[Resolved]  Acer Laptop — Surely the worst

1.i have bought new acer aspire 5920.i installed xp in it but when i shut down it, it hangs up at "system is shutting down" but it doesnt shutdown. Please solve this problem.

2.i tried to install linux somany time, but it is asking for some drivers.

please let me know where the customer care center near pune is available and i need to install linux urgently. please solve this issue as soon as possible.

I have problem in my Acer Laptop.The problem is that sometime LCD screen get off white and all application are working in background.when i have Hibernate or restart the laptop then it has came into its original state.

I had already checked it with the Acer Customer service center (bhubaneswar, orissa), and as per them thay have repair some LCD component.But now the problem is still remain the same and happen again & again.So let me know the solution and kindly DO THE NEEDFUL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

i have bought new acer aspire 5920AB 3GB Ram / 320 HDD .i installed xp sp2 in it.with Mcfree antivirus in it. it works properly but when i shut down it it hangs up at "system is shutting down" but it doesnt shutdown. i mouse also hangs.and for shutdown i have to press the power button. Hi, I have Acer Aspitre[protected] laptop and I am trying to format it. I go to the command prompt and type formar C:, it keeps teeling me that this utility shouldbe runnung in elevated mode. What should I do. I always get a message telling me "Begining dump of memory", my laptop infected with a virous thats why I need to format it. Then I can put everything back to my laptop. I am not happy with the service. There is no telephone numbe rto assist me. Please tell me whats the best solution to get rid of the virous and how to format it?
Please I need help.

I bought a ACER Laptop 5920 (invoice no.4123 dated 26th May'08) from Acer's authorised dealer from Dehradun"Comp Care". It worked well 13 days and after that it's display went off.

I took the Laptop to ACER service center at Bareilly and after 3 days they told me that the problem is in "inverter port" and they have to import it from Bangalore. After 9 days they told me that " no no. the problem is in LCD." and now they have to import this part also which again may take SEVERAL days.

So overnight from Bareilly I brought the laptop their shop after the shopkeeper told me that the problem would be solved in 2-3 days but it did not happened.

Then they told me that it will be repaired by 20th June. Again I came all the way from Bareilly to Dehradun and they showed up and told me that now it will be OK by 24th but as usual it didn't happened.Then they told me that even we haven't received the part yet and delayed it further.

No proper response has been observed till now and they are not even picking up the Phone.

I HAVE TO REPAIR MY LAPTOP
PLEASE GIVE ME THE ACER LAPTOP SERVICE CENTER NUMBER AND ADDRESS

I have bought Acer aspire 5920 in june 2008, but only ater 3 months of purchase its adoptor (charger) is not working. It is in the warrenty period. But acer has not yet replaced the charger, even after 1 month of the complaint.

Acer- Aspire Laptop — Dealer ruining laptop

My laptop's DVD burner was not working. I took the same to High Tech Computers, Bandra, Mumbai, India. They asked me to keep the laptop for the day to fix the problem. I did the same for 4 continuous days. And at the end of it, they somehow, managed to ruin the laptop completely. It does not respond to any action currently, and shows up lines on startup. It is as good as unusable at this point in time.

Please assist on this ASAP.

I have just purchase a new ACER Laptop Aspire 4720Z... The notebook worked fine for a month, then .the DVD Drive stopped working. A week later the battery showed signs of getting discharged immediately. Took the notebook to the service center in Andheri (Mumbai) where they replaced the DVD Writer. For the battery I was told I have to download some applications and then the battery would work fine. It's been 3 weeks already I have downloaded the application, but the problem still persists. When i contacted the helpline number, they said, someone will get back to me in a week's time. It's more than than 2 weeks now and there is no sign of that phone call.

The service centre says they cannot touch the laptop until they get instructions from the service center.

Now being a customer, I would like to know... HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO SOLVE A COMPLAINT. If this is the pace at which Acer is operating, I am sure you will go down in history for the slowest customer support provider... !!

I purchased an Acer ferrary a year ago and paid around $3000, last OS disc, so the laptop drive crashed once and I order a set of recovery discs from Acer, but they sent me Norton ghost image, instead of OS or an OEM disc.
the ghost image disc worked once but again had the same problem which laptop won't boot and complain about missing system 32 file which only can be find on original disc, I called them several times wasted my time and put lots of charges on my cellphone bill, even sent tones of email but didn't get any results, Acer technical support department really suck they even don't have enough knowledge about computers. they just playing game over and over.
Hope this company go to hell.

I have an acer aspire 5920g with vista prem.
recently the screen has stopped working, i turn it on but i cannot see anything.
