    Dear Sir,

I have taken a Personal loan from Citi Finance in Jan’09 for Rs 1.5 Lac for my marriage held on Feb’09. But Citi financial forced me to take ULIP(United linked insurance plan) from Bharti Axa Life for Rs 25k yearly, conditioning that they would only approve loan then when I signed the insurance policy. I that time signed all the docs because I was needy that time. I have been regularly paying PL EMI +Bharti axa life yearly premium but now I want to discontinue the policy as its now out of locking period i.e. 3 years old now. But now bharti axa is giving me only Rs 40k for the amnt I have paid to them is Rs 75k in 3 years.
Its only because of Citi finance who had forced me to take this policy 3 years back.Citi finance may have been doing the same practice with all those needy customers who have taken loan from them
If I break the policy I will have a loss of Rs 35k which I am occurring due to citi finance.
I hereby request you to pls take necessary action against Citi finance who is cheating with the customers on the ground of their financial need.

I am providing you the complete address of citi finance from where I had taken a loan along with bharti axa policy loan plus citi finance loan account no for your ready reference.

      Dear Sir,
MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER IS [protected]
For the month of 13/08/11 to 12/09/11 I received a bill from Citibank (credit card) for which I was charged CPP ASSISTENCE & TRANSACTION FEES of Rs(1145+99).
I was been told that I wont be charged for the CPP assistance but still I was charged.
So I told Citi Bank that I was been told that it was for free & so I won’t pay the bill.
As a result they told me that the bill would be revised and I want be charged for anything.
My complaint number for this complaint ws-[protected]
On 13/09/11-12/10/11 I again received the Citi Bank credit card statement on which my CPP assistance was not reversed but instead I was charged with more late payment fees + interest on late payment fees (300+38) making my bill of Rs1626.57.I again made a complaint on which I was assured that in the next bill everything will be reversed and I need not pay a single Rupee
My complaint number for this complaint was[protected]
On 13/10/11-13/11/11 I received another Citi Bank statement on which some amount of my CPP assistance was reversed and my late payment fees was reversed but again I was charged with new late payment fees .when I again called up I was been told that you again need not pay anything right now and your matter will be taken up , & all your calls will be checked & if we were been told that CPP assistance was free than you wont be charged anything .(I WAS BEEN TOLD THAT A PERSON FROM CITI BANK WILL INFORM ME )
My complaint number for this was -6906
On 14/11/11-12/12/11 I again received Citi Bank card statement on which I was again charged late payment fees + interest making my total amount due of Rs1433.21/-.i again made a complaint on which I was been told that by 21/12/11 they would let me know the status whether I had to pay or not.
As I did not receive a call on 21/12/11 I again called on 23/12/11 on which I was told by 25/12/11 the will let me know whether I have to pay or not.
My complaint number for this complaint was 3574
Than suddenly on 12/1/12 I got a call from Citi Bank that I will have to pay the amount & more late payment fees will be charged to you As a result I asked them to cancelled my Citibank card as a result they gave my cancellation number which is 318458 .when I asked whether I could here the tape they said it is not possible.

      My only problem is that
      1. if I was to pay part payment on my CPP assistance why was I not told on my first complaint and was told on my third complaint
      2. why I should pay late payment fees & interest there on as I was been told that I will get a reply in two days , which they failed to do so. Clearly a mistake on their part
      3. when asked to listen to the tapes why was I denied as clear violation of right to information act

We are making a payment only that no further late payment fees and interest is charged to me

I am writing this letter in confidence that some action will be taken against such injustice and I will be re-imburse for the extra amount paid by me

      Citibank — Wrongly billed amount

Hi, I used citibank credit card last year from Feb to june for almost Rs.20000 and started paying double of what is minimum due payment as when i called up citibank ask them to convert in into EMI they said we can't do it now. So started paying it from there till date paid almost Rs.15000.

Even after paying more than minimum due amount my total bill was not getting reduced so i told customer care people to check this and keep on sending new statement as usual with addiction charges which now shows Rs36000. I had several discussion with them but no result they don't know how to talk to customer properly. I am still ready to pay Rs.10000 to them but they are telling no u have to pay full amount. This is ridicules and i want a solution for it. The customer care people take so much time to respond on phone they keep on transferring calls from one person to the other. I have wasted so much time on this what should i do now.
      Please advice.
      i totally agree

                  Address: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

                  Dear Sir,

                  Good Evening,

I am an account holder of Citibank(Mount road). I tried to withdraw cash from the Indian Bank ATM, which is at Valasaravakkam on 15th August 2011. First i tried to withdraw Rs.10000, the transaction got declined, and again i tried to withdraw for the same amount for two more attempts, but still the cash did not get dispenced. So i tried to withdraw from the nearest IDBI ATM and i withdrewed Rs.10000 only. After seeing IDBI Bank receipt, then i saw that there was a debit of Rs.30000 from my Citibank account . I raised a complaint with Citibank regarding the same and they also investigated with Indian Bank . Then Citibank came back to me with a reply that the transaction was successful.
Without withdrawing money from the ATM, they are showing some reports saying i made the withdrawal. So i asked Citibank to get the Video footage from Indian Bank , and they came back to me with a reply that Indian Bank do not have the Video recording for that particular day.
Sir finally as an account holder there is no security for my account from my account bank Citibank. Its almost more than 80 days and still my issue is not solved. As per the final responce i got from Citibank, i was routed to contact Indian Bank directly for further escalation. I am really doubtfull whether i will get my money back or not?

Also i had reported regarding the same to the Banking Ombusdsman team and to the Commissioner officer ( CCB TEAM). But still i did not get any responce from any of them . I am the only breadwinner for my family and my father is a heart patient( 61 years old). Our entire family is really disappointed because of this issue. This Rs.30000 is not a small amount for a middle class person like me. Because of this issue i afraid to maintain the Bank account itself with Citibank.

Kindly need your assistance to get my money back at the earliest.

                  Thanking you

                    Address: Pune, Maharashtra

Today I met an executive from Citibank who came to our office for Corporate Salary account opening. He informed us about a

very unique Investment plan with a guarantee of 8-10% return with tax benifit. As per him the monthly investment I will

make(1500 or 2000 or 3000) will be invested in govt. or infra. bonds. Not just this, we will get a life insurance cover

from Bajaj Allianz too. And all this with no locking period.

When enquired about more details for the plan, it came out to be a insurance policy for which I will be paying a monthly

premium of minimum rs 1500 and my money will be invested in Govt bonds for 10 or 15 or 20 yrs. They even took a standing instruction to get the premium deducted from my salary account.

As per IRDA rules, one cannot sell the policy without giving all the details of charges that will be deducted from the

premium. but the citibank executive didnt even talked about any deductions. When asked if there are any hidden charges or

                    deduction there answer was NO.

As per them, it was our last chance and we had very less time to decide and go for investment and have to decide about it in few minutes. Through out the conversation, they were stating it as a investment and not a single time they said that It is a policy.

if it is Citibank, who has instructed them to sell the policy
by providing such wrong information then i feel that they are trying to fool the corporate customers as a lot of guys will fall prey to they sayings as it is Citibank they believe. Else if it is they who are personally do it for some gain, then IRDA should instruct the bank to have a check on such persons.

Today came accross executive from Citibank who were misselling a Insurance policy from Bajaj allianz. They were giving a guarantee of 8-10 % return on my investment. stating that its a one time offer which is not available for normal public.

As per them, It is available only with the corporate salary account, which I was opening with them. They mentioned it as a monthly saving which I can opt to be invested (through monthly standing instruction from my salary account)in govt. and infra bonds by citibank for which I will get tax benifit.
As an addon, bajaj was offering a insurance when I do my investment.

As per IRDA, it is required that a person should be informed clearly about the insurance product. But citibank officials didnt disclosed that it is a policy in which my premium will be invested in Govt. Bonds. that too for a period of 10-20 years.

I was shocked by such suggestion from Citibank employees, as experts normally suggest investment in equity if the duration is for such a long period.

If it is something the executive is doing for his commission or additional income then I think Citibank should look into it else IRDA or RBI should instruct the bank not to misguide customers.

Stating that it is sold along with corporate salary account and the executive asking a person to make instant decision within few minutes, a lot of people may be falling prey to it.

Hi, I am a citibank debit card holder. On 31st Oct 2011 i used my citibank debit card in ING Vysya bank ATM (Bannerghatta Road branch) near Dominos Pizza. The amount which i entered during transaction was 5000. After around 2/3 minutes thee machine made lot of sound and then it dispersed only 2500 rupees. Currency notes of 500 * 4 and 100 * 5. I am having the transaction slip with me. Immediately i showed the same to the security guard who was available there. He told me to complain the matter to ING Vysya Bank. When i called ING Vysya bank they told me to call to Citibank as thee card was from Citibank. I called Citibank customer care and registered complaint with them with reference number [protected]. Immediately a credit was made in my account for 2500 rupees and they told me that it will take around 7 days for investigation on this discrepancy. After around a week they called me back and said that after investigation it is found that the transaction for 5000 rupees was valid and the 2500 rupees will be deducted from my account. Citibank deducted 2500 rupees from my account on 15th Nov. I want to know how they investigated on this. I have the original transaction slip, i had even notified the security guard available at that time. If they have CCTV cameras, they can check through that as well. I am in a loss of 2500 rupees because of all this and i want to take this ahead. Please Help me on this.

                          Dear Sir,

I am Ancil A.Nunez from Coimbatore, Citi Bank Card Holder, 2 days back I received my Citibank Statement Dt.13.11.11. I was shocked to see my bill of outstanding Rs.1,20,866.32. Previous month balance was Rs.86,224.12. While going through the statement details I came to see that many international transaction around Rs.47,000/ and credited with U.S.Dollar Domestic transaction of Rs.7,334.55 is done. My transaction for this period is petrol for Rs.350/- from SRI. Nivi Agency, I O C Dealer & payment done for Rs.10,000/-.

Meanwhile my mobile phone was also under repair, only incoming was working, no SMS or other functions. So I was unable to get the messages.
It was a new phone NOKIA product.

Only after 22nd October while sweeping for purchasing petrol, it was not working, it was showing no fund, since I was busy with my work, I couln't contact customer care centre. Meanwhile I was using other bank card. In my statement the phone No & also the E- mail is wrong. My Phone No is [protected] which I was using for past 15 years, but in statement the phone No:is [protected]. I also wanted to know from where this phone no & also wrong E-mail has come.

Soon afer getting my bill I contacted Customer care, I explained my card details, they were trying to connect section Manager, but since he was busy, for 2 days I didn't get him. Yesterday I went to Citibank Coimbatore, TRISTAR building, the reception told any issue u have to contact Customer care only.

What shall I do next ? Should I go to Police Commissioner Office & complain Or else will you sort out this problem. Some how I am not going to pay this international payment with interest.

Awaiting for your positive reply at the earliest.

                            Dear Sir / Ma'am,
The mail given below is self explantory. My wife (Ruhi Ranjan - [protected]) had cleared her credit card bill but inspite of that Citibank kept on adding interest on the amount. When we took up this matter with them through the good offices of Mr Julio Ribeiro, they sent this mail.

But even now when we went for a new consumer loan, we find that it has not been made NIL with CIBL on the other hand its getting compounded still which had affected our credit.

Request for a redressal of the same and our credit ratings to be reinstated.
                            Best regards,

CITIBank Suvidha Account — Remuneration against the cheque not credited on time

                                Hi Team,

This is the 4th incident happened with me since the account opening with CITIBANK.

I have dropped a Cheque at the ATM center here at the Citibank ATM, PALM BEACH GALLERIA, Vashi (W). The Cheque was dropped on last Friday i.e. on[protected] at around 09:15 IST hrs.

The detail of the Cheque is, Cheque Number: 236202 dated[protected] amounting Rs. 46500.00 of HSBC bank, Pedder Road branch.

Now, after 7 days CITIBANK team has sent me a letter stating that they have not found any cheque similar to above details & request me to do the stop payment on the same. (which is done).

Now, very next day i have received an email stating that the cheque has sent for the credit purpose ( through citibank Email alert ).

Now i need the advise what is the action and remuneration i can get from the bank for not finding my cheque in time not giving me the credit in normal working days which has forced me to take the loan money from other source on high intrest rates.

Awiting for the respond from your end.

                                Awaiting for the positive response.

I have a citibank account . From the last one year , I have been receiving phone calls from this number [protected]. When I pick up , most often , nobody bothers to answer almost making it seem like a blank call. Sometimes , in a day I get 3-4 such "calls" . I know this is a citibank call center number because on one lucky day , somebody actually spoke when I picked up the call and told me that he was calling for a credit card offer from citibank . I had very politely and clearly told him that I am not interested and requested him to not make any more calls . The calls stopped for a while , but started in a month's time . So that has been the pattern now . Almost every time, inspite of picking up the call they don't answer and if I don't pick up they go on and on , wasting the battery of my cell phone . This is really frustrating . Today I have applied for the "Do Not Disturb" service from citibank but I am not sure if that would also be of any help seriously . Hence I am going ahead and putting in a complaint here . Any citibank representative who reads this , please ensure that your telemerketers do not give "blank" calls to your customers . It is rude and disrespectful.

                                    Citibank — Blank calls

I frequently have been receiving blank calls from [protected]. The number belongs to Citibank and there is no reason why any Bank employee should give blank calls to customers. Kindly raise the issue with the company to address this issue immediately.
I get calls from citi bank everyday as well. I have told them inumerous time that I am not interested in their products or offerings. Is there a way to stop it?

I have a savings account in the MG Road branch of Citibank. I had issued a cheque dated 12 September, 2011. The cheque was presented by the third party on 8 September itself. The cheque was returned by Citibank citing the reason 'Insufficient funds' and I have been levied a charge of Rs. 275/- for cheque return charges. I do not understand, why I am required to maintain sufficient funds on 8th September for a cheque which is due for payment on 12 September? Add to the probem, I am supposed to pay cheque return charges for a cheque which was NEVER due for payment on the 8th of September?
I understand that at the drop of a hat, the Banks and Credit Card companies levy hefty penalty charges on the customer for any default. Hence, for the harrassment caused to me by the Bank, I propose that damages should be paid to me.
