SUB: NOTICE BEFORE FILING CONSUMER COMPLAINT

Hi,

I have applied for MOBILE NUMBER PORTIBILY from IDEA postpaid to AIRTEL postpaid (MOBILE NO: [protected]) on 09/05/2011 and i was told that it would be done within 7 days as per TRAI RULES AND REGULATIONS. Today is 24/05/2011 and my no. is not yet completely transferred to AIRTEL. Both Outgoing & Incoming calls are active. I have called to the MNP HELPLINE NO. = [protected] but there were not able to provide me clear instructions, they just provided me with complain nos. 37453485, 37588370 and MNO Order No. 38660340. I went to IDEA CUSTOMER HUB as well but they said that there is no rejection from there side. Everytime, i called in AIRTEL MNP HELPLINE NO. = [protected], i was told that i will get a call within 24 hrs or 48 hrs, but i have nver received any call from them yet.

I also went to your AIRTEL CUSTOMER HUB at Mahadevpura ,Bangalore several times and there the manager Joy told me that its approved and should have happened by now. Though Joy was helpful but there was no resolution to my problem. I want you to please take proper action on it and get my issue resolved within 24 hrs.
I have opted for Postpaid Subex Ltd (Also known as Subex Azure) corporate plan.

This is the last time, i am requesting you to take action on it and if my problem persists, I am ready to file a complaint with the CONSUMER FORUM as I am protected under the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT of 1986.

The consumer complaint will be at your cost and expenses, and I will seek compensation for the mental agony caused due to the deficiency in your services.

i had applie for change of my operator frm airtel to vodafone..my port code is ad 712675.....on 30 jan 2011 i had applied fr it....on 4th february i received a msg frm vodafone saying my request has been approved by my current operator...but to my surprise airtel discoonnected my number on 4th feb...wen i called d airtel customer care dey told me dt my nmber has been permanently deactivated...airtel is getting insecure about its users lately...dey told me dt dey hav discnnecred my number due to incomplete documents...i hav used my nmber fr 8 years wd airtel,dey never had any problems den but wen i opted to change my operator,my documents r now incomplete...pathetic!!!!!
i request mr RAKESH RANGA OF AIRTEL to pls look into d issue as i m facing a lot of problem

Hi Rakesh,

I just has a discussion with the Idea nodal office person, he said the UPC submitted my Airtel guys at mahadevpura branch was wrong, that the only reason for the rejection.

So according to Idea its a complete goo[censored]p from Airtel's side. You need to resolve the issue at the earliest, else I need to seek help from TRAI.

Reason - Idea's network is not good in my area.





1) On 9th May 2011, I requested for MNP by sending PORT [protected] to 1900 (This no. generates MNP unique code)

2) In sometime I got a sms from 1901 with the unique porting code "IX325565" with expiry date of 24th May 2011.

3) Same day I went to Bangalore Mahadevpura airtel centre to apply for MNP from Idea to Airtel.

4) Airtel representative "Joy" was handeling the request. Another Airtel representative filled up my form, collected passport size photo, Pan card copy, electricity bill copy, got the form signed and handed over the sim card with the no. "[protected] H2-WD".

5) He ensured that the process should take min 4 working days and max of 7 working days,

6)I got a MNP update on 12th May 2011 from 1901 that " Request for porting to Airtel has been received and the application is in process"

7) After this there were no updates and hence two times I visited Mahadevpura Airtel office and Joy kept telling that it is under process and I should wait. On my second visit she also provided me with her mobile no. ([protected]) so that I can ask for the updates.

8) Mean while I was constantly doing follow ups with Airtel MNP help line no[protected] and Idea help line no.[protected], but I failed to get any information regarding my MNP status. Airtel customer representative kept saying that they can see an MNP request for 12 May 2011, so i should wait for sometime. The also provided me with few ticket Ids[protected],[protected] Also with MNP Order No. 38660340.

Where as Idea Customer care was totally unaware of any such request generated from my number.

9) After constantly messaging Joy shereplied few of my texts, saying

24 May 2011 - Sir today I did not go for work.

25 may 2011 - Your order got rejected and they are telling to apply for a fresh reqest, please send me a new MNP code as the older one got expired. You can sms me the new code, no need to visit the showroom. )I forwared a new MNP code "IX346623" with expiry date 9th June 2011)

26th May - Sent mail yesterday to the MNP department, still waiting for the reply.

27th may 2011- Its in process, the account no. is [protected].

10) I have also raised a complain againt Airtel at http://www.consumercomplaints.in, same can be traced using the link

http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/mnp-not-done-c580455.html. This was submitted on 24th May 2011 and I got a vague reply from some Airtel representative Rakesh Ranga on 28th May 2011 & 29tth may 2011 that the issue has been resolved. There was no detail about the resolution, my idea sim is still active and MNP has not happened.

11) Mean while is send my complains to Airtel, Idea, TRAI email ids ([protected]@trai.gov.in, [protected]@airtel.in, Corporate Accounts <[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com>) to resolve the issues but there were no solutions provided, they did not even replied back, except TRAI who forwarded complains to the following email ids ("ajay.sharma" <ajay.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com>,
"Hemant.Coomar" <Hemant.[protected]@airtel.in>, "rahul.vatts" <rahul.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com>, "ajay.sharma" <ajay.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com>).

12) I aso sent couple of emails & sms to Ashish gupta who is the manager for Subex Idea corporate accounts, but her did not even replied to mails and gave fake commitments by replying the SMS (Gupta Ashish <gupta.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com>, [protected])

13) I was also constanty following up with syed from Idea Nodel office to give the reason for MNP rejection as Airtel faild to provide the same. I got to know that a wrong MNP code was submitted by Airtel MNP dept, due to which Idea has rejected the request.
14) On 30 May 2011, I again went oto Mahadevpura Airtel shop and asked for an update from Joy, she said that she has forwared a correct MNP code to the Airtel Sales/MNP team but they entered the wrong code in their system. She also made me read the email and check the code that she sent, it was correct.
15) On 01/06/11 I got this account no, from Joy (Person at mahadevpura Airtel showroom) [protected].
17) Anil from Appelette office also confirmed that now everything is fine, and in another 7 days MNP will happen.
16) But when I called up Airtel MNP helpline, Customer executive said that this is just an account thats created in your name, there is no mibile no. associated to it. Even MNP tracker can no list my mobile no. So till now there is no Update on MNP.


I have all the emails and SMS backups exchanged between Airtel, Idea and TRAI.

Do let me know if anything else is required.

I have not received any response from either of the carriers regarding the MNP till date neither did my number port to vodafone

    Sudden, unfortunately I lost my sim card which I had no.[protected] in your telecommunication services a last week.
    I told in yours care-person customer centres reason of that they replied as same answered to me that it'll be get as re-register through by Airtel Service Telecom-Centre. But, still I am not getting any information about that damaged sim-card.

    So, these are the small matters I suffering, now a days and I hope you would be accept my prayer cited complaint as above.

      AirTel — loss of simcard

      I am having an airtel connection bearing number [protected] which is a prepaid lifetime connection. I have lost the simcard of this connection when the phone was given for repair. the number is registered in the name of my husband V.K.Krishna Kumar, resident of B-7/33(GF), Sector-15, Rohini, Delhi-110085 (now changed to 110089). I would be very grateful if the simcard is blocked so that no one else can make use of it and i would also like to know the procedure as to obtain a new sim card for the same number. i shall be grateful if you would let me know at the earliest.

      My father (Mr.Baby Oommen) has lost his mobile No. [protected], Sim Card No.[protected] while travelling in an autorickshaw on 23/07/08. He has lodged a complaint with Kalyan Main Police Station vide Complaint No. 9226/08 dated 23/07/08. He has also met Mr. Niket, CRO at your Dombivili Office and requested him to cancel Sim card no. immediately.
      Kindly cancel the Sim card immediately in order to avoid misuse by anyone. He wont be responsible for any call made on this mobile from 23/07/08 at 1230 hrs IST.

      I had an airtel sim card. When i lost the mobile phone, i lost the sim card as well. i informed airtel that the mobile had been lost and therefore the sim needs to be deactivated. after 3 months i received a lawyers notice stating that i need to pay the service charges for all these months, though i have not received a replacement nor utilised any of their services. is there anyone who can guide me as to what action is required on my part ?

        Dear Friend,

        I am exposing the illegal activities of Airtel (most unethical company, I have seen) and will describe how they forcefully deduce money from consumer's prepaid accounts. I am giving the details of company's modus oprendi to cheat consumers.

        In short I am thinking to go to lodge a legal complaint (also posting to every website) against Airtel on account for following illegal activities
        • Even after activating DND service sending messages to customer and violating the personal privacy and putting customer in extreme mental torture.
        • Illegal backend activation of services without customer’s permission and illegal transfer of money from customer’s account to Airtel account.
        • Extreme mental harassment by doing financially illegal activities against customer every now and then since months.

        It started couple of months back. Company started deducting money from my account in the pretext of "Java game downloads" (which were never downloaded) and Value added service (forceful activation without my permission). I am going to give the recent example (one of the many) in chronological order,

        Date: 21-05-11; 23:07 message from AD-54321- "Thanks for downloading Java games you have been charged Rs99/=
        Date: 21-05-11; 23:09 message from AD-54321- "Thanks for using weeklysub subscription services you have been charged Rs15/=
        Date: 21-05-11;"PUSH MESSAGE": enjoy 1 day trial of model of the day for free, charges will be Rs 50/= month will apply after free trial, to stop click on the link xyz (which does not work)

        I already have activated DND and it is illegal to send such kind of “Push messages” to me and harass me. I did not download any game or any such things. I did not subscribe any service. After calling to customer care at least 100 times (going through extreme mental torture) they accepted their mistake (complaint no. CBDAL[protected]& 79 & CBDAL[protected]) and returned my money.

        BUT the same day again
        Date: 22-05-11; 17:19 message from AD-54321- "Thanks for downloading Java games you have been charged Rs50/=
        Date: 22-05-11; 17:45 message from AD-54321- Thanks for using weeklysub subscription services you have been charged Rs20/=
        Date: 22-05-11;"PUSH MESSAGE": Get cricket alerts at Rs 3 day/= and then it was activated (without my permission, forcefully)

        After calling to customer care again at least 100 times (completely exhausted and frustrated) they again accepted their mistake (complaint no. COVWC[protected] & COVWC[protected]) and returned my money. To stop messages I again fought with customer care for at least 1 hr complaint no. CBDLA[protected] and get the assurance that these things will never happen again.

        BUT again
        Date: 23-05-11;"PUSH MESSAGE": Get daily video at Rs 30/week to unsubscribe click here…. (a link which never works)
        Date: 23-05-11; 21:25; message from AD-54321- "Thanks for downloading Java games you have been charged Rs90/=

        I called customer care again and the gentleman sitting there (Mr. Ranjeet at 198-11, time-21:13, date[protected] told me not so politely that I will never return your money irrespective of whomever mistake. I told thanks and final goodbye to Airtel.

        This is only one of the many same events in the recent past. After this very event, I finally decided to cut myself off completely from Airtel forever. Moreover I am thinking to file legal complaints against the company for its un-lawful behavior towards customer.

        In summary I am thinking to go to lodge a legal complaint (also posting to every website) against Airtel on account for following activities

        Me totally agree with the complaint...forceful deduction of money from my prepaid number has really turned a fun for those ...i gz...now i am losing rs 10 for every 10 days ...when i call up to enquire they end up saying u hav subscribd to airtel talkies...i dont know is that a gene or something that plays with ma num...huh...

          I have sent request to port my BSNL card to airtel on the promise that my card will not work only for 2 hours... Now they say the card will not work for 7 days when the service from bsnl is stopped and airtel card is accepting messages but no calls.... now I am losing my business for their false commitment and irresponsible job....             I HAVE BEEN USING THE HELLO TUNE OF "OM NAMAH SHIVAYA" SUNG BY SHRI. MADHU BALAKRISHNAN, MALAYALAM PLAY BACK SINGER, SINCE THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS IN MY AIRTEL MOBILE CONNECTION. CONSEQUENT UPON MY OPTION OF TONE FOR A LONGER PERIOD, I HAVE RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON[protected] STATING THAT MY HELLO TUNE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO OM NAMASSIVAYA ABSOLUTELY FREE. BUT THE CHANGED TONE WAS NOT GOOD/APPEALING AND SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN REQUESTING TO SWITCH OVER TO MY ORIGINAL "OM NAMAH SHIVAYA" SUNG BY SHRI. MADHU BALAKRISHNAN, MALAYALAM PLAY BACK SINGER WHICH HAS NOT MATERIALIZED SO FAR. KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM GIVING SPECIAL ATTENTION FOR THE REASONS BEHIND THE DELIBERATE CHANGE OF TONE WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND THE MOTIVE BEHIND IT.

                I work here in Mangalore and I wanted to change my plan for this number ([protected]) from Postpaid to Prepaid.
                I visited the Airtel service center in Kottara(April 25), Mangalore requesting for the change. They asked me to get some Identity proof which included PAN, Ration Card etc. Upon providing the photo copy of ration card, they said that the photo was not very clear and would require a much more clearer photo. Unfortunately, none of the photocopies I provided over the next few days made them happy. They suggested that I go for a ‘Lighter Copy’ which is supposed to give a much better picture clarity. After a day or two, I took all sorts of photocopied documents (PAN, VOTERS ID, DRIVING LICENSE etc) to them. I believe that it was definitely in an acceptable clarity level. When I went there, they asked me to come in the next month(May) to submit the request because they have already achieved their targets for the current. I pleaded further to consider my request, as I was finding it very difficult to find time to do all this repeated nonsense in between my daily work. They told me bluntly that they cannot do anything about it and were not interested to take my request. I was fed up running around to your service center just to submit this simple request.

                I have been a loyal customer to AIRTEL from the past 10 yrs now but in many instances encountered over a period of past one year, I have observed that their service quality has deteriorated badly. I no longer feel proud or good to be associated with the Airtel brand and thus wanted to shift to a new service provider. So I applied for Number Portability.

                Someone from airtel office called me and pleaded to continue with their service and they gave me a Service Request No. 37218417 which would address my request for postpaid to prepaid conversion. I agreed. After that my mobile has totally stopped working(May 5th onwards). When I called their service center asking for the status, I get an answer saying that my connection has been released and the number is no longer available. I guess airtel just wants to trouble the consumer by inactivating the number for having applied to number portability. If they are not interested and incapable of providing any reasonably good service, they should accept the reality and have the courtesy to inform the consumer that the number is being disconnected and the reason for the same.

                I have recieved hell number of calls from some clowns in Airtel apologising and saying that they will set it right. Nothing has happened till date. I have already bought a new connection too. After all this harrasment, I just wanted a confirmation to me that this number is disconnected and no longer in my name for whatever reason. I want a confirmation from them that this number is disconnected and the reason for disconnection. Let me just throw off that SIM. I don’t want to get some other issues on a future date due to your half baked services. But even that is not done till date. I have not yet paid the bill for the month of april which was due 2 days back because i have no guarantee that these clowns will even refund my security deposit.

I have call your provided no for deactivation but it's vain. Your customer care person is not properly answering.He again and again disconnect my call. I have no so much time for your worst service. Airtel is so poor and cheap company that it is automatically deducting customer's money.If you are efficient then do your business in proper and truthful way. It is always happen with me.                   My cell no. [protected].I was activating paln of 40paise/min but last from 2 days plan is deactivated without intimation by SMS or call because of that i lost my 40 rupees as calling rate changed from 40paise/min to 1Rs/min which is unknown to me.So before deactivating any plan airtel should have responsibility to give intimation to that respective person.Customare care person also not able to give answer of my questions and he waiting my call upto 30min which is worst thing.Lastely i had disconnect the call but still amout is not refund.

On 22nd April my Outgoing barred due to wrong ID submitted when i confirm with the shopkeeper he contacted the Distributor in Ramesh Nagar Mob No. ([protected]). He said that it was mistake of excecutive under him and he fired him for this mistake. Then he said that your number will be unbarred in 48 hrs and asked me to resubmit the documents on Airtel. I went to Tagore Garden for resubmitting the documents but the excecutive named Preeti deny to take the documents then i called the distributor then distributor gave me the number of Mr. Saurabh (TM) ([protected]) after a long fight from me and distributor Preeti took my documents and distributor said that he is going to mail the same concern to Higher Authority and give me two days time. On 25th when my number still not started i went to Distributor he said we are going to activate within 2 days. From that day till now i am calling to Customer Care Twice or Thrice a day, visiting to distributor every day, Calling to Mr. Saurabh four to six times per day and going to Airtel Tagore Garden everyday but same response we are working on it. Now my number has been barred completely. Somebody is saying that your number will not unbarred, somebody is saying it will unbarred on 31st May, somebody says we cannot help you contact your distributor.

                    Now please help me.

When i mailed customer care on 14th April 2012 they told me reasons for deactivation. I asked them to re genrate same number for me because i was using this number from last 4 years and i will incur great losses if same number is not given to me. To my surprise i was told number has been given to another customer. This is clear violation of TRAI regulation's. How a number can be re-cycled and given to another customer with in 14 days.

                    My number [protected] is DEACTIVATED without giving any reason. i have enrolled from for my family plan for which my Parent number is [protected] on 7th Feb 2015, even after a month it was not done, so I have complained online. Against which I have been receiving calls from various AIRTEL agencies. Finally I have agreed to Mr. Prasad of Manshen Telecom. I have submitted all relevant documents online at [protected]@gmail.com. But to my surprise number [protected] has been deactivated without a valid on 26th March 15. Post which I have been asked to pay Rs 300/- as RE-ACTIVATION. I have agreed to do so. I was supposed to get SIM card home delivered on 28th March as communicated by Mr. Prasad of Manshen Telecom. Have waited till 6 pm, but i haven&#039;t received it, post which I have been calling Mr. Prasad on [protected], but in vain he is not receiving calls. Again I have complained online, none them has any clue whether its SAMBARAN GHOSH, VIJAYETA PRIYADARSHIN or MOHAMMED FAHEEMUDDIN.                         I am airtel subscriber,chennai, ph: [protected], and i have e-recharged with rupees 22. its the plan to get benifit to 1p/sec for aitel mobiles, 1.2p/sec for all others mobiles.
                        i recharged to this service on 20th may,2011.

                          I have subscribed to airtel dishtv with HD connection, with south value pack (Connection No. [protected]). As mentioned in the south value pack over their portal, saakshi TV channel and TV5 channels are suppposed to be given along with other channels. but to our dismay, these two channels are not given. inspte of repeated mails also there is no response from their team, With much difficulty by holdin and waiting over phone for 35 minutes, we could able to speak to one of their executives, but that executive could not confirm for which package we have subcribed to. my point is why there is no response from them.

                          If they take additional amount for HD connection, no HD channel is provided as others do (free channels)

                          contrary to their own advertisement, presribed hannels are not given,

                          any body who wants to go for Airtel TV, pl do not go for it, it is abo[censored]e crap

                              After that customer care support is not lifting calls on 198 and 121 ..

                              If this problem persists than I will ask all my friends and relatives to discard use of all airtel number and services and opt for some other service provider like Vodafone and docomo.

                              my mobile n0 is [protected] i have two problems from airtel one my balance cuts automatically by one rupee many times without a call or sms being sent from my services and second one is balance cutting messages by 15 or 30 rupees from airtel wap[protected] and 64611015

                              Dear Sir, My Airtel Pre-Paid Mobile number [protected], I received one message from 64611050. the msg contian "Thanks for downloading Miscellaneous from Airtel Live WAP service. You've been charged Rs.50. time: 05.01.33pm date:[protected]."

                              I compliend it to the customer care at 05.04.59 pm. on the same day (just 3 min gap). they asking two days time to tell what happend. Today (20.01.09) they told that, i tried to download Nayan picture at 05.18 pm on 18/01/09. How it possible? Nobody give proper reply about it at Airtel-CustomerCare. We are wasting time with airtel people(customer care). At present they have good name in service, if they do samething in future they deffinatly loose customers fait.

                              The same problem with my husband's airtel prepaid(mobile no.[protected]). Messages (6-8) per day received and some times charges are deducted. Balance goes on reducing without making any calls or SMSs. complained 2-3 times on phone. but no response. The first time it was deducted, and when I had complained - the amount was reimbursed but afterwards not. Nowadays I am not opening the messages also.

Among all of these I found a customer (Age 70 Years) of Airtel on whose mobile Airtel Company has applied a record number of SIX VAS such as Facts 55382, Job Alerts, Airtel Call Manager, Karwa Chauth Pack, Kareena Kapoor, All Cricket Pack.
                              Airtel company has been deducting a huge amount from his credit balance every month mercilessly. ( For proof I have images of his screen)
                              *Suppose for example you or any of your friend/known have an Airtel mobile connection.
                              You can check it like this.
                              1. Send ' STOP' to 121
                              (HAVE YOU SENT)...OKAY
                              You will get back a message like this if their is a VAS on you mobile.
                              "The following services are active on your mobile. To reply type the serial number of the service that you wish to 'STOP' "
                              1...
                              2...
                              3...
                              4...
                              5...
                              6...& so on

                              You can know from above message that how many VAS are applied on your mobile by the company. If you want to STOP these services then follow the steps.
                              REPLY '1'
                              You will get one more message from the company to confirm again.
                              REPLY '1'
                              Follow these steps untill you get a message that.
                              " Kindly note there are no services active on your Airtel number."
                              *After this send one more message to activate DND like this
                              'START space 0 to 1909'
                              You will get a message to confirm
                              Reply 'YES'

                                Dear Nodal Officer / Concerned at customer care,

                                I had filed a cancellation request for my landline connection [protected] (Account No:[protected] on 15th May 2011 (Cancellation Request Number[protected]. According to the Customer Care Executive - they said my connection would be cancelled within 7 days. And I've got 3 retention calls from you department which I rejected as i still want to cancel my connection because we're being shifting to Agra in 2 days from now. The retention call department people approved and said that my connection would be cancelled within 7 days (from 15th may) as told before.

                                Today (22nd May 2011) I called Airtel CC, that why my connection hasnt got cancelled - the Executive (Mr Naved) said that my cancellation request is still under process and services would be discontinued soon & also he has raised my ticket to higher priority.
                                But when i called again (on 22nd May 2011 evening) the Executive said that my Cancellation Request has been taken off by me as I was offered some Rental Waiver for next month by Mr Prashant and I approved of it - which is EXTREMELY RUBBISH AND A LIE - as I simply said I dont want connection anymore and ended the call.. What is the fun of getting the connection for next month without rental when we are shifting this month. We're surprised by the talk from CC.

                                I DIDNT approved to continue my connection and I WANT DISCONNECTION OF MY SERVICES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. I wont be here after 2 days and dont want the services to be retained at all. As per initial communication it should have been stopped by today, and l am not responsible for any bills from tomorrow onwards.

                                With this kind of response from airtel I won't be recommending Airtel to anyone.

                                So with no response I tried calling CC again today and got to talk with Mr Harish. And instead continuing with my old request he gave me a new request number and said to wait again for 7 days now. Now what is this meant to be??? Will I have to submit cancellation request like 1000 times???

                                    Sir, I am using the prepaid sim of Airtel with number [protected]. few days back hello tune is activated on my number without my consent and rs. 30 is deducted towards service. but i did not accept the service. then why the amount is deducted..? as per TRAI rules and regulations you are not supposed to cut the amount without my consent. please look into this matter and remit my amount back to my number.
                                    I am a prepaid Mobile customer of Airtel and my Mobile No. is [protected]. Today I topped up with Rs.120 in the morning. Around 1:00 PM a SMS came. It informed me that Re.1 has been deducted from my balance for 'love SMS' for one day. I did not subscribe in any such pack. It happened earlier 2 times also. I stopped with stop SMS to 121 earllier. Why Airtel does it? Please refund my money. I hope, you improve your system in future so that customers are are not harassed or cheated .
                                    I want to deactivate caller tune from my airtle mobile # [protected], can you let me know the procedure

                                      i have across to the poorest DTH sercvices providers in my life i have two other different DTH services providers with the great response.
                                      i have installed my airtel a month and due to some construction problem i have got my TV reinstalled but due to some technical faults my airtel DTH is not working.
                                      on the day of first installation the engineer has not informed me any information regarding that in the future for any services and assistance i should call customer care number.
                                      from 21 may 2011 i has been calling engineer and i have not received any response. i am not a fool that i am wasting my sunday on this fooloish thing. if you dont want to provide any services please inform on first call. send engineer to dis-connect your AIRTEL DTH SERVICES, if i dont get your response till 23 may 2011 7:00 pm.

                                      IN FUTURE I WILL NOT RECOMMEND AIRTEL TO ANY PERSON IN MY LIFE.
                                      WHAT A POOR SERVICE.
                                      ATLEAST NOT ACCEPTED FROM AIRTEL.
                                      TATA SKY IS MUCH BETTER THAN AIRTEL.....

                                      airtel dth services — non installation and poor service

                                      i had purchased a dth connection from the authorised dealer of airtel; Om Sairam Electronics, Kondhwa, Pune. even after one week the customer service dept and the deler failed to install the connection. repeated remindes to their call centre has not yielded any positive outcome. basically there is an attitude problem and the staff of airtel dth at pune is most uncooperative. so prospective customers please beware of the false promises of airtel dth services.

                                      Airtel DTH — Failure to install DTH Connection

                                      We had subscibed for the Airtel DTH connection on Monday. It has been 4 days and no one has bothered to call us for the installation or has even taken the pains to tell us that there would be some delay.

                                      When we paid the subscription fees/ installation fees , we were promised that the installation would be done on that day itself. Till this time we have recieved no call from Airtel. I have been checking with my Dealer and he is also saying that Airtel people are not cooperating. I spoke with the CC center today, fortunately after 45 minutes of hold i was able to speak to a executive. I am told i am in a slot where my installation would happen in another 7 days, is this what we are expecting from Airtel which we have always looked as one of the best telecom companies of the world.

                                      Guys : It is in best interest to look at other DTH providers, otherwise we are going from the monoply of Cable Operators to the inefficiencies of Airtel DTH.

                                      i purchased dth box on 14th nov 2009 everything was looking good then suddenly airtel person comes to our house for the intallation procedure and tell us the fact that it cant be installed here due to some signal problem when we asked him for the solution he replied by saying that our money will be refunded within 2 days but that 2 days never came we also contacted 2, 3 airtel personals about our problem but they did not take any interest i know i m not goin to get my money back but remember airtel your customers are your future.

                                      Airtel DTH — failure to install dth connection

                                      Dear sir,

                                      I have purchased a samsung lcd on 04.11.2010, which offerd a connection of airtel dth with free installation . My customer id. [protected] & voucher recharged on 09.11.2010, & airtel cofirmed that they would install it within 24 hours.But till date(13.11.2010) there has been no communication from Airtel dth.

                                      I have been throughly miss communicated & feel cheated from this dht service provider. I request before this forum to help me getting my due free installation as quick as possible as my family members are really looking forward to view channels in the newly purchased lcd tv & airtel dth.
