I have paid electricity bill for the month of October 2014 ( Consumer No-[protected]) for an amount Rs 620/ through debit card on 5/12/2014 but I have not received any acknowledgement from CESC site whereas the said amount deducted from my bank account vide TXN NO[protected] of SBI GARIA BARNCH Kolkata-47 and the mater has been informed by me on 9/12/2014 to SOUTH REGIONAL OFFICE, Mandeville Gardens, Kolkata-19 along with the documents.The said office provide me a docket No 091214/[protected]/091214 SL No[protected] to settle the case. But the said paid amount Rs620/ is added in the bill of November 2014. In my next visit on 30/12/2014 the officer in charge pen through the bill amount by deducting Rs.620/- and instructed me to pay the bill in cash. Accordingly I paid the bill of November 2014 in the said office it self.It is regretted to inform that the same amount has been reflected again in the bill of December 2014 and I have been served a disconnection notice. The details are once again depicted below. i)Bill amount of October 2014 is Rs.620/-(Paid through online service vide TXN NO[protected] of SBI GARIA BARNCH Kolkata-47 ii) Bill amount of November was Rs.1140/-( including bill amount of October i.e Rs.620/-) Concerned CESC officer was instructed to pay Rs.520/- after deducting Rs.620/- for bill of October 2014( which I had already paid) and accordingly I have paid the amount of Rs.520/- in cash in the South Regional Office, Mandeville Gardens, Kolkata-19 iii) Recently the said amount has been again added (Rs624.65 )to my eclectic bill of December 2014. Please sort out the problem at the earliest and issue me a fresh bill of December 2014 so that I can pay the same within schedule time i.e within 09/02/2015.     Ref: CESC Docket No.[protected], Dt. Jan 28, 2015 Consumer No: [protected] & [protected] Calcutta Courier appointed by CESC for delivery of monthly bills has been a cause of agony and utter customer dissatisfaction. Neither they do the delivery nor do they do a basic job of a mere postman. I am being harassed to get duplicate bills for the last 2 months and the contact number being mentioned in the SMS provided by CESC goes unanswered most of the time. I have also lodged a formal complaint with the CESC the docket number mentioned for your records. Extremely sorry to say that the Calcutta Courier has added much dissatisfaction in the mind of consumers and the constant endeavour of improving the customer service by CESC gets defeated. Suggest immediate termination of services of Calcutta Courier and appointment of some responsible vendor. I need to pay my bills in time and I need to get a proper document in form of a bill well in advance. Running to CESC office to collect duplicate bill is certainly not my duty and disconnection of services for not getting the pmt within the due date is the right of the company ... God Bless

      I am to state that the electric meter is there in my father's name i.e., Samir Kumar Deb of address 108 Rajendra Avenue, Uttarpara, LP-10/7/8, Hooghly 712258, Consumer ID: [protected], Consumer No. [protected]. I, Indrajit Deb, son of Samir Kumar Deb, pay the bills for him through online method. Now, I have observed that though the email ID mentioned in the site is correct one but the mobile number in your site is wrong and I am unable to change it also. My mobile no. is : [protected] and [protected]. So, please update the mobile no. in either of the two so that I may get my informations, feedback, payment information in my mobile no. It is also fact that my father died on 16.5.2014 but I cannot change his number at the moment, as I have another meter in the premises in my name which is of consumer No. [protected] and customer id being: [protected]. I could have transferred the connection in my wife's name but her documents are all of her Behala flat address, so I am not in a position to change the name right now. At present if the mobile no. is updated and it is informed to me that would be sufficient at the moment.

Current month Dec'14 Bill shows 3, 700/- (appx) and last 2 months (Oct'14 & Nov'14) Bill also very high and same for the Units consumed after installing the New Digital Meter - comparing the Bill amount & Units used in last 6months. Complain Letter - To The Revenue Officer/In –chame rge North Suburban Regional Office 32. B .T. Road. Kolkata- 700058 22-Dec-2014 Sub: Abnormally high Billing Amount in Last Two Months. Sir, This is to inform you that my Oct & Nov ’14 Bill amount is exceptionally high and it is really unbearable for me NOW to pay the next cycle Bill as these high amount of Oct- Rs. 4050 + Nov Rs. 3640 (already paid) to maintain the existing supply/connection from CESC, being a senior citizen of 85years of age and financially supported by Savings Interest income only. Referring to the attached copies of the last THREE months bill copy, Consumer name – Hiranmoy Samadder & Jyotirmoy Samadder (my late brother) having the Consumer ID – [protected], Consumer no – [protected], Type – Domestic, Bill no – Sept’14- [protected] amounting only Rs. 58 because of the Meter replacement from old Meter to a Newly Digital Meter which is duly adjusted in the next month’s b ill in Oct’14 as Bill no – [protected] amounting to Rs. 4050. But to my surprise, again in Nov’14 also Bill no [protected] served me with an astronomical amount of Rs. 3640. All these Bills are duly paid by me on or before the last date. Analyzing the last 6months consummation as printed at the back side of each Bill, my average consumption rate stand as between 177 to 186 Units per month, only in Sept’14 it is Zero (reason mentioned above) but suddenly increased in Oct’14 – 582 Units, adding old meter count and new meter count in Nov’14 – 440 Units (should not be) which is unreasonable in my opinion as it is beginning of Winter (less Uses) and there is no new Electrical devices added in this month to consume 440 Units, breaking the earlier monthly average Units. All starting and ending count number checked properly. Therefore, requesting you and to your good office to check my newly Installed meter, if it is functionally ok or not ? and then the proper calibration done correctly or not ? otherwise this is not at all acceptable for me to have this much of Consumption in Units and in Amount to digest in Dec’2014 We are looking for your kind and appropriate action in this regard instead of escalating or complaining.                 Dear Sir/Madam I applied online for METER SHIFTING on 11/01/15 on inspection date is generated on 14/01/15 regarding MAIN REFERENCE NO 05/01166/15 and consumer no.--[protected] The distance of meter box shifting is approx 4 to 5 foot between existing wall and new wall Inspection has been done and on 15/01/15 I got a sms from CESC that THE MASD bill along with other documents for MRNO 05/01166/15 have been dispatched and Bill amount 12686 validity date 16th April 2015 I have some queries and will you please rectify those queries 1 It seems to me that the bill amount is incorrect because the same has been done by my neighbors for his personal meter shifting purpose recently and they needed to pay almost half of that then why it is double in case of mine 2 When will I get the revised bill 3 I am not able to view OFFER LETTER AND MASD BILL its showing THE WEBPAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE Please help regarding this matter and resolve this issue asap Regards Sanatan Das

                    In spite of taking reading of all other meters for December-2014 installed side by side in Premises No. 6A, Gopal Banerjee Street, Kolkata-700025, reading against the above Consumer No. has not been taken for December, 2014 which to the best of my knowledge is a negligence on the part of your Meter Reading person. This will result in higher payment on the basis of Two Months consumption when the Bill for January-2015 will be raised, which I strongly object. Please ensure that this does not occur in future.                       I want to report electricity theft for over consistently more than 2 years. The consumer number is [protected] and it is in the name of Archana Guha. The household has common things one household generally has like lights, fans, televisions, washing machines, and moreover one Air Conditioners. Despite having these, their monthly average bill is Rs. 0! They do not have to pay any bill. The meter checker from CESC comes every month to note down readings and still he cannot find anything. This is possible only when he is set up with this. I would request CESC to take a look at this as soon as possible for benefit of CESC as well as common people!

                      This is to inform that there is an illegal electricity hooking and power theft racket is going around Tiljala Masjid Bari Lane & 29A, Kustia Road, Kolkata - 700039.
                      There is an organised gang of approximately 30 members indulge in these illegal activities.
                      Prime members is Pradeep Bhagat s/o. Late Kallu Bhagat, residing at 26/1, Kustia Road, Kolkata - 700039. Please take appropriate and necessary steps to prevent these kinds of activities once and for all.
                      One of my neighbour Mr. Amitabha Mohanta, of 3/2F, B.T.Road, Kolkata-2 is missing the power supply. From the last 30yrs he is hooking the meter by using some paisa inside of this. In his house he regularly using 2 fridge, washing machine, 2 split AC of 2 tons each.( regular near about 10 to 12 hours). Then also his CESC bill is coming only Rs.150 to Rs.200. Kindly verify the same whether my doubts are justified or not.

                        Consumer no. [protected] -the bill for December 2014 has been generated with WRONG meter reading. The normal/average consumption for the December billing has been MUCH lower than billed -even higher than average monthly billing. Please check the meter reading again and amend the bill to enable us to pay in time and also get the rebate for E payment as well -we have been paying through E payment regularly. The total amount is very high and we cannot pay the same -as it need to be corrected. Hope to get immidiate response and action. immidiate [protected]

                            Con No, [protected] I dropped the cheque along with the bill in drop box of R N Mukherjee Road cash office on 1.12.2014. CESC not aknowledged the cheque and sent a combile bill for Oct and Nov 2014 with disconnection notice. I do not know what will be the fate of my chque. I have already paid the composite bill.                                   Respected Sir, I Palash Saha, S/o Gour Gopal Saha would like to bring your kind notice towards the unethical financial practice and management of M/s CESC. On 17 Dec 14, telephonically talked with CESC customer care with a lady, I Came to know that on the month of Sep 14 no reading has been taken by CESC official and a adjustment reading has been done. It has been also been informed that due to rain and thunder, CESC official not able to take meter reading. If you will take last nine month consumption of electricity from Mar 14 to Nov 14, you will see consumption is not more than 40 points. Moreover, most of the time no use of electricity . This is the total adjustment of meter by CESC official whoever is responsible for meter reading. How come, in month Nov 14, meter reading can come 176. All of sudden hike is not possible, if a person is having 6-8 Rotis daily, all of sudden he can’t have 50 Rotis at a time. So, some thing is going wrong by CESC official. I hope these cases would bring your notice to the unethical practices that this institute is into.                                         As of last week or so three trailere of CESC were towed into Sundari Mohan Avenue just opposite National Medical College adjacent to Chittarnjan hospital. Tarpaulin was put on these with sitting wooden stools. There is no CESC work being done in this neighborhood & by placing these vehicles for days on end it has become a safety risk for local residents & elderly people to even be able to walk besides taking away space for residents to park their own vehicles. All one can see is that people just sit around on these CESC trailers over the day & chat. Do not understand as to why CESC can cause such hardships to this neighborhood. Necessary action should be taken immediately to remove these trailers . This is our first approach & if no response or action is taken we will Surely take up with other authorities .
