Hello Sir/Madam,

My Self Pankaj Kumar Gautam is a Credit Card Holder of Citi Bank.
I have some problems and doubts with my Credit Card,

(1)- I made a purchase of Rs. 40,000.00/ in month of November, which was having 4 installement of 1 x 20,000.00/ and 3 x 6667.00/.
I got the statement in mont of December 2007 at time, made payment on time Rs. 20152.00/.

(2)- After that, I never got any statement by POST or email, while my email address is already register in their system, and I am continously getting mails from Citi Bank Corporation about shopping offers and Credit limit Increase.

(3)- Today, I made a call at Citi Bank's call center, then came to know, I have a huge amount of late payment due to payment is not made in month of January.
and my email address is wrong entered in Bank's system as pankaj.[protected]@viragelogic.co, here m is being missed, and the person who attended me, told that system is sending me statements from normal post and email also.
Please consider the condition,

With wrong email address Bank is not getting any Failure Notification.
Every private organizations web addresses are ending with .com not by .co
How I am getting offers and Notification emails from Banks system.

This situation is really harrasing me to pay extra money as late amount, and copeing with Banks system's mistake.

If this is the way of Bank for business and earning money, I will not suggest any person to use Citi Bank's Credit Card.

And one more thing, I am bound by Citi Bank to continue with Medical Insurance, while I was not interested to have this policy at time of phone call. The person who was telling me at phone about this policy, was in so hurry. After explaining the plan, told "OK Mr. Gautam, Your Policy will start from next month, Thank you Have a nice day." and cut the phone without asking my permission.

So many time, I have requested to stop this policy, but every time getting failure because some one is telling me
I have to request at Chennai office, some one is asking my previous payment made, and so many different excuses.

I will really appreciate, if you can help me.

THIS IS IN REGARDS WITH THE CREDIT CARD THAT I HAVE WITH CITIBANK. THEY CANCELLED THE CARD WITHOUT MY AUTORISATION AND REPLACED THE CARD WITHOUT ASKING ME

I did not ask you for replacement card that you have sent, i already have the old card ending with 1001 which was active until you have sent the replacement one. I want to know what am i getting with going around with you guys since this one month and lose my time and resources trying to contact you regarding the issue. I want to get a waiver on the outstanding amount so that i can end the relationship with CITIBANK CREDIT CARDS!!!So I am going to pay off the MASTERCARD GOLD ACCOUNT with you people and stop using your CC services anymore. So i dont want to elongate this anymore trying to contact you through email and phone all the time. I work in night shifts and its really hard to manage with you and all my other work.Considering the fact that i had to manage with you people with the Standing instructions and all the other things it is really frustrating and causing so much of problems to me.

And what steps are you going to take in regards to this? Because i am really frustrated about the service. You cancel the card without my consent and take the payment on time???And you dont let me do any transactions but take the money out of my Suvidha account right on time.
And what is the appropriate action that you are going to take for the error that is caused from your end? And i want to know how long will it take. Because as you know as per the T&C you are not supposed to cancel the card without the customers consent.Which you did eventually.

I had asked Citibank to give me the information on how to cancel the Gold card that I have with Citibank number 5546 **** **** 1001. Without my consent they had cancelled my card and it was not showing up in my online account anymore. And considering this fact then I would have not to pay the outstanding amount that I am supposed to pay. And just to remind you I am not liable to pay according to you. And I am not going to. I have all the records of contacting you and asking for the information. I had requested on how to cancel the card. I am going to take it in a legal way and have this issue taken care of.

Citibank — took out money without my concent

FOR UNFAIR PRACTISES OF RECOVERY OF MONEY WITHOUT MY CONSENT.

I got a life time free citi bank credit card.In sep 2006. The executive from citi bank assured me that there is no charges till the life. But Now I m repeatedly getting some due amount bills and messages. I havn't used the card even a single time. I dont know why should I pay these amount. So I want to canel my card .

Citibank Credit Card (Autocard) — Billed for purchase not done by me

I have been billed for a purchase that has not been made by in the month of April 2009. On noting the protest was lodged thru email and relevant Customer Declaration Form was submitted on 3rd April 2009 before the Card statement was generated. The Provisional credit was done till the amount was settled by the bank.

Even after 25 days i am still receiving SMS and emails, asking me to make the payment and repeated emails to Citi Bank failed to generate a result.

What to do ??

citibank auto card — extra charges not cleard yet

my credit card umber is.[[protected]].the statement from bank was late in january.and when i called at custmer care, they said it will be deducted next month.. but it is not deducted when i call they dont give proper response they just keep forwarding the call ..and every next month my dues are getting more and more..
2nd i wanted to stop my polices which i dont want the same responce is here also..

plese give responce..as soon as possible.
I am a victim of such a similar situation when a fraud of Rs 2700 was done on my Citibank CC and Citibank refuses to co operate, forcing me to make the payment.

Citi bank is resorting to 3 grade practices where even if the funds are cleared by customer bank and credited to citi bank they are not credited for several days, these catche of huge funds are in mean while routed off shore in international markets

yesterday one female from your organisation contacted me in the morning while i was working in my office and told me that i have been selected by iho for some free special package of medical offers,money card & gift vouchers which was absolutely free. i asked her time and again that i will not be interested in the offer if there is any payment or charges.but she told me that i was been specially selected for this offer and that it was new promotional offer, which is absolutely FREE.

City bank card Chennai — Non response for credit card

I received a credit card replacing existing visa ,valid from 9/11card8607.When i called on phone 28522484 chennai customer care , the recorded message says it could not read the card.I have not received IPIN and when i tried to register on line ,it also did fail.Hence i have written to city Bank,ANNASALAI.Chennai asking them to look into this.
Kindly look in to correctness,genuine s of card issued and see that IPIN is allotted.I have not transacted on the new credit card mentioned above.

    Citi financial G-239 ,nariana vihar branch , new delhi just make me fool. First they calls me to my cell and say u r eligible to get loan amount somewhere around 35 to 50 k in rate of interest 18% to see ur previous bike loan. Den i get sometime after mine hectic schedule i find there nobody care to customer. Even i spend two hours just freely. My question to u that what u think about us. Are we beggers?

      have ben charged, which is requested to be corrected, as firstly I
      received the bill quite late, secondly on getting information of
      depositing the amount required, I immediately deposited the
      desired amount but it was with all these above referred charges
      which are charged from me for your mistake of not sending the bill in time, and even when on demand on phone I immediately
      responded and deposited the full amount desiredby you.
      Now kindly wave off all these unwanted charges levied on me and inform me else I will surrender this card.

        Do not approach citi financial of the citi group for any kind of loan. They are run by a bunch of incompetent imbeciles and have no sense of professionalism. Specially their kochi office in kerala, which is just very shady. They have two people in their office including their "manager" srikanth who pretends to be the most important and busiest person in the financial industry as is typical of a person who knows very little of what his job need him to know.

        Once you have applied for a loan, their checks (On home and work addresses) are a joke and done by part time college students. Their processing is another joke and customer service and care doesn’t exist. It is advisable to go to other local finance companies with higher rate of interest than this incompetent company. At least you have peace of mind!

        Please avoid citi financial.Institutions like these are a black spot in our banking and finance industry. I will be reporting my experience to reserve bank of india and the banking ombudsman.

        i am also a loan customer of this company . when these people have assigned us loan they have taken 19 cheques for 19 installments as amount was 23 thousand.we have paid all the installments maximum by cheque and rest by cash, now only one is left .but the loan provider is saying only 15000 is about to be paid, which is equally wrong, as at the time of loan sanctioning we have agreed on norms of 19 installments of 1219 /month.they r not responding well and i am really surprised as we were thinking we r free with installments but again a new tension.please avoid Citi Financial.         It was my biggest mistake of life that i approached CitiFinancial for a two wheeler loan.
        They do not have any systamatic and transparent dealings.
        when i am also paying my each and every EMI regular and without any delay from last one year they do not have any concerns for thier customers.
        No one is there to explain the things or process and even no one is there to listen.
        almost 12 months completed from the date of loan sanctioned and till date i havent recieved a single piece of document/information from their side.
        Their cheques used to get clear in my other account in PNB via ECS on every 5th of month and also my statement of PNB is showing that till date no cheque is bounce and all the cheques been cleared on the date suppose to be.

        My name is Kalpesh Manilal Tanna, and I have never ever applied for any type of loan with Citi Financial. However, I have been receiving calls from Citifinance asking for one Mr.R.G.Udaykumar. on my cell phone.

        For your information, I have never known such person at any times. I am being harrassed from your telephonic staff several times in a day. This has been happening since more than 3 months. Earlier I have also registered a telephonic complaint, the complaint no. being "1649051" on 02.05.08.

        It has been more than 2 months now, but there has been no change in your attitude. You are therefore requested to kindly stop giving me phone calls, or else, I shall be forced to take some serious steps.

        citifinancials — Frauds and Decievers

        First They issued me a peronal Loan REF NO : 7196749 i had been a prompt payer via RBI ecs --each emi -of Rs 1575.
        Meanwhile I was uneccessary requested rather presuurised to TOP UP MY LOAN and issued me a second loan ref: no 12726919 BUT VERY SURPRISING THE CHEQUE THEY ISSUED TO ME IS BOUNCED (stopped by Citi fin ancials) even then they started taking my emi @ 2060-00 permonth for 4-6 months then they again reverted back to EMI of 1575-00 permonth. THEY DONT WANT TO INCLUDE THE EMIS OF 2060=00 in my account . THe BOUNCED CHEQU IS STILL WITH ME .
        THE SECURITIES CHEQUES (BLANK) 6 Nos taken from me are not yet returned .NOW THEY THREATEN ME THT THEY WILL LODGE A COMPLAIN WITH CREDIT BUREA INFO LTD>

In a simple way i just want to make you aware that 15 months ago i took a personal loan of Rs. 20, 000 (Twenty Thousand). for three yearsI just recieved Rs. 19304 reducing file charges ect... I had already paid 15 installment of Rs. 998, about Rs. 150000 (fifteen) till now.
        Now when i wanted to clear all my dues and visited the finance office for Termination . They have given me details that i have to pay Rs. 15, 725 rupees more. It means what actual amount i used is just near about Rs.3000. IT MEANS FOR USING RS.3000 I HAD ALREADY PAID RS. 15, 000(fifteen thousand) It is rediculas.

        I moved from Chandigarh to Gurgaun in January and I bought a new vodafone connection, number [protected] from Galleria Market on January 16, 2008. I started receiving SMS and Phone calls from CITI FINANCIAl, from February 05, 2008 on wards. They ask for Kamal Kumar. Where as my name is Amit and I have nothing to do with Citifinancial. They abused me several times and moreover they ask for me to pay the loan amount which Kamal kumar hadd taken. 100 times I gave complaint number is 1611941. I get a call after every 10 minutes and it is hard for me to digest. My boss pissed off on my frequent call and gave me warning. Please look into it. My line of business does not allow me to change the number. These days I am in Noida.

When i was signed the copy of agreement (the photocopy i do have with me) it was clearly mention that my rate of interest will be 9% reducing balance and emi will be 1400+ but during the clearence of first EMI I come to know that it was 1519 and with further discussion with the branch i came to know that it was totaly changed and became 20% flat which was unacceptable at all but still the bank manager told me that you bare of six month after that we has a top up scheme in which you will be benifited. so i wait for 6 month then i called up the CUstomer care for top up they told me you have to wait for another 2 month when i tried to contact that branch manager of citifinacial (paikpara branch) i came to know the manger had left the organisation and the branch has already been closed. Then i mail the customer care regarding the whole story and told them that stop this immediately since i was out of town for some months.Then a manager of kankurgachi branch come in to picture and tried his best to resolve it but still it was pending and i stopped paying the EMIs.They are telling if you foreclose the loan then you have to pay 36000+ while i had already paid them 13000 (Approx) why shuld i pay 36000/- when the total fault is there. Please help and suggest.
        Enquiry time they giveing the assurance for rate of interest is 19%, and payment time they charging the rate of interest is 35%, without notice, so please consider the defference amonut of the rate of interest give back to reembrocement,

        I have been getting calls on my residence no[protected] in chandigarh, daily for the past 3 months from citi financial asking for some Mr Radha Krishanan .These calls come between 3-4pm daily.Inspite of telling them that this is not his no.there has been no respite. I am just recovering from surgery and my rest time is disturbed by these persistent calls. I suggest you do something about them or I shall be forced to take stricter action.A company like yours should be more up to date about your client's where abouts.Kindly do the the needful at the earliest .

        Whatever I read in this forum is totally genuine and correct. I am experience the same problems since 1 year. I have availed a home loan of Rs.10.00 Lakhs from Citifinancial in March 2008. I got only Rs.9.50 Lakhs after deducting their charges, insurance etc. etc.

        KINDLY NOTE THE PRESENT RATE OF INTEREST : 16.5% (15% AT THE TIME OF AVAILING LOAN).

        I have now paid 14 instalments of Rs.13, 996/- each, thus totalling approx. to Rs.2 Lakhs, but when I checked with citifinancial for the outstanding principal amount, they told me the balance as Rs.9, 88, 000/-. I don't know how they are calculating. Even after paying Rs.2 lakhs (14 instalments), my outstanding balance is Rs.9, 88, 000/- (out of loan amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs). They are cheating like this many people.

        Our hard earned money going to the hands of these cheats and cunning people. I my child asks for a new dress or something, I gave an answer NOT NOW, but all my money has been eaten up these fraud people.

        Kindly suggest me to get rid of this and shall I approach consumer court.

        CITIfinancial — Finance Charges on Finance Charges

        Please advise.
        I paid Citi Financial Balance due $2199.21 posted by Citi on April 9, 2009, a $16.56 Finance Charge was charge on 4/27/2009. Now on a current statement Citi is charging $15.00 late fee and $1.69 and $.31 on the $16.56 original finance charge.
        I just returned home from a six week family emergency and I called Citi to question the 2 statements.
        Before I left town the end of April I verified I had a ZERO balance, to make sure payment was received, a
        Citi representative told me I did not call to get a payoff and I owe the $16.56 and the late fee and finance charges on finance charges. I have a fax number Citi rep. gave me to dispute these charges.
        What are my rights?

        I can't agree with you more. I was serviced by a Citi Personal Wealth Management FA named Shiwei Dong at the 176-50 Union Turnpike, Flushing, NY branch. She provided the worst service ever. Not only does she give a bad attitude toward her customers, she also reject to serve people with no clarity of reason stating she can't do anything else. What does that mean? I wonder why she is even a FA if she doesn't have an answer for a simple back-office operational task.

        I request you to plz help me in the matter coz its sometimes irritating...

        There is some gentleman calling my wife(again and again) from the no [protected] for some recovery claiming to be from Citi-Financial. He says he wants to speak to Namrata which my wife has denied again and again. he says that he will keep calling till he is put through to Namrata. Can someone tell me a forum where I can complain about this and if by any chance Citi reads this, you are requested to take suitable action to stop harrassing others who are not at all concerned with Citi.

        citifinancials — Abusive Phone calls

        Offlate we have been getting calls from[protected] from someone called Babu claiming to be a collection representative of Citifinancials. The truth is we have had no financial dealings with Citifinancials whatsoever. This has becomes extremely distressing and annoying. We do not know who we should be contacting. We have already notified Citifinancials. They ask us to report to BSNL, BSNL ask us to report to Citifinancials. Then they ask us to report to the cell phone operator. And now after being bounced off like a tennis ball from place to place we have no option.

          This is in regards to the an ongoing issue (since NOv 03,2007).

          It pains me to write to you about this but since the day I’ve applied for an India Bulls account and chose CITIBANK as my bank, I have faced nothing but inconvinience .

          For opening an account with INdia Bulls, I had provided a citibank cheque .907738 for Rs. 50,900.

          The amount was debited from my Citibank account ending with 4226 on November 3,2007 however was not credited to my India Bulls account .
          The amount is lying in India Bulls suspense account ever since due to a signature mismatch .

          I have been in touch with my RM Rahul( INDIA BULLS ) to get this rectified .
          I’ve been patiently waiting for this issue to be resolved, but I must say that even after waiting for more than a 100 days now my problem has not been resolved .

          Rahul wanted me to provide a transaction proof on the Citibank letterhead , which was duly provided .
          After escalating this matter to India Bulls , I was asked to wait for 48 hrs before I get a response .

          Durga prasad from India Bulls called me and very bluntly stated that unless I get the statement from citibank stating that this cheque was deposited in some India Bulls account Number they would not be able to help me . The money will be in the suspense account forever if I don’t submit the same .

          I spoke with citibank , unfortunately in your records it shows that this amount was credited to Pooja Khanna , India Bulls name or account number is nowhere to be found .

          I requesed citibank to send me a proof of payment which was promptly sent however the name in whose favour the cheque was written is incorrect .
          I requested for a copy of the cheque to be sent to me so I could provide the same to India Bulls . I spoke with 5 diffrent reps regarding that and was given a brush off saying its against CITI's policy to provide copies of the cheque .

          I called again and spoke to another rep who assured me that i will get the copy in a week's time and was provided a refernce # : 6473 , another ref # : 7563795 .. and so on .

          After several phone calls, complaint reference numbers and hours on the phone my money is still missing .
          I've been a citi customer for the last 8 years and this is not wha I expect for being a loyal customer .

          Please help me as I am totally at your mercy now . It is not a small amount and is my hard-earned money .

            On 8th Dec 07I requested for an addon card from Citi Bank in the name of my wife Shailaja Manocha.
            The request was not entertained as they pleaded that an addon card is already issued in her name. I told them this card has not been used or misplaced. Kindly cancel the same and issue a new one. Nothing happened.
            On 22nd Dec 07 when nothing happened, I again rang up to foolw up. They promised that card will be sent shortly. I received
            an SMS on the same. Still nothing happened.

              2) As regards (Card # ending with -****), please be aware that I had gone in for a settlement . I have all the relevant documents sent by your Bank on the same. As agreed, I have been regularly paying all the EMIs on time. Hence I fail to understand that how come I have Rs52075.99 due on this date even after paying more than 4 EMIs.

              3) Please note that my phone number (ending with ***) as registered in your database is registered with TRAI as a "Do Not Call" number for any kind of solicitation.

              I hereby instruct you for the last time to:
              Remove my phone number against Raju Poppanna's Account.
              Recheck the status of my Card Payments (for Card ending with ****) and send me a confirmation mail (and not any calls or SMSes).
              Completely stop any kind of solicitations/reminders on my cellphone.
              I hope you immidiately work on these 3 items and confirm me the same with a new ref: number.

              Citibank — Credit Card statement not sent on tim

              My Name is divya Shukla and i have a citi bank credit card ...
              i used that card twice the total purchase was 26000
              A few purchases were made in april 2007
              One purchase was made in November amounting to 17000
              This purchase was made by the credit card because the citibank debit card was not working even when i had adequate balance in my account.
              I was forced to use the credit card.

              The citibank people have NEVER sent a statement to me.

              They simply deducted the minimum payment from the bank saving account. without informing me about the outstading amount and the breakup or the interest.
              ...for which i received the
              statement only for a couple of months ...and citi bank use used to deduct the minimum amount from my bank account...

              Every time i called the citibank personnel they informed me that the minimum amount which they were deducting regularly would lead to a reduction in the outstanding 26000 and hence no fine will be applicable.
              However despite of paying around 7000 through such deductions the amount has magically gone up to 32000
              While i was making the regular minimum payment the citibank debit card stopped working and the Citibank people refused to give the new debit card stating that the date of birth is wrong and they also refused to issue a new check book without getting it rectified.
              Now i fail to understand that if my date of birth is wrong in the records then how are they authorizing all the previous transactions.

              The citibank personnel INTENTIONALY did not send the credit card statement so that I donot get to pay the money on time and they get to charge interest as well as late fees.
              Now without a STATEMENT or A CHECKBOOK or A DEBIT CARD how am I supposed to pay the bill??????

              This trap is created intentionaly to bully the customers into paying more money than what they owe.
              I have just spent 26000 and they have already taken more than 7000 from me in the form deductions and payments and the balance is still 32000

              No explainations No statements No breakup provided.

              The executives are rude and do not explain the breakup and expect rhe customer to pay what ever exorbitant amount they are asking

              This is truely shameful of a big bank like citibank. They are misusing there power and will not be successful in cheating the customers of their hard earned money.

              Please help me in getting some answers to my many questions.

              The no. I am possessing right now was allocated to some Vijay Kumar and i used to get call for the same person daily 4-5 times. Initially i tought i should inform and i did the same about the change in allocated person.
              But the keep on calling till now, I am planning to sue them but do not know how. I am soon going to consult the lawyer, if i'll get the call now.

              Citibank — Wrong billing

              I am using citibank card no. [protected] since last 20 years. One of my cheque was returned due to technical fault. I immediately deposited the another cheque and requested for waive of the late payment charges. The bank did not take any action in the matter and continue to charge interest and late payment charges.

              I wrote to bank so many times. But nothing happened. I am usign this card since last 20 years and every time full due payment is paid within stipulated time.

              I called so many times, but no proper response received from any person except giving me futher phone numbers to call.

              for the past 10 days, i have been receiving calls from people claiming to be from Citibank. They insist that one of my cards (which probably expired about 10 yearsback!) has some unpaid dues which run into a few lakhs now !!! they suggest settlement in this case . As far as we recollect, no such dues are pending, but unfortunately we do not have documents to prove this.

              How do these these people gain access to classified info as in our current resi address & tel number, office address (they even tried calling up my current office to get my mobile number, claiming to be my best friend !!)
              can harassment be any different from this ???

              Lets all get together and ask banks to have PIN number typeid in while making a transaction in either credit or debit card.               Citibank — Personal Loan-Citibank

              I had applied for a personal loan to Citibank around 20 days back. They have collected all the documents (ID proof, salary slip, photograph and cheques) from me. They used to come up with one new document everyday which I had to submit. However, they have still not passed my loan. The reason was that i got less salary (because of pay cuts in my office) for just one month. My salary account is with Citibank. Some person called Simi, who is a senior person there assured me that i will get it soon. But he isn't picking my call neither are other executives. I really want to sue Citibank.
              I have been using credit card no...3000 under the name of alok kumar for the last about 3 yrs. I always remained punctual in making my payments. however, due to technical fault this time one cheque of Rs.4611/- was dishonoured and thereafter on recieving the message I made payment immediately through cheque. But thereafter instead of taking lenient view or instead of waving miscellaneous charges, demand of Rs.4611/- besides demands of other due have been made. I really fail to understand the manner and mode of preparation of statement. I have no grudge to make the payment, but why to make payment of Rs.4611/- again. Ironically in the same statement acknowledgement of recieving of the cheque of Rs.4611/- has been given vide reference number 282771. I tried to contact one of the executives of customer care but failed to get in touch any one of them. Kindly look intothe matter and send the correctly calculated statement.

              I have taken a home loan fof Rs.9 Lacs for 9 years from citi bank in Jan'06 @ 11.50 % but bank had automatically increased the rate of interest from 11.50 % to 15.75 % and closed my home laon account by paying a closure amount of Rs.7060613.32 on 16/04/09 but bank had withdraw 2 EMI's from my bank and till date I could not get any refund when I talk to their customer care no's they said we have alredy courier you the refund of Rs.4549 and Rs.13414 but till date I could not get refund of any amount please help me out i have all the details with me

              Citibank — harrasment

              I hold a Master card of Citibank.

              For the last few days, I'm being harrassed by Citibank Collection calls. I deposited the cheque for the due amount much before the date. Yet, I get atleast 3 calls a day to know which bank is the cheque of, what is the amount and the cheque No. All this while I'm at work, in meetings. They continuosly give calls.

              My agony doesn't end here, from the same number - +[protected] and +[protected], for the last two days I'm getting blank calls minimum 4 to 5 calls in a day.

              can someone here advise me on what course of action should I take to curb this .

              I had a credit card from citi bank(xxxxx3015), i never applied for that card nor i ve sent any documents or paper work to citi for applying that card, , they forcefully send me the card, , what ever i used that card and every month make payment till da time i was employed. since dec08 i am unemployed, i called up citi bank several times to settle da card but they ve not taken any action .and let the interest go high . since jan09 i ve spoken to citi cr card guys several time and offered a settlement amount as per my affordability, they always said, they ll send Representative with settlement document, andi was agreed to pay the settled amount in 4 emi s (in 4chqs)...but they never send anyone with final papers ... i spoke to SABARWAL collection agency (who work for citi), they also promised but didnt do anything in action ... today monday/13/2007 early in morning (around 10 am) I recieved a call from a guy NAMED ROHIT SINDHUJA (cell# [protected]), who claimed himself from the citi collection dept, called me and harassed me .. he threaten me that he ll come to residence and ll insult me in front my neighbours if i dont pay the lump sum amount at one go, , , , I ASK HIM MORE THAN 10 TIMES FOR HIS SUPERVISOR(PH/EMAIL)BUT HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE DETAILS, , , he also used sarcastic sentences, like " DONT U UNDERSTAND ENGLISH??" AND " HEY HEY, DONT SHOW ME UR ACCENT " and "I WILL COME ALONG WITH MY SUPERVIOSR, AND SEE HOW CAN I HARRASE U "...he was very rude over the call, and he threaten me that he ll spoil my social prestige, , i told him "as per law if i cant afford, u cant force me to sell myself to met ur debts, what ever i can afford i can pay only that much" but he didnt listen to me he scream and shout on me and insult me like anything ... he even refused to disclose his employee code ...

              Citibank — addded credit to first citizen card even after paying the amount in cash

              my dad went to the shoppers stop & bought a diamond earing for my mom on november 2005.thereby he paid the amount of 13, 700/- cash for the purchased earing.after which he filled the form for first citizen.the people there told him that he will receive that card after 2 days from filling the form.mom didn't like those earings so after a few days she went for exchanging it and got it exchanged.
              years after that we started getting letters from citi bank demanding the credit of 13, 700 which according to them we had used for buying those earings.

              Citibank — Home loan extra EMI charged than actual

              Dear Sir/Madam

              I had taken a loan of Rs 18,68,000/- on 30.04.2004 from Citibank.
              My actual rate of interest is 11.50% . Thus EMI as per the outstanding should be Rs 18400. But the company showed me wrong calculations and have signed a ECS as Rs 25000/- EMI which has been getting cleared from my account from 01.08.2008.
              Having talked to Citibank Customer Excecutive and bringing in notice about my more EMIs charged they accepted that i have been paying around Rs 7000/- more every month for last 12 months.

              I told them to cahnge my ECS clearance as per the actual EMIs. To this they replied to me that i have some overdues that i have to be cleared first and have sent me statement of homeloan right from day one. Now i am unable to understand the penal interest nor able to spot out the payments of extra EMIs paid by myself.

              I am really in big problem as the bank cheated me in calculations and took more EMIs than actual and now are not changing the same as per the actual EMIs.

              Please help as it has become a BIG BIG burden on me . I am under tremendous tension because of this .

              I am a customer of citi bank holding credit card #[protected] and loyal customer to them since many years.

              loan offered by the banks customer care through a phone call stating that i got a preapproved loan top-up while i was regularly paying the installment, only last installment was due to city bank towrds my loan payment.during their approach the marketing people said the last installment from the previous loan which was due is waved off and the top up loan(RS-95000/-) is approved with the 12 emi only where as there is no obligation left in the previous loan, which can authentically be verified through their recording at the time of offer which they keep it as proof OF CONVERSATION .

              I agreed with payment schedule and i was regularly paying th installment of top-up loan in addition to this i was paying citibank for insurance of the loan.since the day i got the credit card..Out of the 12 EMI, i had paid the 10TH EMI only, 2 emi was to be paid by me, suddenly i was seroiusly fall ill due to paralysis the same was informed to them by phone to the bank to collect it with a weaks time as grace time on humanitarian basis then i came to know that i have to some thing else for which is not at reasonable too, my family member was in touch with them asking to scrutnize the fact of my illness and the genieuness in paying the installment even after the harrassment i am facing every day by the bank people.

              I personnally requested the bank official to accept my payment which is due by me i.e 9081x2=18162/-+9000/ towards purchase by credit card only, but refused to accept this amount stating that iout standing is arround 50, 000/-inc of preveious paid loan also.

              Citibank — (not so) "valued Citibank customer"

              I must agree with other reports of the lack of response from executives at Citi. I received a mailing that given today's technologies, was unbelievable. First the letter was addressed to Sample A. Sample, 123 Any Street..... The salutation of Dear Sample A. Sample was crossed out and my name handwritten above. It was personalized at the top (again handwritten) with "this is an awesome offer that you qualify for..." Even that was in error inasmuch as the envelope was postmarked several days after the offer ended.

              A month ago I emailed the SVP whose name appeared in the signature line of the letter with scanned copies of the document and envelope. Someone read it per the Outlook receipt, but still not one word from her or anyone else from Citi regarding this error.

              Seriously considering closing my "valued" account.

              Initially i was paying total amount due but then as my credit limit was increased and because of financial requirements was able to pay only minimum amount due which i havent defaulted till date..its been close to two years now,i have been paying close to 20000 every month..Becuase of the huge commitment have i am forced to withdraw cash from my limit which the bank happily permits me to withdraw despite exceeding my limit..
              I am being Harassed by collections call day in and day out and continuously being tortured even on sundays..The worst part is despite me telling them not to disturb in the mornings as i work in night shifts i am still getting calls..Haven't defaulted in the card yet.Till date my payments are made before the due date..
              Same is the case with my ICICI credit card where i have an outstanding of around 65000 and same tortures
              Now i am onto a situation where i cannot afford to pay such huge amount becuase of health reasons and other commitments
              No peace of mind whatsover..Kindly help me at the earliest

But not reverted by them for getting no dues certicate. Now in the year 2010 citi bank has hired agency peopel from Delhi vide their contact no.[protected] and named as Mr.Siddharth and harassing me thrice in a day also demanding to deposit Rs.61000/- to pay. As there is no any outstanding I am not accepting the same. I am asking him to send email id that also they are not giving. I am doubtful that name calling Mr.Siddharth is also not correct. If conitnue to harrase I will lodge the polic complaint.

              I had been using CITIbank Credit cards -- way back till 2005 after which i had gone in for a settlement of the cards for which they gave me a letter . As per that i had paid to the collection agencies and i made my last payment in 2006 FEB.

              After that from May onwards i never received any statements or any intimations from the bank --- now all of a sudden from Octbober 2009 i receive calls from the DSA that my card was not settled and my outstanding has become a huge sum. Then the DSA told me a payment of 5000 rupees would take care of my settlement which i did not adhere to. So phone calls keep coming from several nos and names and also my family has been mentally harrased over phone calls to my residence no.

              How could the bank wait for 4 yrs to realise that my account is unsettled. Also i have decided to go to court against Citibank in this regard. What do you suggest.

              If the amount was debited from savings account against the outstanding of credit card or any other loan which was outstanding - then nothing unusual - when you sign the loan agreement or credit card agreement you give the bank right to do whatever with the credit amount if anything is outstanding.

              Citibank — Amount Cr. to Citibank Credit Card account via 'Refund' but not accepted as payment!

              Hi,
              I am using a Citi Bank Gold Credit Card and had an outstanding balance of Rs.4085.53 for the statement generated on 23/07/2010, due to be paid by 09/08/2010. Now, I received a refund from Make My Trip for an amount of Rs.4285 on 26/07/2010, thus a credit was made to my account for an amount greater than the due amount and before the due date. Now, I reckoned that this would be considered as a payment by Citi Bank and thus I do not need to pay any further amount for that period. However, I was shocked to see than in the current month's statement, the amount due (Rs.4085.53) has been mentioned as unpaid and heavy charges and interest has been levied for non-payment of due charges. I called up CitiBank Call Center and they told me that the credit due to refund is not considered as payment and thus the interest and non-payment charges have been levied.

              Now, the fact is that nowhere in the terms and conditions its mentioned that a refund (this refund was also for an amount which was spend in the previous month itself) would not be considered as payment. Also, the fact is that CitiBank has received the money in their account 'before' the due date, so why was it not considered as payment resulting in such heavy charges being levied.

              Please help me to understand whether this amount levied is valid under the law specially since the terms and conditions of the card do not mention anything in this regard, and so taking the facts into account, a credit was made against my name by Make My Trip for an amount which was greater than the amount due and was made before the due date.

              Citibank — Spoiling of credit rating and non-issuance of statements

              Ihave two credit cards from Citibank under usince September 2004. My credit limits were raised four times after RBI intervention from Rs 55000 to Rs 188000. Due to unavoidable reasons, I was unable to make minimum payments between July 2008- Octpber 2008. Their collection calls continued during this duration and stopped when I made a one-time payment of Rs 111000 on 30 Oct 2008. However, in Feb 2009, they reduced my credit limit and confirmed having reported the same to CIBIL. Now since last two months I have not received my statements like many times in the past.

              Due to non-disclosure of their staff, I am unable to get any response /understanding as to why my rating was lowered due to four months' bad performance. I have now used up limits as indformed by them earlier today vide a phone call from their Gurgaon office's number[protected].

              They are also sending me promotional emails inspite of having confirmed in 2006 against doing so. Additionally, they have also declined me a Jet Priviledge Credit Card due to "our policy of not issuing more than two credit card accounts to one person". (For this fact, I don't have any written communication - justsome telephonic calls made to their customer service number[protected].

              Please advse what to do.

              Citibank — Cheque posted lost by the bank and now they are sending a collection agent to the house

              I had placed a cheque(Rs.5000) on the 9th of May 2011 in the drop box at Besant Nagar Citi Bank ATM. The Cheque NO. O35993 Union Bank Of India - Madras Veterinary College branch. They have lost the cheque and are insisting that I have not payed and have also sent a letter from the collection manager Dated 28/05/2011. I have already complained regarding this to Mr.Murali and the complaint number is 5416. In March of this year , that is just two months back the same thing had happened and I had given a stop payment and issued a new cheque and two days later the old cheque was sent to the bank. Nobody wants to take the resposibility of tracing the cheque ! but they are insisting on the payment even by means of sending people home to collect it. Please check the history of my payments - I have always payed on time. So when a complaint has been placed it is the responsibility of the organisation to do the needful and not to harass the client.                   i am an account holder with citibank for almost 7yrs now. i had a suvidha account which means it was a salaried account. I was offered a ready credit facility over the phone where 5% of the principle amt along with theinterest would be deducted every month from my account. then i changed jobs and hence my salary account changed. The cooloections dept of CITIBANK the agent informed me that since no salary hasbeen credited to the account hence the deduction would be 10% of the principle amt which was notinformed but I still agreed to the same. the month of Dec 07 i was offered by the same agent to convert the ready credit amt to an Easy EMI loan and I had to make a inital payment of 2559RS and the emi would be deducted from a different account from the month of FEB 08. whichi agreed the to .The payment got cleard on the 28 Dec. hence thinking everything has been taken care of . I deposisted a check into the CITIBANK SUVIDHA ACCOUNT of close to 70,000RS. IN the month of JAN 08 the first week iteself I see debits of 16,000 RS and 6,000 odd amt and also interest ebing debited towards the ready crdeit.To top it all on the 17 jan the final debit of 25,772RS was taken out leaving me with NOTHING. I called thebank and the service dept adv me to call the Collections dept. which i did when i spoke to the same agent he said the EASY EMI was subject to approval and was declined in my case. This came as a shock because i was not told that earlier and I have my mom in the hospital with Bills to be paid.

                  Citibank — Unauthorised request on my account

                  I have a savings account with Citibank.Few days before I had taken a Vodafone Postpaid Sim & as per their policy i had to pay the bills through ECS.So did that with my citibank account.Later in Jan.2009 I gave a request for cancellation for the ECS only for Vodafone but citibank cancelled all the ECSs on my account.Due to this one of the EMIs for my personal loan got bounced .I have never defaulted for any payment till date . This is affecting my credit record & also I would be penalised for the ecs bounce from the other bank(bank from which personal loan was taken ).Please help as there was an unauthorised change done on my account of deactivating the ECS for the personal loan.

                    Hi,
                    I had taken a loan amounting to Rs 40,000/- and Rs 15000/- 2 yrs back and i had allready sent out the cheq amounting to the same 2 yrs back and stating clearly that the cheq is against the loan number so and so. Insted of closing the loan they have put this amount to excess payment and have been deducting the emi from this amount. now i get a statment stating that i need to pay the 2000 rs which is the emi for the loan which is taken. When i called up they told that i had to pay up 19000Rs. which is outstanding.

                    Please let me know how should i go about this.

                      Dear Sir/Madam,
                      This has reference to my very old Credit Card No. [protected] and the further communication with you on the same, whereby after a long gap of almost 2.5 years I got a call that there is outstanding amount of approx Rs.40000 against the said card.
                      Let me narrate the entire issue related to the said card:-
                      1)I got the Citi Card when I was at Jamshedpur and everything was going fine and use to make all my o/s payment on time.

                      2)After certain period o[censored]se, I was not getting the monthly statement on my given address and the same was communicated to customer care.

                      3)As I was NOT getting the statement and therefore after sometime I started getting the call for making the o/s payments which I was not aware.

                      4)On repeated request, I was handed over few duplicate statements by Citi representative at Jamshedur and twice I have made the cash payment at different places while on official tour.

                      5)But thereafter even with repeated request to collection man/call center I did not get monthly statements.

                      6)As I was not getting the statement and started receiving the due amount payment calls every month, I literally got fed up out of this service and request for closure of my credit card account by cutting the card into 4 pieces and by sending it to Chennai office.

                      7) Thereafter after few months I was moved from Jamshedpur and now after gap of almost 2.5 years I was given call from legal department that I escaped from Jamshedpur without making the o/s payment and now there is o/s amount of to the tune of Rs. 40000 odd against the said card.

                      Now I am not able to understand that what payment I am supposed to make and further I am being harassed for making the above said payment.

                      Being a Citibank customer I have always made the payment on time and being such reputed MNC I never thought of dealing with customer in this manner.

                      Even after writing mail to head (cutomer care) and by calling his Chennai office I have not yet receiving any solution.

However, as per as your head office (Gurgaon) advise I have sent a fax message (which is provable on my behalf) to inform you that in the last two years i have not recieved any monthly statements eventhough i had made payments on the due dates which was mentioned in my fax letter which was also acknowlegded by you. My card was expired on June 30 2007, which i have been informed in my fax letter for which i had faxed you but even though you havn't responded back to me. There is no other alternative except to approach to the consumer court to file a defimation case against you. Now you are piling me to make payments without any statements (for the last two years) which is highly objectionable.

                      Now i will file a case to the consumer court against your lapses, which you have to bear the entire expenditure.

                      I take a personal loan of Rs. 26000 from your esteemed bank's Ratlam (M.P.) Branch.
                      Because of heavy loss I cant repay on time so I am very sorry for that.
                      On 24th March, 2008 Mr. Iyer (Recovery Agent) come to my house at Ratlam (212, Chatripool Road, Ratlam M.P.) and threatened me and shouting in front of my ailing and heart patient 75 years old Mother that please immediate make the payment of outstanding dues, when I request him to please give me two days he do not want to try to understand. He and four other person who was looking like a Criminal behaved very violent and say me that make the payment of Rs. 22, 700/-, then I arrange the money from my friend and give it to Mr. Iyer on March, 25th, 2008, , when I require the receipt they say that first he want to deposit the money to bank and then he give me the receipt. But 1 week is began he cannot give me any receipt and when I require at Citi I found they do not deposit the money in the bank.

                      Please give us the reply regarding my Credit Card bills, I can't pay Bills because I d'nt recieve my Previous month credit card Bill then I request u please check my Late Fees & Intrest charge and remove them, then i pay u bill amount.

                      I am suffering these problems from Previous Months If you can't solve this Problem, then you should have to think about to do
                      with Credit Cards.

                        i am not your customer and never i took loan from your bank. last month i got call from No.[protected] regarding outstanding of my refreigerator loan. near about one month i was getting call from this no and i am regulary replying . one day i called up your executive and showed the proof that i am not rajesh nair and i donot have any loan with citifinancial. the guy who came my home is totally satisfied and he applogised for the same.

                        again today morning ownwards i am getting same complaint from same phone no and same questions. the people who are calling me is not evne ready to check the name and address in detail. what shall i do for the same to solve the problem. i am getting totally disturbed in this type of calls . for this type of harresment i am going to approach police court and media . otherwise i think the same will harm my security. if you have any valid reasons for this type of attitude please email immediately.

                        I asha has the same grievance and i am asked from some Mrs.Prasad who has taken loan and i need to pay that amount other wise i will arrested and using flithy languages. they will make my life miserable.. i am surprised citi finance can employ people to speak like this.

                        Citifinancial — Threat given on phone

                        I am holding a personal laon in name of Sudesh Gupta with Citi Finacial amounting approx. 125000/- from which maximum part is clear , but from last some time my 2 instalment got break , thus I recd. a call from Recovery Agent MR. Jighesh Sharma his mobile number is [protected] and told me lot of abusive words and threatened to submit the amount , his complete voice recording is on my phone. I have made a police complaint F.I.R against company and the particular recovery agent.

                        These agents whom you are talking about are the outsourced agencies of Citifinancial. Reserve bank of India has prescribed the code of conduct for all recovery agents working for financial institutions, However several incidents of threats and harassment by bank officials and recovery agents have been reported in news several times, but so far stringent actions have not been taken against any such agents. You have done a brave act by registering a FIR against them, did you include the bank name as well in the complaint. If an FIR is lodged i am sure the police will investigate the matter thoroughly before closing the issue. However if you are looking at taking this legally and sorting you can contact us alternatively for the same.                           This is to inform you that I, Parvesh Sehgal ( D.O.B.-

                          Delhi-110009) had a credit card of your bank from June, 1995 to
                          August,1996,

                          The Card Number was [protected].

                          There was a due payment and legal action was taken from your
                          side and i had settled the payment in court.


                          I guess that since the settlement was done so there should
                          be no outstanding dues from my side. If there was, Then I was
                          not
                          informed about it in the eleven years that have passed in
                          between.

                          I had applied for a loan recently from ICICI and it was then
                          that I got to know that you have registered my name in CIVIL
                          PACKAGE/SATYAM as a DEFAULTER CLIENT without even informing me.

                          Now my career is on the line since i needed the loan very
                          badly and since i am a defaulter in the list, inspite of
                          everything
                          being positive, my loan was not passed as a result of which my
                          future plans are shattered.

                          What i do not understand is how come my name is on that list
                          since the payment was already settled.

                          For more information, I had called up in your numbers
                          66525203/04. The agents who had picked up the calls did not
                          bother to speak properly and spoke to me in a very arrogant
                          manner.

                          So i would be highly obliged if you kindly Guide me so as to
                          what should i do in order to remove my name from the list of
                          yours as i see that there is no way that i have defaulted. My

                            Complaint Details : Citi bank has disonered my Payment of Rs 11000 without
                            any matter charged me Interest on my out standing amount and i paid one
                            more check of Rs 11000 they accepted the check then they also represented
                            the older check (which they have disonered ) to my hdfc bank and withdraw
                            Rs 11000 from my bank account and taken more payment then my out standing
                            amount. So my credit card account is in credit of Rs 9300/- Now they are
                            refusing to pay me my RS 9300/-.
                            Consequences : Please let me help to get my Credited amount of Rs 9300/- .

                              Hi this is Vishal im using your's citibank a/c since a year and it's my savings a/c number # [protected].Around 04.00am I had done an online transaction to recharge an airtel prepaid mobile for Rs 350.00 instead of Rs 350.00 the transaction was done for Rs 3555.00 and was debited from my a/c.After a minute I had requested to cancle my transaction and my Ref # [protected].I calledup citiphone customer care and asked for the resolution the representative was not ready to coporate with me and told to call the airtel customer help line.Called up airtel customer help line the response was the same to call back to bank.Called up again citiphone customer care they advised me to call back in morning after 09.00am as their is no supervisor available now to solve my problem.In morning around 12.00pm I Called up again citiphone customer care the representative told as their systems were down they are not able to provide any solution now said supervisour will call back after an hour's when system will be fine.I called up again citiphone customer care around 04.00pm from your's Andheri(w) branch i was not satisfied with your service's.I just asked to revert back the money and these people were running around the bush! ultimately no solution to the problem.I am asking that if there is an error happened while transacting then why the Hell the customers has to suffer I just want my money back and I know that every thing is possible if you people really want to serve to the customer satisfaction.My experience with online banking with citibank and with their call center representatives was horrible??? I am asking that you people can only become a"SERVICE PROVIDER AND NOT THE SOLUTION PROVIDER TO THE SERVICE"???.I WANT AN IMMEDIATE ACTION ON THIS AND REPLY FROM YOUR SIDE!!!                                 This is to inform you that i have 2 mediclaim policies in the name of my mother Mrs. Surjeet Kaur for health insurane and accidental insurance.Good Health Policy (Card No. CHE-NI-GH[protected]A)

                                I got the call from citifinancial that they cancelled the policies due to some technical mistake and now they want the complete data again and they will reissue the policy since december.

                                As per their executive if any claim to be made in between that is not possible and they cant issue the policy from the date they have cancelled the policy due to their mistake.

                                As per citifinancial executive this is mistake of the New India Assurance not their.

                                Please let me know what i can do in this scenario. Please look into the matter and do the needful.

                                  i had purchased the mediclaim policy for my family via the credit card of citibank and policy was of 7128/-ut they charged me of total amount 10584- giving me some accidental policy plus service tax on each members name which was a group policy
                                  later on i cancelled the policy after this thing but these people are sending me regular notice for payment and i have so many times sent the request to them fia fax and mail and the policy has already been cancelled and still they are calling me and sending bills for the same and i have never applied or made a request for any kind of cards to these people they had send them without any request and now not cancelling them and sending regular monthly bills kindly take some necessary action regarding this issue

                                  Citibank credit cards — Harrasment

                                  How will it sound if someone tells you he is going to black list you in cibil. Yes this is the actual threat I have received over the phone from someone named Ajinkya mobile number +91-[protected] and landline number +91-[protected] Hardik saying if I need to pay the amount due he is going to blacklist me in CIBIL and he would see it to it that I am denied loan if I require one from all the banks.

                                  How educated and ethical of the bank as I am 2 days late because my salary credited a week late as everyone knows due to recession most of the companies do not have enough money to pay salaries on time. Where would I pay the money from if I get my salary late? Should I rob a bank? First of all you pay the late fee and charges and second of all you are harassed too...?

                                  This refers to my credit card no. [protected] in which you have debited Rs. 1166.04 towards late fee fin. charages etc. due to non payment on due date. I had issued the payment for Rs. 1400/- through cheque on 15th of September 2009 and it has been not credited in the A/C saying that signature mismatch( I was intimated through some of your executive saying that if i make the payment, there would be no late fee fin. charages etc shall be charged). I made payment again with a request that return my unused cheque to me. I am still waiting for that unused cheque and also i have been charged Rs. 1166.04 extra indicated in the statement period of 12 Sep 2009 to 11 Oct 2009.


                                  Sir I have been making payment on due date every time and you will be paid continuously in future also but I am not able to pay above said EXTRA amount and request you to kindly waive off this amount.

                                  This is happening first time with me I am making a payment for Rs. 1400/- through cheque with a positive hope of a requested waive off and a healthy relation with HSBC.

                                  I am also facing problem with citi bank story is this.

                                  I am also faIn the year 2002 I was holding a credit card of Citi bank, due to financial problem/unemployment not able to make the payment and became defaulter.
                                  Citi bank had converted the outstanding amount into a loan and asked to pay by installments. Accordingly I have given post dated cheques. Out of the installment cheques one cheque dishonored by bank and one of the representatives of Citi bank collected cash against the bounced cheque with in 10 days. The citi bank had deposited bounced cheque and the same honored by bank. Since one extra installment paid by me, written a letter to citi bank not to present next cheque. I waited for two months no reply, but they presented the cheques regularly and bank honored the cheques.
                                  So I had made stop payment of one of the cheques. Balance of all the cheques cleared by my bank till the last cheque. (in 2004)

                                  After 2 years citi bank has sent one statement showing a sum of Rs 7000/-+ outstanding and make the payment immediately.
                                  Since nothing is payable from my side I have not made payment of the amount till now. I had received a advocate notice and replied by me.
                                  Now the problem is through different people calling me and my name is in the defaulter list.
                                  If I want to take any loan from bank very difficult for me to get.

                                  Can you please solve my problem through one of the members.

                                    I have a Citibank Credit Card 3 years ago. Still I have it. I have get promissed by bank representative that you can not charged any charges on your cards, this is Lift time free card. Even no late payment charges, interest should charged to you because you are employees of Iqara Telecoms (BG Group).I told that time to that representative that give me in writting that this charges are not charged, but he has not do it,even he told me that I will give you the letter after collected from bank.but he has also not give it.

                                    But I was surprised that they have charged me late payment charges, interest thereon & even they have charged me renewal fees also.then I have not used this card singly.But they have send me invoice monthly basis & charged me everytime.I have got several phonecalls for pending payments & I have given the same reply that I have paid all that amount which I have purchased, but I will not pay any charges of bank which was charged to me.

                                    Please suggest what should I have to do now ?

                                    I have received your statment on 23/07/08 of Rs. 44998/- and due date of statment 15/08/08. I have payment of your statment by cheque no.290839 on 13/08/08 in your city bank office in Indore after three day i have received your message in my mobile for my cheque was returned, i have goto your office on 19/08/08 and talko your city bank custmoer care centre by phone and he sew to me your cheque was returned because your bank balance was insafficent but my a/c was suffciant balance on 13/08/08 to 25/08/08 and i have same day another cheque no. 290839 was paid in your drap box and cheque passed on 25/08/08. after that i have received your second statment of charge and but i have not lible any charge or payment in your statment i have talk to your city office for this problem and he sew to me your charge was rebarsment but till date no chrges relese my a/c, i have fax my statment on 03/10/08 but no charge rebarsment.

                                    I have request to you plase rectify this matter and rebars my charge becase i have not libale for this payment and this not my mistake.

                                    Citibank — Credit Card Charges.

                                    I was hpolding citibank credit card having no [protected]. I had done a purchase of Rs 2100 in the year 2006. I did not get statement from that date to till date. Today i.e 28th Feb 2008 I recieved the statement and I was shocked to see an whooping outstanding of Rs 22147.60 on my account against the purchase of Rs 2100. I had requested Citibank to reverse all the charges but they deined to do so. Please help me out in this problem.

                                    Citibank — Deposit Account Fee Abuse

                                    CitiBank extorted unearned low balance service charges from me by leaving my deposit account open after I withdrew my entire balance and then sent Citi a secure message that I wanted that withdrawal to close my accounts.

                                        Around four years back, I was holding a Citibank international silver credit card (Master Card). When the credit card was issued (03/03) the Citibank representative assured me that the card is absolutely free for lifetime and no annual fees will be charged for the same. For the first year I was using the credit card without any issues. Suddenly after one year I was charged a renewal fees of Rs 750/- for the primary card (which was on my name) and Rs 350/- on an add-on card (which was on my wife's name) plus service tax in the monthly statement.

                                        After frequent follow ups on phone with Citibank representatives, requesting them to revert back the renewal fees, they told that the card was free only for first year and I have to pay renewal fees to continue using the card. I was not expecting this response from the bank which showed how unprofessional they are in their business.

                                        Since, the bank was not ready to revert back the renewal fees and even I was unhappy with the banks unethical attitude, I decided to cancel both the cards and informed my decision to bank. Even after both the cards were cancelled, the bank continued issuing me monthly statements (carry forward of renewal fees + late changes each month after month)

                                        I am unable to understand why I am still receiving those monthly statements and again started to follow-up with the Citibank representatives to know the reason. The representative told me that both the cards were cancelled as per bank's record and all the charges will be reverted back soon and will reflect in coming month's statement. So I was hoping to get everything settled by next month and haven't given any attention to this issue after that.

                                        After two years, I received a call from Citibank informing me about making the payments for the outstanding amount immediately and also gave me an option to make settlement by paying some lumpsum amount. To make a settlement I was asked to visit one of their offices in Aundh, Pune. I was really surprised and unable to understand if nothing is due from my side why I should pay any amount to the bank. To know the total amount due on my account I called multiple times to Citibank but was told that the case is now transferred to recovery department and they don't have any information regarding the same. I tried calling the recovery department of Citibank, Pune and they told me to pay Rs 200/- first which will enable then to open my case and then investigate the issue further. This is absolutely frustrating and gave us lot of mental stress.

                                        This I guess is a clear case of mental harassment.

                                        I am very unhappy with the service provided by the bank and also the false commitments made initially for attracting customers. I and many of my friends have already blacklisted Citibank after this event.

                                        Wanted to know can I legally go in court against CitiBank and fight for my rights ?

                                        Citibank Credit Card — Mental Harrasment

                                        Hi,
                                        would like to make a formal complaint against Citi Bank Credit Card Billing Department as they call me with reminders at all un earthly hours, even after the due date being some days away. I have requested them that the amounts will be paid but still get calls from them every day.
                                        This has caused a morbid fear and I tend to spoil my complete day due to this. This happens every day.

                                        Citibank is troubling me by sending me SMS and statement for amount as overdue, when i have already cancelled the card. I have not made any purchases on the card, but it seems the bank is debiting insurance and late payemnt fees on top of that. This is pure harrassment and wish the Banking Ombudsmen takes note of this. There are so many people like me who are harrased, but have very little time to take up the issue with the authorities. Further the bank in its website does not support cutomer compliant on cards.

                                        i have a received a credit card from citi bank, but company have no office in lucknow for giving the knowledge abount his credit card fees & charges.

                                        I am abini still studying in F.Y.S.C in SNDT College in churchget & staying also in college hostel m working part time job in one of Privet Company as a data entry job there I get only 2400/- in month so I can’t pay that amount at all my daddy also retired parson when aditi expired after that my mom dad both shifted in my native place because we three people depend on my sister only! & second thing wherever we was staying first in Kohinoor com. In Dadar there now staying Mr.bhoja he complaint agents your bank recovery boy because they told that recovery guy here not staying lad family after that also they visiting again & again that’s way he complain in bhoiwada police station that guy name I think subhash & his no.[protected]. your citi bank fort branch manager only told me once customer expired bank don’t have any authority to ask for payment & visit customer place but now she is no more we trying to forget her but your bank people not understanding are problem. My dad is hart patient.
                                        So last my humble request is that please don’t visit again & again that dadar add because that Bhoja family very upset on my family whatever problem have to discus u can call on [protected] on Sunday 9.00am to 3.00pm because I m studding & in my classes cell not allow i[censored] want to contact me send me mail also on this same id.

                                        Citibank Credit Card — CreditCard Harrasement

                                        Four Years back I took Credit card and I never made any transaction on that card. Now they started sending quarterly statements asking me to pay 35000 / - . They are not providing any details on that.

                                        I am one of the customer, who cheated by HSBC bank. I am holding HSBC credit card since 2007 and paying their all outstaning as per billing. I have taken a BT facility from HSCB in the month of April 2009 and it was decided that I will have to pay a minimum due amount of 5% and 1.5% Monthly rate of interst on outstanding. In the month of October 2009 I had purchase garments from this card of Rs. 9000 and I made payment of Rs. 9000 next to the day. After that I called to customer care executive and She/He told me that first we will adjust your Rs. 9000 in minimum amount and intest of BT and rest of the amount will be adjusted in your purchases. I made again a Rs. 2500 payment after that conversation so that I will be charged a lesser rate of interest. I never got their hardcopy statement. After 3 month I got to know that they have adjusted Rs. 9000 and Rs. 2500 in BT amount and my purchased amount is still pending in which they have started charging me 3.5% rate of interest. I have complaint so many time in customer care of HSBC but they are not responding accordingly and they keep calling me and they are harassing me for making their payment and I want to settle my account or want reassessed statement since Nov 2009 @ 1.5% rate of interest.
                                        Please suggest what should I do for above metter?

                                        don't have to do much - just send a mail to banking obdmensment and rbi and and ofcourse to citi bank too - and don't worry they cannot do anything now just keep that settlement letter in a safe place ;)

                                        I had marked so many mails to citi bank but they are not going to take any action against there recovery agent,They are coming day on day at my relatives home & using abuse language all the times,Kindly help me out from this.
