Colive is a serviced apartment company. I stayed with them from December 2019 to July 2020. I left on 10th July and my checkout date was considered as 31st July. As per them they were supposed to refund my deposit on 15th Aug. After multiple followups, they refunded it on 27th Aug and it was less than 50% of my deposit.

I have attached screenshots of my conversation with them. They claim that they deducted charges for the below, which are fraudulent:

1. Electricity and Power backup Rs.2, 375
They did not charge for electricity for the first two months. There was no agreement that this amount would be deducted from my deposit. I had always paid all my dues on time and there were no arrears before I left on 10th July.

2. RM Charges Rs.3, 300
They are claiming that there were missing/damaged items. This is a complete lie. I always kept the apartment clean and in perfect condition. I'm not the only tenant they have done this to, there have been similar complaints from many ex-tenants of Colive. They are also charging for pest control, but all their apartments are infested with cockroaches even before the tenant moves in. There are so many cracks in their apartments. It's not my responsibility to fix their existing issues.

3. DYD Offer Rs.10, 000
This is a ridiculous deduction. They have kept this amount from my deposit for some "customer comeback offer" without my permission. I never consented to this, I was not even aware about this offer until I got my partial refund. After asking their area manager, I found that I can refuse this charge. Who gave them the authority to deduct it in the first place without my permission?

Please help me get my refund back from these fraudsters.

My comments below for R&M charges:

1. Cup-board key missing: Cupboard keys were inside the drawer. Cupboard door was checked by their technician since the door was not working. He removed the lock and key and placed them inside the drawer. The one key that was broken was broken by the previous tenant. I have a phone conversation with Gangireddy about the cupboard issue and their technician Pabitra. There was no service request raised for this since Gangireddy had told me he will arrange it directly. Pabitra had requested Gangireddy many times to drop an email.

2. Wardrobe draw key missing: Drawer keys were inside the drawer. I had not even used them. If they are missing now it is not my problem.

3. Access card missing: My access card was in the same ring as the room key. I had left both in Adelaide's reception drawer since there was no property manager to collect them. Shersingh and area manager Herpreeth are aware of this. I had sent Herpreeth an image of the card and key as soon as I left it. The image and chat screenshot are attached.

4. Bulb damaged: No bulb was damaged during my stay. There was one bulb which I had moved from the living room to the balcony as there was no bulb out there.

5. Bathroom mirror missing: I have attached a pic of the bathroom mirror I had taken before I left.

6. Pest control needed: Their properties have millions of cracks and are infested with cockroaches. Every single person living in their buildings has this issue. Pest control should be their responsibility before a tenant moves in.

I had asked the property manager Debakanta and area manager Herpreeth several times on call and chat to check the apartment before I leave but by the day I had to leave, Debakanta had quit the company and Herpreeth refused saying that the checking would be done after I vacate. This a very convenient way to make things go "missing" or claim they are "damaged".

If there was any issue in the apartment, why would I ask the property/area managers to check the apartment so many times?

    Iam writing on behalf of my son aditya who stayed at colive in bangalore from january till july end. His booking no. Is 105598.

    I was told by my son that he has received the trailing mail from your end.

    It is surprising to note that the original terms and conditions mentioned indicates that the deposit amount will be refunded within 15 days of vacating the room
    . Mr. Aditya has done so following the due procedure. As per your terms and conditions you were suppose to refund the deposit amount in a fortnights time. Having understood ther current overall situation, you have delayed by another fortnight.

    But the most surprising part is you have not refunded the entire amount... Rather only a meager part of the total deposit you have refuned and balance 10000 you retained under your new dyd offer. Can you please explain, have you taken the prior permission or the consent of the individual before retaining the said amount under your dyd scheme? If there is no permission, how can you do so at your own will?

    Secondly, you have mentioned that if the individual is not interested, he should submit a form and then you will take your own sweet time of 30 (Thirty days) to refund the said amount. Can the finance department explain why you will take 30 days when the technology is moving so fast. When we can transfer billions of dollars within in minutes, why do you want to take 30 days... And the second question is if you are taking 30 days time, are you adding the interest for one month which i would be loosing?

    I must mention here that you cannot just at your own will introduce some funny schemes and take undue advantage of not releasing the deposit money.

    Through this email, i would request you to please take this email as my consent and please ensure that the balance amount of 10000 is deposited instantly in the bani account of aditya.

    Prompt response and action from you end is highly appreciated.

    Under the current circumstances aditya too have some commitments and by not releasing the advance money you are putting more hardship to me and him and this is not fair and unjustified.

      Before I vacated the property. I handed over all keys and got everything inspected there and then. Later when I see my final settlement, I could see unwanted charges are being incurred to me which are absolutely pointless.

      I already mentioned all in detailed email and sent to their top management. Waiting for their response. Colive is doing scam during this tough time.

        I left colive on the 28th of June. However I am yet to get my full security deposit. They kept some 6000Rs for welcome bonus which I am not interested in. I keep calling them and keep talking to the system assistant bot. They should atleast return calls but they never do.

          I have a deposit of 14000 im colive athens located in Whitefield, Bangalore. I was offered the refund on 15 july . I have contacted one of the manager after that time frame because I didn't receive my refund, who said he will escalate the case nd informed me i will get the refund on 15 aug. But I did not. Now he is not responding. The customer care is also not responding.

            I have joined colive from last 1 month back but still they people not solved my wifi issues. I am using common wifi from last one month. But from August 1st this common wifi also no working. I have raised lot of complaints from last one month but I didn't get a y response from them. Very bad customer care services. Number always not answerable. I want to leave this place kindly give back my advance money. Thank you.

              Hi everyone

              Please don't ever take an apartment at colive you will regret it big time. I am currently staying in colive and i regret it.

              They will enter your apartment to take your bed if you delay even a single day for rent. They will disconnect your internet at any given point of time. Their bed is full of bed bugs and if you don't believe this review check recent reviews of google and quora

                I added an extra digit in my refund account details.
                It is an incorrect account number and transactions to it would fail.

                I notified colive regarding this and their customer support said that the transaction had failed and they'll process the refund to my updated details.

                I updated my account details but received no refund.

                Now no one from colive answers my query. They cut the call when i discuss this.

                I asked them to provide a utr number for the transaction as proof that it's been processed but they didn't share it with me.

                I have no one to contact to regarding this and colive is not cooperating at all.

                  Hi,
                  I came to colive garnet property (Hyderabad) on november 1st, 2019 when it is new.
                  Issues i have faced! 1) when the geyser installations were happening in the property, the people who came to install had to remove bathroom wall tiles (Not sure why maybe for pipe connections or something) when i came back to the property from office my room was messed up with cement all over room and bed! I was so irritated but calmly went down told them to clean it. They came and removed the bedsheets and pillow cover which they spoiled cleaned the room and left! After that, i was using my own bedsheets.2) i was charged double the amount for one month for food. They said it was by mistake they have sent default charges for couple room food as double and forgot i am staying alone! The property manager laxman said he will remove the charge and admitted the mistake. I also had to raise many service requests and all. But he didn't remove it he said he is working on it! He asked me to leave the mistakenly added amount and pay the actuals. I did so but the fine was accumulating over months for an unpaid mistakenly added amount. After following for few months he removed some part of it and said he will the other part soon! But never happened. While raising the notice period i had to clear those dues to raise notice! When i talked to him he said just pay off that amount and he will adjust that in my electricity bill while refunding your deposit! 3) worst cleanliness, maintainance, support with a very lazy property manager

                  So now, when it comes to the actual deposit payoff! I was charged an amount for bedsheet and pillow cover which they have taken off as said in point 1 (Firstly they cause inconvenience then they remove it as a gesture of sorry and charge me for them as a missing item) i was charged an amount for bedside table which they never provided to me (Actually i was not even aware of it - and there is no space in the room at bed as the room was pretty small) no correction in electricity bill as promised by the lazy property manager laxman (Where he made me pay a higher amount on june 1st saying he will correct it in deposit)
                  Is this because of the management in the property being so stupid, corrupt, and lazy? Or it's actually how colive operates? It's all about how corrupt and stupid the hyderabad property is!

                  I tried reaching customer care many times. I talked to the property manager and his supervisor, the emergency contacts, salespeople everyone. Nothing left to do i am going ahead and pushing everything to social media, consumer forum and this is not the end!

                    I booked a room D-403 in Colive signature towers, Bangalore and moved in.

                    But later on because of the improper ventilation in the room which has only a small window I was facing health issues and mental problems like depression and anxiety which was affecting my health and professional work.

                    Due to current Covid situation, I'm going through a lot of financial troubles also hence decided to move out of the colive property.

                    I kept the backend team of colive and property manager informed that I'll be vacating the room because of the above 2 reasons to which they agreed. Hence, after vacating the room, i informed all the concerned parties.

                    Now when i'm asking for refund of my deposit as i badly need the money to survive, no one is responding at all to the messages and emails sent to them.

                    Kindly look into it and please help me get the money to survive.

                      Despite Several calls and requests we get no proper response or follow ups on our request, Hence We are vacating this property in 4days of our arrival,
                      There is no co ordination between sales and property managers and staff and services and facilities are bonkers. Avertisement and actuall facilities differ. The staff just passes ball to from one person to other nobody cares about greviences. No link in app to complaint as well.

                        I was resident of colive hudson, room no. 405. I checked out from there on 31st may. Colive said i will get one mail regarding my deposit on 13th june & will get deposit by 15th june. But till now i neither get any mail nor any deposit.                           I moved into colive magnum on 23rd march, 2020. The price decided for a single room at colive magnum with the sales manager was 12000 rupees, but as it turned out, the sales manager had given false promises and i had to pay rent of 13000 rupees excluding electricity.
                          So, when i had a chat with the area sales manager teja, i asked him to start my notice period of 1 month, and he agreed to that.
                          The discussion so happened between us was that only 1 week rent will be deducted from my deposited amount and the rest would be refunded.
                          I already had vacated colive magnum premises on 25th may, 2020 which was my last month.
                          So, till today as i am writing this, i haven't recieved any refund.
                          When i raised a ticket on their colive app asking about the refund, they sent a template in which my refund is being shown as negative. They have not taken into account my notice period, and it is unchecked.
                          I want that i should be given my full refund, i have also attached the slip for the refund as sent to me by colive.
                          Neither teja (Area sales manager at colive) nor anyone else is answering to my calls. This is really a sham and pathetic service given by colive.

                            I have been cheated by one of your sales person, they have informed me that because of lockdown declared by government, they r providing a new offer where we can reserve room with a refundable deposit within a time period... Incase of any circumstances if we can't move in the amount will be refundable... And now the relevant sales person is not responding in calls or messages, i couldn't get my deposit amount back.

                            My previous complaint - id 270152... It is more than 72 hours. I havent recd any feedback for te grievances raised. It is shocking. Neither your customer care executives respond though continuously i am calling. I have raised my grievances yet no response.
                            I repeat, my son was staying in skydale 402 having booking no. 105598. He vacated the room on july 28th . As per your earlier terms and conditions, the deposit amount was suppose to be refunded within 15 (fifteen days) of vacating the room. As per the said terms and conditions, the security deposit should have reflected in the bank by 15th of august. But that has not taken place. On the contrary, you have deposited a meagre amount of 4000 something (an odd amount) and retained th ebalance 10, 000 withiyou, mentioning that dyd is a new concept. My question is when the terms and conditions did not mention the dyd how the comanycan retain the said amount. And if you have any such new concept, is it not the responsibility of the company to take prior approval and consent from the individual who has stayed with you.

                            You have neither shared any format to claim the said refund, nor your customer care executives are responding to the calls... For your information, from friday last week till date, i have called more than six times. But i am sorry to say that all these days, inspite of my calls, non from your end responded. We have even tried to reach your sales personnel, but he also did not picked up our calls.

                            We are sorry to inform you that such type of irresponsible behaviour from a corporate house like yours does not suit and it is i feel against the ehics and values of the corporate culture.

                            Willyou please respond to my grievances immediately so as to enable me to move forward for further action. Thanks ravi kumar guardian of m aditya sharma

                                  Hi team,

                                  I made a booking with colive athens, whitefield, bangalore from[protected] to[protected].

                                  Initially sales people (Mr. Srujan_ promised us no lock-in period and i stayed 3 months with colive and cleared all dues within time and checked out the property by raising the notice period. I paid two months rent as advance and people deducted rs. 8500 towards no lock-in and not even a single penny has been refunded.

                                  Worst experience with with colive since beginning like face internet issue for the first 15 days and charged me for that and for electricity bill there is no individual meters and colive used to charge as their wish.

                                  Spoke with sales people and sent mail multiple times and yet there is no responce. Even customer care people also not answering my call.

                                  It is really a humiliating situation for me.

                                    I had booked an apartment through colive on 5-4-2020 and to check in on the day of the lockdown lifts. I was promised by the salesperson that due to the lockdown even if i am unable to check-in to the property, the reservation amount of rs.4000 will be refunded back. It has been one month, they haven't even initiated the refund, and to every calls they say is "it is non refundable" or that "they are working on it". The colive definitely gives fake promises and tend to not meet them. Consumers are suffering because of this. This needs to be stopped.

                                      My complained on many of things like
                                      1) why they are charged very huge amount of electricity. At the time of check in sales manager verbally said for your room light bill is maximum goes upto 200rupees per month, but they are charged very huge amount per month around 1200rupees per month.
                                      Like from last two months i was not using the room but i was paying the full rent on time, but again they charged very amount of electricity.
                                      But when i am asking for electricity bill they not given to me??
                                      2) my second issue is, last 15 days i was requested for double sharing bases but for that also i not received any response. For this issue i tried many persons like sales manager area manager, and many more but not received.
                                      3) third issue is like i will vacant the property they said they will not get your security deposit.
                                      So in this pandemic situation and crucial challenging time they are not support with us?
                                      After following all policies we are not getting own money?

                                      So please help me on this issue and suggest us the best solution for this...

                                        I booked colive glory, bangalore, room no. 602 on 5th march 2020. For booking i had to pay an advance amount of rs 4000. After the payment of my advance amount, i tried communicating with my colive manager and other colive executives regarding my accommodation with colive and the dates of arrival in the room i booked, but they never replied. Its been 2 months since, i'm trying to connect with a colive executive but no one is responding to my concerns.
                                        Recently, i came to know the room i had booked, people are already staying there, and they have not vacated yet. When i asked the colive executive about the possible dates of the current tenants leaving the place, they kept saying, they will get back to me, yet until now nobody has contacted me.
                                        During my booking, i was told if for any reason the shifting doesn't happen, then there will be refund of my advance amount. Due the negligence of colive, now if i'm not able to move, i want the refund of my advance amount immediately. It's already been 2 months, i need my payment back.
                                        I've attached all the communication proof with the executives, including the proof where they confirmed about the refund of my advance amount.
