The BMTC conductors and the SQUAD seems to be playing a game to collect money. Today when my wife was coming from Domlur stop to the Marathalli stop, the conductor did not issue a ticket. On the next stop the squad got into the bus and charged fine worth of 100 Rs. when my wife protested telling that the conductor haven't issued the ticket and that the just got into the bus the Squad member did not issue a ticket, then also he did not listen. He told that either she will give the 100 Rs fine or he will drag her to the nearest police station. I have the receipt but I cannot type the details as every thing is written in Kannada and unfortunately I do not know Kannada. I feel its a way of extracting money from innocent people by the BMTC squad. BMTC please take some action. If any BMTC members want a copy of the receipt i can scan it and mail it to them. Hope some action will be taken, or else this forum is useless. These squad members do not know how to behave to the customer. Please recruit some good people. There are a lot of people without job in he place. Please use the resources.

BMTC — Conductors not providing the proper ticket

Today morning I got into a new type of BMTC bus(BIG 10(Air Suspension vehicle)-Pass not allowed). My ticket charge was Rs.15 but the conductor gave me only 10 rupee ticket. Afte I asked for two times, she gave me the reply saying "There is shortage of 5 rupee ticket and so she is not giving. What we are supposed to do when the conductor is not giving the proper ticket?
daily i get a bus to elec city, it actually cost around 8 Rs but always this people(bmtc) give 8 rs ticket only and also they are not answering properly for that.

BMTC — Not issuing Tickets / not stopping / rude behaviour

my frnds travell daily in Bus No: Ka 2808 / Janti Vahana 501, from Marathalli / Belandur to HSR Layout Sector1 (Near CPWD Qts / Food Days). All other buses stop here, only this bus never stops, if asked driver " travel form other bus, i am stopping this". conductor dosnt issue tickets all are girls thery are scared to argue, as both shout, what has happened to this part of Bangalore, in malleshwaram / Jayanagar south areas in never happens, if it is people question, i am taking it personally since this is not only about my frnds about Karnataka, kindly take immediate action, if this manner repeats again, to the girls people here (still we have kanndiagas from all associations) will join and stop, yaaru ivaranu nilslilla endhre naav maad thivee, namma naadu / thangiyere prashnay, awaiting your reply, all kannidagas and association,note this number , if no changes in the behaviour will put a coment on this again, all can join and stop it, HSR police station too take action .

Bus No:KA01-FA237 , DEPOT : JIGNANI

While I am travelling in the bus in the morning 6.35 A. M. I gave 10Rs note to issue me a ticket from Basavanapura Stop to Jayadeva Junction. The conductor did not issue me a ticket when I demanded the ticket to issue the conductor started shouting at me and making me very upset. For that reason I even called BMTC & Jignani depot manager to complaint against the conductor but they asked me to send in writing. Please advice the conductor in the bus to behave politely with the passengars.
I agree these bus conductors and drivers al behave like bloody kings of the bus

Firstly these think they own the bus and are least concerened about the concern of the passengers

They need to be told that we r payign high tickets and travelling not to listen to their bloddy arrogance,

Wish i could bash up one of these rude conductors and teach them a lesson of their life
Dear Sir,

Yesterday, at about 6pm, I catched bmtc bus 500A Bus no.2448 at Silkboard junction towards J.P.Nagar(signal).I was waiting for busconductor for purchasing the ticket as the conductot was coming frm frontside with full rush inbetween the ticketinspection team came inside and forced me to pay penalty of Rs.500/- & threatned me to take policestation due to not pursued the ticket.As I am law gradute and knows all the rules & regulation.Lastly, requested me to pay Rs.50/- for penalty & agreeded, paid.

Therefor, I request you to enquire, wheter the passengers fault or conductor fault?

BMTC — Conductor not giving Ticket

I was Travelling from Nagawara to Hennur...On 04th May 2011,at 1:50pm,I boarded a BMTC bus
[KA-01F 1174 ,Hebbal to Nadavati, Bus No-301 ] & i told the conductor Hennur Depot & gave him 4 Rupees but the culprit conductor returned 1 Re & did not give me the Ticket...On the same day while Returning back I boarded another bus from Hennur to Nagawara [KA-01F 2514-Hebbal to Silk Board ],this conductor too did the same thing..If a Checker comes i will be caught & conductor will blame me & i ll have to pay fine..this is what your Cheat conductors do to majority of the Commuters...

Please take some Action against this Corruption & cheating done on passengers & Governments BMTC...

Yes. This is happening always. Even if we give the correct bus fare and ask for ticket, the conductor will look at u as if you were a joker.
BMTC has to take some action in this regard. Once the conductor took 80 Rs for 4 tickets from domlur to corporation ( volvo ) and didn't give the ticket. When we asked for the ticket he used to scold in Kannada.
Also when we ask to stop the bus in a busstop the driver will not do it. He will always stop after the bus stop only. Now people also not standing at the bus stop. U can count the busstops where u can find the people. They will always stand atleast 1 or 2 mt from the bus stop.

BMTC Bangalore — irrelevant bus fare and rude behaviour of conductor

licence number ka 01 F 4331. Rude behaviour by bus conductor, charged 7 rupees for one stop against 4 rupees.
Travel Date and Time : May 29th 2:10 P.M I boarded 201 with Number KAO1 F 3989 Pushpak (Driver cum Conductor)from Jai Deva East End to Silk board and the driver cum conductor, did not issue the ticket even though i paid him proper bus fare.

On demand he said go give complaint let's see who will take action.Such a rude behavior from these people.

Also, hope that the Transport Minister Mr. Ashok R looks into this.

Request government to look into such kind of issues where the Driver cum conductor can be careless and not performing their duty well.

    This is regarding the bus route journey from Kalyan Nagar to Banneraghatta. Route Bus nos MBS8 and 412. There is no proper timing for the bus services in this route. The greater excuse for the BMTC is the Byappanahalli Railway Gate. Having that as the reason, no proper buses available for the commuters and it is daily problem.

    Kindly request you to look into the problem and take care of the public specially during peak hours.

    If you wait for the bus. always you can find the bus going on the otherside 2 or 3 together. This side people have to wait for either of the 3 whenever it comes. It is very very bad part of BMTC especially in this route.

    Please take necessary action to solve this issue atleast during peak hours (School/College/office timings).

    I took bus from ISOLATION- Bangalore to Tippasandra -Bangalore on DEC 13 morning 10 A.M.
    Bus number KA 01 FA 615. I paid Rs 3/- and asked ticket.
    He didn't give. I asked twice again but didn't issue.
    i'm a student of a college.. At the time of evening their is so much of crowd in majestic and no proper arrangements will be set up.. and the buses will not spot in the bus stands, And that creates a horrible situation and the passengers will quarrel with some silly silly reasons.. So i request you to kindly take a strict action on this complaint.

      Hi,

      I would like to report a Hit and Run case against a Bangalore BMTC bus driver. On Friday, 27 Nov 2009, I was driving on Sheshadri Road at around 9 am when a BMTC bus hit my car from behind and broke my right-side lights and damaged my rear bumper. The bus route number was 211-H and bus registration number was KA-01-FA-327.

      The driver refused to admit his fault and also refused to provide his name or show his driving license. He forced me to go back into my car and said go complain if you want, I will not provide my name / driving license details.

      When I called up the BMTC office to register a complaint, they were not even interested in talking to me.

      Due to this accident, I have incurred car repair expenses of approx. Rs. 4,000. How do I get compensated for this loss? Is this the kind of behaviour that the BMTC provides to the citizens of Bangalore?

        Travelling back to Vidyaranyapura from Majestic is a pain between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Volvo buses don't ply from majestic. Getting back from office even after having a Volvo pass becomes a waste. Request BMTC to increase the frequency from Majestic to Vidayaranyapura during this time.

        There are no busses from kadugudi to reach at office time ( 9:00 AM - 9:30AM) in to Shivaji nagar area. I dont know why the frequency of 335E is more by neglecting all other routes.Introducing atleast 1 or 2 busses during the time 7:30 to 8:00 morning time will be really a great help for those people who are working in Shivaji Nagar.

        Taking monthly pass for 1500 and down in MG road and paying another 50 bugs for auto is not feasible. Please consider this and do the needfull.

          i had same experiance from a BMTC bus conductor and driver today(03/12/2009)... i took ticket from new-horizon college to marthahally which is only 3rs journey, i didnt had change so i give 10rs. not only he didnt giv me 7rs balance but also he act like he is not hearing me, which leads to some scenes dere like he caught my shirt, one passenger tell something to release me, driver closed both the doors atlast he droped 1 stop after my actual stop.

          there was hardly 6 or 7 mebers in the bus dat i travelled. the conductor in the bus didnt carry any cange to giv balance to passengeres. he is askin 2 get out from the bus if one have no balance. when i asked him why he didnt carry change he pointed to something which written in kannada later i understood its meaning is "give change".

          i forgot to look conductor's name(he is dark, around 5ft6" hight, avg fat guy) & driver who have mis allignment of eyes, but i noted d bus number partialy which is KA-08-2815. a blue colour bus.

          I had taken a bus 171 from Adugodi to Majestic at around 9:20 a.m. today. I have given Rs. 20 and he gave me a ticket of Rs. 13 and at the back he has written Rs. 7. I asked after corporation bus stop to give me change but he told he will give later on. After following again and again he gave me Rs. 5 and after reaching majestic he refused to give balance Rs. 2 and told me get down from bus. I have to get down since I am getting late to reach office.

          This type of services we used to receive from them.

          Kindly request you to do needful in this regard and teach them how to behave with passengers.

            Hi to Every one,

            My Name is Imran Khan and I work as an Engineer for an organization located in Domoluru and I stay in Jalahalli cross, My Cab pick up is at BEL circle I need to travel by BMTC bus daily from Jalahalli cross to catch my Cab in BEL circle I usually travel by 1.15Pm by BMTC bus but the problem is they stop in Jalahalli cross for more than 15 to 20 minutes till the next bus arrives at that time there will be an massive traffic jam.

            Incidence happened on 03-DEC-2009:-
            Today the 2 busses where standing at jalahalli cross for more than 20 minutes but they never moved I was getting late to my work thought of taking an Auto at the same time then an BMTC bus arrived at that stop numbered KA-01F-3369 Route number 270 (Shivaji Nagar –Jalahalli cross-BEL circle) I Asked conductor will it take time to move as I was not aware that he is moving now, he said that if you have urgency you can move in car or auto, I asked him why are you talking so rude in fact I addressed as sir but he was using singular to me still I got into bus because I was getting late while entering inside he was abusing me and my patients rate got lost and I said him that I am going to lodge a complaint against you and I will escalate the same to higher authority but the conductor started playing pranks in front of passengers using abusive words saying no one can pluck his hairs.

            Is this the way an government servant behaves with the customers, where is the law and order gone don’t they have fear of higher authority they even don’t know to speak properly with the customers we come from pretty decent background so we keep quite without abusing but they cross the limits I request you to please take the necessary actions on him.

            BMTC — volvo conductor speaking rudly

            Sir,

            I am really feeling by seeing volvo bus conductor does not know who to behave with passenger i request senior office to teach or conduct a classes for uneducated dirty conductor i feel like spiting on there face .Today around 9.40 am (29/01/09) bus no 335 i board bus at corpation i was about take my ticket he started speaking to me in ekvachana i felt like booting him, that conductor is bandaly .
            I also agree as the BMTC bus driver and conductor rudely behave.
            One time while I sit in the front seat in the BMTC Volvo bus, conductor demanded me to leave the seat for him. I did not leave the seat and he threatened as I may be alive in future to feel safe to travel in Bus.
            I very much promote everybody to take bus though I see lot of misbehaviour from bus driver and conductor.

              1. I live at Arakere MICO Lyt,near bannerghatta road.the bus stop close to my house is the mico lyt bus stop.I study at a college in jayanagar.From this bus stop there are just 2 buses-364 A & 369 A which go 2 jayanagar ,and the timings are not that convinient.but there are 4-5 buses going 2 dairy circle.I kindly request you 2 add more buses which go to jayanagar at convinient timings.

              2. I also request you 2 add the new blue luxury buses and volvo buses under the Jn-urm project from Arakere to jayanagar 4 our bus stop.

              3.When we return home from college at around 4-5 in the evening, we get in the buses at the 2nd blk bus stop.Nowadays some uses like 364 C-suvarna bus,364 A-blue&white bus,369 A -blue & white bus do not stop at the bus stop .This has happened 2-3 times.hence I request u to to see to it that the buses stop at the bus stop.

              4.There is no shelter and there are no seats at the JP Nagar 3rd phase bus stop.We face a tuff time during rainy season.hence please see to it that a proper shelter is built there.

              Dear Sir, We are getting updating pop-up message from this site from last few months back, so delay in reply. Sure action will be taken on your complaint. BMTC
              Just to inform BMTC that i am boarding the bus at bommasandara bus stand. The Volvo bus (356N) starting from narayana hrudalaya is not stopping at bommasandra bus stand bcs the buses are going on top of the flyover and bus stand is at down. Can some one look in to this since we are regular passagngare of this bus and this thing started from past one month only when fly over started.

                Hello Sir,

                Today I boarded 500k volvo bus near ECOSPACE bangalre at 5:30 pm.(Bus N0: KA01 - 4403)

                The conductor was very rude and misbehaved with me.

                He stabbed on my leg and try to push me with his hands , since I was standing near space near to Driver.He wanted to stand there.


                This is really very disguisting.

                Please take appropriate action on him.
                Hope I will not see him in any of the volvo bus in bangalore.

                Please stop harrasement against ladies travelling by bus.

                Even they are having change but i[censored] will give 100 rs and 5 rs change for ticket rs 15, they will never give u change and said to go out of bus at anywhere. at that time feeling so embarsement. Also they are doing very rash driving.
                Please take action against them.

                  BMTC red volvo bus : KA-01-FA-430


                  1. The bus was driven very rashly. The driver was treating the bus like a auto and trying to
                  dart in and out of lanes while overtaking all the samller vehicles on the road. I myself,
                  at one point while driving my car got very close to this bus and had to halt. The bus driver
                  kept on drving rashly as i followed the bus till Domlur, changing lanes rashly
                  every few meters.

                  2. The bus stopped in the middle of the road at Kodihalli bus-stop, even though there were
                  no other buses at that bus stop. This caused all other vehicles to halt and there was no
                  space to go forward.

                  3. Similarly Driver stopped suddenly at domlur flyover, which is not a desginated stop.

                    On 25th November 2009 BMTC bus route no. 294C (I could not note the vehicle no.) plying between Shivajinagar and Agara took right trun immediately after the railway overbridge near Clarence school at 11.15 am. The regular route is to go straight and touch Davis road along Richards park. I have noticed this happeninng in earlier occasions also inconveniencing passengers waiting in the bus stop abutting clarance school.

                    There is no complaint number with any of the BMTC crew!

                      Hi,

                      i was travelling in bus no. KA01/F3725(bus no 94D) on 21st November 2009 saturday between 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm which was plying from shivajinagar to yeshwanthpur.driver didnt stop the bus at Yeshwanthpur tollgate stop.when i asked the driver and conductor,the driver in particular started hurling abuses at me calling me "GANDU".I felt very insulted and hurt.Please take strict action against both the driver and conductor of the bus as their behavior towards customers is intolerable.

                      Also the driver drove the bus very rashly.in fact,he caused lot of inconvenience to other fellow two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles on the road.

                      I was travelling in bus no. KA01/FA1964 on 25st Aug-2010 at 9.00 AM. This bus conductor & driver Behavior is not good. they are talking about college students too much. language also not good they are talking hoge, bare like that. this is for your information & needful action.

                        I am a daily commuter in BMTC buses and I would like to bring this issue regarding a Bus Stop on Murphy Road near Ulsoor lake. There is a Bus stop just after Ulsoor lake signal(when coming from Taj Residency - after Gurudwara) but no buses stops over there. If you want to come to Murphy Road, Ulsoor in BMTC bus you have to either get down in Lido Mall bus stop and walk around 1.5 kms or get down near Adarsha theatre and walk back 1.2 kms which is very troublesome. I dont know the logical reason in having a well-built bus stop and not stopping any buses over there. There are so many BMTC buses which ply in that road every minute. I am sure there are many people who work in Millenia Towers and travel in BMTC buses everyday. They either go till Adarsha theatre and walk back 1.2 kms or if lucky get down in the Ulsoor lake signal with the courtesy of the BMTC bus drivers. It would be great and really helpful if buses stop on Murphy Road near Ulsoor lake.

                          On 16 Nov 2009, at around 6.20 I travelled from Madiwala to Shantinagar in a bus which waas told as shantinagar was the last stop. The bus driver was negligent all the while in driving and was thretening and abusing people who questioned his rash driving. The bus number is KA01-F-4748. It was so scary to travel in the bUS. I Request BMTC to take severe action on the driver.

                          BMTC bus drivers are very rash drivers not care about about people going in two wheelers .2 days back I was coming from jakkur, it was bypass road to amruthalli where all vehicles cannot go beyond 40kms speed but 2 bmtc drivers racing against each other at about 80 kms speed occupying the small road measuring only 40ft wide.Iwas coming in apposite direction in 2 wheeler how could i escape I rode my vehicle to the ditch by the side of the road.Luckily i survived I am a doctor if I would have lost life because of this stupid drivers who is responsible.I request govt.to suspend such drivers and advice counselling to understand value of others lives.Plz BMTC drivers are becoming like auto drivers they are not humans .My email is [protected]@indiatimes.com.BMTC is good drivers are very bad cut throat people.

                            As i drive from BTM Lyt to Marthalli in my two wheeler near Kasabbanahalli i was standing in a road dew to traffic & behind their was BMTC Bus as traffic started moving that bus driver hitted my bike made to fall & i was hurt & bike got damaged driver just moved off from the spot without stopping the bus on the way i just saw their was no police & i got police but he was in right hand side & i was in left hand side & i missed it, even i dont know where to go give a complaint too.

                              I want to complaint against a BMTC bus conductor. Last saturday (24/Oct/09) me and my friend boarded a BMTC bus (201 M, KA05 C 878) from East End Circle around 8.25 AM. The conductor who was there in that bus took 11Rs/- from us and gave 10Rs/- ticket. When we asked about this, he asked us whether we know Kannada or not. As he came to know that we do not know Kannada, he started blabbering something against us in Kannada and did not bother to give us the explanation for why he charged extra.

                              We also noticed that he was behaving rude to almost all the people in the bus especially if they do not know the language. With lot of regret I have to say that some people like him are dividing our country based on language and culture. A bus conductor need to be polite with the passenger especially they are unaware of the language and place. Instead of that he is using the situation for his benefit. Kindly take action against him so that in future no other conductors think about doing pranks on passengers.
                              No action against the conductor. Action should be against you. You @#$%.You better learn Kannada. Being in Karnataka, you need to learn to speak in Kannada and then later complain. Learn Kannada or quit Karnataka.

                                Hi ,

                                I want to complain against the BMTC Bus conductor of the route 201 and bearing No. KA--01 F--3239.The conductor misbehaved with by pushing me back . This is not the way he should behave with a lady.Moreover, he was speaking very rudely in Kannada as I refused to go back for his behaviour.

                                I travel in bus everyday but I feel that there is no security for ladies in bus. The bus conductor take opportunity to touch the the ladies by asking the money for the ticket or for saying to go back. Even though there is reserved seats for ladies but there is very less ladies to demand it and no conductor ask the seating gents to get up from the ladies seats.

                                If there is a threat for ladies from the bus conductor itself. What step is BMTC taking for the security of ladies travelling in bus. I have a very sincere request to the Government to take some strict action for such misbehaviour.

                                i am pramod karkera. i am business man and my business is located in laggere its near peenya IInd stage. today i mean 19 th may 2010 i boarded bus (KA 01 F 2011) named kempegowda bus station to laggere. when i ask for ticket to laggere, conductor roughly told me it will not go laggere. i asked him why did you put that board first remove it. then he is scold me with local worst language.

                                first of all bmtc have to train up all such conductors and drivers how to behave with passangers otherwise passangers will train them.

                                The Bus conductor of BMTC bus was very rude while talking to a lady. He did not have manners how to behave with a lady. I could not tender him a change of 2 rs, so he misbehaved telling get down from this bus, though I gave him the full amount and he did not had the change. Even if people do not have change with them, there is no right to the conductors for misbehaving with anyone. He could have just asked me to wait until he could collect the rest of the change amount from other people. It is very ridiculous to ask anyone to get down if he/she doesn't have change.

                                The Bus number is KA 01FA 886.

                                  i've been a regular traveller of btmc almost for the past 4 years, i've lately see that there are almost no bus from crop to kumarswamy layout... the bus's are either over crowded or they do not stop... pls increase the frequency of 15g,15e,210R,276 during peak hours...... it would be great i[censored] can introduce a BIG10 route connecting corpration and dayananda sagar college cross... hope u would look into the matter and introduce some better service... specially in the morning where the busses come at the same time or no bus at all...

                                  BMTC — bus not stopping at manyata tech park

                                  there is a declared bus stop infront of manyata embassy park gate 2.
                                  but buses are not stopping there. if asked driver and conductor are getting angry at employees and stopping only at next bus stop.

                                  Complaint/Suggestion - sir, I am a regular traveler in Jalahalli ( HMT watch factory ) - Manyata Tech Park route.I have a complaint that there are not enough BMTC buses running from Jalahalli to Manyata/K R puram or atleast from BEL circle to Manyata /KR puram side. And the worst part is that all we commoners have to travel in poorly maintained travelers. The travelers fill people above its capacity( for a 12 seater at least 20-25 people will be filled ) and people travel with their construction tools and all in that congested vehicle.How can we even think that we are travelling safe in these conditions?There are no proper handles to hold, even the seats are shaking in most of the travelers.Please do something to reduce the risk in travelling like this.

                                    Dear Sir/Madam

                                    This is to inform you that I Mr Panduranga shettigar has go into a BMTC BUS KA-01 F-3994 at MurugeshPalya at 9.30AM on MONADY 19 OCT 2009. When I have asked the ticket till Richmond circle, Driver/cum conductor has given me a used ticket(which was already tore by driver for previous traveller). When I have asked him to issue fresh ticket and told him that he is issuing me already used ticket, he has foul mouthed me and told me that he is trying to use cancelled ticket....
                                    I have observed this type of fooling of pucblic by bmtc bus several time.
                                    Being educted person, I am able to understand what these crooks are trying to do. But most of the uneducted public are unware of these method used by bmtc bus driver/conductors.

                                    I kindly request concern authorities to do investigation into this case and take the appropriate action.

                                    I am ready to help the enquiry if BMTC wish so.

                                      The bus number KA 01 F 3522 and the route is 500D time of boarding 1.15 at kasthurinagar,a women traveling in this bus was treated in the rough way and teezed her with abused words, no one is their to question them on this rude behavior, so kindly punish these people to not repeat suck kind of behavior again and again.

                                      I Normally take a BMTC bus route no 8 or 412 heading towards Madiwala, on one Friday that was on 16-apr-2010 I had logged a bus no – 8 that was on 16-apr-2010 I was waiting from 10:35 but there were no buses, at last there was a bus this ie: no-8 which came around 11:15 to the stop near Ayyappa temple (near Banasawadi) he was heading the bus very slowly around not more than 10 to 20 Kmph/- even though it was a koramangala Outer ring road there was not much traffic on that day, the road was empty as I was already late to office I Said why are you driving like a bicycle he replied back to me saying its cycle only. After few stops conductor came near by I asked him sir why is the bus going very slow its already time-up for the office? he said this can only go in so much speed, an after going few meter away from me he was scolding me very slowly as I shouldn`t hear it. I kindly request you to look after these bus Drivers & conductors ( age bar for both drivers and conductor would be around 40-50Years. We should provide a Good Service to the commuters not a poor service like this, because 1 or 2 people like this every one is getting a bad impact.


                                      Dear Departments.

                                      There are not much frequent buses on this route as mentioned above route no: 8 & 412 kindly request you to provide frequent buses on this route, it would be great help full atleast every 15-20minutes if there are buses.

                                        Dear Sir,

                                        This is to bring to the notice of BMTC management, and the Transport minister Mr. Ashok that there ia an anomaly in the student bus pass issuing and it has to be rectified. I want to bring to your notice my own experience. My daughter Shashi Priya K, after passing her PUC, had written CET conducted by KEA for admission to Engineering and other professional courses. She got a rank above 35000. We are not sure of getting a seat in Engineering course. Admissions for Degree courses are taking place, and they close even before the selection process for Engineering courses are conducted. So, to avoid wasting one academic year, I admitted my daughter in BCA course in Kristu Jayanti College at K. Narayanapura. We paid Rs.1390/- and got a pass from BMTC to travel from Ramamurthynagar to K. Narayanapura. But luckily, my daughter got Engineering seat in East point college for women at Bidarahalli, in the casual round. She got admitted in the Eastpoint college. We wanted to avail the student bus pass. We approached the BMTC. They said the pass issued earlier (from Ramamurthynagar to K. Narayanapura) is not valid, and they can't even give another pass on "Route Change" basis, because it can't be done from a Degree college to Engineering College. Because,the amount varies. For a degree college course it is Rs.1390/-, where as for Engineering College course it is Rs. 1750/-. My daughter was forced to get another pass by paying Rs.1750/-. The earlier pass for one full year has gone waste. The fault of my daughter is selecting an Engineering course!

                                        I want to argue on two counts.
                                        1. Why this hike in pass amount for Engineering students? After passing PUC, the bright student gets an engineering course, and a dull student gets a degree course. Why do you want to penalise a bright student? The parent pays more fee for sending his son/daughter for Engineering course. The Government also wants to extract more money! It is illogical. After all, they are travelling in the same BMTC buses. In my view, there must be only two slabs: School students, and post-school students.

                                        2. The government is helping and encouraging the students by issuing subsidised passes. It is a social welfare measure. If a student changes the course, or college, the BMTC should give another pass without collecting any amount. Because, the student has already paid the amount for one full year. It is just a matter of change in route. There is no misuse of pass by the student. Every student aspires for a better course or college. The BMTC should encourage such students.

                                        Hope the Government and BMTC will consider these arguments and make necessary changes atleast from next year.

                                        i was traveling in a bus from KR puram to Shivajinagar on 16th OCT 2009 at 6 pm at KR puram bus stop.The conductor had drunk and was mis behaving towards ladies.I was alighting at Srinivaspura bus stop and was standing near the conductors seat.the drunken conductor hold my hand and was mis behaving i kindly request you to find that conductor and take action.I dont know the name of the conductor but the bus number is KA-O4 FA 654.

                                        1. II PUC colleges have started the classed on 3.5.2010. Student Pass will be issued from 1st July 2010

                                        Most of the II PUC Colleges have reopened and classes have started on 3rd May 2010. But the passes will be issued only from July 1st 2010. The answer from the pass counters of K R Pura, Domlur, Shivajinagar and Majestic are we not received 2010 circular, so we are helpless.

                                        2. AS YOU LIKE PASSES NOT AVAILABLE ROUND THE YEAR AS SAID IN THE WEBSITE.

                                        AS PUBLISHED IN THE WEBSITE 'AS YOU LIKE' PASSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE 3 BUSSTANDS, SHIVAJINAGAR, SHANTHINAGAR AND MAJESTIC. SHIVAJINAGAR ENQUIRY ANSWER WAS WHAT IT IS? WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS? PLEASE ENQUIRE AT MAJESTIC.

                                        my son who is studying in 2nd puc took student bus pass paying Rs.1270/. since he has tution in varies places that pass cannot be used at all the time. I went jayanagar bus stand to enquire whether it can be changed "As you like pass".with what ever extra amount i.e Rs.1000/ . But they said not possible. If the person is ready to pay the differential amout what is the problem in doing that. Why these corporation says they are for services.If they not oblige small things like this what can ordinary people can do.To avoid extra burden he unnecesarily walks all the way .This year is crucial for him. If he waste time like this there is no use of tution. Please make some change in your pass renewal system which helps common people .I think Mr. Ashok will look in to the matter and will soon helps us in getting the new pass.

                                        my son has got admitted to jain college jayanager 9th block...he needs to get the bus by 6.45 in the morning...and the direct bus is 60A from vijaynagar...we got him his student bus pass...which we mentioned in the route as nagarabhavi to jayanagar 9th block...the concern is...this 60A...will leave by 6.45...sometimes earlier too...so..when we reach vijaynagar bus stop...if we do not find 60A (which already left and we were late to reach the terminal)...then the other option is to catch 60L...which goes to east end...which is also very close distance to his college...

                                        if he takes 60A, he will reach college almost 45 mins early...and the next bus (60A) is at 7.15...this but..he might be late to college...

                                        but, we understand from the department that only one bus ie. 60A which goes to jayanagar 9th block...can be added in his student pass...in case he misses that 6.45 bus...he has to wait for another 30 mins of so...to get another 60A which he might reach the college late...

                                        concern is...we are told that the bus pass cannot be used on other busses which also on similar route...or like say jayanagar east end..which is closer...why is this...

                                        earlier days, i think all the bus numbers which go on a particular route and also closer ones...were mentioned in the issued pass...so the student can take any of those routes and reach destination...but now its not allowed...
