My name is Manjulika. I have been using Airtel Broadband connection. Acc no: [protected], Airtel billing cycle is from 26th to 25th As per my plan, I get 9 GB of high speed internet at 2 mbps and after 9 GB usage the speed reduces to 256 kbps. On 29 Aug 2013, I got an alert stating that I have utilized 80% of my data usage limit. I was shocked as I knew that I couldn't have used around 7.2 GB in 3 days, as my billing cycle starts from 26th of the month. I never use internet for heavy downloads or torrents. In my previous billing cycle too I have never touched data usage of 80% within 3 days of start of new cycle. This is absolutely unusual and incorrect data seems to be reflecting in my account. Clearly, Airtel is showing way more than what I have used. I expect a quick resolution to this problem.

    Respected sir I have complained in airtel presence regarding my 3g network disconnection after 20-25 mins. There is no assistance by them from last 20 working days.       Hello sir, This is Raja siva kumar from visakhapatnam. my mobile no. is [protected] and its service provider is UNINOR. today i,e., 31st august 2013 at 10:57a.m. I got a call from [protected] i,e., senior executive of begumpet airtel customer care office named SOPHIA, what she had talked to me is blunder(i am using uninor she is asking me to pay airtel bill, that too in a rash manner). even a customer care executive will talk better than her. if airtel continues to appoint these type of people as a senior executive no one use airtel. please take necessary action on her, or else i will file a case in consumer court on airtel.

        After 4 months of follow up my concern has still not been resolved by Airtel. There is no response from the regular number and also from the escalation team. They seem to be happy opening new tickets and closing them to show their good resolution rate. I am completely frustrated by the sad service from Airtel and need some resolution at the earliest. problem#1 is still on Problem#1: IPTV- I had someone visit my house on the weekend and told me that this plan(1199) does not have the 41 channels as promised on mail(1st mail attached). As per him he is not aware why I was promised and I need to talk to someone in the customer service. I fail to understand why after 2 months and change of a plan I am still not being able to get the channels that I have requested on time shift IProblem#2: Two accounts for same number- To my horror, I am getting two bills for the same number. When I have already paid the Rs 134 that was showing due on my Airtel account with my number I have a paper bill which says I have not made a payment since two months. I called up customer Service however it looks like that the outsourced people in the call center have no information and they are brave enough to just tell whatever they feel like. Hitesh told me to ignore the Rs2200/- bill and pay the bill showing as 1380 only(2nd attachment).           I have entered the details of the complaint yesterday in this column and submitted, I am surprised it is not posted till today. The complain details are complain # [protected] dated 14th August on BB not working. Repeated follow ups, complaints no sign of resolution.

          My home broadband connection[protected] DSL started giving some problem and I lodged a complaint through Airtel customer support on 14th August 2013 and my complaint # 37116688 dated 14th August was registered and ack. by Airtel. There was a immediate response and the technician visted and checked our WiFi router and confirmed that there is some cable/port problem at the Airtel server end and it will be corrected within 24 hrs. After a day another person - Modem technician visited and checked the connections and he had removed my internal telephone parallel connections suspecting that as a issue, but even after connecting directly to the mail incoming Airtel line to the modem the problem persisted and he said he will check the cable/port at Airtel end and will get resolved, As there was no response from Airtel, I again lodged a fresh compliant 37312022 on 19th August, no response except when ever I called there was a prompt assurance that the cable work will be completed in a day and the connections will be resolved by same day evening, as there was no response again I had made another complaint on 27th August 37692734 & 37795384 on 29th August. I had also spoken to Customer service supervisors, managers and all promptly confirmed the cable problems and assured same day resolutions. Meanwhile the status messages stopped coming and it has become a routine for me to do a follow up call every day twice, one in the morning and one in the evening follwoed by a service request on Airtel site pertaining this #. On 29th I also raised a complaint in Airtel site for which I have received a reference # as LB[protected]. The response is so poor and no one is able to tell me when exactly the line will be rectified? No status, repeated assurance, and also the internal wiring which was removed Airtel service technicians on 16th has resulted my parallel phones are also not working. I have lost hopes with Airtel and hence putting up this in the Consumer Complaints forum for expediting actions.

          No resolution till date. The original complaint # is 37116688 dated 14th August 2013 for not working properly, today is the 20th day this problem is exisiting.Santhosh Kumar
          The complaint dated 14th August was resolved on 5th evening after 22 days, but the happiness did not even last for 48hrs as the same issue started from 7th September 13'. The fresh complaint has been registered on 8th Morning and the reference number is 38277742 and 38284816 dated 8th September, I hope this will be resolved immediately unlike last time.
          I regret to inform that the Broadband issues which is persistant since 14th August is still not resolved, only last 5th September it was temprorily resolved but the problem started again from 8th evening for which I had raised fres service requests, I have been regiularly chasing Airtel customer service since 9th and till date which is almost a month now is not getting addressed. The latest complaint number is[protected].

              I am using Airtel fixed line service for our company and there was a 25 days disconnection for this phone. Since there was no least tariff for this service i continued with the minimum amount which was 599 + tax + .... (650 pm) I ordered for a disconnection of this service and the retention department convinced me to give a 499 rupees plan and now all of the sudden just in a day time now they are sending a mail saying my tariff is revised to 799, How this can be a customer service when they are not taking any concern in service and just increase the tariff ? Please help

                This is Ravi Kumar Sharma, a business owner from Meerut (UP)-India. I got a new number [protected] activated from Airtel to get some support in my business. I took their plan called Solitare fixed billing Rs. 1590 plus taxes per month in which i was told that i would be getting 10000 calls per month, unlimited messages, national roaming and 8 GB internet.

                First month, i received their bill on a prorata basis and i was asked to pay Rs. 1000 which i paid at their collection counter in cash.

                The next month (August, 2013), we started receiving calls from Airtel that the bill is due. My father attended two calls from Airtel office on August 11, 2013 and August 12, 2013 that the bill is for more than Rs. 4000. He was a cardiac patient and he died after that call dated August 12, 2013. No one knows now how the executive spoke to my father.

                Now that i am free from all the death ceremonies, i feel highly irritated and furious about the following:

                The wrong commitments made by the marketing staff regarding the fixed rental.
                I had clearly asked the marketing personal as to what will happen if i exceed the 8 GB or the 10000 call limit. I received the reply that my services would be stopped. Now they say that you went over the 8 GB limit that's why the bill is over Rs. 4000. Two questions :

                I just used around 100 calls for the month. What happens to the rest of the calls. Also, If i exceeded the 8 GB limit for my internet, THEY SHOULD HAVE INTERRUPTED MY INTERNET...

                I am sorry to say that i feel cheated.

                The number is disconnected since August 12, 2013.

                  We are having an Account No.15353488, fixed line No.[protected], Our Airtel Broadband connection including phone line is not working since Aug 27, 2013 and not yet receive any update on what exactly is actual feedback. Customer support not able to provide us the proper feedback but just a number of Engineer and try to connect with Senior Person which he was not able to, they don't have any update about our complaint. Engineer told me that internal wires need to be change which comes thru pillar but we don't have permission yet from our seniors. This is office internet line and it becomes really difficult now to work without internet and a phone line. So it is requested to keep this matter on priority and resolve this issue.

                    i was useing prepaid connection from long time, i got a call from airtel for 275 offer, i asked them how much will be ISD rate from postpaid he said it will be 4.50/- per min. then i have taken postpaid, after a week i came to know they are charging 11/- par min. immediately i called 198/121, i visited aitel office, finaly i send mail to nodel team.til 3 month there is no respond from airtel. finaly i paid due amount today. also i paid late payment fee. dont't trust

                        Hi Team, This is my 5th email asking you to solve my bill dispute. I called up each and every agent at appellate desk but still haven't received any resolution. My 1st email was sent on 30th of July 2013 till then the same issue is carried on till date. My problem was that I haven't received a single DATA Alert regarding my Internet Usage for the month of July 2013. Finally I called up 121 on 29th July 2013 and asked the process to check my Internet Usage for which the agent asked me to send a message. DATA USE to 121. By sending this message I got - " Namaste - Due to Technical concern we are unable to give you required information ". I tried it this for 3-4 days. Right now I spoke to Ms.Preity of Appellate Desk. Interaction ID - F[protected]. She asked for the screenshot of the message error message received from 121 when tried to get the Data usage. I have attached the screenshot with this email. She also assured me that if this issue is taking long time I won't be charged late fee for the billed amount. Can you please do it asap. Please check the screenshot. I hope this will help to prove my truth. Thanks Arun [protected]

                        Airtel gave me Rs.761/- discount which is not acceptable. My dispute is for Rs.1800/- how come I can manage with 761/- The whole amount should be waived off and you can charge me for the data pack of Rs.125/- which has 1GB and I have used only 335MB.

                            If some one from Airtel is still reading this forum, in short YOU GUYS SUCK. Airtel stopped giving proper service from last 1 year. That's what I noticed at least in 6 years relation with Airtel. I have raised 3 complaints in the last 1 month for the same problem and all the time I get call saying its rectified and the problem starts again in 1 day. I am fed up calling Customer Care and raising complaint. But this has reached to extreme from last 3 days. So I thought of monitoring the Connection status from Modem Admin page. The data can be seen in the excel sheet here http://sdrv.ms/1dQNPfK. When I monitored from 9PM to 2AM today, I see many disconnections, on average at least 5 to 10mins disconnection per 30mins. I raised a complaint again today[protected] regarding the same issue. But this time I have decided that this will be my last complaint. If I face problem again after this, either I will not be paying the bill or need written statement that Airtel can not provide good service and then I will disconnect my connection. The only reason I stay with Airtel is because my Company's VPN works good with Airtel. But now I have to find some other alternative.

                              I have migrated my number [protected] into postpaid on 30st July,2013. As per airtel website, info from executive Mr. Ram (Hadapsar ARC/ Shree Communication) as well as activation team. Monthly rental: 249 A2A. : 10ps/Min A2M. : 30ps/Min A2LL : 60ps/Min STD : 60ps/Min SMS: Local: 30ps/SMS STD: 60ps/SMS Free Calls: 1000 mins Free SMS: 249 Data: 500MB But after activation, I observed my calling rates are as below Revised Plan as below: A2A. :30ps/Min A2M :40ps/ Min A2LL :1.5Rs/Min STD :60ps/Min Free Calls: 1000 Mins Free Sms: 249 I already escalated to nodal officer, appellate, but they are unable to activate the plan what i purchased. They activated plan as per their convenience, I never purchased this plan they forced to pay higher calling charges. I can't pay extra money every minute. I would like to continue with airtel postpaid service, if you they offer me explained plan by the executive as well as activation team and what I purchased. Kindly do needful. Warm Regards, Amol Mane

                                  Sir , I had ported my cell no [protected] from BSNL prepaid to Airtel Postpaid connection 4 months ago. the connection was taken under Teacher plan on Rs. 99/- per month rental . I used this phone only for incoming and i rarely used it for outgoing and i never use internet on this but my bill amount of first month was approx. Rs. 400/- . I did not pay the bill till 24/8/2013. My phone was disconnected from last 3 months . I want to port this again in BSNL due to hidden bill of airtel. I received so many calls from their office to pay the bill and bill amount becames Rs. 1450/- . I received a call ( [protected]) from mohali Airtel office on 24/8/2013 regarding bill and he was agree to Reduce my bill Amount to Rs. 800/- and committed to convert this connection to prepaid till 26/8/2013. So as per commitment i paid Rs. 800/- in Bathinda Mall road office tran id[protected] on dated 24/8/2013 at 6:30pm. But till now my connection did not continue and the person who committed me from mohali office do not recieve my call form 26/8/2013. kindly solve my problem and connect my phone service and convert it into prepaid as per commitment. thanks

                                  “We have been unable to reach you for tele verification of your Airtel Mobile number. Your first outgoing call will reach our tele verification helpdesk. (Msg1of2). (Msg2of2) Kindly extend your support & confirm your name & address to our executive to enjoy continued service.”

                                  After the above SMS’s my incoming and out going calls were barred and when I tried to make outgoing call, it went to verification department. I explained my situation to the Airtel support person and his TL, but got the reply from both the persons to go to dealer shop and Airtel office as they are not responsible for any thing like this and their job is to talk to customer and nothing else. Then I went the above dealer shop and told him my problem, he said he is not responsible for that and his dealership person has to come and look at this and I was asked to go to Airtel office. I was frustrated with the discussion I had with Ambresh, Vinayak, Arjun (TL) – Request number: [protected] and many peoples (Not sure the name of the persons) till today.

                                  After that I had requested the dealer to talk to customer care and explain my problem but the response from customer care was “go to nearest AirTel office and resubmit my documents once again” and then I went to the AirTel office which is near to “ JAIDEVA Hospital , BTM layout Bangalore .

                                  I had spend more time there and explained my problem but the result was same as previous they said they are not having authority to any thing and they just dialed hotline and gave it to me. Again same reply, resubmit your documents we will activate your number with in 48 hours and I have submitted the copy of my driving license, company id card and 1 photo copy along with filled application forms.

                                  After 2 submissions (Application serial no: 9622785 on[protected] also, I have received the same response that ‘go to nearest AIRTEL store as the number is belong to some other girl”.

                                  1. How come AIRTEL sold the same number to 2 persons?
                                  2. Since this is prepaid I have valid talk time on my card, how come they barred both the incoming and out going calls without prior intimation to customer?
                                  3. What was the purpose of the first name/address verification call handled with in 24 hours of sim card activation?
                                  4. As per the latest communication, they said they can’t change the ownership name from that girl to me, in that cause what is the status of the talk time balance available on my sim?
                                  5. Why this verification has taken 24 days of after sim activation?
                                  6. Why the same verification has not taken while the customers recharging their mobiles?
                                  7. Name/address miss match in AIRTEL database is whose fault? Since none of the customers are not entering the customer details in to their database, customer’s job is to fill the application. If application details are correct and not correct in their database means whose mistake? Will they agree that that is their mistakes? They always tell that the details filled in the application were wrong and resubmit the documents once again.

                                  On 23rd Feb 2010, I went to RAJSHREE TELECOM shop because that day (22nd Feb 2010 - y’day )the shop person told me that one of his dealer consultant’s will come to shop for this problem. It was advised by him that, the same number has been sold to 2 persons and they want my sim card to be return into AirTel office and I need to again resubmit my all documents for getting a new number as they can’t do anything for this number and also they are not responsible for the remaining amounts present in this card.

                                  If required, I will submit all my proofs as I still keeping all the SMS messages in my mobile for proof.

                                  On conclusion, the situation has been very badly handled by Airtel and they are not ready to accept the mistake.It’s great shameful that how AirTel is cheating the customers.

                                  My self Parag Pathari.i buyed a airtel no([protected]) 4-5 years before with life time warranty.since last year i have facing lot of problem form airtel like automatic activating any services.i registered to many complaints to airtel via customer care.but issue wasn't solved so i buyed a other sim card of tata docomo...i am using my airtel no only for incoming calls & receiving messages..but due to mobile mal functioning my mobile my airtel card was switched off for 1 month.then i contact to airtel they told me submit documents again..i submitted all the documents but no. wasn't start.yesterday i again call airtel customer care & they told me this no. is registered to another user.

                                  I want my old no. back but they denied.they said with the rules of TRAI if any no .is switched off for 1 month we recycled it & give it to another users.Please take necessary action as soon as possible.I already forward a complaint mail to TRAI but not yet any replay from them

                                  I have raised an network issue 60 days before with airtel, Still my issue is not solved and network team working on it said by customer care. If I am not getting any services then why should I pay the bill.

                                  have long mail chain for the same, I think if my issue is not resolved as well as my bill amount is not write off then I will raise an complaint with TRAI.

                                    I had a 299 corporate Airtel plan,which had 300 local and national messages free.I Requested for an additional message pack worth 50 Rs in which i would get daily 50 messages,the customer care executive assured that the message pack will activate automatically in 4 hrs.On his assurance i continued using messages.But after several days when i logged in to my login account i was billed around 1350.When i checked i was being charged for the messages.After requested complaints i didn't get any help, no message pack was activated on my number and till now i am being charged for the messages.What should i do about this

                                      I have airtel num [protected] . I got the connection transfered to my husband's name. Initially the airtel account num was [protected] which changed to different account num - [protected] without informing me during the connection's name change. I kept getting bills that I have to pay -243 as the airtel bill for july 2013.So I did not pay it . After a few days I got a call that I need to pay Rs 503 to airtel .As I was confused ,I did not want the connection to get cut .I paid Rs 530 to airtel account [protected] .I was able to login to airtel.in and see that I have -773 in my airtel account . Once I understood the confusion was because new account number got created..I have repeatedly called airtel to resolve the issue and transfer my money from old account to new account number. This has not been done yet and they have been closing my requests saying they do not have proof of the payments made to the old airtel account -[protected] .I have sent my citibank statement snapshots regarding the same. I need my money back from airtel and the issue to be resolved quickly .
