Bangalore Water Supply & Sewerage Board [BWSSB] Complaints & Reviews

On June 2016, I have received BWSSB bill for Rs.50596. So I paid Rs.50000 through cheque. But BWSSB deposited the cheque before the date on cheque. So cheque was bounced due to post dated. Immediately I received the message from bank regarding cheque bounced & I informed the same to Assistant Executive Engineer. Several times I informed through call and even I sent message to A.E.E. But issue is not resolved. After 3 months once again Rs.50000 added to my water bill with interest of Rs.2483.
Actually mistake done by A.E.E.
1. Early cheque deposit to bank.
2. After informing several times issue is not resolved ( i have calls & message proof )
Delay from there end, so they have to pay or write-off the interest amount Rs.2483.

As the laying of new water line works being carried out at most place in Bangalore. This work is being carried out in Vijayanagar too. As the main contractor is L & T. But the pathetic part is the way these works are being carried out. The works are being carried out by many sub-contractors. Such as excavation of road for laying main pipe, laying of pipe, connection of pvc pipe to the main pipe and leaving into individual house, Earth filling back, Earthwork for cross pipe, laying of pipe and Earth filling back. So in total eight sub contractors are carrying out the job. There is no co-ordination between the contractor, there is no Project Manager/Engineer from L & T to manage the project. Each contractor does his work at his whims and fancy. This has caused lot of inconvenience to the residents and Roads are worst than any village roads. For these type of shabby works Govt is paying huge amount and when the residents ask to refill the earth and make good the damaged drain and foot path none of the sub contractors care. Appreciate Change my city can take up with L & T and other concerned Authorities. Many of the residents has injured themsleves due to the uneven road surface.

Since many days in front our apartment the main drainage line is blocked and used water from our apartment is not flowing in the main drainage pipe line creating lot of inconvenience to all the residents.

We request you to look into this issue and resolve at the earliest.

I have a BWSSB water connect for out house.
I recently started construction work and I've been using tanker water for construction.
BWSSB water connection line is plugged and no water is used.

the person who collects water reading charged me Commercial rates "saying it is non domestic" in the bill.
I am not using the cauvery water for my house construction, and the meter reading says "NO DRAW",
Despite this, he is still he is charging commercial rates for the bill in-spite of not using any water for last three months.

Hi, Team. I live in the below-mentioned address. frequently we have this blockage problem in front of my home. Your team had cleared last month the same problem we had. This is happening frequently in front of our home because a new hotel and Paying guest have started on our road. So this hotel and paying guest owner had changed to bigger sewerage pipe till our home. from our home again it is the smaller pipe. Due to this, we will have frequent blockage problem. Hence I request you to give a permanent solution by changing to bigger sewerage pipe from our home till the end of our road.

Written complaint made at Machallibetta Water Pumping Station on Banaswadi Main Road in their complaint book about 10 days ago regarding leaking pipe NO action taken
Today the pipe has burst at about 4 pm. At 9 PM, water is still overflowing and the whole road is full of water.
Complaint No179983 dated 22 Nov booked at about 4 30 pm regarding burst pipe outside our building opposite Machallibetta Water tank NO action has been taken despite going personally to inform them
Water is now leaking into our basement causing inconvenience to us residents

There is water leakage on on 1st main road, BHCS layout, Uttarahalli, Bangalore-560061 in front of 'Ashraya apartment' for the past 4-5 days. This after the road asphalting was done recently last week. Earlier to the asphalting there was no leakage for more than 10 years, since we are residing in the apartment mentioned above.Request urgent rectification, to prevent water pollution & wastage of water on priority.contact no:[protected](sudarshan. At 4th main, gayatri layout, kr puram, bangalore 36, there is a construction going on and people are using kaveri water for construction purpose without water meter, during demolistion period ty have disconnected meter and using water without meter, i request concerned officers to take care of this issue, even media is been informed too regarding this.

Whomsoever. there is no proper water supply in j. p nagar 5th phase. 16th cross. every alternate water comes and timings is from 12 am to 7pm.
Its the time. when. people sleep. the person who leaves doesnt have common sense. please ask him to supply during day time rather den night. its causing too much of problem. i have a small baby and its too difficult to manage without water all the time. plz take necessary steps.

Drainage line next to Sai baba, Chamundeshwari temple on Garuvhi Bhavi palya service road is blocked and overflowing on the road.

this is front of the temples and it is very ugly to see the drain overflowing on the road .
Vehicles go on that and its making people life difficult.
i't spill on others on the road.

Kindly look into it and solve this issues permanently at the earliest.

Dear sir,

Drainage line next to more mega store marathahalli is blocked and overflowing on the road.

It is very ugly to see the drain oerflowing on the road. More than 3 this is the state and no body seems to be bothered about.

On behalf of all the citizens of this locality it is my humble request to look into it and solve it at the earliest.

It is breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The above complaint is present since last 3 years, drinking water line was also contaminated which was eventually changed after begging the department, the concerned officers had promised not to divert the water but the sewage water is flowing again in the rain water drains since the last 3 weeks & nobody is taking responsibility. the sewage water is released to the drain by the restaurants on indiranagar 100 feet road. i have suffered malaria twice in last 3 years due to stagnation. the concerned officers are aee raghavendra - mob[protected] & ae dhanvanth[protected].

Hi, I am Hanumegowda, resident of kaggadasapura, 25th cross. There is sanitary pipe line damaged/ broken at the entrance of 25th cross. Also there is no cap/closer for manhole in kaggadasapura main road near 29th cross and it's filled with sand bags. Due to this there is frequent sanitary blockage. Please clear the blockage, provide proper closet to manhole and also rectify the damaged sanitary pipe line at 25th cross entrance at the earliest.

Complaint ref no161067 on 17 oct, 2016, attended and cleared on 21 oct, again leakage noticed on 3o oct, complaint on the same ref no. Attended on 5 november, 2016.. On 06 november, noticed the leakage, we understand that there is a pipe broken on davis road near the signal on the southern side your people who attended the blockage clearance on the same point.
We would like to mention during the period mr kottekar ex engineer the complaints attended within 24 hours, now it is not the case as mr suhas does not care the customer. Hence request you to attend and have the pipe replaced for peaceful stay.

We rarely see the supply of cauvery water, on the top of that there is no CMC water Supply since 2nd Nov 2016.

Complained to water supply incharge (Manju), but no use, collects money from the residents telling that motor is under repair, but no action taken place till date.

Regarding Rain Water Harvesting, RWH, though we have installed RWH they levied 11820 fine, we have given letter and AE & AEE EAST-2 have signed to adjust the bills from next month, but still it is not adjusted, this month again 11870 bill they have given.. Please check and resolve this. Billing Date 3/11/2016

There is regular burning of dried leaves inside the BWSSB water tan near Vijayanagar bus stand-MC Layout). This causes smoke pollution in the houses, shops, Syndicate bank and City Central library nearby causing breathing problems.The fire also destroys the beautiful trees in the compound.Burning leaves and garbage is prohibited as per pollution control laws.This practice should be stopped.

This is bring to your notice we are stayed in annapoorneshwarinagar in-front of my hospital i got sanitary drain problem i called bwssb and they came and cleared the problem after that they asking money for cleaning, you know how much they are asking rs.2000/- and demanding more and he shouted in our hospital. Why govt not paid any salary for them and bwssb every month they charge sanitary charge like in water bill! We have to pay here and monthly there also this is way of bwssb service. And superior office is came before cleaning don't clean this not out mistake he given intraction to that people. Very worst service. Finally i paid some amount, he took and he said next time how it will solve this drain problem i will see. Every body behave like rowdys. Before cleaning drain problem first speak with this people because of amount. Other wise they will behave like rowdys.

RR No.E-408839, 4th Cross, Vinayaka L/o, PWD Mn Rd, B. Narayanapura, BG-16. We are not getting water for the last one week. Consequent on damaging of water pipe by M/s Air Tel while laying their cable. It is understood that the water is restored back, but we are not getting water in the entire 4th Cross & it is almost 15 days now. It is also understood that couple of houses in the street are getting water, but very thin flow. Kindly do the needful on priority. Festival week. Rajan - Mob.No.[protected]

I have been living in Horamavu (Banjara Layout) for nearly 10 years. Over the years I have been requesting a water connection to my house but I have been informed that there is no water line. They tell me India is developing and Bangalore is one of its major cities, I don't see any changes. Can anyone from BWSSB assist me in getting a water connection. I'm a senior citizen and therefore cannot keep visiting government officials. I'm not rich to pay my way for a water connection. I have been using tanker water for the last ten years and I'm not sure if the water is of good quality and I'm very concerned about the water I have been consuming for the last 10 years.
