Amount is been deducted from Provident Fund

As per the PF statement I am suppose to receive Rs.40241/- towards PF amount, whereas the cheque sent by Birla Sunlife is Rs.36096/-. I called up the employee customer care but they are saying that it is been deducted towards the taxes, but in the statement there is no deduction towards tax , I would like to know why there is difference of Rs.4145/- in the amount paid to me....

Being a layman on the term 'investment', I procured the same policy No.[protected] with an assurance of 100 % market allocation. Recently I have seen the fund value which has gone 1/4 of the premium amount. Irony of the situation is that Birla agent cheated me and placed the policy on 20 Years term. I feel cheated via Birla Saral Jeewan. Don't know whether the nature of this policy is in IRDA's knowledge or not. However...
