I am writing this letter to you to complain about the poor quality of the material used I observed in the shoes I recently bought.

Respected, my name is Mini Johnny and I would state that I bought a pair of shoes from Bata 40/9648 on 25/5/2022.The total billing amount paid was 2499₹. I made payment for the purchase via cash.

I regret informing you that a product with such a good MRP came out to be poor in quality after few days o[censored]sage. The sole of the shoe was torn and cracked and the paint is peeling off from the heel part .

We have been buying footwear from Bata for years now.
Being a regular buyer of your Brand’s products makes it difficult for me to accept the product received. And it’s my first time facing this problem. Bata declined to address the issue citing that they are liable only upto 90 days from date of purchase. Since I was not in my place I couldn’t able to show the damage and replacing date was also over.

Please consider replacing the product as soon as possible, I am requesting a return pick up of the product to the store with a copy of the bill. I am even enclosing the pictures I took once I opened the product to show you the condition.

I request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful. I look forward to your quick and positive response.

In my case it happened in just 5 days and they are not ready to replace it though it is in warranty. Bata products quality has become so bad, dont by anything from BATA. BAN BATA.

    I am writing with reference to my online order on 7th Jan 2023 of Rs 7747 for 3 pair of hush puppies and I got an order confirmation email as well and money was deducted from my bank account as well.

    When I was not able to track the order, it didnt find any such order. I then wrote to Bata customer care. They replied that there was a rare technical problem and hence the order failed and that they will issue a refund. Its been around 23 days now and I am yet to get my refund. Even upon writing to customer care multiple time, they just blindly reply with a new reference number every time.

    On calling up, I am being told now that the transaction had failed and money was not deducted from account. They are not even providing me with email/contact number of any higher authority.

    The problem is there isnt any higher authority contact email or contact person name listed in the website where we can escalate such poor customer service.

    This reflects so poorly of one of the oldest and leading India brand of shoes - Bata. As a customer, its utterly disappointing not only about the service meted out by customer care but the fact that they are just replying to emails like robots without even caring to read the email.

      Hi,

      On December 31st 2022, I spent 1798 on 2 pair of slippers at Store located in No 20. Centre Court, Banaswadi, Main Road, Banaswadi, Bangalore- 560029. To our surprise, the stripe has been cut after just less than a month. Since the 1980s, I haven't seen a product like that.

      I have visited the store today[protected] at 8:30 pm where the executive who is at cash counter not responding in a timely manner and not answering my request, he refused to take complaint of the concern and spoken unprofessional manner.

      Hence, I have left the product at the desk in your store and he is saying we will throw it in dustbin which he meant, you people will consider customer as the same after the purchase of the product, is that you value for a customer for choosing your brand when there are multiple in the market???

      I'm including images of the item along with a copy of the bill.

      Please address to my questions...

      1. I have not used it regularly to my office where I had used thrice from the purchase, so it's unquestionably results from the manufacturing end's failure. Why then wasn't it returned or replaced?

      2. The shore person said that the slipper couldn't be able to returned or replaced because of stripe cut, where it can be re-stiched only, but the way your staff treated me is not right manner also I have noticed some of your staff members who are at outside stall were laughing and making comments after leaving the store.

      3. Since the product cost is Rs. 891.96, you people don't respect the customer after the purchase??? Is that money is not worth which is my hard earned spent on your product????

      4. I can consider this loss as penalty for choosing your brand but the humiliation I faced by your staffs, cannot compensate it. Please do not do like this to anyone.

      5. I humbly request you to value the customer if they purchase your product even it's for a 1 rupee, and give the core value to address the concerns whenever they approach after the purchase also, please.

      6. All these years, I have never witnessed a Bata product by this quality, even the product of Rs. 100/- is more durable than yours with this experience.

      Could you please support and help me with posible soulution to my concern and it would be appreciated.

        I am shareholder of bata india ltd. since more than 10 years. Every year i receive two discount coupons entitling me to purchase two pair of footwear at 20% discount. This year i have not received these coupons till date. Please let me know if bata india ltd. Has stopped sending such coupons to shareholders from this year.           I bought a wedge heel in lilac colour from a bata store from a mall and it looked really pretty. However the paint is peeling off from the heel part and the one underneath has a tacky yellow colour. We have been buying footwear from Bata for years now. Shocked to have such an experience from one of our trusted shops.

              Hi Team,

              I have got a link from Bata for refund on 19th Jan, 2023. Till now I'm trying to enter my bank details and all the required information but the OPT is not coming to my email or number.

              Please check this in priority, its been 23 days since I had this issue with Bata, and finally when they sent the link, its not working either.

                I purchased formal shoes from Bata's Kalkaji Show Room on 30.09.2022. Just after three months, left pair got completely damaged and the soul started peeling out. Covering inside the shoes also started tearing. Bata declined to address the issue citing that they are liable only upto 90 days from date of purchase. I wonder how Bata makes such low quality shoes which gets damaged in 120 days.

                At the outset, we are sorry to hear about your inconvenience. However, please note that a replacement is given only in case of a major manufacturing defect which is identified and highlighted to us along with the proof of purchase, within 90 days, from the date of purchase.

                Since the purchase was made on 30 September 2022, hence the product/order unfortunately is not eligible for a replacement.

                  I order about 16 pairs of footwear, of which I wanted to return 7. I emailed the customer services address but they did not process it. Then I called them to return these 7 items and staryed on the line for about 40 minutes giving so the details of the return. The service agent from Bata said that he was going to process 1 on the phone and the remaining 6 will be processed the next day. However they did not get processed. I emailed them multiple times but they keep replying saying the "ticket is resolved" but in reality it has not been resolved and the returns are not processed. I have now emailed them about 10 times sharing all the details of the returns but they keep repeated the same thing. It is now nearly 30 days since the time I purchased the items and I am worried they will never accept the returns.

                  Please can you help me?

                    Such a pathetic service given by your mg road pune-411001outlet. I have purchased shoes on 12th Dec 2022 after 1 month shoes condition is worst as well as soul condition also. when i visited the showroom no any response from them, they are saying no any refund policy there, very rude behavior also i ask them to exchange it, still they are not giving, bata is such a big brand i am regular customer of batá but i really disappointed with this purchase, i will never recommend any of my friend ever to purchase batá footwear.

                      Condition of the sole will be evident from the pics enclosed.Both the sole got cracks despite using rightways(pic speaks better)

                          My original complaint ticket id to Bata India is 457861.

                          I had purchased a shoe online from Bata website on 12th December 2022 by making full payment. Since the size did not fit, I called the call centre. They mentioned that I can go to any shop and get it exchanged. Upon asking what if they do not have the product, I was told that it will be the responsibility of the shop to arrange for it. I visited a Bata store and they asked me to visit a Hush Puppies store. I went there too and they said they can exchange it but I will have to pay additional Rs 2000 for the shoe for which I had already paid just for size difference. They used a term called mutation meaning different batch of processing. I informed them that I don’t need the shoe any more and want the money back. They said that I will have to apply online. I applied online from the shop itself and they told me that I cannot leave the shoe at the store and that it will be picked up. I waited for a few days and then again raised a query. Then after 2 complaints after 2 weeks someone came to collect the shoe. Now I am waiting since then to receive my money.

                          I had PAID for a pair of shoes on 12th Dec and after much trouble got the same picked up as it did not meet my size requirement and. Am yet to receive the refund.

                          Every time I raise a complaint or respond to the mail I receive an apologetic mail and then after 2 days the case is closed. How do they close a case unless the purpose for which the complaint has been initiated has been resolved . I have been only receiving mails stating that there has been a delay beyond their standard service time but the resolution is not provided.

                          I have been patiently writing and contacting the customer care but to no avail.

                          Can you please ask them to tell me when I will receive my refund. I would be grateful if someone can address the real concern here rather than writing flowery apologetic mails.

                          I have been using Hush Puppies for as long as I remember. For information during this time I have purchased a shoe from another brand and have already started using it. Bata-Hush Puppies did loose a customer.

                          I just need my refund and if will be a great help if you can fine Bata India for the harassment so that they mend their systems and other customers do not face this issue. I don’t need the fine money. Bata should be fined to provide free leather shoes to all the Government schools in Mumbai.

                          I’ll be happy if I get my refund.

                            Requesting to provide the solution for following,
                            • Guidelines to repair shoes
                            • Unnecessary spending on second visit : time(including travel), expenses.
                            • Unnecessary stress on the second visit.

                            Case Details :

                            1.[protected], visited Bata showroom no.16, big Bazaar St, near Rackfort temple, Tiruchirappalli and received very poor customer service.
                            2.[protected], Send mail to Bata customer care about our experience in bata store.
                            3.[protected], Received mail with reference number and they requested me to share the invoice details.
                            4.[protected], Replied mail with transaction details with attachment and discussed over voice call with customer care (Please refer voice recording) and explained all the difficulties to visit again but your executive only informed me to visit the same bata store again (which is so for away from Chennai, more than 300 KMs) for the solution and she given 100% assurance over & mail communication.
                            5.[protected], Based on the confirmation received (over voice & mail) I have started a journey from Chennai to Trichy.
                            6.[protected], Displayed the hard copy of your email communication to bata store, but again same issues from the store. Discussed with your customer care executive and explained briefly, but they said Bata will not provide the solution or support to repair as it is already 90 days over from the date of purchase. I request to return my shoes for that also no proper response from the store and they said already thrown outside and the same has been conveyed to customer care executive. I suggested to check CCTV camera and then executive request me to give the phone to store person, but they denied to discuss and not ready to share manager number. More than 1 hour spent in the store and requested to return the product and finally received the shoes without repair.

                                I have bought a product from bat on 27th dec 2022 and ther is no sense of delivery despite full amount being paid.

                                Very irresponsive behaviour and reckless nature to consumers. Need to take this as sumoto case against bata for doing fraud to the customers.

                                Grievance need to be raised on bata with LD and I don't recommend my fellow Indian citizens to use bata

                                        Ordered two items on 3rd July 2022 from Bata Online out of which one item was returned.
                                        I didn't get credit note instead of that. Called customer care 100 times but they are not taking seriously and every time reply that "Within 2-3 working days you will get your credit note". Amount expected in terms of credit note= ( INR 1285.09 )
                                        Instead of 2-3 working days, it is going to take almost 6 months.
