dear sir/ mam

I am working in birla sunlife insurance (Korba, Chhattisgarh) as an agency manager since 23 march 2011. My branch manager has holded my salary and also he is not allowing me to enter the branch. On 25 march he talked with me in very abusive language and sent me out of the branch by saying not to come to the branch anymore. He holded my salary also. The next day when i reach the branch again he sent me out of the branch and told me not to come to the branch anymore.After that he sent me a notice that i "Why i was absent from 25 march", i doesnt understand this political behaviour of him as he first told me not to come to the branch, and when i reach branch he sent me out of the branch and after that he is sending me notice that why i was absent. I am very dissappointed by his behaviour. In fact his behaviour in the office is very abusive and vulgar due to that many other agency managers have resigned from their posts. Please help me to get my salary and also i want to continue my carrier in bsli pls help me.

Dear friend.
You are not the only one facing this problem in Birla. Even the Marine Lines Branch Manager has the same disgussting attitude. He also uses a lot of foul languages. I think the Branch Managers in BSLI are trained to misuse their position. Moreover he has held my salary too. It does not even deserve one star.
Moreover, the Marine Lines branch Manager Vinod Rao also raises hands on their branch managers...then too no action is taken against him...really disghusssting

    I took ULIP policy[protected] from Birla Sunlife Insurance 4 years back through Citi bank. I paid 36000 annually for 3 years which was my locking period.

    So, ideally I should get more than 1 lakh Rs. after the completion of 3 years
    which was not in my case. When I called I was surprised to know that I will get only 70000 Rs. I was told that if I wait for one more year (four years in total) then I will get the capital amount of 1L which I have invested. Today after 4 years when I call the person says that I will get only 71000 Rs only.

    Who in this world would invest an amount of 1L and get a return of only 71000 Rs only? This is clearly fooling people in the name of Insurance.

    I have also joined LIC ULIP exactly after 1 year of joining BSLI. I invested 50000Rs for three years and at the end of three years I got 190000 Rs which makes sense. I invested 1.5 Lakhs and I got 1.9 Lakhs after 3 years. This is what investment is, and not BSLI insurance policy.

    People stay away from BSLI policies. They are not here to save your money, they are here to earn their livings using your money. Go for LIC which is best and no hidden charges.

    This is totally a fraud my friend. How can they take that much money and not give you the amount which have given them after 4 years. You should have put this money in FD or MF, you would have got double by now.

    I will surely share your experience with everyone I know and also keep myself away from Birla. LET THE WORLD KNOW.
    I don't have the insurance myself but reading it I felt it as a nightmare experience and decided not to go for the Birla Insurance. I was planning to go for the insurance, but thanks that I read the review right on time. It saved my life and money.

    I don't want to experience the same and regret for taking one in the future. This is a perfect example of fraud/cheating and I will surely going to alert my friends and colleagues to stay away from taking Birla life Insurance.

      This is regarding the fraud that "Birla Sun Life" insurance company has done with me. I have one policy (Policy no.[protected] running with BSLI from Oct-2008, few days back one agent contacted me clamming to be an BSLI employee. He told me that they need to do some changes in my policy in order to provide me maximum benefits. There representative came to me & took a cheque from me to change the mode of payment (currently by ECS). But when I logged into my BSLI account & checked the details I found that they have opened a new policy in my account out of my knowledge & without getting any such request. Not only this they also changes my contact details (Address & contact no.) so that I can not get the policy documents. Now when I called the customer care of Birla Sun Life they are saying that this is my mistake & they are not responsible for this. This is completely a fraud case as I never signed any new policy document as well as I never requested for any change in my address that was registered when I opened a policy in 2008. The company did all this without any proof.

      I also mailed my issues to them but not getting any response.


      In short:

      1. A new policy has been issued without customer concern & signature by following illegal ways & misguiding the customer.

      2. Contact information has been changed so that I will never get the policy documents & fail to cancel the same.

          I had Bought a Policy fron Birla Sunlife , on 12th of Nov. i recieved the policy dated 31st December 2010 on 5th of January, when i recieved the policy it was a clear case of Mis selling on following points

          1. The sum insured was told to be Rs.24.00 Lakhs , which is 22.50 lakhs as per policy documents
          2. Allocation charges committed were 1% for the first year , which have been deducted at the rate of 3%.
          3. Date of payment is 12th November 2010 , with the receipt number 22901417 , whereas policy commencement date is 31st December 2010.
          4. 5% discount on premium was offered for the first year and for 2nd year it was 10 % and for 3rd year it was 15% and for 4th & fifth year it was 20% , as committed.

          I approached Dehardun Branch , on 20th January and requested for Freelook Cancellation , As per the instructions of MR, Mamraj , i wrote a application for cancellation , which was duly recieved by Mr. Mamraj with a Birlasunlife stamp , I recieved a communication from the company that the policy was recieved by them only on 3rd of februry , i lodged complaint number 0478/BSLIC/10-11/Comp against my Policy #[protected] with IRDA , The comapny has communicated in refernce to IRDA complaint , which was registered on 1st March 2011, that my free look cancellation request was not with in the specified time of 15 days, where as i have already submitted a reciept from their Dehardaun branch , which clearly shows that they have recieved the free look cancellation application on 20th January 2011 , where as the policy was recieved on 5th January , which is within 15 days of the time allowed for free look cancellation.
          The company is behaving in highly irresponsible manner and ignoring the facts , it shows how a cheater can be part of such organisation in pursuit of meeting their targets.
          I am enclosing herewith the scanned copy of reciept for your kind perusal. Please help me to get this policy cancelled.

            In[protected] Company send me a reply company ceased my policy amount Rs.11.448.00 due to my non payment of renewal. I am surprised. How it possible.

                I have given a redemption request for my insurance on April 3, 2011. I have not received the amount till date. When I email or contact their representative they come up with excuses that the quality of the scan copy sent from their branch to the head office was poor and it will take another 10 days. This is not my fault and when I ask them to email me this reason for the delay they refuse.

                My honest advise for potential investors would be to stay away from this company.

                  I worked with Birla Sunlife Insurance company for 1 year and left the company on 30th September.2010
                  Company asked to fill the F&F forms and PF form at the time of resignation.

                  I got my F&F settlement in first week Jan 2011 , but did not receive my PF ammount.

                  After 50 times writing and calling these people since Jan 2011, I have not been able to take the clear answer for PF withdrawal status till date(25th April 2011).

                  This is ridiculous, if you can not give us back OUR HARD EARNED money, please do not deduct it from our salary.. we are smart investors in this global environment to invest and save for our future.

                    Dear Sir,
                    This is to inform you that your people has done froud in terms of giving me policy,
                    I've taken policy by your telephonic agent M/S SNOWTEX INVESTMENT LIMITED (Mr.Pratham) ,Advisor Code 001639, the policy detail as he had told me when I've received document it was totally different.I'd gone to your Branch office at Ahmedabad but sales people Mr.Paresh has asked me to talk Mr.B.N.Chaturvedi (Delhi), I had requested him to cancel the policy on 22nd March'2011(Within free lookup period)
                    He told me that I'll get revised policy by next week then you check if not found return the same we will accept without free lookup period even he assured me that free lookup period has been cancel now by IRDA and customer can calcel his policy by 90 days without any charges.
                    But till date I've not got any other documents .On13th April again I've visited to cancel the same but Mr.Vinay (Delhi) has told me that whatever you want to do you can do it your policy will not cancel at any cost

                    Policy detail which was told to me By Mr.B.N.Chaturvedi & Mr.Paresh(who came for collection of my document) is as follows:
                    1-Your policy will be in term of 5 Year only, on 6th year you will receive payment of Rs.347340 against premium of Rs.50000(1st Policy No.[protected] Pay term mentioned 11 year instead of 5 year)

                    2- Your policy will be in term of 5 Year only, on 6th year you will receive payment of Rs.317000 against premium of Rs.50000(2nd Policy No.[protected] Pay term mentioned 20 year instead of 5 year) along with your daughter will give scholership for study in different different class till post gratuation(No where it is mentioned in document now)

                    I'd asked for my complain no also but no one had registered my complain only verbal assurence given till date.
                    My request is to cancel my policy and return the amount of Rs.50000 for each policy which I'd paid and ask your people not to cheat like this to any customer it's uncessary spoiling organisation name.

                    Please do appropriate action in case on urgent basis.

                      I write this complete application to you because i was cheated by a BIRLA SUNLIFE Agent.I am resident of Ambala City(Haryana).My Mother And My Sister Take two insurance policies.But Put Our money In Share Market.Because Of that we face a great loss in our money.When we said that why he do that he said this is company's issue you just have to pay your installments.We pay our full instalments.my mothers insurance is of Rs 1,00,000/- out of which we get only Rs 90,000/-(We Paid Full Instalments) and my sister's insurance is of Rs 2,20,000/- out of which we get only Rs 30,000/-(We Piad Instalments of Rs 60,000/-).He Said If we Suspen Our insurance police company will deduct some money but company deducts amount of Rs 30,000/- It's not a small amount.Please Help us in taking our money back from those cheaters.I will be thankfull to you.

                        I have a policy with Birla Sun Life insurance which I gave for redemption on April 3rd 2011.

                        I was told by a Mr Mahesh at the Birla Office at Kamanahalli, Bangalore that the amount would be deposited within a few days. Its been 15 days and till date I have not received the money due nor have I received any response for the 2 emails I have raised through the birla website.

                        I finally managed to get hold of an executive that says that there was some issue with the quality of the scan/copy of my redemption request that was sent from their branch to their head office (as if thats my fault) and this was causing the delay in paying me out and someone will look into the redemption process.

                        Firstly they charge you too much, then they play hardball when it comes to pay back your money. Simply put stay away from Birla and such houses, stick to a very basic LIC term insurance policy.

                          I have successfully comleted trainng programme for LIC agent and also qualified the written exam in the month Oct-2010 vide URN No. LIC[protected]. However, my license has not been released till date because some time back I got myself registered with Birla Sunlife vide URN No. BSLI[protected] but I have neither attended training programme nor appeared in written exam for Birla Sunlife.In this context, I approached Birla Sunlife for cancellation o[censored]RN issued to me by them but I have got no response.

                          Keeping in view of above,you are requested to suggest me the options/ modalities so that my license for LIC agent can be released.

                            My Name is Kawaljeet Singh residing in Rohini. I had a Birla Sun Life insurance Policy which i had to surrender to due to urgent funds requirement. I had put in the request in first week of March but due to my sign mismatch i had to request again which i did on 31st March. (Please note that this is also when i called up to check the status they told me that it is on hold due to this reason as i didnt received any call.sms,email regarding this. Now its 15th April and again there is no response. I'm extremely extremely extremely disappointed by the way this company has reverted back giving back the money.

                              My Self Yogendra kumar kesharwani issued the insurance with mediclaim from BIRLA SUNLIFE in 2008 and still the policy is in continuation Last year 2010 in month of MAY I felt ill and doctor advised me to get admitted in Hospital and diagnosed Chirrosis of liver then my doctor referred me to SGPGI I was there at about 14-15 days. Still treatment is on progress.
                              When i came from SGPGI i submitted all my Hospital bill, Test report, Medicine bills with fully filled claimed papers.
                              After some days I came to know that my claim is rejected from BIRLA SUNLIFE.
                              I contact with manager of the company in local office at Allahabad. But at last they were also not able to provide my claimed amount. There failure has costed me and my family a lot. That why I am mailing you with lots of hope that you may help us in providing my claim. Sir please try your level best so that me and my family can live without any tension.

                                I am a adviser of your company in udaipur branch . i wrote 1 complain last 3 month before on same matter but i dont get any response from your company on my complain, than no one here who heard our problems and complain than what we do .

                                My Code is AX6080 named Reena khandelwal & i do one policy customer name is Ramesh Khandelwal, Policy no[protected] o[censored]lip plan dated 5 August 2010 but now till date customer dont received his policy bond and due that i ashmed in front of him . No one give any attantion in udaipur branch on my complain .
                                please take it seriously to my complain and solve it as soon as possible . Sir as advisor i face many problem than how we satisfied my customer whenever no one take our problem seriously .I complain & follow up many time in my Udaipur Branch but no one attaned & help us .

                                  My self Akanand Nirmalkar, The Birla Sun Life Insurance Co. Limited. Policy No.[protected]. This policy I have surrended on date 10.12.2010, on your Korba (Chhattisgarh) Branch with my entire original policy document and surrender form to your customer executive Mr. Amit Upadhayay. But still I do not receive any refund amount till date.

                                  I also get information from your Korba branch that they have dispatch all concern document through Overknight Currier with POD NO[protected] on same date, and also they have information of receiving of document on dated 13.12.2010 to respective address. But still the process of surrender is in with heled due to some unknown reason.

                                  So I want to know the suitable reason, why My Policy surrender process is getting delayed with reason and liking to know how much time it will take for the same, So that I can take suitable action regarding it.

                                  I also submitting the scanned copy of my policy document.

                                    I want to register a complaint on birla sunlife insurance company, I had taken a ulip policy from them year 2008 ( policy number[protected] which has three years of lock-in. after completing three year I had requested for a partial withdrawl of 400000 ( fourty thousand rupees) on 10 Feb 2011 by visiting there branch in Vijaynagar, bangalore, as I was facing medical problems, for which I needed the money very urgently for my treatment.

                                    They told me that I would get the money in 15 days, After that I got hospitailized on 24 feb 11, from the hospital I called there helpline number[protected] multiple times on 27 feb, 2nd mar, 5th mar as they told me they are working on my case on a high speed queue and I would get the money in 2-3 days.

                                    Later on mar 11, I recieved a call from there mumbai office the officer name was yogesh, he told me that I need to resubmit my KYC document, the point to be noted in that I never changed my address and I didnt want them to send me cheque for withdrawl, as I had given them the cancelled cheque leaf from my ICICI bank.
                                    Anyway, after that on mar 12 some manager with the name Amrish from vijaynagar branch cell no [protected]/[protected] had sent someone to collect my KYC ,and I was told that in three days I would get my money.

                                    Now this manager is not picking my phone only since two days. Please help this the jungle raaj from these insurance companies. which leave the constomers stranded.

                                    Also, between my request date feb 10 to now mar 18 stock market is also fluctuated very much. who would bear the losses.

                                    I have no idea. Is there any law and order in india. Please help.

                                      I have left the company (Birla Sun Life Insurance) on 22 March 2010. Also submitted the PF transfer details/ forms to the company. Still, Birla Sun Life Insurance is not ready to transfer my PF money. They are giving me excuse that due to technical error, the settlement is delayed for last one year and not ready to commit the timeliness about settlement.
                                      I am totally confused about How to get my hard earned money from such greedy organisation.

                                        This is with regards to my policy Saral Jeevan Life Cvg. The annual premium is 12,206.00 and i have been paying this for 3 years. So I have paid a total amount of 36618.00 however the fund value is only 33215.00. So this policy is a total waste. From the statement i see that every month they are debiting 395.94 + 48.93 = 445.00 which is a total rip off. So in a year they debit 5340.00 which is equal to 44% of my premium. I just could not believe this dirty trick of Birla Sunlife!!! So almost half of the total amount is taken as their charges. This was not mentioned to me when I took the policy. The policy agent was a useless who did not know anything about this. The agent did not tell me about the hidden chgs which is 44 % of my premium amount. I have taken this policy to save incometax and this has caused more loss for me. I would prefer paying 10% or 20% to the government rather than paying this company who cheats people 44% unnecessarily. Just do a search in google with keyword "Saral Jeevan Life Cvg" and all what you get to see is customer complaints. The first 5 links that google gives you is of consumercomplaints link where customers have complained about their cheating policy.

                                        I would request everyone to be careful incase you are plannin to take this policy

                                        I am having similar kind of experience where company is charging 45% of premium on fund allocation, administrative charges etc. Strongly recommend to not buy this policy rather go for FD, LIC policy or similar safe kind of saving schemes.
