Sir,

I am Biby Thomas, purchased a bata shoe in 2009 Aug, for my marriage from the bata shop situated opposite to Chennai Silks, Ernakulam. I used that shoe less than 20 times yet, After marriage we went to Chennai for a function, when I walked outside from the Railway station, the sole of my right shoe fully came separate. And within this 10 usage the leather part also gone. I went to a shoe shop to stitch or paste my sole, he told this is not leather material, it is some what like a layer of lether outside the reksin. Any way i stitched and went for the function and came back. In few days o[censored]sage the leather part also gone almost completely.

If a company like bata is doing like this (keeping reksin and cheat the customers by showing it as leather). I ashamed of Bata now. I purchased that shoe for 1199/_ rs. what is this, a shoe for 1200 for less than 20 times o[censored]sage. I used it very carefully, since i mostly travel in cars, not in a crowed bus. I request Bata to stop cheating people like this, Please dont repeat this type of cheap mentality and cheating valued customers. This will definitely reduce your customer strength. sure... I purchased a woodland shoe for 1150 after the discount and using it without any issues. If you are doing like this, you should give those cheating items for less price, and give customers good items for these prices.

Why I wrote this was of 2 reason, last week my chennai friend asked me, where is that Bata shoes man? after 2 years. Then the trust in the woodlands shoes, very nice material and good one. So please treat this as an advice and Dont cheat customers like this.

    I brought a shoe in 2.06.2012 from amritsar putli ghar.cash memo # :02.06.12/1/0066..article no.8716408 SS no.1 and SZ no.8...my shoe paste has come out...and i have lodged a complaint via phone.and i was told that i will get a shoe in exchange with that.so kindly look into this matter and please do something with this...thank you.

    Bata India pvt Ltd — Complaint in shoe

    Dear Sir,

    I am a very old and regular customer from Bata. At present there is a complaint in bata shoe.
    I bough a shoe with cash memo no. 04-11-08/0134 from Bata shoe store, Lajpatnagar, New Delhi on 04th Nov'08 in 999 Rs. I used these shoe occationally only I think approximate 10-15 times. few days back I noticed that the upper part of leather is chipping off, these are not any scratch etc but this is a complaint in the shoe. today I ring on phone to the lajpat nagar shop and talk to Mr. Rajesh about my problem but he is saying that the guarantee is only till 75 dyas and because of less usage the shoe got damage, this can not be replaced, I disappointed to heard this but you can see the shoe condition and can judge that the condition is okay but the leather is chipping off, also the price sticker is still there, by this you can check the shoe is only used occanally. Please sort out my problem and confirm where I can show the condition of the shoe to bata execuive.

    As per the information provided by you after all discussions and considerations Since the purchase was made more than 14 months back which is beyond our statutory replacement policy.

    The policy guidelines covering the replacement are as under:

    Up to 15th day - 100% replacement

    16th to 30th day - 75% replacement

    31st to 60th Day - 50% replacement

    61st till 75th Day - 25% replacement

    Hence we would not be able to provide replacement for your shoes.

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      I have purchased a shoes as on date 04/03/2012 from BATA INDIA LTD, H-3 KINGSWAY CAMP, HUDSON LANE, NEW DELHI,but within 4 months his soles dameged.I have contacted from above mentioned shop for my damaged sole, but they replied that firstly you have to register your complaint to Bata India Customer Care,they will issue a letter against your complaint for repair, replacement or exchange your shoes, then we will take action against your letter issued by issuing authority( Bata India ) to you.

      I am requesting to you please take necessary steps against my request to solve my problem.

      Hi Rakesh, we regret the inconvenience caused to you. Your complaint is shared with the customer service department and they will revert back to you at the earliest.
      I had purchased sandals from BATA( shop no.02038, M.G.Road, Pune) dated 10/4/2015. the price of the product is 899/- and article no. is 551-9399 I hardly use it for 2 days and the sole of the product is gt open completely.I reported it to the shop keeper and he said he can fixed it but then after 2 days shopkeeper asked me for bill of the product so that he can replaced it with the new one because the sole of that sandal is completely open and may be its a faulty product he said.As i have lost my bill, shopkeeper asked me to get letter from BATA for replacement purpose.
      Since 22 nd april i am trying to contact bata with email and toll free no. but dint gt any reply.
      i am using bata products over 20years but this the first time i am facing such type of behaviour from bata and also the low product quality. Kindly solve this issue soon.

        Hi,

        My name is Tumul Taran and I have purchased Hush Puppies Shoes in November 2012 from the Bata operated showroom at 4-D, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

        After purchasing a shoe for a high price of 2700-/- (pictures attached) It is really disheartening that the shoe has shown such a complaint that too i've worn it only few times and not even daily. it's upper pasting has gone off and the right feet shoe has lost its sole already. And what's more disheartening is that when i went to the above showroom to lodge a complaint about the same, the sales guys and the manager told me that they cannot address to my complaint since I don't have the receipt.

        I am very very disappointed with whatever is happening in the quality check department in Bata India despite the fact that Bata claim policy says that "Bata products are manufactured with the utmost care and stringent quality control is always maintained". This is really not done.

        I have left the shoe with the showroom despite of their dis-agreement and the receipt of the same is attached herewith. I can't understand why these people are behaving like that senselessly when the fault comes under major manufacturing defect which is unquestionable...the sole of the shoe has gone off in 5 months. Sometimes i doubt whether Bata sell original Hush Puppies or pirated ones.

        I had been purchasing Bata shoes even from my school days and had always liked the brand. But now surprisingly I am forced to hate it specially because of the quality of Hush Puppies I purchased. As far as the receipt is concerned, I paid for that through my credit card and i can show my credit card statement with DETAILING of the store if that is needed to verify my purchase.

        Now I would like to know from BATA how they are going to treat my complaint? The way they are to respond to my complaint would reflect their faith on the Quality system and Customer satisfaction. And the best thing that the email ID for complain is not working.

        Dear customer care team,

        On 10th July 2012, I had made a complain regarding my Hush Puppies shoes to your company at India.
        This is just a note to let you know how pleased I was with the service I received. I got my shoes exchanged with new Shoes. Your customer care staffs were very helpful.
        In this day and age good customer service is often difficult to find, and I feel it is important that it be recognized.
        Thank you for your commitment to good customer service. Keep up the good work.

          Hello Guys,

          This is about how bad quality shoes delivered by BATA. And they are not taking responsibility for that.
          I bought a formal shoes having followin details

          Article : 8216951
          Bought From : Bata Store , M G Road, Vadodara
          Purchase Date : 08th Jan 2012
          Cost: 750

          Then just after 3 months, I am having problem with it.
          1st the bottom of the shoes was losing its grip. I got it repaired. And then just after 2 weeks the stitches o[censored]pper part of shoes stated opening up.
          I again gave it to BATA store for repair. And after repair, in just 1 day it was again damaged, coming back to its initial condition. Now what to do?
          With many hopes, I reached to BATA. I mailed them. I have attached a reply from them in the attachment below.

          The BATA people haven't even had look at the shoes & just replied that this incidental damage, not the quality issue. I was just like left helpless.
          I gave up. And purchased new shoes of another company.

          Here I swear that I will never buy any product of BATA in future. And I advise all to stay away from bad quality BATA products.

            i have purchased a pair of sleepers from company operated showroom at 36 paltan bazar,dehradun for cost of Rs.199.after 5 days o[censored]se the upper material of the sleeper got damaged itself.I too lost the bill.when i went to the showroom,retailer said that i have to bring a mail letter from the company regarding the solution of the issue.

              I bought one pair Slipper in Basaveswar Nagar branch 25th April 2012 and on the same day I traveled to chick Mangalore, on the same I started to use the slipper and it was crunch for both the side. I have put Oil to avoid the Crunch, it did not worked fine...as it new brand unable to use. I returned to showroom on 13th May 2012 and
              no response till the time and I have called personally to them for the status and wonder shop keeper replied no use of discuss and no patience to listen my concerns..

                I had purchased a power shoe from BATA outlet guwahati silpuhri Branch.The shoe was damaged just after two weks.The manager of BATA silpukhri Branch Guwahati was aggressive and unapproachable,when I went to lodge a complaint against the damaged shoe.I have tendered an application as a complaint against a damaged shoe which i purchased on 28th april 2012 and it was damaged on 15th May 2012.I filed the compalint on 16th May 2012.I hope the complaint will be addressed at the earliest but the manager conveniently asked me to wait for 10 days to revert me back.kindly look into the matter.

                  I bought my shoes on 6 April 2012 and i am really disappointed because of the soles of the shoes .I have bought it not even a week and the soles have been tore out. I bought it for 800rupees and there was a offer that time that if the soles of the shoes will come out they would change it. When i went there back to change my shoes they told me that i have to give them the payment bill but by mistake i have lost it somewhere and they told me to send a mail to you and request.I hope you can help me out in this.

                    Dear Sir,
                    I have purchased Ladies sleeper worth Rs1200 from new Bata Shop near Regal CP , yesterday when I reached there to lodge complaint he told show the bill , it was purchased in Oct-11 . I don,t have the bill which is the regular pactice of anyone.
                    When I told that I don't have the bill , he give me customer care number of BATA & asked to make a complaint on this number. When I called BATA told me that they are offering only 2 months warranty written on Bill. While in shop nothing is displayed about the warranty ,which is to be displayed.
                    It is indication of the mlafied intentions about the Product quality about its manufacturing defects & it seems they are selling 2nd grade material on fresh prices.
                    I need suggestion & my sleeper to be replaced by BATA.

                      I dont know up to what extent this complaint will help.

                      I have placed an online order from BATA for two pair of shoes on 18th march, and order number is 10066145. After 14 days (31st march) they canceled my order and they mailed me and say they want refund my money now today is 26 April and they did not refund my money. When I spoke to bata customer care, they just a place complaint no [protected]... and say please wait at 24 to 48 hours, I do not know what to do?.

                      So after 2 month we purchased 1 more product from the same shop but they denied to adjust the value & still not give the replacement of the product & my money. They kept the product.

                      Kindly look & favour in to the above.

                      It has been a matter of distress for me for being your customer. I Saurabh Gupta purchased a pair of slippers from your krishna nagar-(f- 2/14, DELHI-51) outlet on 28/10/08. Article no. is 871 4082 size 6 costing me Rs.249 but the pair broke down within 20 days of purchase. When i approached your store manager he clarified that its not his fault at all. He also refused to give me the contact no. and email-id of the headquaters and concerned authorities. He misbehaved and even abused me while he was smoking. Now i urge you to solve this problem of mine and take the required action as soon as possible otherwise you will compell me to approach the consumer court.

                        I dont know up to what extent this complaint will help.

                        I have placed an online order from BATA for pair of shoes on 19th march, and order number is 10064964. Still now i haven't received the shipment.
                        when I spoke to bata customer care, they just a place complaint number [protected]. From past one month I am daily calling , but they are giving same response," Sir, pls wait for 48 hours".

                        I dont know wht to do or whom to contact next.

                          Hello Sir,
                          I am preetha from Chennai(Tamilnadu) . i have been using bata since my childhood. Last time i bought a pair of shoes- Scholls(Rs. 1,400) from Bata showroom located close to my area- annanagar (chintamani), on 2.10.2011..i hardly used it for a week and was surprised to see that the straps- welcro gave way and the stitches started coming out. i launched a complaint on 25.11.2011 as per the showroom managers advice (When i went to your showroom they ask me the bill but i missed the bill) to bata customer care(complaint no[protected] and the person who spoke to me said that i will get a reply in a weeks time but i did not receive any mail from bata customer care. so i called customer care on 3.12.11 to check what happened to the complaint i launched, the person who spoke to me said that the complaint was not registered so asked me to file another complaint, i did that (complaint no[protected]i have not yet received a reply from bata customer care. i never expected such a poor response from bata customer care, i keep calling regularly but every time they say give me 2 days, i v called them more than 25 times but still not got an answer for my problem, the shoes .Please solve my problem at the earliest .

                            Dear Sir,
                            It is quite astonished to note that you being one of the profound
                            Company is not responding to a complaint regarding colour fading of a
                            sandal set purchased vide bill no. 01737 dated 22.3.2012 from Bata
                            Showroom at Chalai, East Fort, Trivandrum. On approaching them, I was
                            told by them arrogantly and informed that they will not replaced it.
                            Since you have kept mum, I leavewith no other alternative but to force
                            me to hand over the matter to the legal advisor to procede against you
                            in Consumer Court.
                            Hope, you will not press me to take such drastic steps.

                              i purchased one pair of bata power shoes from your bistupur shop .one pair is broken from the bottom side near the lessriban hole, gave them to the store in between the repair/replace warranty but shop owner was advise to mail her site .

                                I placed an order thru their online portal (http://www.bata.in) around 20 days back and till date I have no update
                                My order no is 10060579 . I tried calling thier help line no (Toll Free[protected] but that is almost impossible to reach and when ever we get thru, they say they will inform the concerned dept. Even today ( 21/3/2012) it shows invoice generated in the status but dont know when the material will deliver.

                                WHile online companies like yebhi.com and lenscart deliver in 2-3 days, this is like 20 days and no sign. I dont even know why such incompetent companies enter into e business when they dont have the potential to meet the demands .


                                No wonder that BATA is at verge of closure.

                                  Problem Statement

                                  1. Product Defect
                                  The Product Get damaged within few days o[censored]se only, cracks have developed in the sole of a shoe.
                                  Pictures of the same are attached with this email. If you closely Observe the Pictures attached , you will find the developement of the crack is from the top so there is no question of mis handling of the product while use.Its Cause of Poor Quality of Material/Manufacturing.

                                  2. Store Responce
                                  I thougt I should approch the same store (Sangli Outlet; where I had Purchased the product ) & ask for aid about the defective piece.
                                  I informed the store Manager about the defect; but without listening the complaint he was asking us to complaint it to the Custmor Care.
                                  If this would have been multibrand store i would have no objection about store managers responce, but being company outlethe was asking to register the complaint through net.

                                  [Behaviour is like after Selling product Bata is not at all bothered about customer & there trarget to just Sell not the Customor Satisfaction]
                                  [I am Literate @ using Computer & other Services, but what about the custmrs who are not able to use the internate or Custmor Service Numbers Effectively..Store responces like this will not be able to provide value for money what they have bought from bata stores]

                                  3.Bad Experience of Customer Care Center[protected]

                                  After getting poor responce from store manager I called up to Custemor Care number[protected]
                                  There I spent around 35 Mins to register my complaint & getting complaint number. [That Poor Lady("Indu": As told by Executive) was not able to generate Customer Complaint Number as server was under maintainance: So After Wating for Long Time I got my Registered Complaint Number)]

                                    Dear Sir/ Madam,
                                    This is to bring to your notice that the Quality of Bata Shoes is deteriorating day by day. This is the third time I have replace d Bata shoes and to my utter surprise the shoes are dislocated. the first footware purshased for 299/- was asked by BATA to replace as the same was worn out within 1 month o[censored]se. I was very happy and satisfied and bought a replacement for 699/-. But to me next surprise , it got dismantled within 1 1/2 months. I was horrified and went to BATA asking for replacement . and to my pleasant surprise the same was replaced and I got new pair for Rs. 499/- . But I got a shock when the THIRD REPLACEMENT broke within 1 month of purchase. Now I dont want to go to BATA as I DO NOT TRUST IT ANY MORE. I dont even want to use any product FREEE of COST.

                                    Same was the experience with MARIE CLAIRE Bag. I bought it for 1399/- of which chain was broken and there were scratches all over within less than 1 month o[censored]se. To my surprise even the bag was replaced and I bought a new one for Rs. 799/- . Now after 2 months o[censored]se The new bag , looks as if I have being using it for more than a year.

                                    I am really TIRED of BATA products and would recommend ALL to Keep away from the CHEAP QUALITY PRODUCTS OF BATA. and STOP WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON BATA PRODUCTS.

                                    I WANT SOME BODY TO PLEASE HELP ME.

                                    Same goes with me dude. I bought a Formal shoes from BATA. I paid Rs.750 for that. And just after 3 months the damaged started. I got it repaired 2 times, But every time it was repaired, It get back to same condition in just 1 day after repair. And now I am not able wear them.

                                    I complained about quality to BATA but they replied me like this damage is not due to quality but due to some incidental damage. They didn't even had look at my shoes once. That's what BATA is. Holly . Worst quality.

                                      I purchased a pair of shoes from Bata show room situated at City Centre, Salt Lake City in the month of November 2011. I noticed that the sole separation in thia month. Though I am staying at MP therefore I sent the shoes with cash meno through my fried today and they denied to accept the shoes for repairing. They said that the shoes can not be accepted as it is already two months over. It means warranty period is for two months. The shoes was cost Rs.1195.00. They did not mentioned the warranty period in the cash memo. If this type of service we are getting from a remound co. then what we expect form others, Now I don't have any faith on Bata.

                                      Hi,

                                      I had purchase a Bata Formal Shoes just before the rain for Rs 1499. Within 3 months the sole of the shoes split off form the base of the soes. The shoe was purchased from Andheri West S.V.Road (opp to shoppers stop) outlet. When I went there to show the sole the outlet manager was more than willing to give the soes for sole replacement and he did that. But now i doub the quality of shoes Bata is manufacturing because after the replacement of the sole for the shoes the sole has come out in 10 days time. Is this the way the customers are treated in India. Our consumer court is not so strong because for this we can sue them for a huge sum.

                                      Hope this is heard and something is done against it.

                                      I have purchased a party shoe ( product code : 851 6969 ) from Bata Shoe Store located at Faridabad, a priced Rs 1099.95( one thousand ninety nine and ninty five paise only ) on dated 25 march 2011 and come to Saudi Arebia on dated 21 april 2011 for job and start using it since 21 april till now. within 10 days I found the shoe defective we are not able to wear this shoes and purchase new shoe again
                                      Now I am in saudi arabia what can I do. we can not come to India for replacing shoe

                                      I am a 70 year old retired Army Officer. About a year & a half back I bought a pair of black leather Hush Puppy sandals from a mall in Banglore. These sandals have been sparingly used, mostly indoors.Never have they been rough used. The sole & the top look almost new. However, the ridge through which the sole is stiched to the uppers has broken & the sole has separated. It is obviously a manufacturing defect & no way can it be repaired. I wrote to Hush Puppies about this & they have advised me to contact Bata India.I would request you to take action as your reputed Company sees appropriate.

                                      I have purchased one pair of shoes name: Boardwalk, model no.                                       i purchased a pair of shoes from bata store situated in pavilion mall ludhiana. the sole of the shoes got cracked with in 15 days of purchase. company refused to change the same. company gives two month warranty of crack sole of shoes as mention in the bill.
                                      I had purchased a pair of shoes " Hush Puppies" from Bata store in DLF Place Mall at Saket, New Delhi in December 2014. Just after two months, the laces gave away then I purchased another laces . In April, sole of one of the shoe cracked, I had to spent another 100 bucks for repair. Now, the street shoemaker has told me that the cracked sole is beyond repair.

                                      I was so sure about the quality of Bata shoe that I didn't bothered to retain the Cash Memo.But by linking my mobile no. [protected] with your store at address mentioned above, you may easily verify the facts.

                                      Of course, I am bothered about loss of .approx. Rs.3300/- spent on purchase of defective shoes. But the thing which is really causing me pain is that one can not rely upon such a great brand name "BATA" anymore.

                                      I purchased sports shoes from Bata showroom at Bata Shoe Store, Phoenix mall Bareilly on 24 Dec 14. The lace holes in the shoes are elongated and torn resulting in improper lacing. It's been barely 5 months since purchase. I registered the complaint with Bata on 13 May 15 vide Query Reference number: 4024771 and 403795. Further, the details asked from Bata Customer Care were:
                                      1. The Article Number[protected]
                                      2. Item not shown to any Bata store
                                      3. Date of Purchase- 24 Dec 2014 18:28:37 Hrs
                                      4. Credit/debit card statement indicating the Date of purchase- The Debit Card linked to Account XXXXXXXX0779 was used for transaction of INR 1, 800.00 Info.VPS*BATA INDIA on[protected]:28:37. The transaction number is VPS/BATA INDIA /[protected]/0 from ICICI bank debit card. The copy of bank statement reflecting purchase from Bata is attached.
                                      5. Full address / contact no. of the store from where the purchase was made.- Bata ShoeStore, Phoenix Mall, Pilibhit Bypass, Ujjwal Phase - 1, Mahanagar Colony, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh 243006.
                                      Till date no suitable reply has been sought from Bata end.

                                        Hi,

                                        I bought a pair of shoes(5516875 Cheryl) from Bata Store (Bata India Ltd, 4D Cannaught Place, New Delhi) on 4 Feb 2012. I wore it once and both the heels came off. I filed a complaint on 10th Feb 2012. I was asked to buy a replacement pair of shoes but the store does not have the sizes available for the shoes I liked.

                                        Either I should be free to buy shoes from other Bata Stores or I should be refunded the cost of the defected shoes.

                                        I have both the cash memo and the complaint slip with me.
                                        I have also written to their customer care but there has been no response till now !!
