Citi bank ATM cards are not accessible at any POS for the past 2 days, Also amount could not be transferred online to other accounts.

Poorest customer care that they have provided land line numbers which are non-toll free, where automated voice responds which again kills our balance.
We almost cant find their customer care numbers online, rather it takes to numerous procedures to file a compliant.

Very dissatisfied.

    OMG OMG OMG!!!

“We are pleased to inform you that your existing Citibank Suvidha account will be converted into the new Citibanking account...With this change, the Citibank Suvidha savings account will not be available from March 1, 2013. Your account will be converted into the Citibanking account from this date, ” the bank said in an email.

“As a special gesture, for your long standing relationship, a lower minimum net relationship value requirement of Rs 1 lakh will be applicable for your Citibanking account, ” the bank said.

A monthly charge of Rs 500 is applicable if the net relationship value falls below the minimum level.

Is there none to put a limit to this.. is RBI/XYZ sleeping??

      Hi My Name is Ravi,
I am citi bank consumer since 2 years.
I have a loan account as well with citi bank (my bad luck).

I dont understand why they charge, whenever they feel to charge they charge, no proper response on call, you will just waste your time to calling them, they will tell you nothing.

I want to see my account statement/mini statement, because they again charged some nonsense, but i am not able to see why it is. i was having some money into my account but now its showing -300.

second hell is their rules and policies. now they are started charging if your account balance is less then 1 lakh, i want to close my account but no use,
i just wasting my time to asking this people.

I am pissed off dealing with these guys.
I feel i did big mistake to open account here.

I recently got a citi bank Rewards credit card created and agent got the application form filled by himself as per the contact details provided by me correctly. I received the confirmation call on correct contact details provided my me so I assumed they had my correct contact details i.e mobile and email-id.

I made my first purchase on this card in February and I was waiting for card statement / notification of Statement availbility but to my surprise, I didn't receive any statement from citi bank for next one month then I called citi bank credit card customer care in mid march to know when my credit card statement will be available and what is the billing date for my credit card.

I was more surprised to know that my statement had already been generated on 15 February. As I didn't get any statement, I couldn't make any payments for this card statement. They had imposed finance charges along with interest penalties on me.

When I asked why did not they send me statement or any sms on my moble; they told me that statement was sent to my email id only but bounced back. When I crossed check, I found that they have wrong email-id and mobile number updated in my profile to the one I mentioned while filling the application form. Please note that they contacted my on correct mobile number when getting the card created at the time of application. Due to this, I could not receive my credit card statement on time if they had actually sent it to me and that's why this delay caused me with penalties and interest amount burden due to the mistake which wasn't at my part but from city bank staff.

When I requested them to revert the extra charges; the customer care people just denied to do that.

In 2012, one of the citibank customer service executive offered me a credit card which was told to be free for life. When I recieved the card, I was informed that I there is an annual fees for card by the customer support team. I immediately declined to activate the card and asked them to close the card. Now, suddenly in the month of March 2013 after more than 1 year , I recieve an statement from citibank saying that I HAVE OUTSTANDING OF 350 DHS IN MY CARD which was due to the annual fees of the card.

I am baffled and emailed them regarding the same. I am yet to recieve any reply from them in this regard.
          Kindly advice.

I hold a credit card for almost 10 yrs and is well aware of the functioning of the payment cycle. For an outstanding due on my last mnth stmt 30000 I had choose to convert 15k as emi and have disbursed payment of 13k. Citibank has levied 1400 app for the balance 2000 which was outstanding. If this is the case 75 percent taken as charges, where will a common man go for justice? Have spoken to citibank and arranged for call from seniors but yet denied of reversing the charges. Kindly help me to get the refund as I had to pay the entire money to avoid further charges. [protected].

Citibank offered a personal loan and with that they also offered a insurance, when they offered insurance they told me that i can cancel the insurance within 15 days from the time i receive the insurance copy and the full amount will be credited back to my account. Even after a month i did not receive the insurance copy, when i escalated the issue, they said that they will send me the duplicate insurance copy, however, the 15 days period is over and if i cancel now, it will be a prorate amount which will be credited to my account. The Citiphone officer informed me to write a letter to the insurance company and gave me the address. I wrote a letter to the insurance company on Feb 7th and its been almost a month none got back to me. On Feb 12th Citiphone executive from Bangalore came to my office and took my signature on the insurance cancellation form and informed me that the amount will refunded within 48 hours and it's nearing to a month but the amount is still not refunded. From past 3 Saturday's i am calling them and they inform me saying that we will get back to you and no one gets back to me. This is one worst service from Citi bank which i did not expect. Even when offering loan they promised me a different amount and when they credited the amount, they gave me lesser amount than what was promised. There are many hidden charges from the Citi bank which was not explained when offering. The Citi phone officers does not know the policy and procedures of their bank. For a simple insurance cancellation, they take a a long time and they themselves doesn't have the resolution and don't know the procedures.Till now they haven't got back with the resolution.

                      Citibank Team

I had made three cash payments for my Citibank Credit Card bill at Citibank ATM HSR Layout (Bangalore). These payments were made on on 2nd Feb 2013. One of these payments is less by Rs 500. I have called Citibank thrice and every time they ask for 48-72 hrs to revert back. During one of the calls I was told that I will get a call back immediately from the concerned department who work on these issues. I havent received a call back till date but yes I did receive a mail that Citibank was trying to reach me which is surprising. I did call them back after seeing the mail and they have requested for for 3 more days.

I was given these reference nbrs 97146 and 17017 to track the issue so that whenever I call Citibank phone banking I could refer to these to help Citibank team understand the problem.

I had withdrawn money from an HDFC ATM in HSR Layout (which is less than 500 meters away) to make the cash payment for the credit card bill. The money was counted properly and put in 3 envelopes. Not sure how can it take so long to get to the root of such a small problem.

                      Regards

I am a credit card holder for Citibank. On 21st of Nov 2012 I received two messages in the morning around 07:15 AM and 07:19 AM about the two transactions that happened on my card amounting $700 and $900 which I did not do. I called Citibank immediately to inform regarding the same but they refused to take any action by saying that there is nothing that they could do till the transactions are claimed by merchant except blocking the card. I told them repeatedly as it was a fraud transaction and I did not do it they should block it.

I also sent them the dispute declaration form as requested by them on 22nd Nov 2012 but no action was taken. On 24th Nov the transaction was claimed by the merchant but still they did not take any action. On 25th Nov when they received a complaint from the National Consumer Helpline they registered my complaint and gave me a temporary credit and informed that the investigation would take around 60-180 days to finish after which they would take the decision that the transactions are fraud or not. I am completely at their mercy regarding the same. I have also filed a complaint regarding the same with Economic Offences Wing at Mandir Marg police station but no action was taken and after a month received a letter from them that they have forwarded my complaint to the local police station.

I am completely stuck and not sure what to do regarding the same. Where should I approach to get my money back.

Please advise. My Phone number is [protected]

                          Dear Lakshmi,
Your statement " Consignee shifted " is wrong . The address available with you is my own house and permanent address.
My not being available in the house when the courier has visited does not imply Consignee has shifted.
My work involves constant travel but I keep visiting Hyderabad regularly.
If I ever I shift, I will intimated my change of address.
My email has Id has not changed. As per your mail, you are to send me my statement in both formats. I have neither received a email bill statement nor a mail verifying with me if I have shifted.
This is clearly a lapse on your side and I am not liable for your failure. Please see my track record of timely bill payments and review the various phone transcripts with me, which you record. I am neither a defaulter nor an absconder.
I will settle my actual bill but I will not pay any penalties or late fees. It is not the amount but in principle I cannot pay for no fault of mine.

If you have no authority to settle this issue, please give me the mobile number and co ordinates the India head of Credit Cards Division, I will take up this matter with him.

                          Dear Sir,
                          My card no is[protected] 3013.
I was in Hyderabad last month for 2weeks and a Citibank customer service person spoke to me while I was there.
I travel to Sri Lanka and many other places regularly and hence am not easily accessible on the phone.

I had not received any statements from the last 3-4 months on email . The customer service person who contacted me said that if physical statements get returned the email statement also stops. Please note that I travel a lot and hence , make sure I get my email monthly statements. how is it possible to make payments if I do not receive any statements? Finally ,On request , I received my statements but with penalty and late fees . When I spoke to the CSE who had called me , I have explained all this perhaps 3-4 tomes to her, maybe you can check the recording which was done for the improvement of services. I had requested that all late payment fees no penalty be waived off since payment was not made since the statement had not been sent only. I am surprised that I was not ever contacted on mail earlier. Your services are definitely not in order if I am expected to make payment without receiving statements ever......and then when I do receive statements it is with all the penalty ,late fees when the mistake was entirely on your side.
I have never defaulted on my payments in the last many years . My payments are always made online thro a Citibank account.
Kindly send me a single statement immediately without late fees and penalties so I can make the payment immediately.
I am presently in Sri Lanka and am not sure when I will return to India.
Kindly do the needful and please oblige.
                          Regards

To allow customers consolidate their banking requirements into a single account Citibank has launched CitiHome One, a mortgage product, to enable customers to get a home loan facility as a combination of a conventional term loan and a credit line in India. Citibank has also unveiled CitiHome One variant for loans against property.

Citi has claimed that with CitiHome One, customers will get a dual advantage of interest savings on their home loans by utilizing surplus funds and the flexibility to structure repayments as per their convenience. Subject to an overall limit, customers can self-determine the amount they wish to take as credit line with the balance being structured as a term loan.

Citi has added that the account would serve as an umbrella account and allows customers to consolidate all their banking requirements into a single CitiHome One Account relationship, beginning with financing the purchase of their home to deploying surplus funds for saving interest on the home loan, drawing down from this available credit line to finance all future needs and managing their wealth whilst enjoying the entire bouquet of premium banking privileges.

Narasimhan Rajashekaran, country business manager of global consumer group at Citibank India, said: “Purchasing a home is a major life event and a mortgage is one of the largest financial commitments an individual makes. CitiHome One is designed to place customers' firmly in command of their finances and make home-buying a win-win for them.

“This new program will also serve as an excellent gateway for customers to experience the entire bouquet of our products and services thereby deepening our relationship with them and strengthening our efforts towards providing complete banking solutions for our customers.”

Ashish Mehrotra, head of consumer assets at Citibank India, said: “We are very pleased to launch the market's first Universal home loan product. By making our customers' money work harder for them, this research-backed product should become the preferred alternative to the conventional home loan. We are confident that CitiHome One will find resonance amongst our customers and reinforce our commitment of driving success for them.”

I had opened an account with City Bank, about 10 months ago. They changed my account type to "Suvidha account" after just 3 months and raised my minimum balance, abruptly without notice they deduct Rs. 250/- each month, if I don't maintain that that balance and they were deducting it, without even informing me. On calling them, they are saying that I've changed the company that I work for and that's the reason.
And now they are Changing it into some other account type, requiring much much higher NRV, and are deducting Rs. 500/-, if it's not met. All this, without any notice.

                                Citibank — Citi bank harrasment

                                Good Morning!

For the citibank credit card bearing the number [protected] holded by Ayaz Hussain, in the interest to close the account after talking to customer care I made a payment of INR 40,212/- rupees through cheque and 29,400 odd through cash and authenticated to close the card. I was also confirmed the same as I remember and also got the letter from citi bank stating the account has been closed.

After 3 weeks of my card closure, i got my statement again asking me to pay 84.74/- Rs due. If i have not seen this statement , i could have ended up charges of late payment fees. Citi bank is not in good books in my career and also with my colleagues and friends.

I spoke to Mr.Imran about the same and i have got no feedback from him. as per my personal experience with Citi bank, i feel that citi has worst customer care i have ever seen in my life. I carry 5 other cards which i have no issues as such in my entier career.

so hear my I am planning to send you a LEGAL notice for the mental harrasement and also i have sent this issue to the media so that every indian citizen who has citi bank should close their accounts.

The worst service and bank i have seen in my life.

I have been registered under the NDNC & NDND list for more than a year now (+91 - [protected]). However I still continue to recieve several unsolicited marketing calls.
This is very cumbersome and agonizing as these disturbances continue with no regard to the law that requires them to not call persons on the list.

I am constantly disturbed, when in meetings or in the midst of other critical activities.

In the last couple of days I have recieved a couple of calls from persons claiming to be calling from Citi Bank.

Hi all, here is the latest.

Citibank has increased the minimum balance requirement for Suvidha accounts (where you are no longer getting your salaries) to INR 1 Lac rupees... yes 1,00,000.00 !!!!!!

This is with effect from 1st March 2013. If this is not maintaained, you will be charged Rs 500 MONTHLY.

I am already having to maintain this super costly account with a minimum balance of 25k (ridiculous by itself), as I have some investments linked to it.

But now, this is being increased to 1 lac.. that too, by just sending a email information.

The mail states a few puny benefits and states:
"The Citibanking Account starts at a monthly net relationship value (NRV) of 2 lakhs for new clients. A monthly charge of 500 is applicable when the NRV falls below this minimum level. We are pleased to inform you that, as a special gesture, for your long standing relationship, a lower minimum NRV requirement of 1lakh will be applicable for your Citibanking Account.

With this conversion, the benefits of the Citibanking Account, and the revised terms as above will apply to your account, effective 1st March 2013. However, for your convenience, your account number, debit card^, cheque book and PINs will continue unchanged."

I am going to de-link my investments within a week from this account, transfer them elsewhere and permanently stop ANY connections with Citibank. Just can't afford such an account.

I give them less than 0 Stars ...Same has happned to my account, These guys are such losers.. I have already registered to close my account and will never recommend anyone to Citibank everr again
I am having Suvuidha account since 2011 Jan. Same thing happened to me. I sent a letter to citibank stating that i dont want their new meaningless features of CITIBANKING Account and let my min balance be 25K. If they cannot continue with 25k i mentined that i am planning to close the account.

After receiving the letter citibank customer support called me and asked do i want to close the account. I told her that i will go to citibank branch in person and close the account and same day I open other basic savings bank and link my existing personal loan and credit card .

Whereas very next they have closed my suvidha account.

This is really disgusting and I thought of complaining in cosumer court.
First of all how can they automatically increase the minimum balance from 25thousand to 1lak?
If they are upgrading suvidha account

I never suggest citi bank to any one. If any friends around me using citi bank i request to stop baking with citi and use other.

There was an online fraud of around Rs 19000 carried out on my Citi credit card. I have filed a police complaint for the same. After multiple emails to India citibank CEO and other concerned, this is what the final executive response is:

"As mentioned in our earlier dated October 19, 2012 we had raised a request with the merchant bank for the documents related to the transaction of “Entropay UK Internet” charged to your card on September 26, 2012. We regret to inform you that the merchant bank has not provided any documents to us.

Since it was a secured transaction authenticated with your Internet Personal Identification Number (IPIN), the bank does not have any further dispute rights for non-fulfillment of the request by the merchant bank"

I am shocked to see the helplessness of citibank - Since merchant is not cooperating, we cannot research this further and since we are helpless, you will have to pay this amount. Why? If citibank cannot research a fraud in their system, why don't the executives own the responsibility of the fraud? Is it citi's culture to wash away hands from a problem?

so what are my options now to deal with the citibank?

Same case with me as well.
As usual normal day started on Today[protected], I just checked SMS from CITI bank in morning 10AM saying that your transaction is declined due to invalid expiry date. I socked by seeing the SMS as the card is with me and I have not used my CreditCard, then how the transaction get failed.

Transaction was done at "le cordon bleu dusit c bangkok thailand". How can I swipe my card in Bangkok, Thailand same time when I am taking morning bath in India.

Then came to office and shared with my office friends and they also told me be aware as there are lots of fraud cases with CITI bank credit cards. And I called to CITI customer care lady who confirmed the transaction happened but luckily that is declined to due to invalid information. She immediately blocked my Card as I asked her.

I was thinking I was in dark or not aware suck kind of things also can happen.

                                        Hello Sir,

                                        Card number - [protected]

A credit card fraud (International transaction) was made on my card and the same day i reported the fraud to citibank. While wrapping up the call, Even after asking about any further assistance required from my side they didn't tell me about a important form to be sent from my end. So I got misinformed and didnot anticipate any calls from your end.

3 months later I got the charge on my email, when i contacted them they told me that the charge has to be paid by me and they tried contacted me but I was not reachable. But as I had been confirmed that no further help is required from my end, I dont find myself accusable for not being able to keep in touch.

They are accepting that it was not communicated when I had asked upfront but they are saying we cant do anything about it since the 60 days period has passed. They are asking me to take it to the cyber cell for further investigation.

I have been a loyal customer for many years to citi and this is the first instance I am in such a situation and whole incident has been blamed on me even though lack of communication from your end was the culprit in the first place.Since the bank was not able to communicate the information when seeked and also misinforming that no further assistance is required.I find myself expecting a fair justice in this regard from you end before I go to any other medium.

I am happy with my relation with citi but I expect professionalism from a bank of such high repute and proper communication in future events

I have attached the dispute form.
Please help me with the issue.

                                        Thank You
