This is regarding Chevrolet Cruz which i had bought in 2011.

Since the beginning i have been noticing some issues with the clutch which was highlighted every time the car went for a service. The problem was unidentified every time due to the clutch performing well while within the service center premises but it used to occur on and off which was difficult to explain and understand.

This problem has become quiet frequent in the last 6 months and i would like to ask for your assistance/urgent call into this matter as it has become very painful to drive this expensive well renowned machine.

(Exact problem description: The clutch does not come up once pressed and have to do it manually every now and then.)

      Hello,

      Am writing this on behalf of my worst every
      experience with my Chevy Cruze service with no permanent solution yet.

      3 months back i got a cruze (Second hand) and i thought of
      having a general checkup before using it on a regular basis, so i reached the
      nearby Sundaram motors for servicing. Upon reaching the service center i meet a
      service executive named Sudharsan and after seeing the car, he said we have to
      change the timing belt of the r which would cost us around 60, 000 INR and we
      also agreed to do so. Apart from this he said the disk shoes and other things
      are also needed to be changed with an estimation of overall 80, 000 INR.
      Moreover he asked us to pay a down payment of 25% of the estimated amount,
      which made us literally angry because as if we are not worth of paying the
      service amount which they estimated also we haven't experienced such a
      disrespectful situation before with our other car's which we own except this
      one. after a weeks’ time we got a call from service center stating our car is
      ready for delivery and after going they we have been informed by the executive
      that after opening up the car engine they came to know that it had a timing
      chain and not a timing belt, I can't understand this because even the engineers
      are not worthy to even know the car specification without opening up coz once a
      product is opened it won't be the same again. After all we paid an amount of
      overall 40, 000 for changing the fans and brake shoes and other stuff which
      weren't clear to us and note: They didn't which change the engine oil and
      others general filter changes coz we where been informed that general service
      can be done after 3 months’ time and we paid 40, 000 INR and came back.

      Within another month we got the service lamp glowing again
      and again the same routine began by taking my car to the service center and
      then got checked with the same executive but this time they said we need to go
      for the general changes like engine oil and other filter and we too agreed coz
      it's a basis which we do with all cars usual. After 3 days when we went to get
      the car back they said the general service was done and also they said the car
      has a weak clutch and gearbox flywheel which can be used for a while but it
      might wear out soon, which gave us a shock because i have been using Toyota and
      Ford brands and i never came across a situation where the timing beat, clutch
      and flywheel getting repair within 80, 000 KM and i never expected such quality
      from Chevrolet after using many cars from Chevy in my past. Again we paid
      around 36, 000 INR for the same and said once we face a problem we will get it
      done with the clutch and other things which we have been notified. After using
      my car for another two days we came across an issue with the driver door
      passive unlock system and when we informed the executive about this, he said
      the sensor within the door must have got repaired and we have to go for a
      replacement and at that time by warranty has also got expired and so we asked
      him to place an order for the sensor.

      after a weeks’ time i got the check engine and service lamp
      both blinking while am on a long journey and we had no clue what to do and somehow
      managed to reach our destination with speeds less than 60KM and next day we
      went to the service center and this time they said we need pay some amount for
      checking the entire wiring system coz they was a some water under the matt
      which is why we have been notified with the lamps in info display. We had no
      choice but to agree with that and took the car after two weeks’ time and paid
      13, 000INR.

      After the above incident we got the same problem with the
      service lamp glowing again...This time when we called the executive and
      informed about the issue, he said it might be because of the door sensor, so
      asked us to wait until the door sensor reaches the stock and also he said that
      we can look into the service lamp issue also after the door sensor comes in and
      meanwhile asked us to use the car as usual and we waited for 3 months and
      finally we got tired of calling and asking the status of the sensor and then we
      called and asked the executive to check with the service lamp issue. So we
      asked us to come with the car and we went there and waited for 5 hours and
      still no answers on the lamp light issue or the door and when i went near the
      car i could see my car bonnet got opened and they were doing something and when
      i enquired about the door to one of the engineers, a guy came from nowhere and
      said the sensor is available to install and so we informed the executive about
      this and asked to install the sensor coz this is taking more days and also we
      can't come each and every time for one or the other issue. Me, my brother and
      Dad where clueless that to get a spare will it takes months and in this case
      this is just a small issue and if we have a major issue i believe we have to
      forgot about our car after leaving it to the service center.

      Next day we went to service center to take the car and when
      we meet the executive he said the sensor got replaced and it will cost us 6, 600
      INR and asked us to wait for the bill. Meanwhile i reached the executive and
      asked about the bill details and then he came with a bill and this time he gave
      us a new shocking news stating the service lamp issue seems to be an fuel
      injection issue and we have placed an order for the same and it comes around
      40, 000INR. However the executive said he asked to reset the service lamp for
      meantime and he said if the service lamp issue comes again i need to replace
      the fuel injected this time. I got really angry this time and i was not ready
      to take my car back until i get a solution for this and so i asked the
      executive to call the manager and no one showed up, which even made me more
      angry and scared that if i leave my car here and come next day, they might even
      change the entire good spares with old ones and rob me even more.

      I just can't take it anymore coz If a customer leaves
      his/her car behind a service center with trust the only job of the service
      center is to fix the issue and not to create new issues but here whenever i
      have a visit to this pathetic service center i have been informed with new
      issues and charge us even more without a solution. If it keeps on going i need
      to finally get a new engine replaced for the car to overcome all the problems.

      Almost i spend 1 laks runpees within 3 months and the my
      most visit's would be to the service center and still the issue which i meant
      is still continuing without an end. I have been using Travera, Beat from
      Chevrolet and other brands like Toyota and ford and i never expect a cheap quality
      and worst reliability product rather than Chevrlot. I Couldn't believe that a
      global company is using such cheap products, misusing customers and robbing
      they earned income in the name of service. I would never ever suggest someone
      to buy a Chevrolet product ever.

      Upon Speaking with Ms. Sindhu from Sundaram motors, she say's my car was effected if flood but the reality is that my car was perfectly fine before giving it to the service center.

      Also curious because how come they are pretty sure that my car has been affected in flood because if the car has really been effected in flood then all the speakers and all other technical stuff should have showed any signs on malfunctioning or some sort and also we had no issues with the service lamp or any sort before our first service and our only goal was to have a general checkup. moreover when we had the car visited for the first time, your service executive said that our car has a timing belt but the reality was it had a timing chain and not a timing belt. adding to it i was asked to pay 15K as down payment and i want to know whether that one also comes under one of your rules, after witnessing this i could see how much trust they have with the customers and also it show how keen those guys are in taking up money before even finishing up the job which we asked for. However during our first service as a service center they should have checked end to end and should have informed me whats the exact issue is but the story kept on going again and again till date no solution for this. However we still have an issue with the recent service which i have mentioned in my previous mail that the auto doors are not working when my power winds are working.

      How come they are sure with the executive words when he is not sure about the technical stuff with the cars he is servicing. We had no issues in the past with your service center and now am really disappointed with a response and servicing.

      Here is the funny part with my last service where service executive said my driver door sensor have to be changed but i was pretty sure that it had some other issue and not the sensor and when i said he was dam stubborn that it was a sensor fault. After seeing the replaced spare it was not the sensor which was changed it was the Bracket which was changed. to be honest, I haven't seen a sensor like this in my entire life. I herewith attaching the pics of the Bracket AKA Sensor as per Sundharam words.

      I haven't got a single reply from GM yet and i could see that GM is clearly denying my issue and keep on cheating all the on going and upcoming customers with a worst product and less reliability

        Regarding starting problem in my car chevrolet beat

        From last 7-8 month its giving problem in starting, i already visited 3-4 times to chevrolet service centre but still the problem persist as it is. They had changed its fuel pump, battery, spark plug but still the problem not goes away....

        We are having cruze l. m. v car, makers by cruze ltz vcd bsiv. we are facing the problem of break failure when we concerned with general motors (desai auotomobiles vapi, gujrath) on 7th nov 2016, they advised its happened due to brake oil pipe is leaking (needs to replace). but we are not received spears till date, and not getting response till today and even they are not sure when it can be resolved. same has been discussed with representative of desai auotomobiles vapi, gujrat on no. [protected].

        Request you to please guide us as already week time completed and we are paying unconcern car rent due to non availability of spears.

          Dear Sir,

          I am the owner of Chevrolet Beat car bearing Reg. No. KL 11 AK 505. The car was running well and it was under extended warranty till August 20146.On 30th Otober 2016 I drove the car and parked it before the Reliance Fresh supermarket at Kozikode at about 830 PM. After completing my shopping when I started the car, it was not staring. It is pertinent tom note that there was no indication of trouble. None of the OBD indicators shwed any indication of any problem. I raised a complaint with the Chevrolet and their service representative arrived and informed that the CRDI pump might have broken down.
          The car remained parked in the parking lot of the supermarket and the next day the service representative again came with the scanner and he could not locate the problem. Aagin he came with a CRDI pump in the evening and as he could not identify the problem, the vehicle was taken to the service centre ( Makah Motors).

          The next day, that is 2nd November 2016 thae informed that there is nothing wrong with the pump and informed me that they have to check the electrical circuit. I kept of following up the matter with Service Centre and on 4 th Nov they informed me that the problem may be with the engine and the engine need to be opened and the charges may be anything between Rs. 20000 to Rs. 55000/.

          The car had been used neatly and was under extended warranty till August 2016 and all the periodic services and other repairs had been done by the authorised service centre. The engine was overhauled at 58000 K M. The car had clocked only 7300 K Ms no. This being the case I had made a complaint to Chvrolet ( Complaint No. [protected] dated 6th Nov.) requesting them to examine the issue and inform me the exact reasons for this fault as t may be due to quality of spares/ componants/ service.

          When I followed up the issue with the complaints team on 8th Nov I was surprised to get the answer that " the complaint is closed as the complainant is the second owner and the vehicle is 5 years old and out of warranty.

          When I insisted to speak to an authorized officer of Chevrolet I was connected to the service manager of the service centre, who I believe, has no authority to speak on behalf of Chevrolet.

          I am surprised to receive such casual response from a company like chevrolet and hope my complaint will be addressed in a responsible manner by your local representative and you will redress the issue at an early date.

            I had a brake problem with my Chevrolet Beat Petrol and it was sent to workshop and back and forth with the same problem for few times and recently they have changed brake booster and on the first trip after that the brake completely failed . I did not find any safety in the Chevrolet Beat Petrol i had. Please find the solution or take the car and return the money. (I bought my Car in June 2010)

              I purchased a used chevrolet beat from the authorised service center, which ensure chevrolet certified used cars. at first i had agreed to get the suspension repaired and i got the car into service soon after makingthe purchase. this was to be done in a week but due to some kind of negligence it took a month. also the car ended up with a staring problem didnot exist in the first place. however finally after a month they were ready to deliver after several call and also meetings with the gm. when i got the car i noticed a lot of black & white smoke being emited but the service people came up with lame excuses. due the long wait that i was put through i got the car out service and now soon after just two month the car is having problems related to the turbo and maybe the engine. this is completely unexpected as i was deliberately sold an vechile which was expected to break down. i was conned by the dealer and chevrolet. as they promised certified used cars, this seems to be just hoax.

                  Iam a customer of Chevrolet India for last four years, my vehicle CHEVROLET BEAT LS reg. no. KL 26 D 618 has done the 50, 000 km service (paid service) on 17 oct 2016, when the vehicle run only 31, 044 Km. The service was done at deedi motors Pathanamthitta under the supervision of Mr. vijo Mathew, during the service the vehicle took outside the service centre for half an hour or more and when returns service supervisor called me and told that rear left side door glass winder is defective and it costs Rs 500 + labour. Without notifying me the problem, they have already dismantled door winder and make it totally unserviceable. I have not reported such a defect because it was working well till I handed over the vehicle to the service supervisor. What I have seen from outside was someone gathered near the vehicle and three of them sat inside and one mechanic filling the oil up to level. The scene reveals that they are not replaced the oil also. This defect is created by them to achieve the target allotted to the dealer to them, (I had heard such events happened to other customers also which they are helpless to complaint about) I was not in position to pay an additional amount, already paid Rs 7214 including labour of Rs 2191 for oil and filter (which Iam not sure they have filled), air filter, coolant changing, wiper water, brake cylinder replacing. A surprising factor is there the left side door glass is lifted and shutdown by my wife during departure from home. I dropped her in midway, after that nobody were used until I handled the vehicle to the service centre. The said door winder is now hanging which cannot be used. I’m in a great disappointment. Common man like us owns a car with huge expectations.
                  I am expecting the concerned authorities look into the matter and help me to earn justice.

                    I have a car chevrolet sail sedan for last two years. before that i was having chevrolet beat.
                    But for my sail sedan car i am facing many problems like ac problem, rpm fluctuation, door noice and the major problem is that mostly when i drive and push the clutch it stops the car. well many time i had gone to the service center but whenever i go the service center they consistently belive me that your problem will be sort out. but they could not sort out any problem.
                    Because of this situation i dont think anyone should buy any chevrolet car.

                      I had sold my Chevy UVA car to the Orange dealer in Hyderabad ( Banjara Hills showroom) in 2014. I had handed over the car along with all the required document and Rs.1000 for processing the transfer. After all this, my car is still not been transferred. On my every inquiry they say that its in process. I was also informed that they have misplaced the RC.
                      I had to travel to Vizag some time back to check on its progress ( I had bought the car from the Orange dealer, Peda Waltair ).
                      As on date there has been no response. They are not responding to my calls even.

                        Hi all,

                        In aug'16, some know person hit and run my car door. Hence i bring my car to sundaram motors chevrolet showroom. All the body shop work charged through insurance and for other services i have paid cash. After 1month (Sep'16) i realized ac is not working. After check up my car they saying thermometer is burnt. If thermometer burnt means they made some mistake in wiring but instead of they charging to rs8500. Way of service engineer behavior is very rude. Even i have raised my complaint to senior position of that service showroom. No response. Last year nov'15 only i have refilled my ac chemical and checked entire ac issue due to rat bite.
                        This sundaram motors everytime charging more and service is very worst comparing other vendors.

                        My vehicle no is tn02-aw-6302- chevrolet beat ls

                        Friends, dont buy any chevrolet vehicle. Their service centers are very worst comparing other brand car.

                          I had send my care with my driver for free service on 04/10/2016.
                          and Charged RS.9570/-This is too much and charged Labor charged withou
                          informed and without any intimation.
                          This is very unfair practice and one type of cheating with customer.
                          If you do not refund my money, I will go to Customer Court with yours risk and cost.

                            I purchased Enjoy lt petrol from SC Auto Thane in Sept 2013.I came to know recentely from internet that my vehicles manufacturing date is april 2014 but vehicle actually launched in may 2014 and dealer registered manf date as june 2013 in Rc. I complained to GM motors but they are not responding . so now I lodged police complaint of cheating by dealer.what action we will take against Dealer and Company.

                              Non working of a/c of drivers cabin. last year also this problem occurs & it has been resolved last year. again the same problem occured. this type of problem occurs usually in rainy season. due to this problem travelling becomes uncomfortable it is requested requested to please resolve the problem permanently for smooth working of car.

                                I want to bring to your notice a terrible incident i am facing with chevrolet. It’s been more than 1.5 month my car is not repaired. I am mis-committed again and again by the service center people.

                                Last month i gave my car (Cruze up 16 ak 1531) for servicing at chevrolet service center noida sector-8.

                                During the delivery, the bumper was damaged and there were scratches over the car, which the service center people were denying but somehow accepted their fault next day. The car took more than 10 days to repair.

                                They promised delivery in the morning at my home but car was delivered in the evening, giving unnecessary excuses of the traffic (Hardly 5-6 km from my home). I waited whole day at home. This time they misplaced the key and the car was
                                Delivered without the key. I got my old key repaired for the time being.

                                The new key was arranged after 2 weeks. I scheduled an appointment with them to collect the key. I reached on time. They took more than 3 hours to install the key and later told me that the server has some issue and it will be done the
                                Next time.

                                There were also some noise from the car after servicing which i asked them to check, without my permission they opened up everything and told me that they will change the mounting to fix it, but i said that leave it as it is please i don’t
                                Want anything else changed right now. After they put the nut and everything on there was an unusual noise from which i asked them to check immediately. It got late that time so they (Mr. Mishra) assured me that next time whenever i have time i can come over
                                And they will install the key and will check the noise and fix the mounting noise.

                                I called the service center this saturday. They were busy and asked me to submit car on tuesday, as this was just matter of 2 hours. They picked up the car on tuesday. Now it’s been 3 days my car is not yet delivered. I have been calling
                                Ervice center, they say the key is ready but again they are denying that continuously they had to fix the mounting noise. Now they are not even picking the call. Mr mishra, who assured me, is on leave, his phone is off.

                                Now the car is deliver but the old key is not working. They again came to home for repair took 1.5 hours but again had technical issues.

                                Request you to please take strict against the service center.

                                  Sir/madam,
                                  I'm a owner of spark car (vehicle no wb069003) and a regular customer of speed chevrolet workshop (opp khanna cinema) in west bengal. last 26th july i handed over it for repair and servicing to mr nag (supervisor) and he gave me an estimate of rs 50k. now today i got back my car but without any intimation they charged me rs 68k! after paying the said amount, while back to home car stopped severally 5 times. i handed over it again to the workshop. i am not liable to pay any amount for this kind of poor service. i need it within 2 days.

                                  I'll b greatful if you look after this matter and bring back my car safely.

                                    Sir,
                                    Our car was met with an accident on 9th of july 2016. Got major body damage
                                    Car was tao him as spare parts reken in regent auto service center in faridabad.
                                    After 9/07/2016 they give my back on 12/09/2016. With incomplete process i. E. A. C was not repaired with approximate bill of rupees 2 lacs which paid apart from that bill i also gone for car service to ensure no other fault in car left.
                                    Then after service i faced problem regarding clutch. Taken the car again to regent auto on 17/09/2016 they again said they are short of that part and asked me to take car and ensure no major fault will occur by it and return when they will ask, so i take my car back on 18/09/2016.
                                    After this on 19/09/2016 they called and asked me to get the car to them as spare parts are arranged.
                                    When on 21/09/2016 i was taking car to regent auto the car breakdown in the middle, and their road side assistance team took more than 4 hours to take the action and somehow the car was taken to regent auto.
                                    And now they are saying clutch got damage and again i have to pay for it.
                                    Every time only the service advisor change but the problem is as it is.

                                    Please tell me what to do still from july to september they are unable to repair a small hatchback beat car.
                                    This is really a torture to us. As it is causing loss of money as well as loss of time.
                                    Who will give the compensation.
                                    I request authority person to please respond and improve your service.
