Hi,
I am Mahesh Nadar, working for Reliance Industries Ltd since september 2007. My mobile number is [protected].
My SIM card got de-activated without any prior intimation on 9th Dec 2009.
When I had called customer care on 121, I got a reply saying that my address proof is missing and my SIM will be activated within 4 hours of submitting the same. Were you people sleeping for two tears.???Why should i suffer for the mistakes of airtel.correct me if I am wrong,According to me,phone bills are considered as a address proof.I am getting my airtel bills on this address for two years and now suddenly my services are barred.Airtel is supposed to solve this problem by themselves. On the contrary they are playing hide and seek with me.
The customer care executive had given me address of Khopoli Airtel gallery for the purpose. When I reached there, i found no such Airtel gallery existing there. Second time I was directed to go to Bhiwandi, there the shopkeeper told me he had stopped his shop as an Airtel gallery since last 6 months.
Now, I had submitted my address proof at Pune finally on 16th DEC. When I had called 121 as my SIM is not activated yet, the person named Sudarshan now requested me to go there again and submit a 'Subscriber Enrolment form'.
My phone has been active since sept 2007. I had been paying bills directed at this address since then. I want to know, could you people, who send me n number of promotional SMS to activate Hello tunes etc have not sent me an SMS to submit address proof???????
Now, please guide me regarding the exact procedure to get my SIM restarted (If it really will or no) and time required for the same.
Kindly inform me regarding further procedure ASAP.
Thanks and Regards,
Mahesh

Complaint marked as Resolved
I have been a customer of Airtel Broadband services for the last few years.
At the time of taking this connection, it was clearly mentioned that the modem was the property of Airtel, and would be replaced by Airtel, in case of any problems with the same.
I have been facing connectivity issues for the last few weeks, wherein the technician has tried all options but was unable to solve the issue. I have also replaced the cable from my house to the junction box, at my own cost.
Now, the technician says that the problem is with the modem, and I will need to purchase a new modem at my own cost, as the Company does not replace modems.
I have written to the Nodal office, who says that the Policy has changed and Airtel does not replace modems. (Email pasted below)
This is strange and very unprofessional, as I have not been intimated about any change in Policy, till date. It's only now that the modem is faulty, that Airtel calims that they don't have a Policy of replacement.
I suppose that Airtel now does not need to fulfill the promises they made to customers, when they were establishing themselves as Broadband service providers, having a good presence in Mumbai now.
The reply also mentions that the Policy changes from July 22, 2012 and yet they will not replace the modem!!
So much for Customer experience!!
Thanks,
Jeffrey deSouza
