I, Ekta Prakash, currently hold two Citibank cards- Rewards and IOC.
In 2018, payment was overdue on my IOC card on account of renewal fee. However, this card was not used during the entire year 2018 and my intention was to close the card but somehow I missed it and the renewal fee was levied. I mistakenly believed that I had already closed the card and did not realise that the card was still active and it was in overdue status. This card was subsequently blocked along with my other card (which was actively being used and all payments were made timely).
In December 2018, I called Citibank helpline and asked for the next steps. I was told to pay Rs. 386 against IOC card which would settle my overdue amount and the remaining amount would be waived off. I paid this amount through NEFT on 14-Dec-2018. I was asked to follow up with Citibank after 14 days for deactivation of IOC card and re-activation of rewards card. Since then I have been calling multiple times but have not got a resolution on either of my cards. Both of them are still in blocked status. When I call on Citibank helpline, they say I need to call collections number[protected] but when I call there and put any of these card numbers, it doesn’t connect me to the executive as according to the helpline my cards are not in overdue status.
This is going on and on and has already created a lot of hassle. Please look into the matter immediately and help in taking the following action:
1. Remove blocked status from both the cards
2. Deactivate IOC card
3. Re-activate rewards card

    Paisa baazar/bank baazar shows its closed but cibil shows active.

    I request you to clear the same and send me noc letter, as i was calling the collection department the call is not getting through to them and its been disconnected.

      I have cancelled my train tickets from irctc on 18th jan 2019 and irctc has confirmed they have refunded amount to razorpay on jan 2018 and razorpay has confirmed they have refunded the amount to bank but in my bank account amount is not credited yet.

        Hello team,
        I buyed one product of worth rs 42, 000 on citi bank credit card but did not clicked on emi in 2018 feb month. So, every month i use to get the message of deduction of 2000 rs and above.
        I thought this is my emi deduction so every month i use to pay 2000 k and above to citi for continues 1 year feb 2019.
        Then, after 1 year i checked the emi were as it is and then i called citi bank customer care they told me that this is minimum due every month they use to debit from my account. So, this worst case that citi don't care about their customers.
        I was not aware that the amount deducted was not an emi and for continues 1 year i paid the amount which was free to citi bank.
        Then they told me to pay whole credit card amount of 40, 000 in one shot and this is horrible for me.
        So, citi bank did not called me or informed that, no emi is been paid they just took free amount of rs 25, 000 from me for 1 year.
        It was there responsibility as well to inform that the amount deducted is not an emi it's a minimum due which they took from me free.
        People who are not aware about such deduction what they should do.. Citibank is fooling them.
        I am very much disappointed from citi bank and i want my free money deducted back of rs 25, 000.

          I visited the gachibowli branch on 31st jan for applying for credit card, but didnt get the service because the concerned person namely seshu was busy in his scheduled meetings and had no time, but promised to call me in sometime. On not receiving any call from his side, i called him back the next day morning, he again said he is busy in his meetings and will give a call in evening, so i asked him the different cards available and their features on mail in meantime, but i didnt receive neither call not mail from his side.
          The next day i. E 2nd feb, i visited the branch again, but there was no one to solve any credit card issues. One of the employee of that branch called another caredit card person of citi bank namely pavan, having a word with him he said he would be coming to my office on monday i. E 4th feb between 12 pm - 5 pm for getting the formalities done there only. On monday, till 4:45, i didnt had any info about his coming to my visit today or not, so i called him up at 4:45 pm and asked him, on asking he realized that he had to come today and then he came around 5:10 pm and all the formalities were done there. Since it was my first credit card, he said i would be knowing in a week, whether i would be getting a card or not and gave me the acknowlgement slip.
          I didnt receive any info from citi regarding it, so i tried to track it on website but was not able to. Yesterday, after a whole week of applying, i called pavan asking the status of my card, he said he is driving and will call back in another 15 mins, and said the application is in hold due to sign mismatch, so he would be coming to my office that day. But again, no call received and he also didnt came to my office. Today, i. E 13th feb, i called him all this, he said "we are not sitting idle here". And so the behavior and the service, i was expecting from one of the good bank "citi bank" all vanished and i asked for cancelling my request for credit card.
          Being in corporate, i didnt expected this customer service from citi bank, would not advise my colleagues also not to experience it.
          Better get a bank which would value their customers and thier time.

            My name is anmol and i am a citi bank customer since 7 years. I used to get a lot of offers from citi bank regarding personal loan and ready credit account.

            But now when i really require a ready credit account, my request is being continuously declined.

            I am being told that there is currently no ready credit offer on my account. I don't understand why citi bank is failing to provide an account when i really need it.

            I am very much disappointed and will have to switch to some other bank if my request is not considered.

              This is Siva Prasad Patro who holds a credit card in your bank.I have been happy with the services rendered upto now(December 2018) and based on the existing relationship I wanted to use the addon card services to my family members.

              Similarly, I have applied for an addon card for my wife on my Credit card (number **** **** **** 8922). last month(23rd December 2018).(Way Bill No..[protected])

              At the time of applying card, I have clearly mentioned that I have moved on from the given address and unable to change adress due to online account lock issue and have asked to redirect it to CITI BANK Gachibowli wherein I can collect it from there.
              But still it went to old address and after multiple attempts to obtain the card at branch( 24th and 25th of Jan2019), I was informed that the given card( New Way Bill No..: [protected]). has been delivered to Bangalore branch and to collect it from there.
              When i called customer care(25.01.2019) for the same, a customer care executive (Harish) was very unhelpful, wherein I was unsatisfied with the services provided and escalated to customer services manager(Rajesh) who said that it was due to miscommunication and he has raised a complaint on blue dart for improper services rendered and said that they would cancel the old card and has raised a new request for same and send it directly to the branch (CITIBANK, Gachibowli).

              But as of now, when i was checking with the new waybill number([protected]) for present status of card delivery it showing that it has again gone to the old address and the same process is repeating as above.

                I had to receive a refund amount of rs 545.88 from bookmyshow. I already got a confirmation from them that the refund amount is credited from their end. But i have still not received any refund amount.
                Please help in providing the refund amount since, they say it has been done from their end.

                  I have paid bajaj allianz insurance through citi services and got confirmation from bajaj that neft transaction made on 25th januray'19 and the amount yet to be transferred to my citi account. What's the procedure to check the status o[censored]tr shared by bajaj allianz? Is there any maximum timeline to get the amount from the time the neft initiated? When i spoke with bajaj, they were unable to share the status and told me to raise a complaint to citi.. I am really upset with the service provided by both citi and bajaj.. Could somebody please help here?

                    I am a regular credit card user since 2015 and always pay my emis always on time. However several months back i lost my job and i was jobless for 4 months.
                    I hold credit card from tata sbi, citi bank and hdfc and i am unable to pay my monthly emi. I got the job now however the salary is only 20000. I have have 4 dependents and lives in a rented house. They have charge triple interest on the capital amount and calls me every day abusing me and asking me if i cant pay the money why did i took the money.

                    They also come at my home and abused me in front of my neighbors i felt so ashamed of myself.
                    They even call up my parents and harrassed them.
                    I cannot pay so much of money altogether.
                    I told them but they are very rude and abusive.

                      Hello, i purchased a bajaj allianz product (Sarve shakti suraksha) from citibank while opening the salary account by citibank. The details which were offered/shared with me are not at all valid now.
                      As per executive from citibank, this will give good return, but i just called bajaj allianz helpdesk and asked them about the statement, they informed that you have only 1lac in your account while i paid 77 installments of rs.1500 each.
                      And also this policy has not vested any bonus till now in 6 years. This is not such policy.
                      In addition, this policy is not visible on their online portal and cannot be added.

                      Bajaj allianz and citibank are cheating the people by making false commitments and by not disclosing the actual facts.

                          My citi credit card was charged for annual fee $99 in november. I called the customer service in early december for asking to waive the charge because my card annual fee always got waived in previous years. The citi customer service representative told me that i could pay it first and called back for waive. I called on january 20 for asking to waive the fee but was told the policy now got changed that i could not has the fee waived nor the fee refund if i close the account. The not refund reason is because i exceeded 5 days due to its new 60 days policy for closing.
                          This is an example of an unfair business practice from citi bank. All these changes look like in darkness. Even in early december the customer service didn't rightly communicate the information with me when i am calling for annual fee charge. I have used this card for over ten years and now i closed this card account with the year fee refund.

                          I closed my long year Citi master card account without the annual fee refund. This is very unfairer to me as I never got informed correctly and it was misleading by the phone conversation with the Citi customer service.

                            This is regarding of outstanding amount against my Primary Citi Bank credit card # [protected] and ad-on card credit card # [protected] in the name of Jayesh D Ladwa for long time.
                            Please note that first credit card (# [protected]) which is still showing outstanding amount for Rs.5816.50 which been already cancelled by me due to annual charges and interest charged by Citibank without my notification and confirmation. All principle amount (which was used by me) has been paid to bank before cancelling. Same have been confirmed by bank and explained many times to the Bank by me, but Citi bank have not cleared that amount due against me.
                            At the same time another credit card (# [protected]) was blocked by Citibank without any notification which was using by me. Due to which I got stuck while travelling. Same have been raised so many times and explained to bank on phone call. No response or help received by Bank till date.
                            Inspite of that I have paid all my outstanding amount against this card with interest and late changes levied by Citibank after getting confirmation that Bank will provide me no due statement against Citibank
                            Although, no communication received by Bank till date also same was reflected against my credit score in CIBIL. My credit score gone down due to that and I have suffered a lot with other bank. Recently bank have rejected by loan application due to low credit score in Citibank.
                            I have always maintain clean record against Citibank and other bank. Attaching Copy of last credit card statement received from Bank.

                            Kindly look into this immediately and take necessary step to change my CIBIL score asap which was wrongly reflecting against me.

                                I am writing to you in regards to the ready credit account number "". The amount of rupees 1.9 lakhs has been debited from my savings account without any notification or authorization towards the ready credit.

                                This amount is my savings cum salary and now i am without a penny for my monthly committments and emi's. I am not sure as to why the amount was deducted as i am getting my salary from the new company to the same citi account.

                                Even if this is not a salary account i was told that in case there is no salary for continuous 3 months then the ready credit with be converted to 20 equal emi's so ideal you should have deducted not more than 20, 000. But that is completely unfair and unjustified for you to deduct the complete money from account and have not got a positive response from you guys for the last 4 days.

                                  I had made a payment of inr 49000 to citibank credit card number 4386-*-*-9782, which was already deactivated, by mistake.
                                  Utr no. - n[protected] of the transaction.

                                  Now when i call customer care to explain my situation that i have made the payment by mistake and please refund the same into my citibank saving account i. E-[protected], which i have done 4 times, there responses are below-
                                  1) date -31st dec 2018, one executive, says you will have to call citi collection centre and gives me 2 numbers to call
                                  2) date-31st dec 2018, other executive, which tells me that it will take 24 hours for the amount to reflect in the system and then we can refund from here only and puts a comment regarding my situation.
                                  3) 1st jan 2019, i call again and the person says that refund has been initiated you will get the amount in your saving account by 3 jan 2019 and ask me to confirm my account number
                                  4) 4th jan 2019, i call again, now the executive is again saying that my query is forwarded to collection centre.

                                  To my surprise, whenever i have called collection centre numbers -

                                  Ivr asks me to enter my credit card number and when i enter that it says the card is not valid (Which i know it is deactivated) and disconnects the call.

                                    Dear consumer complaint forum,
                                    I refer to my various complaint regarding fraudulent transaction on my card, for which neither citibank, citrus fund nor consumer forum could able to give me any reply. I thought consumer complaints forum may have some authority to get reply from citibank, but there was no response. I also noted consumer forum was posting few more similar complaints from the citibank card holders with no result from citibank.
                                    Looking into the non responsive attitude of of citibank, i presume that this may be a well planed fraud and citibank may be collecting corers of rupees by these type of fraudulent dealing from their numerous card holders. Many of them may not notice this type of transaction as the amount is very small for them to look in to it deeply and fight for it.
                                    Any way i will not allow citibank to get away with my hard earned money. I will definitely look in to this issue deeply along with other sufferer once i reach india. However i request consumer forum to be a witness of my complaints, as i am afraid citibank may come out with more similar transaction or impose charges on my card because of stopping use of this card from the day i noticed this fraud. Unfortunately i could not cancel the card till i reach india as citibank 'system' need me physically in india to cancel the card.!!!.

                                      Today morning i got call from this number "[protected]" and they asked me below questions

                                      Caller: you have Visa or Master card
                                      Me: I have Visa Card
                                      Caller: They said you have reward points for rs 4795 and you have outstanding amount around 10000
                                      Me : I asked them from Which bank your calling
                                      Caller: They said CITI bank
                                      Me: later i said "I don't have CITI bank cards" immediately they dropped the call.

                                      I noticed lot of voices behind that and its look like some BPO.
                                      Citibank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                        Hi,
                                        On 28 dec 2018, 3 transactions made by some unknown source from my citi bank credit card.
                                        I immediately called the customer service and blocked the card and raised the dispute.
                                        Card was not stolen and still with me at the time of these transactions.
                                        Also, i didnt receive any otp for these transactions. I always use the otp mode for any online transaction.

                                        The transactions are done in different currency.

                                        11, 900 pkr
                                        12, 000 pkr
                                        11, 800 pkr

                                        Kindly proceed the refund process as these transactions are fraudulent.
                                        Citibank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
