Our broadband & phone connection (Account No. [protected]) have not been working since 25th September 2012 till today (13th October 2012) and maybe it wont work at all ( Until we file a case with consumer court).
The customer service is a joke, they talk sweetly and assure you that the issue will be resolved and throw our complaint into trash and forget about it.
When you try to follow up, they say they will "escalate" (joke again) and then forget about it.
We have been to their "main" office on Bannerghatta Road where things are even more pathetic, we saw customers breaking their computers out of frustration. In main office, you can find ignorant staff, who just don't care. If you shout at them, then they will try to respond but only start to give reasons like: "We don't have forms, come again", "I don't have login details to access your details", "The service person is on leave", "This issue is already escalated (so, we don't care)" etc.
We are a small software startup , who got conned by Airtel's Broadband offers and took connection. Our services have gone haywire due to constant issues with Airtel Broadband and Phone.
NEVER GO FOR AIRTEL BROADBAND/ LANDLINE if you wish to use internet to come up in life.
Its Better with BSNL, even if they don't talk "sweetly", they feel responsible and fix things unlike Airtel Personnel - (Who just don't care) and keep blaming among themselves that it was his or her responsibility.
airtel dth services — Set top box not delivered & installed
Dear Sir/ madamI had purchased an new Airtel DTH service for my home on 3rd of May 2009. I had been instructed to follow IVR instructions on their helpline and make the payment of Rs. 1800 through my credit card. I did so and made the payment of Rs. 1800. they gave me a transaction Id (transaction Id # 8595163), later they called and confirmed my address also. Today 4 days have passed I have not received any calls or communication from them. Neither has the connection been installed. I have made a number of calls to the customer care, but no favorable reply was received. they would put me on hold and then later disconnect the call. Kindly advise and help with the problem.
