CESC CUSTOMER ID - [protected]
I am writing a complaint in regards to the high electricity bill i.e., units consumed 560 units in the month of May'2022.
I know that I have not been using more electricity than before and I have not been using any power-consuming large electrical appliances particularly in this month, not even last year. only 52 units were consumed and such abnormal bill I have never seen earlier against this abovesaid customer ID.
Therefore, I think there may be a problem with my electricity meter or taken faulty reading by the meter reader.
I request you to depute someone from CESC to inspect it as soon as possible and correct this bill. It's very difficult to pay this bill and request the urgent correction in this regard.

All due respect, I reviewed all the past CESC bills. The total 560 units and total bill amount of Rs 4590/- are unimaginable and DEFINITELY NOT BECAUSE OF THE PAST ADJUSTMENT OF PRIOR CESC BILLS. Kindly check all my CESC bills for the past months since 2015. As a fact, The residents of this Apt have a limited presence during the month. Kindly review all the details of my CESC account. My appeal is to provide the fair bill amount. Else I will need to bring this to the Consumer Court and I don't want the same. Being a reputed company, kindly check my electric meter and all past CESC bills to correct the billing issue. I would be really grateful if my account is reviewed correctly and fair decision is made.

    The meter reading man rang the door bell continuously, when I opened the door and asked why is he doing that, he started talking in rough language and went away without taking the meter reading.

    he went out of the gate and said do what ever you can

    this complain t is about the miss behave by an CESE staff in side a consumer's premises

                Subject: Regarding objection for electricity discontinuation ( [protected])

                Dear Sir,

                As per your communication I got a letter regarding discontinuation of electricity due to some one steal electricity between meter and MCB after discussion with officer I came to know.

                When inspection came near to meter room and tried to disconnect the supply at that moment few ladies raised objection why they are doing the same whereas electricity supply having bypass from only one meter then why the are trying to disconnect all the meters then the CESC inspector requested that please allow us one more meter for disconnection if the same is not been done then we will be in problem. The above statement came to know from local sources.

                As no one from my side was not available for raised the objection over there they got the chance to disconnect my supply and they did the same.

                Before hearing I felt that few days ago, before electricity supply discontinued some one came from cesc for giving me warning that if customer not paid the dues within 3 to 4 days then supply will be disrupted.
                I paid all the dues very next day in spite of this why they did to me.

                As I already explained to hearing officer that I am not involved in such type of activity as you are saying and will not accept because I am not aware of that.

                Hearing officer give me a format and said that please read the sentence and sign over the format and said to me that our inspector didn't able to get the pictures and record the video.

                There was mentioning that you are not involved in such type of activity and will not accept. Officer already wrote the sentence before my explanation.

                As I came to know that the Manjit Mahato ([protected]) permitted to take electricity from his meter and he is accepted the issue.

                it's been almost two months. So please this is my utmost request to you that restore my connection as soon as possible.

                Respected Sir,

                I Santosh Kumar Mahato have electricity connection of CESC but it is disrupted by company due to electricity steal from others meter but connection disconnected of mine as well whereas it should have been done with them.

                I mentioned everything over an appeal or objection letter with enclosures and submitted to the company but did not get a reply till now, the same has been attached for your consideration.

                There is no proof from anywhere that I was stealing electricity from my meter and also tampering.

                I can not understand that when some one accepted the allegations and i am surprised that no notice issued against him except me and land load Then why am I being dragged between these two.

                Sir, please do justice with me as this will impact my career, now every company does police verification for character certification. Then I will be in trouble and will not get a job or lose my job as I am the only earner of my family.

                I am not working properly in my office for this reason.

                  With additional SD for AC installation in 2016, My security deposit was held was INR 2540/- as per April-2021 Bill.
                  But in April-2022 Bill, the SD amount reflecting as INR 1040/- that too with the interest.

                  How this can be happened with todays infrastructure and system. I never adjusted any bill with this SD.

                    With ref. to above I state that our residence has been kept closed from last Feb.22 as we are in outstation. Still we find that CESC raised a bill higher than that of the last month. In this context, I wonder what's the minimum charge to be paid by the customer/month for keeping the power connection in active mode without consuming power in the residents absence?                         We have requested for new connection of electricity to CESC limited in flat no 4F of block 1 at Sugam Habitat 158A NASKARHAT PICNIC GARDEN ROAD KOLKATA WEST BENGAL pin 700039. As per demand letter and Bill no. 08/07951/22/7/1 we have paid the entire amount of Rs 21150/- on 04.05.2022. Annexure B has been filled up and accepted by CESC as per their return mail received by us. However even after fifteen days connection from CESC has not started.
                        On enqiry I was given a lame excuse from the CESC office that the main switch may not be in place which may lead to the delay in getting connection.
                        However the main switch is in proper place.
                        This unwanted delay in getting connection is harassment of the customer and very unfortunate. I have visited the CESC office repeatedly with no definite answer from the employee at desk. CESC has not contacted us via email or phone regarding the date of starting connection.

                          This is Ashwini Kumar Bal, applied for a new meter on 22-Apr-21 and 6-Mar-22 with reference number 05/10602/21 and 05/06559/22. However, I still have not received my new meter.

                          Current status for both of my applications are: Identify common suitable position for new SVC.

                          After my 1st application, 4 meters have come to our premises. If the reason is for a new service line then how those 4 meters have got passed.

                              My electricity bill has been increasing gradually since the covid screw up when everyone in Kolkata received an increased amount of bill from CESC. Before that my electricity bill used to be in the[protected]rs range. But now after May 2020 it has risen to such a point I am having to pay[protected]rs bill per month. On April 2022 we received a bill of 7180rs which is absolutely insane.

                              Surely there is something wrong with our meter or otherwise I am suspecting someone is stealing electricity from our meter with another line. I would like to request a meter inspection at your earliest convenience.

                                    This is for your kind information that I have received the bill for the month of March, 2022 is amounting to RS. 1940. though my house was closed for that month for approx 25 days then how could such huge consumption of electricity can be made in just 6 days of the month.

                                      I paid 10k to my landlord for getting a meter alongwith other tenants who also paid 10k each. It's been 3 years and I'm still waiting for my meter to arrive. It's getting very difficult to survive is this sultry weather. Can this be fixed asap.

                                        With reference to above mentioned subject I, Kumar Chattopadhyay, resident of 78 – E block East, Baghajatin, Kolkata – 700 086 would like to bring to your kind notice that billing practice executed by CESC is totally beyond ethics. Every month the CESC representative is coming at our residence and collect the meter reading but in the bill the recorded data is found missing and after 5/6 months they are accumulating all the consumed unit and charges abruptly based on their Rate Slab Table as furnished bill which results this exorbitant amount in one month.
                                        In this aspect I earnestly request to do the needful to take this issue with concerned authority and re-assess the bills as furnished above (from 1 to 6) and adjust the excess amount with the next bill and also advise them to send the bills mentioning all the data collected by their representative every month.
