anger management training to bus conductors . Also asking them not to be rude will help the cause . Ask them to not to fight for not existing issues .

                        Regards ,
Daily passenger of Volvo bus .

                          The BMTC service is pathetic.
Not the service actually , but the people who are involved in the service like the drivers and conductors.

With the introduction of Metro , I have become a regular commuter till MG Road and take the G8,G9,G11 bus from Metro Station to Cunnigham Road while going , and take the same buses from Indian Express to MG Road Metro Station.

While going , its not a problem , but while coming these buses are a menace . They never stop at the Indian Express stop . I have to run after them ,bang on the bus body , but still they dont stop. I have complained to the BMTC inspector who sits at the MG Road railway station , but they happily say "hindi gotilla".

I do not know if there is any point in submitting the complain here , but still as a BMTC commuter , I think this needs to be addressed.

G9 bus route is dubious. The internet sites provide the onward journey to Yelahanka, but they forget that the bus stops on the return journey are not correspondingly on the other side! It makes it difficult to gauge the exact bus stops when viewing online, making the life of the commuters difficult. Of course there is the added 'you are an outsider not deserving a response' angle to it, which makes it worse.

I am a regular passenger of BMTC Volvo Route No. 500K. Today I had a traumatic experience when I became a victim of extrteme rude behaviour and abusive language of 500K route bus driver of bus no. KA-01 FA-1847. The incident is as follows.
I borded the bus at Chandra Layout at 8:25 am today morning (19-Dec-2011). The bus did not stop at the regular bus stop. Instead it stopped at the junction (Gurusagara hotel junction)blocking other traffic. It was very risky to board the bus at that junction. Somehow I managed to get into the bus. I simply told driver that he should not stop at the junction. It is very risky for the passengers.
Immediately he started talking rudely to me using abusive languages. I was shocked and wanted to know why he was behaving that way and using such bad languages. He aws adamant and continued the same. Then I told him "Either you stop or I will complaint against you" He replied " Take down the bus no (KA-01 FA-1847) and do whaetever you want...complain to Chief Minister"
It did not stop there. He took the bus to Kamakhya Depot and stopped there saying that he would not go. He gathered 4-5 people there. They came into the bus and started interrogating me. By the time, all the passengers were getting late for their work and he was simply not listening to them. He was very adamant that he would not go. Then one supervisor gentleman came and asked the driver to start the bus.
I am a regular passenger of this route. I have never been abused and behaved such rudely like this earlier. I know all drivers are not like this. But for this type of few drivers "BMTC Volvo Service" which is a pioneer in all India is loosing its reputation. I hope you will take some action against this driver training him properly how to behave with passengers
                            Thanks and Regards,
                            SujanC

Route: 500 DA (ITPL to Hebbal)

This is not the first instance where a BMTC bus driver has insulted or instigated a passenger for an unnecessary argument.

We were a group of 6 members (3 girls & 3 boys) and we boarded the bus from in front of SAP Lab, Whitefield. We were headed for Innovative Multiplex, Marathahalli. Since it was office hours (approx 6:30 PM) the volvo was over crowded.

When 3 o[censored]s (girls) boarded the bus from the front gate, the bus door was not even closing properly. There were 3 or 4 middle aged men standing near the driver's seat (2 of them were told to be BMTC officers). With advancement of each bus stop the crowd started increasing and there was no way that the ladies can stand without leaning on the men...we were just pressing against each other. Knowing the fact that volvos have air brakes and the handle bars are quite high it was really very inconvenient to stand in that situation. Though none of the ladies budged a word, the inconvenience was prominent on their faces.

I was feeling weird and hence told one of the gentlemen, "Bhaiya aap log kyun piche wala gate pe nahi chale jate?" (Brother why don't you all go to the back gate)...those were the exact words without .001 % of rudeness in it. To this the driver replied that we can get off the bus if we had any problem...adding to it, at the next stop he asked us to get down.

Once we reached our destination, we took the name of the depot and wanted to know the name of the driver without using any profanity. To this the driver started reacting...started abusing...using vulgar words (asking the boys in the group to take the girls to their home if they are so much bothered). This resulted in a 5 to 7 minutes altercation.

                              My questions are:
                              1. Did we say anything wrong?
                              2. Did we use any vulgar words that the driver started reacting?
                              3. We are the passengers. We purchase the tickets. Its a public conveyance. Who are they to decide if we can board the bus or not?
                              4. Drivers generally do not allow male passengers to board from the front gate when the bus is too crowded. Then why should BMTC employees be an exception to this rule?

The government is trying to motivate citizens to commute in public transport. Do you really think we would feel comfortable if this is the kind of behaviour meted out to us? We strongly feel there needs to be an end to this.

Looking forward to some action on this

                              Regards

                                Dear Sir/ Madam

My name is Chitti Babu from Vijayanagar, Bangalore. Last Friday i.e., on 09-Dec-2011 around 10PM I had boarded a 335E volvo bus from Kundanahalli Gate to Majestic. Along with me I was carrying a white plastic bag in which there was a new pair of safety shoes. The bus reached Majestic around 11 PM & by slip of mind I forgot to collect the plastic bag which I had kept below my seat. I only realised after reaching my home around 12PM. I do admit my mistake for my absence of mind. Immediately I called the BMTC customer care number [protected] from my mobile number [protected] & informed the customer care executive by name Santosh & requested him to pass on the message to the nearby Depot No. 7. To my shock there was a very rough & rude reply from the customer care executive saying that if he informs the bus depot about this, they would spit him on his face. I was really taken aback by the kind of words used & response received from a customer care executive who was supposed to talk to the customers politely & gently, which are the basic qualities of any customer care executive whatsoever. He even threw a challenge to me saying that I can take all his details & do whatever I want & adding to the insult, he even disconnected my call. I again redialled the number & the same customer care executive lifted the call & upon hearing my name, he again disconnected the call. I was totally confused by the behaviour of a customer care executive that too of a Government run body. I’m very unhappy with this incident. If they couldn’t resolve my issue, atleast, they could have spoken to me in a proper & decent manner. I believe Bangaloreans are the most soft spoken people when compared to any city in India, not like Mr. Santosh – Customer Care Executive(BMTC). Hope BMTC can step up to this & improve their service to their commuters in a better way.

                                Regards

The major problem of bmtc people behaving rude are I feel they are uneducated and don't have the humanity. There is no use of complaining because all this customer care is for formalities where they don't know the meaning of it. sir please if this has reached you inform the people involved in bmtc to behave descent and not like third class people.

                                  Sir,

Bus from banashankari to Domlur bridge bus no. 201, timing 7.50 am at BTM layout water tank. There was argument with bus conductor for change
i gave him 100 Rs. fare was Rs.11 in return he gave me Rs. 80/- asking for 1 re change to give another Rs.10/-. But unfortunately i didnt had a 1 re change. He argued for 1 re and refused to give 9 Rs. change or he wanted to tie up with other person so that i can take from them which was not possible.

Infact this is not a complaint, consider it as a suggestion to keep enough change with conductors to aviod such arguments.Because sometimes it is difficult to carry exact change and travel. And also conductors to behave and co-operate properly with the genuine customers.

Either you change the timing which is convinient for employees say after 8 AM or add more buses in this route

                                      Hi,

                                      We the resident of J.P.Nagar 7th Phase, R.B.I.Layout find it extremely difficult to get a bus at peak hours (9:00 A.M to 10:30 A.M) from J.P.Nagar 7th Phase/JambuSavariDinne to Jayanagar 4th Block/Market/Mejestic and also from 7:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M from Jayanagar/Market/Mejestic to J.P.Nagar 7th Phase/JambuSavariDinne.

As there is very less buses at this route especially at the peak hours, buses will be over crowded and people wont get place to stand.

It will be easier if there are frequent buses from the above said Destination at peak hours for every 15 mins, this will benefit many commuters.
Auto drivers charge exorbitantly and it becomes difficult for those who commute daily. It will be more convenient if BMTC provides Volvo bus too.

So, I kindly request BMTC authorities to consider the issue and act on the same.

                                      Thanks & Regards,
                                      Anjali

                                        respected sir
on nov 18 2011 i was travelling from marthalli to kadgudi in the BMTC bus numbered KA1 FA1152.
i boarded the bus at marthalli bridge at 7:30 pm and took a ticket to kadgudi .i gave him 12 RS and as the fare was 13 i gave him 5 rs .i waited for the change and i thought he would give me .but he passed away from me and i called him politely to give me 4 rs.but he started abusing me in kannada as i can undestand little kannada , i replied him that i could help him if he could speak to me in telugu hindi or english .i heard him talking in hindi. he could have spoke to me in hindi atleast, but he didnt. he started abusing in english and kannada that this is kannada and you have to speak in kannada only. well did i mis behave with him or did i abuse him .no nothing,

i know india is a land of different cultures. its a shame on the bmtc drivers speaking to the commuters this way.is this the culture , is this the manner he behaves with the commuters .

i very sincerely urge you take a severe action on such conductors in BMTC.

                                        BMTC — Discrimination

                                        Hi Sir,

This is Adithya. Today i.e., on[protected] I was boarding in G3 bus where the checking people got into the bus and asked me for my college ID but I had left it in other bag so my pass was retained by the checking people.(this was my mistake I agree). But in the same bus a lady with a KSRTC pass given for the staff's children had a route from Tumkur to Bangalore and was eligible to travel only in KSRTC but then also that lady's pass was not sized. So I cross questioned the TC asking that why did you leave her without fine or seizing it instead I got a answer saying that it was a staff's children pass so she could travel anywhere. Now what about me i have paid Rs 4420 and my pass is held but an invalid pass is exempted. Why is this discrimination and some one help me in filing a complaint. my number is [protected] .
