I have been receiving call from Teleagents of Airtel, asking me pay the bill for mobile number - [protected].

To highlight, i do not own this number and dont even know the person who owns this. They are calling me up almost everyday and asking me to clear the bill as i am the secondary contact person for this number.

It seems someone has given this number intentionally as only the last digit of the mobile number is different from mine. The agents are talking rudely and using abusive language to threaten me.

I have raised this complaint with Airtel several times and they assured to take care of this, but seems they are not capable of handling this.

I want to know that why i am being harrassed if someone whom i dont know has given a random number as a backup contact.

I am really disgusted with this behaviour and feeling like taking them to higher court.

    This is with respect to bill payment of Airtel no. [protected] I have already told to stop the service on this number then also I am getting the bills ever month. I had purchased the modem on 25th April and started using it from 27th April still I have got 1st bill of Rs147.19/- form period 8thApril to 7th May since then I have told to stop this service but your customer care was not ready to take payment of Rs.147.19/- an stop the service. I was been told by marketing people that there are no monthly charges on this if I don't use the number and have stopped using this number since 4th of june,2013 still have got bill of Rs.573.59/- for period of 8th May to 7th June I had purchased this modem from MR. Kayor Mobile no. [protected] and marketing guy having mobile no.-[protected] & [protected] he told me that I can use any network sim card in that modem but since I purchased it from 2nd day itself I called him 'N' number of times to take his modem back as I cannot use any network sim in that but he don't reply to calls since I have told him so also even I don't have warranty card of my modem as I told the person who came to deliver modem at my office to get it signed of warranty but he never returned back. I called Mr. Kayor also but he also didn't received his call after 1st time I told him to send me warranty card. I have got two bills from aiterl having bill number[protected] & 72749334 and a notice saying that I have to pay bill of Rs. 1262.57/- now I don't understand that if I don't have to play monthly rental charges how the billamount is increasing as have not used that number since june. Please reply Ihave got call from airtel to pay bills and have told my problem to all the executives who called me still no action was taken against it. Modem says its providing 3G service but I cannot use it at Ambarnath. Have also done complaint on airtel 121 having reverence no. PO[protected] & PO[protected] but no action was taken does is it like that airel only wants money from customers without providing service. Kindly revert on this matter ASAP. Then i payed the bill for my two month uasge on condition that there will be no bill remaining and all dues will be cleared but i got the mail still telling that Rs.689.57 is still pending. I had already requested for the disconnection but it was not disconnected. so why should I pay the charges of next month. Similarly I have paid the bill on 19 Th August, 2013 but it was taken in your account on 31 st august is it my mistake that your records are not updated instantaneously. As I had told to disconnect my connection to your customer care executive and has not gone to gallery I don't have the reference number of my request as they don't provide it they just say '' madam your complain has been fowrded and you will get call from our higher authority'' who never calls. I have already paid for my usage but should i am supposed to pay for airtel negligence. And tell me that are you people going to add fine on this amount also because by this time I know that airtel only know to take money and cheat your customers without providing them services. Inspite of writing mails to airtel for my complaints without any concern from there side i got harrasment call from [protected] stating that he is calling from deilh sessional court stating that we are filing the case agains you

      dear sir/madam i feel with airtel money only (mobile recharge,and other recharge..DTH etc) good. but i feel un comportale movie ticket booking airtel money and cash load online debit card not processing any way. i request customer care but they are not clear my nproblem maximum six or seven times i reauested in airtel money customer care. why my problem not clear, what reason they told unsatisfied reason. i am not satisfy airtel money. 1. solve my problem thank you

          This post is on my recent experience with Airtel customer service when I requested for porting my mobile number to Airtel.

          I have a postpaid CUG connection from Tata Docomo (it was originally Airtel, but was ported to Docomo 6 months back). I had requested to port my number to Airtel Postpaid CUG and I came across another poor customer service experience in the process of requesting the MNP. The customer care team of Airtel is just too lazy and careless, who do not care even if they lose customers and never try to solve the issues, rather they try to avoid issues and give stupid excuses. Here is what happened since I gave the porting request on 6th September.

          1. On 6th September 2013, I submitted my porting request form with the necessary supporting documents to the Airtel agents sitting in our IBM corporate campus in EGL campus, Bangalore. After 3-4 days, I followed up with the agent asking my status. I got to know that my form was rejected because they had some issue with initiating porting of my number in their database. The issue was that my number was originally Airtel and was ported to Docomo about 6 months back, so the number was somehow blocked in Airtel database. That looked like a technical issue that the Airtel back-end team should be able to resolve. However instead of resolving the issue, they returned my application and asked me to contact a retail outlet outside the corporate office. That was first FAILURE of customer service from Airtel.

          2. I agreed to the suggestion from the Airtel agent and went to an Airtel Relationship Center in Indiranagar, Bangalore. There I came to know that I can not convert my current Docomo CUG directly to Airtel CUG (don't know if that is really true, but I was told this). So I had to apply for a normal postpaid plan for porting. I submitted a new form with the required documents. I also paid my current unbilled amount in advance. After 3-4 days, upon not seeing any status in mnpindia.in website I called up the ARC agent to check the status. Then I came to know that they were having some issue with my number and they were unable to initiate my porting request. I was advised to call up 121 customer care. I called up the customer care but didn't get any help. Rather I was told to write to [protected]@in.airtel.com. SECOND FAILURE.

          3. I wrote to 121 customer care on 14th September 2013 with all the issue details. I got a reply the very next day asking for some details regarding the porting request like UPC code, ARC address etc. I provided all details hoping a positive action from customer care. However to my disappointment again, no action was taken from Airtel, rather I was just asked to wait for 7 working days after the application . I replied back on that indicating I was writing to them because the ARC was unable to initiate the porting request and they need some help. However, I got the same response... wait for 7 days. THIRD FAILURE.

          4. After waiting for 7 days, I wrote back on 20th September asking for any status. I got a response that they were not able to find any history for my number and I need to contact the ARC.

          So at the end, I am back to square one. The same cycle repeats itself. No action from anyone, only waste of time. I don't understand that even a private organization like Airtel who is such a big brand by itself has this pathetic customer service, what should I expect from the government organizations. This is pity that Airtel is not even prompt enough to take any action even to get a new customer.

          As of 22nd September 2013 - No status change, I am still with the old service provider.

          Hi Team, Any update in this issue? It has been over a week and I have not heard back anything on this yet.
          What is the point of having "Airtel Presence"? It was of no help in my case. They just called me up, I explained the issue again to them and that's it.. nothing happened.. no action at all... really useless and pathetic service...

            Hi, I had airtel broadband connection number "[protected]", in noida. This connection was not working properly from so many days, so i put a complaint with reference no. "31088152" dated "06/Aprl/2013". But as airtel technical executives couldn't fix this issue, so i put another disconnection request on 08/Apr/2013 at 23:24 PM { The reference number for this request is "31164138" }. But even calling multiple times they didn't inform me about my final bill amount & kept charging for subsequent months. I was very much harassed which you can see from below attached mails. Then after so many months, i received a call from airtel executtive to pay Rs478/- to get my connection disconnected, and committed me to pay NOC after 2 days. I paid the amount and then executive didn't picked any of my call. I also called customer care and sent mails as well. But they didn't respond for more than 2 months. Now again they are saying that my connection is still active and again started calling and harassing me. I hope this forum will help me out from this mess.                 dear sir/madam i am taken the airtel new connection very happily but i losten my card i am going to take duplicate sim card but the pavan communications koratagere taluk tumkur dist above adressed distributor asking the photo along with my identity card but i am asking i will gave u a adress proof of that num why ur asking me a photo its not neccesary but he argue with me i am sadly written u a mail kindly help me

                  Kindly note even TRAI is not helping people from these fraud operations of Airtel. Hello, kindly do as you say .I have contacted your call center and was replied that you are refunded with 65 Rs. for which you complained and latest up date is that I am not being refunded. I contacted Airtel call center after I received following message. Today again on[protected] at 12:02 PM, I called and now was replied that there is no refund policy.                     I have a post paid connection bearing No [protected] of Airtel. Now I want to convert this post paid connection to prepaid. In this connection I applied and file a application for change of my plan of Airtel from post paid to prepaid through Airtel Lajpat Nagar Kanpur office on[protected] along with full formalities and deposit Rs.200/-fee for this and also clear the dues of of my post paid bill. But sorry to inform you that Airtel office has not changed my above mobile connection plan from post paid to prepaid.                           I have been dealing with this case with airtel since last 1-2 months without any delay in bill payment. I subscribed to 8 mbps connection but didn't get speed more than 3-4 mbps. Later airtel tech team told me that 8 mbps is not feasible so they asked me to move to 4 mbs connection. I did but still the slow browsing speed problem persisting and on top of that frequent disconnections happening. I really want to know what kind of service level gaurantee do these guys have to consumers. These telecom guys very prompt to levy fine if you delay the payments by a day but whne you are not getting the commited speed for more than 50% of your billed cycle then what should be the penalty?

                            With lot of regret I have to bring to your notice that I placed the request of conversion of My prepaid phone no. [protected] to postpaid under the corporate plan of FIS through the agent who sits in FIS Mr. Rajesh. It¿s been more than 3 weeks now I have been calling him to know the status daily Most of the times he is not picking up my call or hearing my voice he disconnected and has always given me lame excuse that I have forwarded the documents. Then he gave me the no. of his Boss Mr. Chetan from back office. I have been calling from last one week. , No progress and he is also saying that I am waiting approval. And now The worst thing has happened with me and that is the agents have stopped my prepaid no. and also not started my postpaid no. It¿s been 3 days now and Currently I am without phone. I have been using cell phone from more than 10 years now but this is the most horrible experience that I ever had from any service provider. Its been 5 days now and now I got to know that they have blocked my Prepaid SIM.and have not started by Postpaid SIM.I am very frustated .

                              Hi,
                              I raised a request to disconnect my airtel Broadband connection since for every 3 to 4 months they are increasing the prices as 100/- every time.After arose a request i took another network datacard. But they asked to retain the connection with first montly rental plan itself. Even myself also dont want to disconnect airtel broadband. But they are increasing the prices making burdon to me. But i already took another connection for 3 months cost. So i asked i can&#039;t pay bill for 3 months, since already i have another network. so they said there is another option for 3 months free waiver with 2GB limited data. But i said i can&#039;t pay bill for 3 months. so they accepted for that. Last month i got a bill saying 568/- need to pay. By raising a complaint they waived it and asked me to send a mail to waive the bill every month, since there is a system problem to auto waive. So this month i got a bill of amount 448/-. So i send a mail a week before. But still the amount does not waived. Please check this and let me know how can i proceed.                                 I am using this Airtel mobile postpaid connection from last 6 years but suddenly they have stop sending alert msgs about data usage. Since I keep a Tab on my Usage by sending SMS to 121 i noticed that my usage was about 90% so I went to my airtel App on my smart phone and opt for smart bytes and hit activate. now they didnot activate the services and charged for data usage. My question here is when there application has some problem why shud i pay for it.When I spoke to there customer service agent he was not at all helpful and said you have to pay for it. Untill Unless i have verified the status they havn't filed my CAP till 18th August 2013. Later they said that they are going to refund my amount after raising couple of escalations at airtel office in MYLAPORE at chennai. Still now they Havn't refunded my amount.                                   I bought broadband connection from Airtel website by paying 1000 INR. Later on, guys from airtel said that due to technical difficulties, they cannot install it at my home and they will refund the money.
                                  But I have still not received the refund. I applied for connection on 17th Feb. Its 18th march now. It doesn&#039;t take so many days to refund the amount. It&#039;s been a month now.

I have bought a 4g data card connection from an airtel person named Sunil Pandey (Cell No. [protected]) on Saturday 14th September 2013 in Chandigarh. He gave me dongle and a sim card and took 1500 rupees. He said just call airtel to activate your number and it will get activated today only, when i called airtel they told me that no information has been provided to them, so they can not activate my 4g number. Is this a fraud??? What is going on??? Its 18th September and still no activation. I am calling Sunil Pandey and he is telling me daily that it will be activated in 10 mins...., it will be activated in next four hours..... this is going on from last 5 days???                                       Hi, I have a postpaid airtel connection and my number is [protected] with 1 GB free data. I received the bill last week and could notice that the bill amount to be huge(RS 1545).i checked the bill and could see that the 2G data used was 1800 MB which was wrong as I am currently measuring my data in mobile and it shows that i have used only 750 MB. I contacted the customer care and they are saying that they have send a message once my limit has reached but i did not get any message from airtel for the same. I have been using airtel for the past 6 months and haven¿t faced any issue like this but this is one is annoying and highly disappointed with Airtel.

                                      NEED SERIOUS HELP HERE!!! I have bought a 4g data card connection from an airtel person named Sunil Pandey (Cell No. [protected]) on Saturday 14th September 2013 in Chandigarh. He gave me dongle and a sim card and took 1500 rupees. He said just call airtel to activate your number and it will get activated today only, when i called airtel they told me that no information has been provided to them, so they can not activate my 4g number. Is this a fraud??? What is going on??? Its 18th September and still no activation. I am calling Sunil Pandey and he is telling me daily that it will be activated in 10 mins..., it will be activated in next four hours... this is going on from last 5 days??? Please help Airtel people if you can.

                                      i still haven't got any resolution from airtel. I got a call from Anitha from the number [protected] and she does not know how to even to talk to the customer.She just called to me say that nothing can be done and she just hung up.

                                      I am seriuosly fed up with Airtel. I had a great reputation for the company but with this kind of fraud i am greatly disappointed.

                                      I am planning to disconnect the service after this month and also would like to write to the concern to take necessary action.

                                        i had recharged with 999 superlifetime card on dec 01,2007. now instead of the promise of Re 1/- i m being charged Rs 2.25/-.i had contacted customer service hundreds of time but there is no response and no clarification received till date. if further i don't receive any clarification i will be compelled to go to consumer court. Is this the way the customers are satisfied!!

                                        I have not subscribed to any airtel text based wap services but an amount RS.20 every week is deducted from my balance from mid of march.I had already informed the concerned customer care.I request you to kindly look into the matter and STOP the deducti0n.
