Refund for Interior work

On 13th Nov I have paid Rs25000 with project id - 1525754 booking no[protected] but the company did not start the work and crossed the delivery line given as 17th Dec 2022 for a TV Unit and Wardrobe. TV Unit will be delivered by 30th Nov Mr Danish told before making payment. After making payment he started telling can not deliver and they can deliver on 17th Dec 2022. This is fraud company they never shown any interest to start my work...

Livspace team asked us to pay 25k INR to commence our home interiors project. However, they failed to meet our design expectations and response was really pathetic from their end . Due to multiple designer changed, my project got delayed and output was not that we expected. So finally we decided to ask them for refund but now they say to buy anything of that budget. They have overpriced listed products and also the catalog has very limited options. Team is very stubborn arrogant and unprofessional.
Due to their lethargic startegy and planning of delivering project, my 3.5 months are wasted and now I have to bear homeloan and rent cost both. If they can't refund my money they should pay me for harassing us with multiple calls to retain us (we have already backed out once but they arranged new senior designer to deliver the project ) who eventually gave us drawings only with measurements but refused to visit the actual project site.

    Livspace replaced tiles in bathroom and its not even three months, there is a water leakage in to the walls. Very very bad service. They are not responding to calls or emails. Local technicians are better.

      Cheated for more than 2L in the billing and not refunding the money

      Our project with them started in last December. In the first meeting itself they have made us to pay booking amount of 90K, estimating the project cost as 9L. But final quotation given was 15L. We were thinking that spending on what they have promised was okay and proceeded with 15Lakhs(100 %) amount in March 2022. Since they upon so many follow-ups they have given liveable flat in August. But not taking care of the pending works. No response...

      Unfortunately for us, we are customers of Livspace. We ordered two bathrooms and and kitchen from them in Delhi. The quality of work performed by Livspace employees is far from the quality of even public toilets. All deadlines have long expired 3 times. Our requirements to correct the mistakes is not fulfilled. Their reputation should be at stake all of the India. A lot of talks and meetings and zero work is the MOTO of Livspace.

          Hi Sir/Madam,
          We booked the Livspace for our home renovation and they took Rs 80, 000/- as booking amount. Before the booking I clearly mentioned what is to be done in my flat, Complete Flat layout plan or Floor plan was also shared with them. But now they are increasing their quote and demanding for more payment. Now I am asking for my refund they are denying. According to them within 48 hrs you should cancel but it is not possible because after one month they shown me what they are doing when I asked it is totally changed from the decided work they said you have to pay extra for that, why should I pay extra amount when everything was decided.

            I have booked Project with Livespace on 14th August 2022, we are been following with team since then for every details and not getting proper response as even they are not capable to arrange meetings as per the given time line and everytime getting excuses as person is not avalible at this time, as it is not getting for the first time several times for every discussion meeting we are facing such issues, as on Today 8th October we have final kick up meeting which we already informed in whatsapp group created by the livespace team still today they ask for another time, and only giving excuese so need to take strick action againg such organisation as they are taking advance payment and then delaying the services and not ready to refund the amount.

Soon after the consultation, the Designer didn't give ANY TIME to thinkbut forced me to pay the advance of Rs. 44, 000 for just 4Lks quoting on the first day itself. I was trapped here completely because later on I came to know they are not worthy at all.

              This designer has very poor knowledge...

              I, visited the Senapati Bapat Road, Pune branch on 31st July 2022 and provided detailed requirements to the design team for the designing of my 3 BHK home in Undri Pune. I was provided an estimated quote of Rs 9.69 lakhs that day, basis which I paid a booking amount of Rs. 45, 000. After a month of meetings, measurements and validation, the quote suddenly rocketed. I was provided a final quotation of Rs 16.26 lakhs (on 30th August 2022), which is 67% higher than the initial quote. Hence, I was unable to proceed. Since the booking was done with a budget of about 10 lakhs rupees in mind (and which I was led to believe would be met in every meeting that I had with the Livspace team), I did not find it conducive to proceed further. Because of the huge difference in the initial and estimated quote, I asked for a refund of my booking amount, which was denied. Hence, I have no other option but to seek legal remedy against these fraudulent practices.

                Hi,

                I have initiated the initial quote from livspace and booking provided booking amount in the month of June 2022. With initial quote validation the costing was not suitable to progress with design phase and immediately, I have requested for cancellation. But since then, not getting proper communication and refund,

                I have dropped mails and communication expected over chat regularly, but no proper response seen except excuse given for delay

                  I regret to inform you that I am totally annoyed & dissatisfied by the people Chennai starting from the designers to production people. We paid the booking amount & 50% of the project cost in July & were promised that the house will be ready by Aug end. I was shocked to receive a call from the designer to come for a kick off meeting in person.
                  All these days we were told that the designs have gone for production but to our astonishment the measurements were taken on 15th Aug 2022. We stay in Bangalore and want to shift to our own house in Chennai.we are postponing our shifting because of you people & paying rent unnecessarily in Bangalore with no income
                  Designers are not giving us any suggestions & options. We have to stick to what they say.
                  It’s getting me mad & we are planning to travel to USA by mid week of October.we thought of shifting settling & then move to US for a 6 month stay
                  Please take necessary action immediately & compensate

                    I have booked in livspace for my interior work. They forced me to book immediately. One I had paid amount no call or no updates about project. I have called them for measurement after many followup's they have sent me quotation after week with removing 30% of my work. As the estimation amount and after measurement amount was jot matching I decided to quit. Now they are saying non refundable. When booking the amount they told it is refundable. Please be aware of such activities and don't ever pay amount if they ask you to book immediately they will say they will give free products but they increase your budget later.

                      The project was supposed to complete by April end. Its been more than 2 and half months and the project is still not completed.

                      Custom work quality is the worst I have ever seen. And they take 100% amount before the modules are even delivered to you.

                      They don’t even respond to escalations. I got call after 7 days and was assured that the work will complete in next few days but nothing happened.

                      This company is a cheat. They have more managers and customer service ppl than the ones who actually work. And these customer service also vanish the moment we raise a complaint.

                      We had a pretty bad experience. Overcharged us.. looted us .. charged us for granites that they reused for us, did not deliver good quality, took loooooootof time to complete work that too not completed, bad designer, designer don’t understand what we say and finally we ourselves gave the design but they charged for that too, they have spoiled the doors, hinges, cupboards, glasses, everything. For everything their solution is only using toner and using plaster of Paris cement. They did the screwing in the cupboards without even removing the price tags and the plastic coverings. And neither could I take it . They did not do any cleaning. Hinges that they have used have corroded in just a week. And the hinges started coming out just 2 days after so called delivery.

                      They do not even issue the warranty certificates but claim in the beginning that there is a 10 year warranty. Their tone totally changes after they start demolishing. and then after they take the payment. They have not even give us a physical bill copy.

                      PLS DONOT TRUST LIVSPACE. They are a bunch of cheats. I regret whyIwent to them now.

                        I recently had my two bedrooms painted from livspace, they appointed a civil engineer and a contractor with labors under him respectively. They didn't carry proper accessories like ladder, plastics which are essential for the work, half of the items were provided by me as a result of which the wooden flooring our house was damaged because of the coloring, it became dull from the original color. Moreover the work didn't have any kind of finishing it was patchy and on complaining same the contractor kept saying the paint is still wet so appearing patchy and they just left. After that i got a feedback message to rate the work quality so i gave them 7/10 . After that day this contractor kept calling me and my father to change rating to 10/10, and this would badly impact their salary.We said we will change it once you redo the work but he kept troubling saying i will do it but at first change the rating so we had to but no one from that day turned up for correcting the work, On calling the company half the time they don't know what kind of work was done, everytime you have to provide new details to new people on call centre. it's frustating and no action is taken yet.

                          We had few small issues in the work delivered from livspace. Even before moving we are seeing a lot of cracks or damaged work.
                          We dint check the quality of work during handover, we just had signed understanding that the scope is complete.
                          The study table had one leg cracked, one unit of Aquaguard storage is cracked, the wardrobe racks are misaligned, wicker baskets doesn’t open smoothly. Plus many more.

                          Now after a lot of follow up they agreed for one claim which is the study table leg.
                          Rest wherever we need fixing or replacement the company won’t entertain.
                          Would request the necessary intervention.

                            I had placed an order with Livspace for my home’s wardrobe solution. We discussed all the details and the Drawings were finalised mutually with designer *Sumeer Ahmed* of Livspace and the modular sign off document (final agreed drawings of furniture) were created and order was placed.
                            So the agreed terms were clear, after the entire payment the wardrobes will be installed as per the documents.
                            Payment was done and the materials arrived at site.
                            The installation was done by Livspace team and the project manager assigned was Mr.Mir Khadir Ali.

                            The issue for which I raised concern was with the installation. It was not done according to the Modular sign off document which was agreed upon.
                            I had contacted Khadir Ali multiple times regarding this and requesting to rectify the mistake but in return I just got false promises of the work to be done in few days. I had contacted the customer support team (Mr. Mukendra Nair) to assist me as this issue was not being resolved and more than 30 days had passed after raising concern.
                            Again I was promised of rectification as early as possible. As on today[protected] about 45 days have passed by and the issue is not resolved yet. I have the sign off document and mail conversations along with Whatsapp conversations to support this complaint and will attach them for reference.

                              I hired livspace for my end to end interiors of my new flat, for which my budget given was 10-12lacs. But as i onboarded with 25K advance payment, the budget kept exceeding. All the modular scope was way higher than other competition products. Also 100% payment they forced to make without even seeing the products once.
                              There was no transparency in terms of designer i.e the designer was a consultant and livspace had no control over her, and she kept raising the actual quote way higher than her original budget as she kept her commission on the actuals. This was all kept under dark.
                              the timelines were never met. all false promises and wrong timelines given.
                              No one from the company was assigned to supervise the project. No follow ups on their own. I had to travel to the site every day to follow up on work completition as i had a strict timeline due to my pregnancy and i needed my flat to be delivered before my due date.
                              even after 100% full advance payment on modular, the materials when reached was damaged and there is still no clarity when the the same will be corrected and fitted.

                                We have started the project with livspace for getting our home interior done. But our initial quotations was approx 6 lakh which was under our budget that is when we agreed to go with livspace.. but within 1 months with 3 d design the started adding addition cost on everything which was already discussed and reached till 8 lakh costing and still project was not finalized or started. And then they were delaying the project with all stupid reason as weekend or holiday or non availability of someone or materials. Please we need the our advance back because this is not something which we agreed upon. Budget was constrain and additional cost was never informed before the booking.

                                  The first briefing about Interior works on 7th Nov 2020 at the Livspace Kochi office. I was in fact drawn by the ambience and pleasing promises of the team. I did get quotes from other interior teams. However considering the proximity, alluring promises and attractive claims in advertisements, I chose Livspace. One major reason was that I wanted to entrust the work with a professional team since I will not be around during the work and I did not want my 62+ year old mother to be in trouble. After the initial conversations I was convinced that there is no need of our frequent interventions at the site. And their site clearly stated that the entire work would be done 100% by in house team, and NO external vendors. Another major promise from the team was that once I make the entire payment, Assembling will only take 7-10 days at the maximum. Hence I planned for my housewarming by March end.

                                  I had booked the team by giving an advance of Rs.20, 000 on November 14, 2020. Then second payment of Rs. 188, 104 was made on Jan 25, 2021. I was told that entire payment has to be made before procuring materials. I had raised my concern about making entire payment before completion of work. Due to delay from HDFC loan processing, my final payment got delayed by 2 days and my designer from Livspace called me to say that upon further delay in final instalment payment, they will charge me rent for storing my manufactured materials. I got panicked as I was already running tight on the financial front and pushed the procedure from the bank side to speed up fund availability. The same team who was about to charge me for storage for 2 days, has been using my flat rooms as their storerooms dumping all work materials and unfinished, unclean wardrobes. We could not occupy the rooms even after we moved into the flat due to the delay from Livspace team.

                                  Once the assembling started, I started getting back to back complaints from neighbourhood flats and Confident office. The workers were so careless and unclean. I travelled to Cochin to pay a visit at the site while work was on and I was shocked to see how badly the site was managed. Hard wastes were piled up everywhere without any kind of floor and wall protection measures taken. Almost all wall edges were broken, my balcony glass door damaged with irreversible scratches, days old food waste was dumped in the balcony. Please find the photos attached herewith.

                                  We insisted on cleaning the site regularly and following hygiene. While the painting and false ceiling work was on, there was cement and white powder wastes everywhere. In my absence at the site, the apartment cleaning staff and neighbours asked the workers to close the doors and carry out the work to avoid dust and powder waste in common area. However, by evening 7.30 pm, I got a call on my phone from Confident group office, complaining about the site issues. Due to the careless handling of workers, whole corridor of the floor and subsequent stairs of 2 floors were full of dust and dirt piled up. My neighbour who has dust allergy issue, raised complaint and I was held responsible being the flat owner. At that late night, my mother had to arrange a cleaning boy from outside, they visited the flat by 9 p m and did the cleaning. It not only incurred cost; the inconvenience caused was much. Later the team started coming up with extra costs other than projected in initial quote. They said false ceiling should be done to facilitate TV positioning – which was not in the initial plan. When I had clearly communicated the expectations and when the team did site validation as well, I am not sure why they could not project such requirements in advance. This resulted in extra costs. Also, the team broken the granite slabs and kitchen tiles that was already there. After me raising multiple complaints, they replaced a few broken tiles – but not the entire broken tiles. They made me get new granite slabs – again shooting up the costs. The team claimed that they couldn’t carry out the work without breaking tiles. This should have been projected at the beginning when they gave the quote and plan. In the entire apartment, interiors works are done by other teams in many flats and nowhere the teams broke the tiles and granites like this. The team was not at all professional.

                                  The wardrobes fixed were too bulky for the rooms of my flat. Livspace claims in their advertisements about space planning made in compact rooms. However, my rooms were made much congested and utility was nowhere factored. Local carpenters would have done better measurements and planning. The team levied designer charges on their plan, but I wonder what kind of design input was there. I have attached the Confident Leo III flat plan given by builder herewith. The same plan was replicated with no extra input, but wrong measures. I could not even fit standard double size bed cots in the rooms because of the bulky wardrobes. When questioned, they said wardrobes come in standard size. It that was the case, why is the team doing site validation and claiming on customisation? None of the wardrobe or TV unit was complete on time. I got tired writing long emails for completion and rectifications. The work table was particularly asked to be made detachable so that I can move it around if needed. The table they fixed is not detachable and they have fixed it to the wall after removing the wall-tile skirting. The wait has been very long.

                                  The workers were all third-party vendors. If you see the Livspace claims, they say that all workers are in-house. Their advertisements are misleading and deceiving. Random workers visited the site on random days and timings with no site supervisor to give instructions. They were all confused and would work 2-3 hours and leave site unclean. We had to clean it every time they messed the site. The Cement and paint wastes were such a pain. I repeated insisted to have a supervisor at site, but the team kept changing accountable people. I was given contacts of multiple people and no one seemed to have an idea about the work. I was disturbed between my work almost everyday in calls, discussions and emails. I insisted on either completing the work as promised or in case the team is incompetent, I wanted them to clear off the site and refund me the amount paid. I had to do my housewarming pooja amidst the incomplete work as there was no sign of completion or commitment to promise. I could not conduct my housewarming function, could not invite guests. Me and my 62+ year old mother had to start living in the work site with cement wastes. For the work they said they would complete in 10 days, its been 7 months. My rooms were made as their storerooms all this while. The damages the team caused in my flat are not yet fixed. And final handing over is not done as on date.

                                  The huge costs, the efforts, headaches, pain and tension are too much to bear further. A flat is my lifetime dream and they have literally spoiled it all. I belong to a normal middle-class family and I am the single earning member. Please help me address this issue and facilitate compensation from Livspace for all the delays, damages, fake promises and untrue advertisements.

                                    We have booked a package with Livspace and paid 30k on 7th august in hope that we would be getting the best quality of home decor with tension free experience. From the day of booking till now we are just chasing with designers for the options that we can have and getting nothing but mental torture and compromises.

                                    We were provided low quality wood (MDF) other options were not even mentioned and also were not provided any info...

                                    I booked livspace for my newly bought home in august 2020 and it is still yet to complete. They ask 3 months for the work but it never happened. They ask for the money first and then take us for granted. I have escalated this many times with livspace but they dont even acknowledge early and even if they did they do not correct what was went wrong. I missed my many family functions because of these delays and could not let any guests come home with the incomplete work done by them. The waste material is still at my place as i could not figure-out what is waste and what will be needed for the remaining work. I informed Livspace about my travel to hometown before a month and they should complete the work before i leave. I even told them that it is because of your delayed work i will have to come back to Pune and they should cover my to and fro charges and i wanted to live with my family in my hometown but then unfortunately maharashtra was under lockdown and my father in law was hospitalized and then I became covid positive and hospitalized for 9 days and was recovering from it. They asked me when I will come so that the pending work can be completed. So as they asked I told them i will come a week later. but reached one more week late. and before leaving confirmed with them that the material is complete and work can be done. As i reached pune they completed a little work and sent email that remaining work will need 10 more days for material delivery and installation.

                                    This livspace has brought mental stress and a lot of frustation for a year since the first payment was done, n number of escalations and and delays on delays.

                                    I would request refund rather than repair.

                                      While Livspace took the entire order in December 2020, they have failed to give the goods & services as per quality promised.
                                      They are not paying attention to any number of complaints that I have made to their Founder - ANUJ SRIVASTAVA
                                      My all money is stuck with them which they are not even refunding back.

                                      Half of the products are not even in "ORDER" stage.

                                      I have written numerous complaints to their Founder and team, and I have all email communication recorded.
