            Sub: regarding excess bill

            Dear sir,

            Just received a notification from my bank of a 27, 500 approx debit coming up for my electricity bill for the month of june.

            This is a huge shock as usually my bill averages about 7, 000 and yes at peak levels has gone up to 10, 000 but has also sometimes been about 4, 000 in non peak months (Which is now actually).

            This bill is 4 times my average and clearly appears to be inflated as i know for certain that our consumption of electricity is not so high as to warrant such a high bill. I request you to please look in this matter seriously and send your person to check the actual reading and to then explain the calculations.

            I appreciate if this matter o[censored]nfair excess billing is resolved at the earliest.

                    My consumer number is[protected].
                    The average bill for year 2019 from march 19 to july 19 was inr 1, 750/- per month which includes 4 people for 5 months. The sum of 5 month bill of march 19 to july 19 was inr 8, 750/-, you can verify from your records also. But after revising the slabs and recomputing the tariff based on actual consumption our adjustment bill for march 20 to july 20 is around inr 18, 750. The total amount for the period is inr 5, 330/- paid for march 19 to june 19 plus adjustment payable inr 18, 750/- which sums up to inr 24, 080. We are a middle class family and we have all had pay cuts in our salary and in this situation we are shocked to see such a big consumption in our name.
                    Our consumption units were 1679 for march 19 to july 19 period, again you can check the records. Our consumption as per your adjusted reading shows consumption units as 2681 for period march 20 to july 20.
                    We request you to look into the matter.

                          In the month of July 2020 we got average billing mentioning that you have consumed 286 unit per month in last consecutive three months.
                          Today I have made online payment of my total bill that Rs. 8610 (that is given on the basis of average meter reading and not proper one ) so I have requested please confirm me with my actual electricity bill on the basis of actual consumption and adjust the paid amount with future reading and actual bill, . thank you, reply awaited.

                            I’ve recieved a bill of ₹4200/- for an empty house. The main switch of my house is also switched off.
                            The maximum that my bill went ever was ₹1800/- when atleast 5people including househelps family used to stay. But for the month of jun2020 my family and the househelps family were not there then how can the bill come upto 4200?
                            Pls look into this as this is absolutely unacceptable. Ive stopped the payment for the bill until this gets resolved.

                              Dear concern,

                              We have received higher amount of bill (Ca no.[protected] in spite of paying every month aprox 1100 to 1200. There is differentiation in current bill amount, total adjustment amount and no details of other charges given. There's nothing pending to pay & don't have much usage of electricity still we have received such a high amount of bill. This is not a single case our entire society members have received high amount of bills.
                              In such pandemic situation it's really difficult to pay such high amount bill.

                              Please recheck these readings and provide correct bills. Hope will get response asap. Find attached electricity bill for the month.

                                  Respected Sir / Madam,

                                  I am Vipul G Kokate and my consumer no.[protected].

                                  This month (JULY 2020) I received bill for amount of Rs. 5931.48/- .which is too excess what i always get. When i went through the bill, the current bill amount is only of Rs. 1782.52/- (A) part and for other part total adjustment amount (B) is 4150.26/-.
                                  My question is why I am liable to pay this amount .

                                  What is the bifurcation for amount(B). We need break up of this cost as we are not in such condition to pay much excess amount to you just because you charged us .

                                  Bill is much higher than regular cost, need your explanation on it.

                                  Please resolve this on urgent note.

                                      Hello, Myself Vaishali Manjrekar. I have received 11, 520 Rs. bill for the month of June. I have paid regular bills for March, April, and May which were 1350, 1230, and 1350 respectively. The last printed bill I received was for Feb with meter reading 19616 Kwh and today (15-Jul-2020) it was 21881 Kwh. I have calculated the total bill for used units (i.e 2265 ) using a manual calculator on the official BEST website for the march, April, May, and June is around 7, 329 Rs. But I have paid 3930 as the total bill which I received during the lockdown. There is some mistake in calculating the bill. My consumer no is[protected]. Please look into this matter asap. I attaching the photo of my meter along with the last printed bill I have received.

                                        Kindly note that as yet I have not received the hard copy of the July 2020 bill. However, have received SMS for payment of an amount of Rs 17950/ for July. I have checked last year's bills for the months of April, May & June and July '19, and the average is Rs 2750/ .
                                        For the months of April, May & June 2020 I have made payments of : INR 880, 810, 890 respectively.
                                        As per communication from BEST at the start of lockdown due to COVID-19, it was stated that bill amount will be adjusted when actual reading will be taken.
                                        Hence calculations as per us should be:
                                        Average Bill - 2750/- (for April, May, June)
                                        No. of Months - 3 (April, May, June)
                                        Total - 8250
                                        Total (estimated bill) payment done - 880+810+890 = 2580
                                        Bill after adjustment[protected] = 5670 (approx.)
