I and My Husband (Dr P B N Gopal, Head of the dept, Continental Hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad were to travel back from Rajahmundry by Spicejet SG 1602 (Trip ID [protected] Cleartrip.com)
But I have received a message from Spicejet on the 29th Nov 2018 citing the cancellation of their flight SG1602. I have actually been waiting to hear the same from "cleartrip" since then. Curious to know what happened almost 21 days later, I logged in to the cleartip website and it said, if the airlines have cancelled, I have to go ahead and cancel on the portal (strange, they facilitate booking from us and take charges, but when the airlines cancel, they don’t facilitate and get back to us--a one way business of sorts!!)
Anyways, I cancelled and it said I will know the refund amount after they hear from the airlines
And within moments I get a refund of Rs 66/--{{Booking Gross Amount was (+)Rs. 4, 990.00}}
It is the airline which cancelled the flight, not us!
Why should our whole money be not refunded ?
ClearTrip customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Your complaint is unclear as the author has not produced each piece of the document in the complaint:
- passenger full name
- date and place of purchace
- issued - e-ticket in full with conditions
or
- PNR number wit receipt
- the agent''s ful name, if any.
So, such anonymous complaint has no grounds and has no reasons.
You can have 3 options for refund:
1. to request a refund from your bank due to lack of service / receipt
2. to request the compensation from service provider, who deducted unknown amount from your card.
at their sites.
3. If in 15-21 days you have not receved the refund or receved the negative reply,
you can start a civil case in local court only.
Note, it is useless to request the same amount from the same service provider / or from bank more than 2 times.
The legal expences can be from !~8000 rupees, if in India, + own efforts
The court must award all losses, moral compensation and paid fees.
