Sir,
I submitted an application to BSNL on 20th January 2009 for availing the promotional offer for the government employees on BSNL broadband connection. I expected a reduction of 20% on broad band charges from the month of January onwards. But I received the January 09 bill from BSNL without any deduction of 20%. The due date for payment is mentioned as 25th of February. My telephone no is[protected]. In the same month of January, my colleague at office, Mr. M. Manohar, also applied for the promotional offer to the BSNL office in Nagercoil. He has got the reduction of charges in the bill from January onwards. His telephone no. is[protected].
I would like to point out here that the broadband charge is not calculated on daily basis but on monthly basis and hence no question arises of the offer being applicable with special reference to the date of the month. Since I submitted the request in the month of January and the bill for January is prepared only in February, my claim may be considered valid from the month of January itself, as was done by BSNL Nagercoil in my colleague’s case.
I request you that my just rights as a consumer be protected and that the reduction of 20% on broadband charges may be considered applicable in the bill from the month of January itself. I hope you will consider the matter and do the needful.

Sub: DEAD OF TELEPHONE NO. 2363611
Our telephone No.[protected] is not working and completely dead for more than ONE AND HALF YEAR. We have already made so many complaints in telephonic and verbally, but still the position is same. BSNL people are not bothered to rectify the problem and also they are not giving any satisfactory reply.
In spite of our repeated attempts for the past few months, still our phone is out of order and we are helpless .what to do and how to proceed the matter to get a better service, it is very much disappointing and frustrating us.
Therefore, we request you to look into this matter and do the needful at your end.
