I have booked a ticket with cleartrip for airlines Air Pegasus for 9th August 2016 for Rs 1755/- for travel between Kochi and Bangalore.

According to cleartrip the fight got cancelled by and they told they will give the full refund in 3 working days. Its almost 3 months and now the cleartrip is saying they will give the money only if the airline gives the money.

I never dealt with airlines and I paid cleartrip. I need the full refund back.

Invoice attached for further details. Please help.

    About a year back, while I was studying in IIM Kozhikode, I enrolled for forex term, for which I had booked 2 way ticket for France last year (Mumbai- Strasbourg and back to Mumbai). While making payment, I got a call from cleartrip and I asked the representative, what would be deducted if I reschedule/cancel the date in December for flying back to India. The representative replied, 8500 + taxes would be deducted on rescheduling/ cancelling, basis which I booked the tickets. In October, when the schedule of final exams in exchange college was out, I decided to reschedule the ticket to come early. However due to too much cost, i decided to cancel it and buy another ticket (Basis assumption that 8500 + taxes would be charged for cancellation). But after cancelling, I didnt get back any refund. The reason given was-- since 2-way booking was done in one slot, and I had already used it one side. Had i been intimated about it in beginning, I would have gone for other alternatives. the 2-way booking costed me Rs. 58, 000, which is very high for me. (BookingTrip ID #[protected])

      I had booked on nov 8 for three days costing 3303 in hotel balaji grand nalgonda.my id no.is [protected] but on nov 10 at the time of check in, the receptionist says clear trip did not confirm him with the room I have faced lot of trouble with this situation as every other hotel there is full. I am just asking for REFUND and I wish clear trip will take care of this issue very soon.

        Hi,

        I made a flight booking through ClearTrip.com for Delhi to Bangkok(round trip); Trip ID [protected]. My flight TG316, dated 02 Sept 2016 and TG323, dated 12 Sept 2016, i cancelled the tickets the ticket prior 24hrs due to medical issue.I submitted all the documents and my flight was refundable and they are that ur refund is for NIL. I contacted the customer support they said they will look into the matter but now it has been more than 2 month. I called customer support several times but there is no satisfactory response but keep on giving me further time-line. I also contacted the floor supervisor but was of no help. Customer support executives even disconnected my call more than 10 times after asking me to hang up.

        In regard to my case, I have the following demands:
        (I) Refund of Rs 23984/- with interest.
        (II) Compensation for the mental harassment and agony that I have gone through and call charges accrued during my illness.

        This is for your information and necessary action.

          On 17th sept 2016 one booking was done for valsala kumari valappayil for travel on 02.12.2016 from kochi to dubai international (Dxb) by air india express. The payment of rs 7200/- was done from hdfc net banking on 17th sept it self.

          But neither i got the pnr no. Or the booking confirmation or the refund so far.

          I want withdraw my complaint with regret please.

          The complaint was about a booking made on 17.09.16 in the name of VALSALA KUMARI VALAPPAYIL for 02.12.2016 to travel from KOCHI TO DUBAI by Air India Express and the payment done from Hdfc Net banking mode.

          I received the ticket printout today and regret for the inconvenince. I tender an unconditional apology to cleartrip.

            Refund denial, cheating passengers TRIP ID:[protected]
            I booked a Del- Bah - Del ticket for 26th Jan 2016, return same day. On way back from Bahrain when I reached the airport I was denied boarding as Gulf Air stated that I had not blocked a seat. after making me run pillar to post they say that they usually overbook flights to ensure 100% utilization and passenger have to block their seats for safe guarding their travel. They tried to bribe me first by offering me 200 dinars, then they said they will provide hotel stay and give me a flight next day at 2pm. I called cleartrip and they had no clue of this rule. I cancelled my Gulf Air ticket and on the spot booked an Air India flight. Upon reaching back to Delhi, I wrote to cleartrip regarding my refund and they have been doing nothing but passing the buck to Gulf Air.

            Below is the mail interaction:-

            When you clearly see in your system and have received the information from the airline that they cancelled my boarding becoz the flight was overbooked and since they gave me an option only to travel the next day post 2pm.

            I had to be India for my meetings so I told them that I will book myself in another next available flight. This is very evident that I am not responsible for this cancellation and it is either cleartrip or GulfAir who had done this intentionally.

            So when you or the airline has taken a call to overbook the flight then why should I be made to pay a full fare. As an agent you had never informed about about early checkin process or reserving a seat 24 hrs prior to departure on Gulf Air is required. When you have the licence to take commission on ticket you also have the responsibility of informing the passenger for that particular airlines rules and regulations.

            Very cleartrip puts the blame on Gulf Air. When I booked my ticket on cleartrip the rule of blocking your seat should have been mentioned. First Cleartrip asks me to provide a letter from Gulf Air, they agree that the flight was over booked and then very clearly denies every point. Hear the recorded conversation made between the clear trip rep and the caller on the cancellation and its reason.

            Gulf Air has given on their letterhead and stamped that their flight was over booked.

            Today, I booked my ticket online from Secunderabad to Sai nagar Shirdi dt:[protected] . till now it is not confirmed, but my money has been debited to your account (cleartrip private Ltd.) Ref. No. CCADJ2AEI2401GAADPGJL7.I need explanation.

              You have added a small clause on t&c that entire booking should be done using debit card. My wallet had 50rs. And so a small amount was deducted from wallet while booking, so the T&C is not met and so cashback is not provided. You people dont give money to 50% of your customers by doing such things. The app also doesnt tell after applying coupon code that i am paying through wallet.The app should tell that cashback wont apply. There are also cases that your app should be updated in order to receive the cashback...

                I have booked 2 rooms in Hotel Suvidha deluxe at Haridwar(12 to 14 Oct 2016) and I got only 1 room till 1 pm. The hotel staff said that the other room is not yet free. When I said that I would cancel the booking, I got the response that go ahead as we do not need a cleartrip booking. The only room provided was so dirty that we have to switch to AC rooms. They gave that readily as it would provide more money to them. We got the second room at 2.45 and the AC room provided had a lot of bedbugs. I was bitten in at least 20 places. After a complaint, they changed the blanket, but it did not changed anything. the whole bed was infected with bedbugs. We had to change the room in the middle of night. I am very disappointed by the hotel services and indirectly by cleartrip that enlists so below par properties on their site. I was the first time user of your site and I believe it would be the last time as well. The linen was not provided in the bathroom in spite of asking for multiple times. We had to pay extra money at the time of checkout for the AC rooms. The staff was very rude and non-cooperative as well. We spoke to the property owner as well and he was behaving like he is doing some favour by giving rooms to us.

                  The Ticket was booked by Airline Scoot but through the Website of Clear trip.
                  The payment was deducted of 13054 from the HDFC Bank Card.
                  The Clear Trip sent msg the Confirmation is done but then suddenly said the ticket is not booked and canceled.
                  But card is charged and they are not ready to resolve the issue.

                    I booked a flight ticket for Jet Airways via them. The airlines rescheduled the flight (basically just changed the flight number). Cleartrip sent me a confusing mail informing about the same. Following is an extract from the same (complete mail in screenshot attached below) -

                    The flight has been cancelled by the airline.
                    Alternate flight option given by the airline is as below:

                    I thought that the flight had been cancelled and I needed to book another one. I did so immediately because I was afraid of fare hikes (I had already paid Rs. 30000 for a return fare within India.) I then asked them about the refund of the original flight and then they told me that the original flight had been rescheduled and not cancelled. On asking the customer care sections of both airlines and cleartrip, they told that the flight had not been cancelled but only the flight number had been changed and since the departure time of the flight remained the same, the airlines won’t give full refund.

                    There has been inconsistency in what they are saying. This is what their last email said -

                    As informed earlier, we have clearly mentioned the flight details and specified that airline has cancelled the flight. Airline has cancelled the original flight and confirmed your ticket in another flight with same departure time. Hence, there is no error from our end and cancellation charges as per fare rules will be applicable.

                    They did not mention anything about the confirmation of alternate flight, or tell me that the this was just a flight number change. So, even though the departure time in the alternate option was the same as that of the original flight, it was not useful to me because it was not explicitly stated that this was the confirmed flight.

                    #4 Clear email notification from Cleartrip informing reschedule of a flight from a previous trip, just to show a comparison

                    1. Call drops to the extent that you almost give up the change you want to make
                    2. No attempts to call back
                    3. Rude & Egoistic staff (2 out of 5 I interacted with)
                    4. Absolute insensitiveness to customer complaints. Mails receive a robotic revert.. 'Sorry for any inconvenience that 'might' have been caused'

Such small things are ignored by common users and they fail to get the cashback and cleartrip says t&c is not met. It was just 50rs, the cashback was of 1700+. Well played cleartrip.
                      You should have a mechanism in which the customers can rectify such errors and also the app should be programmed well enough so that it tells the user that cashback wont be applied.

                        I booked a round trip flight from udaipur-mumbai worth rs5024 on 4th oct, 2016 at 11:44 am with cleartrip id [protected].The amount was deducted from my account but no ticket was booked.Its been 2 weeks now there is no sign of refund.The customer care people keeps on extending the dates of refund as it will get refunded in 2 days 5 days days.There was no official mail sent by cleatrip with respect to the refund status. After sending multiple mails finally they processed the refund on 10th oct, 2016 but still I have not received the refund.The site shows Refund has been credited successfully though its still in processing.No bank takes this much time to process any refund as same bank has processed my IRCTC refund just in 1 day.

                          I made a flight booking through ClearTrip.com for Mazar-i- shrif to New delhi Trip ID [protected]. My flight RQ 944, dated 13 sept, 2016 got canceled but I have not yet received the refund amount or Rs.25500. I got an email from cleartrip saying that the amount would be credit within 5-7 working days. After 15 days when I contacted the customer support they said that the amount would be credited within 5-7 working days but now it has been more than 1 month. I called customer support several times but there is no satisfactory response but keep on giving me further time-line. I also contacted the floor supervisor but was of no help. Customer support executives even disconnected my call more than 10 times after asking me to hang up.

                          In regard to my case, I have the following demands:
                          (I) Refund of Rs 25500/- with interest.
                          (II) I paid credit card due payment bill 2 times rs-3000/
                          (III) Compensation of Rs 10, 000/- for the mental harassment and agony that I have gone through and call charges accrued

                            I had booked two vista rooms at hotel temple towers 2/7/1 Shanmugapuram Naidupuram, Kodaikanal 624101 for 10 Oct 2016 through clear trip vide [protected] for Rs 2256/.
                            When I reached the hotel they said they have no tie ups with clear trip and no rooms booked through clear trip for us.
                            I called clear trip customer care on [protected] customer care guy spoke to hotel manager and assured me for alternate rooms within 20 minutes.
                            They never gave me any alternate rooms and whenever I called them a new guy will attend and the whole story I needed to explain and of no use and they cut the telephone speech.

                              American Airlines has cancelled flight on 6th October from IAH to MIA due to Hurrican Mathew and I have to try and convenience your CSR to get full refund.

                              When I called customer support on 7th October, I did not get proper answer. I have spoken to more then one representative. They were saying “we are not able to speak to American Airlines/ They are not picking up phone. Your team in vague in replying. Your one of representative Nikhil said “whatever credit we will get from American airlines, we will pass on it to you. When Airlines cancel ticket, it has to be full refund. What is “whatever”? Do they know also what they speak.

                              This is delayed too much. Kindly resolve this quickly. Sad to say that, the way I am getting support while booking ticket, same support I am not getting for refund that too where Airlines has cancelled flight. This should have been very smooth transaction.

                              Yesterday, I spoke to CSR named Aditya and he promised call back from his supervisor within 3 to 4 hours. As usual I have not received any call back till now. I also informed him that if I do not receive call, I will complain. It seems they do not care for anything. Aditya informed me to claim refund from American Airlines which I did yesterday.

                              Now I need someone to call me and let me know exact time line for refund.

                              Please fix this ASAP.

                                Refer my above complaint no. wherein still i have to hear from you. some official called me the day i submitted the complaint and i felt the person who spoke suprisingly asking what is the complaint and disconnected the telephone. again he gave a missed call to my mobile no. and i am sorry to ask why you keep good for nothing people in the senior post who cannot give a proper reply and deal with a customer.

                                I am still waiting for three refunds two of which i have already provided details in my above complaint no. on 21/08/2016 another ticket was cancelled and your office has sent a message informing me that an amount of aed924/- refund (trip id[protected]) for which credit has not received so far.

                                I am giving you 3 days time to solve these problem otherwise i have to take up the matter with media and social net works for which i will not be responsible.

                                It is suprising that even lodging a complaint you did not have a courtsey to call or reply me for the complaint or make a refund even if you are claiming that the refund for cancellation will be done in 5-7 days time.

                                  Even today they have sent a misleading newsletter zero prepayment on hotel bookings! Don't pay if you don't stay.

                                    I would like to lodge a complaint regarding the following ticket refunds - the related pnr no and name of the passengers are also detailed.

                                    Today i contacted the company help centre in dubai (tel:[protected]) and checked regarding the second ticket refund for which they replied that they have not received any instruction regarding cancellation.in fact i contacted the cleartrip dubai office for concellation and it was told that the request for cancellation can be either lodged with them directly or with spicejet office. so i got it cancelled thru spicejet office.

                                    I am very sorry to note that the refunds though promised with 8-10 working days no reminder or confirmation is provided by cleartrip.

                                    When enquired about the same today in the dubai office (05.10.2016) the representative said that the refund may take upto 45 days which is contrary to the guidelines given in the refund policy of the company.

                                      I had booked tickets for journey from hyderabad to chennai (Date of travel on 30th sep'16) by cleartrip.com
                                      The flight has been cancelled by the airlines due to some technical reasons, and raised a request with cleartrip regarding the same. I have been assured of refund, but not the full amount.
                                      While deducting the amount, it wouldnt take you more than 30 seconds, but while refunding you take 7-10 days and dont return the entire amount. Flight cancellation is not the fault of customer, why should i bear the "convenience fee and get away charges"!!!

                                      In response to my complaint,
                                      I have received calls from Cleartrip Debit/Credit Card team - the executives being Mr.Sanjeev and Mr. Deepak.
                                      They were not very responsive to the compliant. All they had to ask was my Debit card no., the credentials of which cannot be shared randomly in todays times.

                                      I was asked to share my Debit Card no. details. I am ready to provide my Bank Account No., Bank Account name and the IFSC code, which is required for refund . With the help of Trip ID, i'm sure that it would help in knowing the amount i have paid for the ticket, to track how you have the received amount. They have disconnected the call and were adamant that they would cancel the request and reject the refund amount.

                                      I have raised a refund request with other website as well on same day, where only Bank Account no. was sufficient enough. My payment mode was "Net Banking". You can confirm with Payment Gateway regarding my Account no. They would give you the details.
                                      Why harass the customers when already they are iritated with the way your website works.
                                      I want the refund of my entire amount.

                                        Let me now put in the entire history of conversations and email exchanges that have happened so far with ClearTrip

                                        This booking was made for 16th June 2016 for Moscow to New Delhi for Mubasshir Khan (my Cousin Brother) and was eventually cancelled on 14th June 2016 (well in advance of the Travel date) due to untimely death of his father.
                                        Upon talking to a customer representative from Cleartrip, I was asked to go and speak to airline official and get a Wavier letter from them to get 100% refund of this tickets. This letter has been emailed to cleartrip multiple times by me. I have also attached same with this email as well. This letter was obtained from Air India's Office on Surat Airport and has a sign and a seal from the officials.

                                        Upon request later, death certificate was also emailed to cleartrip to facilitate the refund. Same attached with this mail.

                                        On multiple occasions when I called customer support numbers, I was told that the process in underway and would take some time to make the refund and all information required to process the refund is with them. On a call made on 1st of August, I was explicitly told that the approval has been received and it was now with finance department and payment should be with me in 2 weeks.

                                        After waiting for 3 weeks, when I called again on 21st August, I was told that the refund cannot be made because it was a case of no show. This is something that I do not understand. The tickets were cancelled well in advance and I have a confirmation email from Cleartrip of same. (Please see attached)
                                        so now how can one be no show if the tickets were cancelled? This needs to explained.

                                        Further to this I was told by the representative on the line that the wavier letter that has been submitted by me was written in pen and anybody could write and send that. This is bloody ridiculous. I dont think he saw the sign and seal of the station manager on the letter and this was noticed after 2 months when things came to [censored]? Bloody ridiculous and unacceptable reason and this is something that needs to be handled between cleartrip and air india. Its your problem and not mine.

                                        After being on hold for more than 60 minutes that day, I was told that since it was a Saturday, Airline officials could not be reached. I would be called on Monday and the issue would be cleared. Its been 6 days now and I have not had a single call or email from Cleartrip yet.

                                        Today, I have tried more than 20 times to call customer support number and I have not been able to reach beyond providing my Mobile number and travel date. [Worst call centre system I have used till date]

                                        I booked my tickets last night from clear trip and have been charged twice on my credit card and amount des yes twice .I want refund on my card immediately.we have extensively used clear trip and out of country and need my card which has been blocked due to clear trip charges please act immediately to help me.
