As of last week or so three trailere of CESC were towed into Sundari Mohan Avenue just opposite National Medical College adjacent to Chittarnjan hospital. Tarpaulin was put on these with sitting wooden stools. There is no CESC work being done in this neighborhood & by placing these vehicles for days on end it has become a safety risk for local residents & elderly people to even be able to walk besides taking away space for residents to park their own vehicles. All one can see is that people just sit around on these CESC trailers over the day & chat. Do not understand as to why CESC can cause such hardships to this neighborhood. Necessary action should be taken immediately to remove these trailers . This is our first approach & if no response or action is taken we will Surely take up with other authorities .

    Dear Sir, I was not staying in my House at 5/1A Boral Para Lane (where in the subject meter is installed ) from January 2014 to August 2014 wherein the old meter was installed and the was not in use during that period Now Bill for September 2014 suddenly came with an exorhibitant amount of Rs 1206/ which is just average of the last years consumption during that period though as per Meter reading nothing is chargeable . Further a new meter has been installed and average bill raised without any logic Already bills related the said period if any has been paid by me. The bill raised does not conform to any of the meter reading, its just an arbitrary amount without any reason Now i submitted a complaint letter dated 11/11/2014 at CESC Shayambazar Office The same has also been Replied vide Letter Ref NR/C/[protected]/13 dated 12/11/2014 wherein no explanation has been given for this illogical arbitrary billing . Now I have already paid the amount so i request you to look into the case and arrange for refund of the excess amount by adjusting against my future bills.       Sir, The display panel in my meter box is not working and hence its not able to show any reading. The CESC people are randomly sending bills for the last two months of very huge amounts, not even bothering to correct the meter display. Sir please look into the matter so that my meter display gets fixed and my amount charged extra is adjusted in the upcoming months. Thanking You in anticipation.

But due to fault in system the payment has been made twice and the amt.Rs.6570.49 is debited to my bank a/c again.                     METER NO[protected] G/SINGLEPHASE METER READING 55566 TO 56679 DONE ON 18/11/2014. HOWEVER WE READ THE METER TODAY 14/12/2014 AT 11.30A.M. TO BE ONLY 55710. HOW DID METER READING APPEAR 56679 ON 18/11? IN THE LAST 15 YEARS NEVER HAS BEEN MORE THAN 250 UNITS CONSUMED IN OCTOBER, HOW HAVE I BEEN BILLED FOR 1113 UNITS. I HAVE PAID RS 10770 AS CHARGES FOR OCTOBER. I AM DEPENDENT ON INTEREST INCOME AND CANNOT SUFFER THIS. IT IS CAUSING GREAT MENTAL STRESS AND HARASSMENT.                         Consumer no.[protected], complaint lodged on 27.11.2014 through telephone no. 1912 and Docket no. [protected] While changing the supply line and new meter, the main fuse in the meter box got burnt and temporary connection was made and power was restored by the CESC contractor. They advised to inform 1912 for immediate replacement of fuse with fuse box as they did not have the same.The officer receiving the complaint informed through sms that within 2-hours the complaint would be addressed.Today is 12.12.2014 i.e. almost 2- weeks have passed but CESC have not sent anyone. This is something which can not be set right by any outside agency.

                              Hi My house address is 11/1 Sibtala Lane, Chatra, Hoogly, Zip 712204. Consumer number is [protected]. The house is under construction and nobody lives there. Only one small light is on inside the house. On an average we get Re35/- charge every month. Suddenly in October it has gone upto almost 4000. Can you please look into it.                                   today at 12 noon 3 people claiming officials from cesc visited our home. they forcibly entered through the bedroom where my mother was changing her dress whereas the meter room's door is already on the outerside for outsideres to come. they harrassed and quarelled with my parents. found nothing. insulted and humiliated my mother. and also refused to show their id cards. at last after quarelling they asked for bribe. when we denied they harrased us. had we been a thief then we are ready to face the punishment. is this a way of earning extra money? has cesc stopped paying salary to their employees? my consumer no. is [protected]

                                      Refs: 1. Our Consumer No.[protected]. 2. Our bill No.[protected]. Dear Sir/Madam, In connection with the above mentioned subjects and references, we would like to draw your kind attention to the following facts and circumstances – 1. that, our school is a W. B. Govt. recognised and aided Higher Secondary Co-educational backward section of the society. 2. that, we receive only salaries and retiremental benefits from the Govt. of W.B. for the approved staffs only. 3. that, we have to meet other recurring expenses for maintenance and payments for electricity bills by levying nominal annual fees from the poor wards as mentioned above (Para-1). 4. that, now, the electricity bills have havocally raised beyond our capacity and we can’t afford such huge electricity bills to pay. 5. that, we are extremely shocked and astonished to receive such bills for last few months. 6. that, if you disconnect our electricity supply due to non-payment of our such unaffordable bills, this will adversely affect the education of the children coming from poor families for which we will not be responsible due to our incapability to pay such bills. Hence, sir/ madam, we earnestly request you to reduce our monthly electricity bills and also arrange to enquire into the matter for such havoc bills. However, please, also arrange for payments of our this huge bill amount in easy instalments (at least 05 instalments). Confidently hope that you will empathetically understand our genuine grievance in the light of above mentioned facts & circumstances in the interest of the poor-wards (students) for which this institution was established to yield able citizens for our future society as these poor children are also our future and can repay to our civilized society in other ways by becoming of efficient citizens.
