I have left the company (Birla Sun Life Insurance) on 22 March 2010. Also submitted the PF transfer details/ forms to the company. Still, Birla Sun Life Insurance is not ready to transfer my PF money. They are giving me excuse that due to technical error, the settlement is delayed for last one year and not ready to commit the timeliness about settlement.
I am totally confused about How to get my hard earned money from such greedy organisation.

    This is with regards to my policy Saral Jeevan Life Cvg. The annual premium is 12,206.00 and i have been paying this for 3 years. So I have paid a total amount of 36618.00 however the fund value is only 33215.00. So this policy is a total waste. From the statement i see that every month they are debiting 395.94 + 48.93 = 445.00 which is a total rip off. So in a year they debit 5340.00 which is equal to 44% of my premium. I just could not believe this dirty trick of Birla Sunlife!!! So almost half of the total amount is taken as their charges. This was not mentioned to me when I took the policy. The policy agent was a useless who did not know anything about this. The agent did not tell me about the hidden chgs which is 44 % of my premium amount. I have taken this policy to save incometax and this has caused more loss for me. I would prefer paying 10% or 20% to the government rather than paying this company who cheats people 44% unnecessarily. Just do a search in google with keyword "Saral Jeevan Life Cvg" and all what you get to see is customer complaints. The first 5 links that google gives you is of consumercomplaints link where customers have complained about their cheating policy.

    I would request everyone to be careful incase you are plannin to take this policy

    I am having similar kind of experience where company is charging 45% of premium on fund allocation, administrative charges etc. Strongly recommend to not buy this policy rather go for FD, LIC policy or similar safe kind of saving schemes.

      Dear Dignitary,

      I am Policy Holder of Birla Sunlife Insurance Co. Ltd,
      Name: Gold Plus, Policy No.[protected],
      Client ID:[protected] Owner Name: Dilip Kumar Sharma ,

      Currently i want to surrender the policy , but the company administration and made it more complicated and hanged the process since one month indicating cheat over the customer when asked for refunds.
      I had made vis-a-vis step to process the application:

      1) I had Lost the policy document so i had requesting for duplicate one by submitting a indemnity bond and application to Bhopal Head Office on 28th Jan. 2011
      2) I had made a inquiry to the customer care and being assured to receive the document in 5 working days.
      3) As it didn't happened i made dozens of mails and calls to customer care and they told me that it is dispatched on 9th Feb 2011.
      4) Besides that they were unable to tell me the Docket No. or Courier name of the dispatched document,
      Hence it was a fake assurance.
      5) i waited for the document but i haven't received it after 4 weeks of dispatch of document meanwhile i had made several calls to customer services , Bhopal head office but they cant resolve the issue ,

      6)Being a PhD student i am mentally harassed, i had lost 6000 rupees due to fall in market along this time , lost my energy and time for such a filthy investment who try to make excuses when asked for refunds.

      Hereby i request to take a strong action against Birla Sunlife Insurance Company Ltd. who is is earning profits by ruining customer relations and trust , and a company who cannot assure the appropriate service how can they assure the LIFE INSURANCE.
      Hope to get action at earliest so that i can be happy to belong to a country where justice still exist.

        I have taken out a ulip with the above company and i was shocked to know that their anna nagar branch was closed during my visit on 02.03.2011 and there were no further details about their new address or anything and i am left helpless.

        If the Birlasunlife insurance company comes across this notice let them take care of the situation or else I am proceeding against them in the court of law fro proper recovery wit hcost for the carelessnes and lethargic nature of attitude shown to the public at large.

          Dear Relevant,
          This is in reference of my policy no.[protected]Freedom 58) and complaint on customercare no.[protected] complaint no.[protected] given by miss. Priyanka) on dated[protected] time- 15.40 pm indian time.
          In detail..
          I took a policy from birla sunlife on[protected] as single premium of rs.50000/- , for which i paid 50000/- through cheque no.003670/P.N.B/[protected]. I received my policy doc. in july 2009, when I read that document I knew that is a regular premium policy, so i contact birla sunlife Meerut branch, they told me that you not need to pay 50000/- rs. regularly, you can pay only 10000/-rs. as 2nd & consequent year premium because of reducing premium facility which is in built in this policy. So they made me agree to do so.
          I am a retired person of 71 years of age so I have no source of income, on second year 2010 I arrange 10000/- very tightly and paid by cash in Birla sunlife insurance meerut branch on dated[protected], time 13.04 pm indian time, against receipt no. 22860399 & policy no.[protected] with my address proof and a application on revival of my policy and a form of reducing premium facility duly signed by me.
          But on[protected], time 11.46 am Indian time from phone no.[protected] , I received a call on my second mobile no [protected], She told me that my payment of rs 10000/- are sending back to me because of non premium reducing feature in my policy.
          Now I want to ask only one thing that if there is no premium reducing facility then why Birlasunlife accept my 10000/-rs as second year premium, and after using 5 month why they are sending me back.
          To see this Fraud I am very Depressed and not feeling well, so please help me to return me my 50000/- first year premium & 10000/-rs second year premium which I deposited (Total 60000/-rs.) with bank interest of related period.

            As per the PF statement I am suppose to receive Rs.40241/- towards PF amount, whereas the cheque sent by Birla Sunlife is Rs.36096/-. I called up the employee customer care but they are saying that it is been deducted towards the taxes, but in the statement there is no deduction towards tax , I would like to know why there is difference of Rs.4145/- in the amount paid to me.

              THE COMPANY ASKED ME TO PAY MY PREMIUM BY 27.01.2011. I PAYED THE PREMIUM BY 24.01.2011,THROUGH ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD ND I GOT A RECEIPT SAYING THAT THE SERVER OF THEIR COMPANY WAS DOWN SO THEY CANT COMENT ON THE PAYMENT WHETHER IT HAS BEEN RECEIVED OR NOT AND I HAVE TO CHECK MY BANK FOR THE DEBIT AND AS MY LAST DAY WAS ON 27TH AND I DIDNT GET ANY INFO FRM ICICI I WENT TO BIRLA OFFICE AND ASKED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME TO ISSUE A CHEQUE FOR 24,996 AND I DID THAT , THEN THE NEXT DAY I CAME TO KNOW THE AMOIUNT HAS BEEN TAKEN FRM BOTHE BANKS ,ICICI AND SYNDICATE. AND THEN I CALLED THEM TO REPAY MY CREDIT CARD PAYMENT BUT UNTIL NOW NOTHING HAPPENED. I CALLED THEM NEARLY 10-15 TIMES

                Sir,
                My pan no is: AZRPK 5432 E, I have seen my status is ur pan dispatched on 19-MAR-2008.It completed above than five months .But i not recieved so many problems from my organization.And also i required my pan card for other personal works.how can i pay my 'TAX' with this type of service.You will need TAX, we will need pancard.
                So, i requwst to you please kindly give me respone about my pancard.

                Birla sunlife insurance company limited — Not received any policy document

                I Taken A life Insurance policy on 24-april-2009 from Birla Sunlife Insurance Company Limited.plan name-Dream Plan on Half Yearly Premium Mode. App.No:- A24045414. on the name of sonal (Life Assured).
                Address:H.no-96 sector-14 urban estate karnal.

                But till date today I have not recieved any policy documents.against this I have launched number of complaints on the company toll free number but I have not got any response from company side the compalint which was launched.
                1. dated-14.05.2009 complaint no[protected].
                2.dated-21.05.2009 complaint no.[protected].

                All the time they use to say your policy documents has been dispached to your branch but when I use to confirm from branch they use to say we have not recieved any policy documents.against this they have launched a complaint also. Any when I have confirmed from karnal branch they use to say we have not recieved any policy documents.I am getting very much harassed and not getting any response from company side.
                plese provide me justice.

                  I have taken an insurance policy through Citi bank credit card, it was issed on 31st october 2010. but I didn't received documents yet. I have contacted agent Ashwini ([protected]), Rajeev ([protected]), Puneet ([protected]) Relationship manager at Birla Sun Life & Customer care many times but didn't get my documents. Please cancel my policy & refund the amount with interest. I am very dsappointed with Birla Sunlife services.

I have submitted my documents to Birla Sun life office for partial money withdrawal 5 month back but still I don't get that document.

                          Hi,

                          My sister had taken a Universal Health Plan from Birla Sunlife Insurance. I had a harrowing time dealing with these guys-They are down right pathetic with there services. Just to share with every one I'm putting down the details of the events:


                          1) 25th Jan 08:45 AM documents sent from Fortis hospital-Bangalore for cashless hospitalization.

                          2) 26th Jan-Republic day holiday, so no movement on the process

                          3) 27th we were told that cashless facility cannot be availed.

                          4) Two days - 27-28th Jan we din’t get any response from Birla/TTK as to why a cashless facility cannot be availed.

                          5) I spoke with the following set of people - (Bhushan/Chirag/Shariq/Usha/Ganesh/Mitesh/Shariq/Gayatri etc etc) & the last call lasted for 40 mins to get thru, and I did not get a logical or a sensible response once again.

                          6) Following are the responses which I received from the people mentioned above:

                          a. Send scanned copy of the policy & last premium paid receipt

                          b. Duration of the ailment

                          c. First consultation papers by doctor

                          d. Pre-planned not possible in this policy

                          e. Get the required docs & we will get approval of cashless

                          f. Someone said that she needs to get admitted in the hospital for cashless

                          g. Got admitted on 1st feb 2011 & we get the following response today:


                          Patient needs to be admitted in hospital for 24 hrs & post that only they will process for cashless-though no guarantee for the same.

                          What is evident here is that no person answering calls is equipped to do so and in my experience even sounds qualified to do so. Each and every person lacked the knowledge of the product they were dealing with and had no clear understanding of the terms and conditions of the policies.


                          I had also written to the Chief Grivience Officer on the 28th Jan 2011, and am still awaiting a response to my mail.
                          Finally sent a mail to Mr. Jayant Dua who supposedly is the CEO-but yet awaiting a response from him as well-SUBSTANIATES THE FACT THAT ITS AN ABSOLUTE BUREACRATIC SET UP-IT STEMS FROM THE TOP

                          SUGGEST DO NOT TAKE BIRLA SUNLIFE POLICIES EVER. IN THE PAST I HAVE AVAILED OF CASHLESS FACILITIES(WITH OTHER CO'S) & IT DIDNT TAKE ME MORE THAN 2 HRS TO GET REQUIRED APPROVALS AS AGAINST THESE GUYS WHO TOOK AGES.

                            I have a policy[protected] with Birla Sun Life Insurance Company. I have surrendered the policy on 24/12/2010 and there was a signature mismatch, then submitted the signature verification proof on 11/01/2011.
                            As per the Birla Sun life Insurance Company processing the surrendered policy will be taking 15 working day's to complete but till today it's nearly 1month 5 day's the status they provide to me is in progress.
                            I have register many complete to the respective department for the completing the process. But till today they inform me that the process is still in progress. They don't even provide the exist date of completion.
                            Please can anyone suggest me how should take it further.

                              Dear Sir,
                              Myself Vijay Rawat having policy of Birla Sunlife no.[protected]. I have surrendered the policy on 3rd Jan 2011 at Noida Branch. I was told that the payment shall be transferred in my Axis Bank account no. [protected] in 15 days. But after 15 days when I haven’t received any amount in my account I called customer care on 21st Jan 2011 and asked them about the status of my policy. By customer care I came to know that by 28th or 31st Jan 2011 I shall be getting the refund in my account as it takes 15 working days to get the amount transferred there were some holidays in that period.

                              On 28th Jan 2011 I again called to the customer care and than I came to know that there is mismatch of signature and because of the mismatch the policy has not been processed for the surrender. I get astounded and asked them why they didn’t told me this earlier but there was no satisfactory answer from there side. I was asked to send the signature attested copy from my Axis bank and to submit in the Noida branch. On 29th Jan 2011 I again reconfirm with the customer care regarding the submission of signature attested form and they confirmed that I have to submit the signature attested copy from my bank and to submit at the Nodia Branch. On 29th Jan 2011 I submitted the signature attested copy at Noida Branch.

                              On 1st Feb 2011 I again got the call from Birla Sun life Mumbai office and they told me that the signature attested form which I submitted is not applicable as I have to fill the signature change form and submitted or email to them. I asked to customer care that why they didn’t tell me on 29th Jan 2011 when I again re-confirm with them what to do. They just said sorry. Also the people at Noida branch didn’t ask me to fill up the signature change form when I submit the attested copy of my signature.

                              Due to this I have lost my Rs 6000/- as the value of the fund on 3rd Jan 2011 was approx Rs 183000/- and today the value is Rs 177000/-.
                              Please look into this matter at the earliest.

                                I did a request to surrender the policy on 31 Dec 2010 at your branch in RAJ Nagar Ghaziabad. I completed all the formalities that your attendant asked.

                                Now after fifteen days of redemption and surrender request you are asking me to submit address change request KYC form. What is this non - sense. I did not ask you to change my address. I did request to surrender the policy and refund the amount in my bank account i.e. registered with you. I also submitted a cancelled cheque with that also.

                                One more interesting story, If you don’t have my current address than how you sent me this letter for KYC . If you really need KYC form for surrender the policy than your attendant should ask me at same time when I did request to surrender.

                                I know you are doing it intentionally to make the payment delay as usual.

                                I did request to surrender because I need money urgently. I hereby request you again to credit the amount with calculation of 31dec2010 NAV directly into my Bank account that is mentioned in surrender and application form without any delay.

                                  I wasted my money by investing in Birla Sun Life. You Don't !
                                  A True Story - My Policy Number[protected]

                                  I invested I Got
                                  on Nov2006 Rs. 11814.60 Nothing Till the day
                                  Nov2007 Rs. 11814.60
                                  Nov2008 Rs. 11814.60
                                  Nov2009 Rs. 11814.60
                                  Total = Rs. 47258.40

                                  Now after completion of 4 years the value of funds is around Rs. 42500/- . Means less than my real investment. On surrender they will charge penalty also.

                                  I requested to company to surrender the policy and refund money on 31Dec2010. I submitted all Original documents and a cancel cheque to pay through ESC into same bank account.
                                  I have not received money back after repeated reminder.

                                    I am policy holder with BSLI since oct 2008 and it was the biggest mistake of my life in finiancial planning.
                                    Their customer service is worst in class. There are lot of issues i am facing with them below are few of them:
                                    1) They change mode of premium without asking customer as i am a victim of this policy. When i contacted contact centre at[protected], customer care executive do not have any explaination and thus register my request giving some 12345 request no. This request will remain pending for weeks and none responds.
                                    2) To my surprise on 1nd jan 10 i received a letter from BSLI in which there was a intimitation that my policy has been lapsed due to non payment of premium on time and when i contacted them they told that it has happened by some system error as my policy never went lapse. same story repeated they gave me a request no for explaining what went wrong but till date(26th jan) nobody from their end reverted.
                                    3) On 11th jan again i received a letter from them statingthat as per your request details of nominee are updated whearas i never ever posted any such request. Again story same they did not responded to my quarry via contact centre till date.
                                    4) The policy which i hold is BSLI saral jeevan where i can switch funds (out of eight) any number of time freeof cost so i placed a request for fund switch on 16th jan but till date the switch has not happened. and still ste sory is same that request no is pending.
                                    Today if i calculate then my fund value has grown -4%.
                                    To summarize BSLI has tortured me in every possible way it can.

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        I apply Term Insurance policy from Birla Sunlife Insurance co. for sum assured 15,00,000 and for that i give them Cheque worth of Rs. 22,068/- and they debit the same amount from my saving account on 21/11/2010.
                                        But on 27th of Dec i got mail from the company and they mentioned in their mail that during issuance of the policy they suggest me some medical test which i had already completed but in one test report test name HBA1c they mentioned some problam notice as "Accept Life at 4.78/1,000 and ESA at 1.5x in V/O Elevated Liver Enzymes" and for this problem they demanded Rs. 5,435.40 paise extra premium per year.
                                        I was shocking to hear about this problem and rush to Dr. Path Lab at NOIDA centre and once again i did my HBA1c test on dt. 28th Dec. at my own cost and when i want to know about the test from the laboratory people they said this test meant for any type of Sugar nor meant for Liver and other etc. Next day i went to Birla Sunlife NOIDA Sector-18 brance to submit my medical report and they give me my customer interaction id as[protected] for all future correspondence.
                                        The proposer name who offered me this policy Mr. Rohit Sapra and his Officer Mr. Sunil Prashar whose contact detail as under:-
                                        1. Mr. Rohit Sapra cell No. [protected] and his eamil rohit.[protected]@birlasunlife.com and Mr. Sunil cell no. [protected].
                                        I am trying to know about my policy from both of these official but axcept fake assurances they give me nothing and they are also violating my phone calls.
                                        Therefore i had left no option to contact you.
                                        Therefore i am requesting you to kindly take immediate and strict action towards this irresponsible behaviour and before issuing the policy how they can debited amount from my saving account.

                                        birla insurance — misuse of my papers

                                        On 10 December 2008, i received a courier from you company'Birla Sun Life Insurance' in which there was a policy(term plan 25) numbered as[protected] in my

                                        name & date of issue from birla sun life's chandigarh office dated is 5/12/08 insurance adviser code- AC2632(Dinesh Kumar) application number is[protected].

                                        I have never done such or requested for any type of policy from your company.one of your agency manager 'Ajeet Singh' from panipat branch vsited my residence

                                        last year & convinced me to join him in your company's business as a commission agent & collected my identification proof(the copie's of passport & ration card

                                        etc) & Rs. 700 hundred cash for the exammination i was suppose to give in karnal but just after two hour's i called him back that i am not intersted in doing this

                                        bussiness due to lack of time & requested him to return my all paper's & money.He told me that he will do so whenever he makes a next visit in my area.Having faith on

                                        him i never thought of putting any pressures on him.

                                        Now when i have gone through these papers received through 'blue dart courier' i see those papers & my passport size picture which were previously given by me to' Mr.

                                        Ajeet Singh' .Also someone from your company has fraudently made my signatures.Also i would like to bring this to your notice that i have never ever came in touch with the

                                        adviser named 'dinesh kumar'.

                                        Now i want you to strictly enquire this matter properly from the above mentioned people as well as return my all the papers with money with in 15 days.if you don't do so

                                        than i will report the whole matter about your company to media as well as take a legal action against you.

                                        birla insurance — Medical report

                                        I have taken insurance from the Birla Insurance company ( sun life ), with policy I have received my medical report.

                                        Medical report is not readable since the original is reduced scanned and sent me a photo copy.

                                        I wrote to them for this but they have again send me the same copy.

                                        Can I get it again ?

                                        2. one report they have put standard of ADA ( American diabetes association ) i am surprised, Why not Indian diabetes Association ? since My insurance is taken here, , and paying in rupee not in dollar and company is also in india and in future settlement will also take place in india too.

                                        I would like to have expert opinion on it.

                                        please give me your comment on it too

                                        why we follow ADA when it comes to standard Are we lacking somewhere in Medical ? i think we are the best and better as far as it comes to providing medical support.
