I have submitted all the documents on behalf of my mother and CESC had to give a cheque amounting to the security deposit deposited by father, who has expired in May.
For changing the connection name to my name, I have also deposited around Rs.4300 as a security deposit again. But they are not replying back with any information or acknowledgement.

Complaint marked as Resolved The steps followed is they call and inform you that they are refunding a very small amount amounting to around Rs.4000 such that the personnel can earn this amount in seconds. But while taking security deposit they will think its a huge amount. Make a default in bill payment even for Rs.300 they will get back to you soon but while repaying they feel reluctant as the amount is sooooo small that they can pay it blind-eyed but they wont.
Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation [CESC] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
