I suganchandra jain, i. P. No.3955256 was admitted in bombay hospital indore on 21 may 2017 - bed no.1064-dr. Name-vivek jha. On doctor's advise, his assistant staff / doctor did the procedure for putting urinary catheter. I got lot of bleeding during this procedure and i was totally dis-satisfied with the procedure performed. I mentioned to dr. Vivek jha, who satisfied me with the answer that some time it happens, like this. Not getting satisfied with the answer of dr. Vivek jha, i covered this point in my suggestions / feedback given to the hospital at the time of my discharge from the hospital on 23 may 2017. Most probably because of this i am now infected with "pseudomonas aeruginosa infection (Nosocomial infection) & klebsiella pneumoniae infections ssp pneumoniae (Esbl). Doctors are treating me with no hope, as there are no antibiotics available to control this type of infections. Please advise me further course of action. It is a serious matter.

Like to inform you that, my wife Ranjana Gilda admitted in Bombay Hospital, on 27 th under the supervision of Dr Turel on 10 th floors - Bed no 1070. She operated for the Cerebellar hernia.on 28 th in NSOT, patient transferred to NSOT area 8.30 Hrs & actual OT started at 9.15 hrs, completed by 13.15 hrs, after that stictches done till 14.15. & then ask him to wait one hrs. it means actual OT used for 5 hrs & billed charged for 7 hrs,
There is no prize list for the charges for all the tests are going to carried out in hospital. Doctor charges are also very high, & for the anthologist charges are also heavy ( 1/3 of the main doctor).
In Thyrocare, full blood test ( app. 64 items) -- testing charges are Rs 1400 /- but in this hospital the charges are very huge app-7000/- for the few test, .
As well as ECG charges, ECO charges, X-ray charges are also high ( 3 times more than the out side pathology).

It means, after the admission of patient, hospital starting the loolting, ( Pationt ke majburi ka fayada ootatha hai & Loot chalu rakhata hai). This way spoiling the Image/ name of the Bombay Hospital.

After charging for all small-small items & over above charging SERVICE CHRAGES----20 %, which is very huge, same is not reamburanced by the any insurance company. Ultimately patient will pay from his pockets after having the Mediclaim policy.
Either Hospital to minimize the service charges or include in price list.
Price list to be Displayed at registration counter, & tentative Budgets / estimate to be given to patient.
Assistant doctor/ jrs doctors rounds are not frequent, they will visit once in 24 hrs
Doctor charges not to depend on the class of admission, but it should be on his quality, Experience, & qualification ( Education).

Hygiene not maintained in Hospital. In ward/ patient room, wet mopping with phenyl only once day, it should be minimum thrice a day.
Lift facility is very-very poor, Lift men carrying the lift at 14 th/ 15 th floors but not coming down immediately., so patients & attendant to waits for longer time for any work/ tests.

For the 6 days ( Friday after noon- to Thursday morning), in twine sharing room- total medical expences app 302000/- out of that,
Room Charges--26000/-, Doctor Charges- 84000+28000, OT room Charges- 44000/-, other charges ( ECO, Xray< pathology & medicines used in OT)-- 82000/- Medicine Charges ( from Pharmacy 16000/- Service charges--48000

pl look to the same & do the needful, make the provision how we should get the service charges refund.)

    Thanks,
    S gilda.

      Sir/ Madam,
Myself, Mr. Suraj Mulkhraj Sehgal, a very dejected customer of your hospital. I am writing this you after a very sad demise of my father, Mr. Mulkhraj Sehgal in your hospital. To brief you, my father was undergoing a treatment at Cardinal Gracious memorial hospital. With some expert guidance, I was asked to refer the case to Dr. Shrirang Bichu (Panel Doctor- Bombay Hospital). We approached Dr.Shrirang Bichu on 29 November 2016 at his clinic in your hospital. After referring the reports to him, we were asked to shift the patient to your hospital. With great confidence on your goodwill and ray of hope we shifted Mr. Mulkhraj to your hospital ICU taking prior appointment and consulting Dr.Shrirang Bichu on the current status of the patient that time. On 1 Dec 2016 Mr.Mukhraj Sehgal (Patient) was shifted to Bombay Hospital in the early hours of the morning at 7:15 hours. While admitting my father was confident by himself hoping to recover looking at the current condition. We paid the deposit amount of Rs. 60000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only) as per hospital norms.
Now, the treatment at your hospital starts with the RMO on duty and the concern nurses start the procedure. Assistant doctors of Dr. Bichu attended the patient at 8 am. We were informed of Dr. Bichu will visit asap. Around 11; 30 am, Dr. Bichu Visited the patient and after thorough check up, he informs us it’s also a case of cardiologist, some tests are to be carried out and DR. Anil Sharma (Cardiologist) will visit the patient sooner. We had tremendous faith in the doctor and again to mention the goodwill of Bombay Hospital. The day was passing by, Assistant doctor of Dr. Anil Sharma visited the patient, and 2D echo tests were done as informed. Some other tests were carried out, were informed later. The day passed by but no specialist doctor arrived the bed of my father as committed. After 8 pm, I spoke with my father, fed him his meal ( didn’t know it was his last meal of life).
Day two, 2 December 2016, all was looking around as another good morning, my father (the patient) was about to be sponged as scheduled. We, were suddenly informed about some complication raised and scene is terrifying for me with nurses and doctors pumping his heart beats. Few minutes later I was informed that he is dead. Such was a sudden sad demise of my father in your hospital where my faith was crushed to death. No specialist doctors visited until his last breath. After the death, Dr. Shrirang Bichu (Renowned doctor of your Panel) visited the scene and tried to console me. To my knowledge, all this had happen due to careless approach of the hospital.
Worst, to bring to your notice is I was hurried and pushed to billing counter not knowing my mental stage at that time, where I was waiting for my relatives. The accounts department produced me the bill where the deposit amount of Rs. 60000/- was almost adjusted without any clarification or reports or proofs. Just mentioning bed charges, some prime tests and medicines (no clarification). Such is the worst experience of mine in a renowned hospital of yours.
My concern, I wonder people look up to you as God who gives another life. Such type of carelessness which cost a life of a person is pure commercial business act by your hospital, not a trust that helps the poor and the needy.
Now, all these explanation doesn’t mean I expect sympathy from you. I need a through explanation on this case. Expecting you to revert me on this earliest. Waiting for a prompt and positive reply from you, before me taking any further action on this issue.

      Suraj Mulkhraj Sehgal.

Amrapurkar, Then i walkin to talk to Dr.Amarapurkar. As I started to tell my problems, He told me pay 2000/- very rudely, He even not listed my single word . Today I feel very insulting in Bombay hospital. And I return back to my home with out taking Dr Amarapurpar consultation .This is not a matter of money but he insulted me very badly .There is no proper rules in Bombay hospital, Every docter has its own rule .Most of the docter here are money minded, they did not even care for patient .

In patient are forced to buy medicines from in-house hospital pharmacy. Patients relatives are given only requisition number on a paper chit, without any details of medicines.
Things like diapers for patients, which are easily available outside at much cheaper price @Rs. 30, are sold @Rs. 150 per piece.
As per Supreme Court order, no hospital should force patients to buy from in-house pharmacy. Please take adequate actions against the hospital practice.
Relatives are asked to wait for hours to get the medicines.

My wife got operated on 27th August 2016 and there was no mention of any surcharge or related fine print additional costs by the Hospital authorities to us. Post surgery I have raised a huge protest against the Hospital Authorities in writing and have also issued a legal notice to the Trustees to stop this illegal charge. No patients are liable to pay additional cost over and above the medical fees as prescribed by the hospital.

Some of the doctors here are very careless. They don't follow their own time table. I waited for about 3 hours to meet a doctor. His time was 12 afternoon but he came at 2:30 pm. This is very disgusting. Being a doctor they should be punctual. People come from all over the country just to get a good treatment here and they are just interested in money. If they are giving a appointment, they should be particular about it.

To, Whomsoever it may concern Bombay Hospital 6th April 2015 Sub: Misbehaviour with patient’s Family member Sir/Madam, This is to bring to your notice, an unfortunate incident that took place in Bombay Hospital, Indore(m.p). I vaishali Bundela was in the Hospital with my Mother on 2/4/15 for her dialysis, there was a mayhem in the unit amidst her dialysis. I needed some help and thus went to call the Nurse, when I reached there to ask for help an employee Mr.Avinash misbehaved with me. He rudely insulted me in front of many patients, other helpers and visitors. I was aghast and pointed out that his way was not appropriate, to this he said that what he had said to cause disrespect. At that moment though I could not inform the authorities but after coming home I called back at the hospital and inquired about the employee. Coincidently the man on the phone was the employee who had ill treated me, I lost my temper when instead of apologising he threatened and challenged me to go do whatever I wished to. This has caused distress to me and I have been mentally disturbed. We trust Bombay hospital and have always recommended it to people as the best hospital, but after this distasteful incident I have been in serious doubts about your services at hospital. I hope you understand that we with the patient at hospital are too distressed and if your employees instead of being cordial will misbehave and impolitely treat us we would have to take an action. Kindly take an action against Mr. Avinash or I would have to personally take legal action against Bombay hospital Indore for misbehaving and public shaming me. Do respond to my mail as soon as possible as my course of action depends on your action. Regards, Vaishali Bundela [protected]

Bombay hospital has charged me a surcharge which was not reimbursed by the insurance company. First I thought its a normal process. When I went for further treatment of my son at Lilavati hospital they didn't charged me any surcharge. Which looks strange to me. I think Bombay hospital is doing something illegal here.

BOMBAY HOSPITAL IS CHARGING HEAVY SURCHARGE WHICH IS TOO HIGH... MY FATHER IS TAKING MEDICAL TREATMENT THERE TILL NOW I HAVE PAID AROUND 20000 RS AS SURCHARGE WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER MEDICLAIM. I HAVE CHECKED WITH OTHER HOSPITALS as WELL but they not charging any surcharge on bills. I THINK BOMBAY HOSPITAL IS TAKING ILLEGALY. WHEN I ASKED THE CONCERN ABOUT THIS CHARGES THEY SAID IT'S A PROCEDURE. I THINK THIS SHOULD STOP FOR PUBLIC WELFARE AND PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE MEDICLAIM FACILITY.
