[Resolved]  ABN AMRO Credit Card — FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT

Hi,

I was using the Abn amro freedom credit card during[protected]. I had an outstanding of 21, 000 and I wanted to close the account. So collection dept, told me I can pay 14, 000 and they can give full and final settlement to close the card. I paid this amount to the collection dept, but as promised they have not sent me the full and final settlement letter. They stopped calling me asking for my dues for nearly 7 months, which made me think my card account was indeed closed. But 7 months later, the bank called me saying I still have some 9000 to be paid to the bank as outstanding dues. I was surprised that my card was not closed, even after paying for full and final settlement. I refused to pay the amount and fought with the bank. Later they have added me in the CIBIL defaulter list. They have spoiled my credibility, because of which I could not utilise any loans or anything from other banks too. Someone, has to teach ABN amro some ethics.

ON 5H AUGEST 2009 THROUGH AXIS BANK CHEUQES. CHEQUES ALREADY PAID BUT
COLLECTION.

I am taking laon on 25th March 2008 bank sent dd on 28th March of
Rs.48882/- and clr my

account 02.04.2008. and first emi immeidately within three days. I am
paying cash on regular basis

but your call centre guyes harresing me on phone. in first statment
Rs.1882/- debited me. but what is this amount. if insurance amount

but Rs.50000/- insurance premium is very high. my loan tenure is 24
months form April 2008 till july 16 emi

billed and i am paying total 16 emi as per my records.

ABN AMRO Bank / Credit Cards — Undue charges on credit card spoiling my credit rating

ABN Amro Bank has been levying undue charges on my credit card payments for the last 1 year. The story started when one of my chques dropped at their ATM at least 5 days prior to the due date but was picked up for clearance late. Despite of my repeated requests through email, they refused to reverse the charges and started charging late payment fee every month over the late payment and rested at Rs. 11692/- finally. Now I have been approachng the to make a payment of their administrative charges upto Rs. 1000/- but they do not agree to it.

I think CIBIL has made these people too fearless and the consumers have to suvvum to their undue demands. What van I do now, when I have paid for all prchases on time?

ABN AMRO Credit Card — harrasment

very long back , i have received a phone call from abnamro credit card executive regaring supreme experience offer . i just listened and asked for some documents or mail regarding that offer and said that if i satisfied with the offer then only i will go to this offer.
i haven't received any documents or mail till now, they are charging the amount rs. 4500 . i called customer care somany times for cancellation of this offer. but they didn't.

finally , i have decided to use that offer ( becuase of the harrasment from the finace services of abn amro bank) and asked the call center execute.

but surprisignly, they said, it is not possible to use that offer .
according to their words, i could not use that offer and i should pay the amout.

please guide me in this regards
Having levied unjustified charges like 'Jet Set Go fee of Rs. 4500 and some over limit usage charge of Rs. 600' on my credit card which was ofcourse not paid after talking to their customer help desk, ABN Amro Bank is now ready to reverse these charges but not the late payment and interest charges on this reversed amount. The mail below is self explanatory. Wish CIBIL takes note of this and penalise these foreign banks who are dishonest and spoiling the banking industry in India.

Rs. 266/- has become Rs. 6000+ in a short span of just 7-8 months after reversals stated above. Even Rs. 266/- was not a default but remained unpaid due to discrepancies in the statement and non reversals of the undue charges.

We are arranging to reverse the Jet Set Go fee of Rs. 4500.00 and over limit fee of Rs. 600.00 along with associated service tax. The credit will reflect in the next card statement dated October 10, 2009.

Please note that late fees are levied due to non payment of at least minimum amount due within payment due date. The finance charges are levied due to non payment of total outstanding within payment due date.

Hence, we regret that we are unable to reverse the late fees and finance charges levied on your card account.

i have faced a lottttttt of problems with my abn amro card. i always get some weird charges on my a/c and on calling the call centre they say that abn amro guys have taken my approval and provided me some facilities due to which i've been charged...and there is absolutely no written communication about all this!! i'm not even aware of the facilities that they've supposedly offered me for the charges. one such charges were Oriental Express fee debit!! What the hell is that now?? I have blocked my card 6 months back and then pops a statement with Rs. 4971 (incl. ser chrgs)....when i called the call centre pat comes the reply that they've taken my consent for some pre-approved vacation! And i've not got any documents stating what this means! first of all there was no one who called me from their end, second where's the proof, third they lie thru their teeth that they've taken my consent.
REVERSE THIS AND CANCEL THE CARD AT ONCE. I DON'T WANT ANY MORE LIES FROM ABN AMRO...ME AND MY HUSBAND ARE TIRED OF SOLVING ALL THESE HASSLES. WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO SOLVE ALL THESE FOLLIES WHICH ARE COMMITTED BY YOUR BANK.

I have read about the problem that u have been facing with your abn amro bank credit card. Here s a small suggestion i would like t give you to tackle it. In spite of getting angry do this i can definitely tell you that u can get rid of this.

First thing is as you said when u have spoke to the call centre people of abn amro they told u that they have given some special offers for you which you say you are not aware as you have never accepted for this, in this regards generally what happens is when ever the bank try to give any offer to the customer there will a separate sales department who would actually call up the customer and confirm weather the customer is Interested to avail the offer or not, this case the call will be recorded. Here now you can ask the bank to either give a proof which says you have accepted for the offer, if the bankers denies to provide it, write a complaint through mail to the service department about the prob that you are facing as well as to the add of the service dept thru post. Here after you send wait for the response from the bankers for 10 working days, still if you dont get then write a mail to the head service department of abn amro bank. The respected email id will be mentioned on the statement. And then wait for another 7 working days, Still if you have not got any reply WE CAN ESCLATE OUR CASE TO THE OMBUDSMAN AT RBI. THE CONCERNED DEPT PEOPLE WOULD CHECK ON THIS AND YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED WITH IN 10 DAYS OF TIME.

I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS IS TIME TAKING, BUT FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO RESOLVE IT IF NOT THE BANKERS KEEP YOU CHARGING YOU WITH THE UNNECESSARY FINANCIAL CHARGES. aND MOREOVER YOU CAN NOT TAKE A LEGAL ACTION WITHOUT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU TRY TO TAKE A LEGAL ACTION DIRECTLY THE LEGAL ADVISOR WOULD FIRST ASK YOU TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS AND EVEN THEN IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE THEN ONLY HE CAN TAKE A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST IT.

ABN AMRO Credit Card - Makemytrip — Haresment and Misbehaviour by Call center Staff from Delhi

I have received call at 10.39 from the following number [protected]. This was regarding a travel voucher offer from Makemytrip on My ABN AMRO Credit Card. As I was busy in a Meeting, I refused to listen to the call center staff and hung the phone. After that,I have repeatedly been called at 10.44Am from [protected], 10.48 AM from [protected], 11.05 AM from [protected].

Had Missed calls from the above nos at 10.47 AM, 10.48Am nd11.12AM

I request ABN AMRO bank to take action on the call center staff. This is not the way a customer should be forced upon something. I think, the call center shouldstop callingme onceI have refused to a offer.

I have got a call from ABN amro call center from Noida and they told me that you have to settle the credit card dues of around 20, 000 which finally they told me can be settled in Rs. 6500/- they have sent me scanned copy of the letter by email from some email id of Abhishek Bajaj from in.abnamro.com.
I am not sure whether to pay and close the card which they said that they will take out all the legal proceeding and the name from CIBIL as well.
Please someone let me know if this is trustworthy to settle this on scanned copy sent by email
and also tell me if they really settle the account and take out the black listed name from CIBIL?

sir i am the holder of abn amro credit card . iamthe loyal customer and i make no dues on the card . ialso brought to your notice i also made the card statement zero as on 30042008.after that i surprised to note that i havereced a message saying that my name will be listed incibil .they did not contacted me for anything. after that when i applied to car loan at sbi it was rejected due to the reason my name showing a over due balance in cibil.but i made several email to abn amro bank they said cibil will take 60 days time . ialso sent a letter to cibil during september for removing my name immediately for which i havenot reced any reply but abn also not taken any measure to remove my name so far.as a result of delay in removing my name in cibil iamnot in a position to talk to sbi because they are not willing to accept any thing like no due certificate from abn amro etc.so iam under going mental tension. on the other side ihave made an advance payment of rs 10000 to the car dealer for which he raised invoice and telephoning me .i am in a embrased positionbecause of the delay and my reputation is also affected.why should no t i claim compensaion for all these things
