I bought hand bag from bata in Aug for 1500 and the handles started breaking and i got it replaced and new hand bag quality was the same and handles got breaking. just with in ten days.

i dont want to go for any more exchange as confirmed by customer care. i need my money to be refunded. how many time should i visit the store and every time they give bad product.

More over they say that for exchange u need to come before 5:00- pm and should not come during week ends also. this is the only one way of harassing the customer. How can we every time leave our work and go for exchange. they say that store manage will be available only till five but fact is he will be at store only till 9:00 pm.

When we can go for purchase any time shop is open then why cant they do the replacement any time customer comes. its not the fault of customer bata is giving bad products over all.

I Request all the People not to buy any more product form bata.

Please help me.


i have also purchase sandals, shoes, slippers every thing quality was bad

    I purchased school shoes(white) for my brother before 40 days. sole has torn out. i lost the purchase bill. so please respond as soon as possible and take proper measures for replacement.

      Respected Sir,
      This is to bring into your kind notice that i am a regular customer of bata and a week ago i bought a new pair of DR SCHOLL (MASSAGIO) slippers .Almost after every six months i buy a new DR SCHOLL chappal.i have always been satisfied with them.But this time the very first day when i wore that footwear for few hours ,my dorsal i.e. the upper part of the foot which was in contact of the footwear got swollen and there was lot of itching in that area.i can not wear them for more than 5 minutes.I spoke to the shopkeeper from where i got them ,he only told me to send a complaining letter to the company.I am a resident of chandigarh.I bought the chappal from BATA showroom which is located in sector 19 chandigarh.
      Hope that you will look into the matter as soon as possible and replace the chappal soon.

        I had recently purchased an All season shoe from Bata Shop in R-Mall, Mulund West, Mumbai with the Article Number [protected] No. 8 . After a week of purchase there was some stitching defect for which I had given it back to the shop. He asked me to collect it after one week because it will be sent to the company for repair. I received the shoes after a week, but on using the shoes further the complete shoe got worned out and beyond repair. Inspite of being all season shoe and till date there has been hardly any rain my shoes were destroyed .On approaching the dealer they said they remember me having bought the shoes & giving it for repair but this time nothing can be done from their end even though they acknowledged it to be a Quality fault . In spite of writing to the company customer care on 21st August I have not receivede got any reply till date.

        Bata India — POOR Quality

        I'm Complaining about the shoes, that i bought jst 45 days back.
        its rainy shoes.got cracked, when im trying to inquire for warranty period, there is no response from goreagaon, gram panchayat road, stall.

        and in your bill / invoice you are providing a column related to warranty.

        it showing a 75 days Warranty Period

        and that concern person at goreaon branch, responding that only BATA can replace (means Your head office) the shoes, whatever you bought. and WE ARE Not Responsible for any defect.

        really its amazing that you are providing such a bad facility ie. branch locator... who is irresponsible to their work.

        if you can ...so look into this matter asap.
        Companies with reputations such as BATA should make sure that all their outlets be responsible for all their products and their warranty as they are priced in such a way.         same problem was faced by me sandal quality has been inferior these days no wonder why ppl don't visit these bata showrooms
        The following details are given below for the damaged shoes bought at Tamilnadu, Tirupur,




        1. Article No. 425-6638 size no 4 Rs. 649/- BATA Naughty Boy.


        2. Stitching thread is cutted up on the side, Inside lace cloths are damaged, leather is not flexible, it is rough one.stick pad is very uneasy, It is not free air easily.


        3. Bought at Bata India Ltd.53, Kamaraj Road, Tirupur .Tamil Nadu, dt. 11.5.11 thru SBI Card No. 7905 Rs.878/- manager name, staff name, telephone no. is no idea. this is your product, your shop, etc.,


        4. Lady Shoe no.1 Rs.229 Article no is erased. bought at same date and shop these also very faded. Quality is not good.

        i bought a pair of shoes from vaishali ngar show room.
        the shoe lace ( thread) worn out with in one month
        I bought a pair of shoes worth rs.999/- in july 2014. Within 3 minths, the sole of both shoes got broken. I filed a complaint and after long discussion, i got the readressal. They asked me to visit the store and the store manager will decide the course of action. He offered me to exchange. I bought a new pair of shoes then worth rs 1199/- as i always belwived in bata's quality. Again after 3 monthes, i noticed the stiching of both the shoes has opened and also the shoes have torn. I was shocked to see such a poor state of shoes within such a short time o[censored]se again. I lodged a complaint stating all the facts. The compnay again asked me ro visit the store. The store manager refused to attend my complaint as the shoes were taken in exchange. This has now taught me a lesson that say tata to bata. The company is big only its name not in quality and customer satisfaction.
        I had purchased a pair of shoes from Ambiance mall in Gurgaon. The stitch from the front has torn along with the leather thereby rendering the shoes unusable. I had taken the pair to the shop who have also stated that the pair cannot be repaired.

        I would like to request that the pair be replaced as it seems to be a defect. I have been wearing Bata shoes but this seems to be the first time that I am facing this kind of problem. I am attaching some pics of the pair for u guys to see.

        I am Rashid from Bangalore, one of your customer since long time, I have purchased a pair of BATA Formal Shoes (Product Code 8516652) Online through Amazon India for Rs. 999/- and got delivered the shoes on 18th April 2015. As per the specified details the warranty was 60 days but within 40 days the base of the shoe came separated from front and right side leather attached with the sole being teared and Non-repairable.

        Please let me know whether I can replace the shoes at any of showroom available nearby me or not as the customer care of Amazon told me since the warranty was given by Manufacturer than you have to contact them and they will replace your shoes positively.

          I Purchased one the Ladies Bag from the Bata india ltd 16,regal Building Connaught place on 19th March’12.

          Within three month the bag belts start tearing. It’s very surprising that company like Bata supply this kindly of quality to the consumer the bag cost 1500 and I purchase form the fresh stock.

          Last week I week to the shop the shop owner advised me the send the mail to you and the bag is at his custody .kindly look into this as i used this bag for a month period and i think if this kind of incident happen we have to think twice while buying any stuff from bata because as on date i am buying all my daughter school stuff room bata and including by regular slippers as well.

          ladies bag — manufacturing

          Dear Sir

          I under sign Vikas Bhardwaj from Faridabad having Order No[protected] with A/C No 74099 .I wanted to put a complaint against TV Home Shopping Network Ltd for the purchase of Ladies Bag by paying Rs 1499/- after receiving the parcel nearby 20 days of delay from their 7-10 days normal delivery period. In another word I had booked the item on 24/08/2010 by phone to the company call centre but i had received the parcel on 23/09/10,but after 2 days my spouse bring me to this notice that the bag having some stiching problem with insider pocket.Then I immediately call to their call centre Ph No [protected] ie on 26/09/10 & lodge the complaint & also asked them to Refund my Paid Money.As they had directed me to give it to their contracted courier company TNT Express.I contacted them & given the parcel to them on 1/10/10 via Parcel No No DO[protected] WW.
          Thereafter I called them so many times to their Call Center No [protected],[protected] & requested them for the refund of money,but they always says your case is waiting for the approval.Again last week i contacted them for the refund they had given me the Complain No 60888711 & assurance me to get the payment latest by 24/10/10 because they had forwarded my case for urgent basis.

          But Sir toady is 27/10/10 Again I have contacted in morning & again they said my case waiting for approval !!!!!!!!!! what a pity????????????

          I think this company is not reliable & they are making fool to the customer by selling the products on National T.V & they are not bother about sales & service concept.
          I am frustrated because what happend if I would have involved with good amount value of money for buying any electronic items or some costly items.
          Please save consumers right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s
          Please do the needful at the earlist & necessary.

            Hi

            I had purchased Bata sandal from Bata store in Vikhroli on 31st Aug 2012. Store address: Shop no 1, Narendra Bhavan, Old court building, Station Road, Vikhroli (W), Mumbai - 83. The sandal got faulty on 11 Sep 2012. The shopkeeper replaced the sandal, and I paid Rs 50 extra for extended warranty on the new pair. However, the replaced item also turned faulty within a week (on 17 Sep 2012). I am returning the sandal to the shopkeeper and want full refund. How can the bata sandals get damaged in 10 days? I am not sure of the quality of the sandal and dont want to get them replaced or get them repaired.

            I immediately complained to their customer care (complaint no: [protected]) but not sure if any action would be taken.

              I placed an order of BATA Shoes (FRANKLIN, order number[protected] online on 15th Aug 2012 @21:49:21hr. I was surprised to receive the two different shoes are of different sizes - right one is "9" and the left one is "8". It is really hard to believe that a world class company is doing business in such a poor manner specially when the two different sizes are marked and highlighted on the bottom of each shoes. I had made the complain to their customer care email id (customer.[protected]@bata.co.in) on 21st August and also called their customer care number[protected] several time, but no solution was provided. They even did not response to my email. Please help.

                bad shoes

                I am a very old customer of Bata since my school days & a patron of the brand, but recently I was very disappointed & disheartened when I bought pair of all season comfit footwear from bata showroom at Thakkar mall in borivali.                 I have placed an order on 8-9-2012 to Bata India Online Store for a handbag which was on 50% sell on that day and I have paid the payment for the same through SBI debit card; but company have cancelled the order on[protected],when I call him on their tall free number[protected] on[protected];that time they replay me that the item which I was choose is not in good condition;but the same day and even now a time the same item is available on their website but it is in the list of without discount.my item no. was 9372174 and my Order Number : 10088706 Sub Order Number 40089333 Order Date 08/09/2012 Article Selling Price (INR) 649.50. So I was cheated by Bata India Online Store.I here with past the copy of cancellation which I recived from company. So do need ful to me and oblige.

                  Unfortunately, at last month I saw that left feet shoe is
                  crack from top of the sole .But that time I was out of this city .I
                  came on last Saturday, when today I come to your Garia showroom, one
                  of your employee say that “this shoes are out of guarantee".
                  Is it possible that one person can use 1000 rupees shoes for three
                  months? You are largest shoes seller in INDIA, people can’t expect
                  that type of support .PLZ give me the proper and best solution for me.

                    I purchased an handbag on around 14th may but it but the stitching was damaged within 20 days only so i went and replaced it within the warranty period and got a new one but the new one also resulted in damaged upper material and damaged stitching within 1 month only and when i went to exchange within the warranty period of this new bag they said system is not supporting .It was really disappointing and if this is the quality provided in bata handbags then why would one buy.I would really appreciate it if i could get some help from customer care so that I could continue to be a regular customer of bata. I have attached the snapshots also of the damaged portions.

                      I brought a black formal shoe in 25.12.2011 from D-Block, Cannaught Place, New Delhi authorised code no. 100925 rate 1499/- only ..........my shoe sole has totely broken..........and i go to the show room the receptionist told me that you have complained online on bata website and i was told that i will get a shoe in exchange with that.so kindly look into this matter and please do something with this...thank you.

                        I had purchased a 1 pair of Hush Puppies ( Bata India Ltd) shoes vide bill no.03545/1216 dtd.03.06.2012 from Shop No.LGF-65 , Metro Polis Mall M G Road, Gurgaon for Rs.3,499/-.

                        Copy of the bill is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

                        Last week to my utter surprise I noticed that the shoe was having manufacturing defect as the sole on one shoe was coming out and it was impossible for me to continue wearing it.

                        On bringing to the notice of the Shop officials Mr.Saurabh (#[protected]) on 21.07.2012 , he immediately told that he would send it to the stores and intimate their feedback within a day or two. After 4 days when I enquired about the matter he stated that they would not replace the same but would repair it within 2 -3 days.

                        As the terms of conditions it clearly stipulates that any manufacturing defect arises the same would be replaced with a new one and not undergo repairs.

                        As the period of validity is well within 60 days , I request your good offices to raise the issue with the Agency and help me to procure a new one immediately.

                        Kindly settle my issues as early as possible.

                          Dear sir , i have purchased the above model of bata shoes in jan 2012 from your store situated at nirala bazar in hotel kohinoor plaza building aurangabad (maharashtra state), withineen 6 months the sole was teared from upper leather, it is expected that
                          such a costly shoes should not become useless due to above mentioned problem for atleast one year, your dealer was said that
                          we can not take any warranty or guarrantee of shoes after two months from the date of purchse, i am coutinuously used your
                          product since[protected], from my college period at that time i regularly wear your company shoes named as hardi-walker
                          which was your one of the best product, reason for remembering all these things is that i fill bad to say that your company product

                          I have purchased bata shooes from ur outlet, gariahat, kolkata in the month of july 04, 2009. within a short span it is badly torn by upper portion. As I am sing the same in office, no rough use is there. how the shooes of company like bata can torn withine this short period. I want to know is there is any alternative to replace, or any reinbirsement of cost, so that I can gain faith on the company.

                            Again I'm forced to send a mail like this....

                            Second worst experience from Bata.

                            First mail I sent, but no reply yet from bata, but this time I'm not going to sit quiet after sending this mail. I'll wait for 2 days for a response from Bata, and then will move to consumer court and file a complaint against Bata with proofs.

                            This year starting I bought some chappels from Bata, Ernakulam, for my wife and mother. The one I bought for my wife for 499 used only 2 times. She wore the same 2 days to office and the 3rd day she finds the problem in that. The fake leather material starts going and that day while coming back, the strap came out. If a product buying for 499 rupees, how many time should use it? This experience is not the first time to me. Last time I sent a mail, but not even a single reply from bata received. So this time I wrote seriously. Below is the mail regarding the shoe of mine which already sent mail. But this time even worst experience. Only 2 days used and 3 rd day gone, that too wearing and going and coming back in car. Bought some where in January and started using last week, but was able to use it for 3 days.

                            I'm going to visit the bata shop again with the defective item for their reply this week.

                              I am Biby Thomas, purchased a bata shoe in 2009 Aug, for my marriage from the bata shop situated opposite to Chennai Silks, Ernakulam. I used that shoe less than 20 times yet, After marriage we went to Chennai for a function, when I walked outside from the Railway station, the sole of my right shoe fully came separate. And within this 10 usage the leather part also gone. I went to a shoe shop to stitch or paste my sole, he told this is not leather material, it is some what like a layer of lether outside the reksin. Any way i stitched and went for the function and came back. In few days o[censored]sage the leather part also gone almost completely.

                              If a company like bata is doing like this (keeping reksin and cheat the customers by showing it as leather). I ashamed of Bata now. I purchased that shoe for 1199/_ rs. what is this, a shoe for 1200 for less than 20 times o[censored]sage. I used it very carefully, since i mostly travel in cars, not in a crowed bus. I request Bata to stop cheating people like this, Please dont repeat this type of cheap mentality and cheating valued customers. This will definitely reduce your customer strength. sure... I purchased a woodland shoe for 1150 after the discount and using it without any issues. If you are doing like this, you should give those cheating items for less price, and give customers good items for these prices.

                              Why I wrote this was of 2 reason, last week my chennai friend asked me, where is that Bata shoes man? after 2 years. Then the trust in the woodlands shoes, very nice material and good one. So please treat this as an advice and Dont cheat customers like this.

                                Bata India pvt Ltd — Complaint in shoe

                                Dear Sir,

                                I am a very old and regular customer from Bata. At present there is a complaint in bata shoe.
                                I bough a shoe with cash memo no. 04-11-08/0134 from Bata shoe store, Lajpatnagar, New Delhi on 04th Nov'08 in 999 Rs. I used these shoe occationally only I think approximate 10-15 times. few days back I noticed that the upper part of leather is chipping off, these are not any scratch etc but this is a complaint in the shoe. today I ring on phone to the lajpat nagar shop and talk to Mr. Rajesh about my problem but he is saying that the guarantee is only till 75 dyas and because of less usage the shoe got damage, this can not be replaced, I disappointed to heard this but you can see the shoe condition and can judge that the condition is okay but the leather is chipping off, also the price sticker is still there, by this you can check the shoe is only used occanally. Please sort out my problem and confirm where I can show the condition of the shoe to bata execuive.

                                The policy guidelines covering the replacement are as under:

                                61st till 75th Day - 25% replacement

                                  I have purchased a shoes as on date 04/03/2012 from BATA INDIA LTD, H-3 KINGSWAY CAMP, HUDSON LANE, NEW DELHI,but within 4 months his soles dameged.I have contacted from above mentioned shop for my damaged sole, but they replied that firstly you have to register your complaint to Bata India Customer Care,they will issue a letter against your complaint for repair, replacement or exchange your shoes, then we will take action against your letter issued by issuing authority( Bata India ) to you.

                                  I am requesting to you please take necessary steps against my request to solve my problem.

                                  I had purchased sandals from BATA( shop no.02038, M.G.Road, Pune) dated 10/4/2015. the price of the product is 899/- and article no. is 551-9399 I hardly use it for 2 days and the sole of the product is gt open completely.I reported it to the shop keeper and he said he can fixed it but then after 2 days shopkeeper asked me for bill of the product so that he can replaced it with the new one because the sole of that sandal is completely open and may be its a faulty product he said.As i have lost my bill, shopkeeper asked me to get letter from BATA for replacement purpose.
                                  Since 22 nd april i am trying to contact bata with email and toll free no. but dint gt any reply.
                                  i am using bata products over 20years but this the first time i am facing such type of behaviour from bata and also the low product quality. Kindly solve this issue soon.

                                    My name is Tumul Taran and I have purchased Hush Puppies Shoes in November 2012 from the Bata operated showroom at 4-D, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

                                    After purchasing a shoe for a high price of 2700-/- (pictures attached) It is really disheartening that the shoe has shown such a complaint that too i've worn it only few times and not even daily. it's upper pasting has gone off and the right feet shoe has lost its sole already. And what's more disheartening is that when i went to the above showroom to lodge a complaint about the same, the sales guys and the manager told me that they cannot address to my complaint since I don't have the receipt.

                                    I am very very disappointed with whatever is happening in the quality check department in Bata India despite the fact that Bata claim policy says that "Bata products are manufactured with the utmost care and stringent quality control is always maintained". This is really not done.

                                    I have left the shoe with the showroom despite of their dis-agreement and the receipt of the same is attached herewith. I can't understand why these people are behaving like that senselessly when the fault comes under major manufacturing defect which is unquestionable...the sole of the shoe has gone off in 5 months. Sometimes i doubt whether Bata sell original Hush Puppies or pirated ones.

                                    I had been purchasing Bata shoes even from my school days and had always liked the brand. But now surprisingly I am forced to hate it specially because of the quality of Hush Puppies I purchased. As far as the receipt is concerned, I paid for that through my credit card and i can show my credit card statement with DETAILING of the store if that is needed to verify my purchase.

                                    Now I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint? The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction. And the best thing that the email ID for complain is not working.

                                    This is just a note to let you know how pleased I was with the service I received. I got my shoes exchanged with new Shoes. Your customer care staffs were very helpful.

                                      Hello Guys,

                                      This is about how bad quality shoes delivered by BATA. And they are not taking responsibility for that.
                                      I bought a formal shoes having followin details

                                      Article : 8216951
                                      Bought From : Bata Store , M G Road, Vadodara
                                      Purchase Date : 08th Jan 2012
                                      Cost: 750

                                      Then just after 3 months, I am having problem with it.
                                      1st the bottom of the shoes was losing its grip. I got it repaired. And then just after 2 weeks the stitches o[censored]pper part of shoes stated opening up.
                                      I again gave it to BATA store for repair. And after repair, in just 1 day it was again damaged, coming back to its initial condition. Now what to do?
                                      With many hopes, I reached to BATA. I mailed them. I have attached a reply from them in the attachment below.

                                      The BATA people haven't even had look at the shoes & just replied that this incidental damage, not the quality issue. I was just like left helpless.
                                      I gave up. And purchased new shoes of another company.

                                      Here I swear that I will never buy any product of BATA in future. And I advise all to stay away from bad quality BATA products.
