      Hi I have an salary account in CITI Bank, Hyderabad branch( A/C No. [protected]) and I was using a credit card . One month ago my credit card was lost somewhere in Bangalore . I called to CITI bank customer care and told them to block my card, They blocked my card and when I Request them for a new credit card, thy told me to sent an application letter to CITI bank Chennai branch. I have sent them all documents, after some time I got a call from CITI bank Chennai branch verification team that they are not able to process because I am calling them from a different no(I got transferred from Hyderabad to Bangalore so I was using a new ph. no.). They suggested me to go to CITI bank bangalore branch and submit my docs. there, but when I go to CITI bank Bangalore branch the branch manager talked me rudely and sent me back by telling that she can't do anything and I have to send my docs. to Chennai only. I again send all docs. to Chennai branch . and today I got a call from CITI bank Chennai branch verification team that are not able to process any application.
      Now I am not able to view and pay my credit card bills because it is in blocked status. No one is listening to me in CITI bank and they all are just trying to transfer their responsibility to someone other. As I am not able to pay bills they are also charging me tax on that.
      Please help me, as I got frustrated (mentally and physically) by calling them again and again and going to their branch and sending them courier.

        Sir I Dr. Md Vikaruddin Ali Akbar would like to bring to your notice that I had a citibank credit card no.[protected] which got deactivated due to unavoidable circumstances and for which I have payed all my dues in time. All my card transactions I do online. Now they show some other card number which I have not received and I dont even know the full number and for the same I am regularly charged. Please kindly cancel the same at an earliest. Thanks.

          I am holding Citibank credit card bearing number [protected] and used the same for online payment of property tax on my residential plot to Bangalore Development Agency Bangalore on 13.04.2012. Amount remitted to Bangalore Development Authority through Corporation Bank Kumara Krupa Bangalore branch is Rs 2,475.00
          But the Citibank has charged me two times the amount for the same date and under same Ref No. which is not in order. My repeated requests for lodging a complaint with the Member Establishment Bank i.e., Corporation Bank Bangalore branch through Citibank was not considered by the Phone Banking Officers of Citibank. They have not guided me properly and not furnished me the address of Corporation bank branch to whom they have made the payment.

          Their non cooperation either to lodge a complaint with the Member Establishment Bank or to furnish me the details of payment made by them has resulted in loss of finance as well as Mental tension and agony. The very casual approach and apathy to know the affected customer's mind has given me an idea that my funds would not be safeguarded by Citibank. I am unable to believe that such casual approach towards customer's concern is a matter of grave concern that to they should have taken into account a long time association with Citibank for over 17 years with them as a Credit card holder. Where the quality of service has gone? Or whether Citibank has got lot of customers whose complaints they are unable to cope with them.?

          Citibank Credit Card — Non cooperation and lack of information

          This is a joint deal of Citibank Credit card department and the citibank savings account. The credit card department blocked the account for the minimum amount, now when we have deposited more than the minimum amount they are still not unblocking the account so that we can transfer the funds. I was asked to send a fax giving the Accont department the authority to release the amount to my credit card but they gave NO RESPONSE, then i called on customer care so they told me to leave a tele request ( service request number : 99785) i did the same and i was given 12th September as the last date but again nothing happend i calld again and again but they kept on dragging the last date and finally gave 20th Sept the last date because 18th September was the last date for credit card payment so now we have again got another statement for the last month payment plus a heavy interest amount on the same.
          As i am out of india, my wife tried calling citibank to follow up the matter but nobody reverted back.

            Last year the package came only after 5 months, Even then the amount is cut for the year.
            Also I do not have much card or documents for safe guard and find no use of this service

              I received a message from Citibank this morning stating that I have reistered ECS on Apr21,2012, i.e., yesterday for payment towards INDIAIDEAS.COM PRIVATE LIMITED. I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT PISHING AS I HAVE NEVER REGISTERED FOR ANY SUCH PAYMENTS AND IR SHOULD NOT BE AUTHORISED. Since I am informing in advance I would request an immediate action and a call back from Citibank regarding this matter as soon as possible. Failing to do so I would register a complaint against Citibank that their employees are debiting their customers accounts.

                Several Years back I was harrassed by the goons(Recovery peson) for the amount of Rs. 20000/-(personal loan). The bank illegally vacated me from my residential place. Eventhough the amount was very low the bank persons insulted me in front of family members. It made me family broken condition. I was stayed in A-11/301, Nilgiril Lok Dhara Co-op. Hsg. Society Ltd. Kalyan (E). At that time either the society or my family members has not helped me to fight against the goons. The result I got depression. I felt disappointed totally. There was no such a facility of complaining in the internet consumer complaint at that time. I expect remedy for such incident I met in my past.

                  This is for your information that due to CITI Bank's inefficiency in handling my request with promptness for past one month, I was forced to close the CITI credit cards [protected] and [protected] and the reference numbers are 7337 and 9268 respectively as mentioned by them over phone on 24-March-2012, though I never requested for a re-issuance of any further cards but the same have been done by CITI bank at their own interest and thus I suspect their intention of closing down my request amicably.

                  Furthermore i have requested to adjust the Petrol reward points of my card by 700 (transaction ID#7115) to my old card ending with 0019 and settlement of the remaining amount excluding the interest which has been levied to my account as an interest (for Rs. 5076.05+594.94 as tax), which has caused due to the failure of CITI Bank's server and hence i conveyed my grievance expecting a resolution from their end as the server failure caused delay and non-payment of the pending amount till the time i noticed the same on my monthly ICICI statement (online) but never been intimated by CITI for that failure. Due to such inefficiencies i followed them over phone to get my accounts closed with all adjustment, the request is neither entertained nor they have closed my relationships with the bank (as the latest sms depicts that they have again reissued two more new cards - testimonials can be produced if asked for).

                  Though I have made several calls and communications regarding this issue, the same has not been resolved yet, please note down the details of the fund transactions which I have made well in advance before the due date but has been reversed back by CITI:----->

                  Further to end this saga, I approached CITI bank to know if they can give me a written letter for closure of my account after settlement of the pending dues in cash in a nearby branch at pune, but they refused to give such letter. I am not only frustrated but also harassed by CITI Bank for no reason and reluctant to disclose any information as why they have reverted back Rs 60,000 on 6-march-2012 towards my credit card payment which I did online from ICICI bank on 2-March-2012 using CITI banks web portal.

                  This is in pursuance to my effort to close my account with citi bank after getting waive off interest amount and late payment fees which has happened primarily due to the citi bank's server problem, instead of sorting out the problem which is quite obvious and self explanatory they are giving explanation, which is not relevant to the discussion at all and harassing in nature and can be submitted as per your wish. Expecting your prompt action so as to avoid my name being posted in CIBIL.

                    I had wiThdrawn Rs 10,000 twice as on 27Th March 2012 at 8.50 PM near malleswaram near MES college in Axis Bank ATM, however when i physically counted it was short by Rs 1,000. Please do let me know if The same can be recovered.

                    On tuesday 27/10/09 i used axis bank atm to withdraw money from my pnb account.

                    1st transaction: withdrawal of Rs.15000/-

                    2nd transaction: tried to withdraw Rs.10000/- but i got a receipt saying unable to process

                    so it means i got a total of Rs.15000/- only on that day but now my account balance says Rs.25000/- is withdrawn on that day which is not true.

                    so i kindly request you to look into this problem and refund the money back to my account as fast as possible.

                    On 07/08/10 call from the bank ( Phone Number[protected] saying that only 31 notes available,
                    hence Rs 15500/- will be credited to my acount.

                    No iam not accepting this Ihad deposited Rs 16500 of 33 Notes 500 with out fail.

                    If this is the case how we relie the bank ???

                      Just highlighting the unethical way of charging interest to the customer by CITI Bank. Myself, Mohit Kumar, using citi bank Indian Oil card (XXXX XXXX XXXX 4246) for more than 1.5 years now. There was a delay in making the credit card payment through their Credit Card Bill Payment Utility as there was a technical failure at their website during the last weekend night at around 10:30PM. After trying continuously for about 30 minutes, I stopped trying hitting as it was giving some page refresh error. On next day evening when I viewed my Statement online, I found few transactions pertaining to Interest charges in my statement for month of March'12 which I consider totally unethical (~ Rs 6000 + 700 Taxes) as there was some technical failure at the Website's end and thus was unable to make the payment followed by calling to the customer care department with no appropriate help.

                      Now when I tried talking to the customer care officer for waiving off those charges that were incurred, I got to know the completely different story. They say that according to the new policy dated 1st Jan 2012, no waiver would be given to the customer. I really don't understand why they talk about the policy which should not come into picture when somebody is charged so heavily for which he has no fault on his end. It was entirely a technical issue and history says that I, myself have never been a defaulter in the past with CITI Bank while making the payments.

                      I don't know why some of the Customer Care officer whom I had a word were able to understand the technical failure and accepted that there are such outages and would look for the reversal. But when I got a call from Chennai office, I got to know that the reversal would not be done which was quite annoying.

                      Request CITI Bank senior officials to look into this matter at the earliest as the services of such kind would never be expected from the group called CITI.

                          I HAVE TAKEN A LOAN IN DEC 2006, FROM CITIBANK AND ALSO AGREED FRO MONTHLY INSTALMENT PAYMENT BY ECS FROM BANK OF BARODA. 19 INSTALMENTS WERE PAID SUCCESSFULY AND FROM AUG 06, THEY CAN NOT DO THE ECS. REASON STILL UNKNOWN. THEN THEY STARTED ADDING PENAL INTEREST, PENALTY ETC CHARGES. MY REQUEST TO THEM WAS TO REVERSE THE CHARGES FROM AUG 06. MEANWHILE FROM AUG 06 I KEPT ON PAYING THEM INSTALMENTS AND EVERY TIME I REQUESTED REVERSAL OF CHARGES. AS ON TODAY I HAVE PAID THE PRINCIPAL IN FULL , BUT WHAT IS OUTSTANDING IS THE CHARGES WHICH THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO REVERSE. EVEN I CALLED AN YEAR AGO FOR REVERSAL OF CHARGES, BUT NTHING HAPPENS. AS I HAVE DECIDED TO SELL THE CAR, I HAVE STARTED FOLLOWING UP ON THIS SINCE LAST 10 DAYS, EVRYTIME I AM TOLD THAT THEY WILL ARRANGE ACALL BACK IN 48 HOURS. NO PHONE CALL RETURNED. YESTERDAY I SEND THEM IN WRITING FOR REVERSAL OF CHARGES AND ISSUE ME NOC . I GOT A REPLY THIS MORNING THAT IT WILL TAKE 5 WORKING DAYS TO RESPOND. NOW IT IS INDIRECT PRESSURE ON ME FOR PAYMENT OF CHARGES. THEY ALSO REPORTED TO CIBIL FOR THIS. I HAVE IN WRITING FROM THEIR REPRESENTATIVE THAT THEY WILL REVERSE THE CHARGES IN MAY 2009.

                            I am using CitiBank Cash Back credit card since 2008. Later my old credit card was replaced to CitiBank Titanium cash Back credit card as CitiBank was offering to get it replaced from my old cash back credit card without any extra cost or hidden charge. And if I have had any outstanding balance then all will be updated to my new credit card. Here I would like to mention here that I cleared all my outstanding balance before using my new credit card and i didn't default even for a single payment. Once replaced I was informed that my old credit card is closed and also on my CitiBank online account my old credit card is showing as closed.

                            All seems to be OK to me until 23-Feb-2012. But on 23-feb-2012 I received CIBIL report and to my utter surprise it's showing outstanding balance of Rs. 27005 under my old credit card although it's cleared fully anf finally.

                            Now I want CitiBank to provide me a proper and detailed justification as to why this is so and why they did a grave mistake to this. As we all know this CIBIl report has a great impact if I apply for any kind of loan. Coincidently I applied for Home Loan in some other bank and they raised this concern and I have no clue.

                            Is this the way to reward customer who never dafaulted in credit card payment. CitiBank will never be able to raise a single point about my credit card usage and payments.

                              I am very much frustrated with tax applying to the citi credit card total amount.
                              as compared to the other banks credit card, citi is applying some non sense rule. For up to today i have paid almost half the amount of my total amount. But still records shows the total amount of 5 months old.

                              I am using other bank credit cards but i never face the such nonsense extra burden from the other bank.

                              Never open citi bank account (salary/saving), they are doing all kind of loot.
                              they are not resonding properly to the customers.
                              I could say better name for this company as virtual robbers..!

                              Could you please consider this complaint against citibank.

                                A few months ago I had a request to close my credit card no.[protected] as I have been retired from service and had difficulties to maintain any such cards. Subsequently, I have already received an SMS on 11.10.2011 from citi bank that my above mentioned card has been closed with thanks. Afterwards, I have seen every month SMS are comming to my mobile a mini statement for depositing total amount due to be paid. The period mentioned in SMS is after the clousoure of that a/c. Please do the needful, so that no SMS comes.

                                  i lost my card on jan,blockedmy card applied for a new card by calling up citibank on number [protected].rep saidhave taken the request and was said that will be delivered in 4 working days. i applied on 2nd of feb 2012. its 8th today.i kept checkng at officeaddress every day. andkept calling citibank. spoke rep aswini(who hung up the call), then called 2time again callsget answerredand gets disconnected, after somuchtime i got 1person karthick whotoldmethat pin has been send superate. got i thecard stillno pin. karthick gavea trackingnofor domeother cr service. calledthem somelady picked startedspeaking in tamil.again i called citibank rep HEMA picked thecall shesaid there was no1 receive thedelivery. iaskedher to transfer the call to supervisor. she put meonlong hold and the call wasdisconnected again. still no pin formy atm card. itsmy salary account. please some 1 help me.

                                    Deall All,

                                    I am writing this to complain about the services rendered by CITI bank which are unsatisfactory.

                                    (1) Insurance Policy: I had opted insurance policy (BALIC) at the time of opening salary saving bank account. The bank representative informed that any query pertaining to policy would be handled by CITI bank. I didn’t get premium receipt and policy document and asked CITI bank to provide the same. They informed me to contact Bajaj Alliance help desk. I decided to cancel the policy and send a cancellation application on 25th or 26th January but policy is not closed yet. Please do the same and refund the money.

                                    (2) Lost Debit Card: At the time of opening the salary bank account, bank representative gave me a pre-activated ATM debit card and cheque book
                                    i. Debit card # [protected]

                                    But I requested for another debit card i.e. MTV debit card. The same was delivered to the office mailing address. Please note that bank representative filled out the bank office address on the account opening form.
                                    ii. Debit card # [protected]

                                    I lost this debit card and requested the customer care to block the same and re-issue to same to my office mailing address. The bank representative confirmed my address and I found that the PIN code mentioned in my address was wrong i.e. 500019 instead of 500032. However customer care representative confirmed that the debit card would be delivered in 4 business day to the mailing address and I can update the PIN code visiting the CITI bank. I have received new ATM PIN for the new debit card but haven’t received the debit card yet. I got call on 4-Feb-2011, the guy told me that he was calling from third party agency working on behalf of CITI bank and informed me the debit card won’t be delivered as the PIN Code mentioned is wrong.

                                    I got the 2nd Debit card along with ATM PIN and I also got the ATM PIN for the new debit card however in order to get the new debit card you want me to update PIN code visiting your one n only branch in Hyderabad. What a pathetic service!
                                    (3) Internet Banking: I was able to do Internet banking using 16 digit debit card and IPIN. After blocking the debit card, I am not able to use the net banking service. Is there any other option? If there is not any option, it means I am dependent on ATM debit card and your one n only branch in the city. You may be the international bank but you should learn from the Indian bank. I was using HDFC net banking where net banking is not dependent on Debit card.
                                    (4) Customer care: I failed to connect customer care many times even after providing bank account/ debit card number. Poor IVRS!

                                    Expedited resolution appreciated.

                                        This mail is regarding some fraud activity done by Citi Bank and for that I am going to file FIR Against Citi Bank and writing to RBI and will going to file a case with consumer court, by this way Citi bank is using their customers money.

                                        This email I am writing as i have proper evidence that Citibank did some fraud activity with my account and used my money too because of that I was unable to use my own money for some special purpose.

                                        1. On 4th Jan 2012 I got email from Citi Bank stating:-

                                        • As on 03-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 312147.63. You can withdraw upto Rs 312147.63.

                                        According to this statement on 4th Jan 2012 i can withdraw Rs 312147.63. from my account

                                        2. On 5th Jan I got my account statement by email where my balance was:-

                                        • In statement CLOSING BALANCE was INR 444511.62 which is including the US$2500 and INR amount of this will come to my account if Citi Bank get payment of this US$2500 physically.

                                        3. On 8th Jan 2012 I got email from Citi Bank stating:-

                                        • As on 07-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 312147.63. You can withdraw upto Rs 312147.63.

                                        It means the Cheque o[censored]S$2500 was not cleared and because of that my statement dated 4th Jan was showing balance....... and final withdraw is Rs 312147.63.

                                        4. On 15th Jan 2012 I got email from Citi Bank stating:-

                                        • As on 14-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 312147.63. You can withdraw upto Rs 312147.63.

                                        5. On 18th Jan 2012 I got email from Citi Bank stating:-

                                        • As on 17-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 690473.1. You can withdraw upto Rs 311798.1.

                                        Here i can see that I can withdraw Rs. 311798.10 from my account. but the amount 690473.1 is showing because of 3 cheque deposited, but actual withdrawal balance is Rs 311798.1.

                                        6. On 21th Jan 2012 I got email from Citi Bank stating:-

                                        • As on 20-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 478023.1. You can withdraw upto Rs 99348.1.

                                        Here I am shocked to see the total actual withdrawal balance Rs 99348.1. As my Rs. 212450 missing from my account.

                                        Just to understand this I called toll free number and spoke to Ms. Shriuti who told me this is the actual balance Rs 99348.1 i have in my account and this is because of 3 x $2500 cheque deposited. I tried to explain her that see 18th Jan message where after depositing 3 cheque bank saying " As on 17-JAN-2012, balance in your A/C No. XXXXXX0222 is Rs 690473.1. You can withdraw upto Rs 311798.1" which means on 17th I can withdraw Rs. 311798.1, so where is my Rs. 40,000 which was deposited on 19th Jan in Nehru Place branch and on 20th I got sms that my total withdrawal balance is 351798.1. she was failed to make me understand, I know she know where is the mistake in total.

                                        After this I visit Nehru Place brand met Mr. Anshul who asked me i must take a statement first to understand that there is no error in this when I make his understand about problem, he asked me to meet Mr. Rakesh in Nerhru place branch. This person understood all and said give me some time to understand about this and to make a complaint about this mistake.

                                        I want to take a legal action against bank as this is big mistake bank did, even after having sufficient money in my account i was not be able to use it. And I want to understand why Mr. Anushul in Nehru place branch and, Ms. Shruti was trying that nothing is wrong in my account and balance, whereas Mr. Rakesh in same branch Nerhru place brand understood my problem and told me it balance will come for sure in my account on 24th Jan eveninng.

                                        I am going to give this matter in media as also to RBI too, I am sure this way Citi bank must be using customers money for their own use.

                                        Mr. Rakesh from Nehru Place branch promised me that he will surely escalate this problem with concerned department and will surely give me reply about this personally too.
