Airtel changed plan without intimation.
My Plan was UPE -250 Speed DSL Plan and without my intimation was changed to 'Airtel - Special DSL Combo @ 1p/1.2p /sec UL (2 Mbps/256 Kbps) Plan'.
When i go the knowledge of this called up customer care and was told that we are reverting back as its not into effect.
That month(june) was fine but later it wad changed to 'UPE -699 Special 699 DSL Combo @ 1p/1.2p /sec UL (2 Mbps/256 Kbps) DSL Plan' -July and the to 'Airtel - Special DSL Combo @ 1p/1.2p /sec UL (2 Mbps/256 Kbps) Plan' without any intimation.
This connecting is used by my father and he doesn't has that much usage because of which we took this plan.
If its not reverted back to original plan 'UPE -250 Speed DSL Plan' then we would like to disconnect the connection.
Have called up customer care several times and so many complaints raised :LB[protected],11857662 but no use.

      I have taken up this new broadband connection on 26th July 2012.
      Its only been just two months. My Modem (450BXI) is not working since 6th Oct 2012. I complaint on 7th Morning (9.12 am) to 121 customer care (Complaint no.[protected] about the same and I was told since my connection is new so my Modem is under Warrranty. At 11.45am somebody ([protected]) called on my Mobile from Airtel and told me that I will not get a free replacement for my Modem as It was not purchased from Airtel.
      For your information I purchased this Modem from the same person who came to my house form fillup for new connection. I paid him the money and he handed over the Modem to me. I have a document to prove this. This persons Name is Rahul (Mobile : [protected]). Since he came from Airtel, he did all my paperwork, he handed over the modem , so my understanding is I purchased the Modem from Airtel.
      Again at 2pm on 7th Oct I complaint at 121 Customer care about this issue. I was again assured I was under warranty period, so my Modem will be replaced.
      At 2.07 pm same person ([protected]) called on my Mobile (who called in morning) from Airtel and told me that I will not get a free replacement for my Modem as It was not purchased from Airtel.
      This is Just rediculous. I called up again at 121 Customer care in Evening and I was again reassured for next day visit and get this problem resolved. On 8th Oct a person called Rahul called on my Mobile ([protected]) and informed me that somebody will come and check the problem and get this problem resolved. A person came in afternoon and told the same old story that the Modem I have been using is an old Model and cannot be replaced. I showed him the documents to prove that I bought it from Airtel two months back. He then called that person who sold this modem to me Rahul (Mobile : [protected])and confronted him knowing the fact this model is no more in use, why did you sell it to the customer. I do not know what answer the other guy gave. This person told me he will come later and resolve the Problem.
      Today Morning when I called up Customer Care – I came to know your records says, problem resolved.
      THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL. My problem is still there and how can you close your chapter by just wring RESOLVED.
      Today at 8.30 am I called that original Rahul ((Mobile : [protected]) and asked him why he did this. You will be surprised to know rthe answer he gave me.I DO NOT WORK WITH AIRTEL ANYMORE, SO ITS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY.

      THIS SHOWS AIRTEL DO NOT PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES DECENT SALARY , THAT IS WHY THEY GO DOWN TO THIS LIMIT TO EXTRACT MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS.
      I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE IS ANYONE IN AIRTEL WHO HAVE THE PATIENCE TO TAKE ACTIONS AGAINST MY COMPLAINT AND DO THE NEEDFUL.

          HI,

          My mobile no. is [protected], I contact to airtel's customer care department in last week of september 2012, and he committed that my bill plan will be changed from next billing cycle i.e. from 2nd october 2012 but when I called today to customer care they told me bill plan not changed yet for that first you have to submit a request of deactivation of gprs then after four hours you have to again submit a request for changing the bill plan, if it is so I should be informed in the last call and at the time of commitment.
          I,ve to bear the loss of 7 days of bill plan not changed.

          And airtel's customer care department harassing me by not giving the proper information.

            Hi,
            Like the other Airtel Users.. I got a call from [protected] today (8.10.2012) @ 18:31 GMT+5.30..
            I have a knowledge that +92 is Pakistan's country code. Since i wasn't familiar to the number i didn't receive the call.
            But i need to know whose number is it and why do we all get this call. That too from a similar or the same number.

            For reference of getting a call/missed call, You can check one of the comments- (Hi I am also an airtel user with no. [protected], i too recieved a call from the no.[protected] at 10.02 pm date 27/07/2012.
            When I searched the net got to see others also confused with such nos.

            Hi,

            today ,13th jun 2011, tuesday at 10:11 am, i receieved a call from +[protected]. It came to my knowledge that call is from pakistan. Although i missed the call, but i am concerned about how did the calling person got my number. I would appreciate it if you would look into this matter.

            Today June 16th, 2011 8.48pm. I received a call from [protected]. I don't know any one from this area code. Please investigagte the source of the call.
            Brother +92 is Pakistan...find out if you know anybody from this area or shared a number.

            dear frnd never ever recieve this type of call bcos its international call n i[censored] pick up call u will lost ur balance n this things happens wid my frnds also so be careful if its calling continuously help CBI or cyber crime ...
            I had a call like that, too. The number the caller used started with +92305 and it did look like an international call, although I didn't know it was a Pakistan country code.

            Can anybody help on this problem?
            I reported this person to www.callercenter.com in the hopes that people will know and will be able to avoid being victimized if these people are indeed a scammer.

            Yesterday evening near 9.30 to 9.55 i have received the such call with the number starts[protected] and i surprised as i do not know anyone elase in pakistan as i know the country code is +92.

            Why they are calling us ? i am having tata docomo account.

            I also got a call from a number starting with 92. I have called back and they told me this is from KBC and you are winner of 20 lakh. I have disconnected the call. I have checked the number browsing google. It seems to be a pakistan code. Lost my balance of 28 rupees. I don't know how come they got my number.

              I had paid Rupees 4500 as International Roaming deposit to Airtel in Mar 2010. Once I returned from International travel I had requested Airtel to refund the deposit. But till date they have not done this. They have been giving various excuses. IT IS CLOSE TO 2 YEARS!

              Even talking to their Nodal Officers and Apellates does not make any difference. Everytime Airtel rep calls, I have to start the story from 2010 - they always act as if this is the first time they are hearing my issue. Not sure what kind of customer service system they maintain.

              There were multiple Service Requests that have been raised to no avail. The latest SR # is 45953678.

                Hi,

                I had an airtel broadband connection. The no. was [protected]. I disconnected the services on January. I have also made the full and final settlement for the service by paying Rs 550 at the Airtel store in Saltlake, City Centre, Kolkata. The receipt no. is[protected]. The executive at the Airtel store told that I wont get any calls/ bills regarding this any more. But still, bills are being generated and being sent at my address, and one or the other executive is calling me for the payment. They are asking me if they should send someone to collect the payment. Even they sent a person twice at my address. I raised a complaint calling the airtel customer care, talking to senior executives. They said it will be sorted out and it wont get any calls/ bill from their side further. Even after this, I am receiving calls and bills. Please take necessary action against Airtel to get this problem sorted out. This is ridiculous that they treat their customer in this manner. And its a nuisance to call their customer care to raise a complain again, because their executives are the worst in the country. They neither understand Hindi/ English.

                AirTel — connection disconnected but still generating bills

                i have disconnected by airtel broadband in may, but they are still giving bills and saying connection is not disconnected.

                AirTel — Disconnected Broadband Connection

                Customer care sucks, when ever you call they are not concerned with the issue. more concerned with there script flows and and standard answers are given to customers irrespective to their issues, they do not know how to behave to loyal customer. They disconnected my broadband connection without intimation. I have not crossed by credit limit all though. i called in customer care to get it activated but they are making all false statements and not even raising request to get my broadband activated. I have made almost 7 calls in a day, and customer care executive says we do not have single record at our end.

                That is wonderfull airtel customer care centre experience.

                AirTel — Bill and connection disconnected

                I had a post paid connection with airtel they sent me the bill for 1594 since I was not in the city I told them I will come back and clear the dues. They said that they will barr the outgoing facility, to which I agreed since I had no option and I was really annoyed.
                After a two weeks I received a bill of 3094 I wondered how my bill shot since my outgoing was barred. When I returned from outstation I asked them how this happened and told them to send me a bill to my residence, I did not receive a bill but they discontinued my services.

                I must say this is appauling. I would appreciate it someone could look into the matter.

                Airtel — Connection was requested to be disconnected in October but still till Jan the bills are getting generated

                Hello Sir / Madam ,

                I requested in October that disconnect my connection ( phone number[protected] from 1st November '2010 onwards so as per my bill plan the last bill would be till 4th Nov'2010 . After making the complain I assumed it would have been disconnected as I shifted to a new place . In November I received a call from Airtel customer supprt talking about how my connection is working which was a shocker for me " How can airtel create a bill for me when I have already disconnected my connection " that time again I said what is this i have disconnected my connection if you havent discconected please do it now and I will not pay any bill for november for which they agrred and launched a complain . On 20th nov the agreement with the support person was the connection request was done in october and no usage of connection is their after 1st nov '2010 and no bill will be generated after 4th nov'2010 and i wont be paying anything after 4th nov'2010 .

                But still ( date 8th jan 2010 ) I am seeing bills getting generated for November & December and calls coming to me from airtel about bill payment every time i repeat the same story " I have disconnected my connection how are you creating bills " and evrytime the support center person says you will not receive any bill from now onwards and no calls.

                Now I am pissed off with this as they are not disconnecting my connection after my repeated requested and creating bills which I havent even used . This is something I cant take it .

                It would be great if you can resolve this issue as I am really very pissed off now with the calls and usless bills . I dont want to pay any bill which I havnt used and already proactively dissconnected .

                AirTel — Disconnecting Broadband connection

                Its almost 2 months i have complained about irregularities in my bill, i am under 6GB limited plan where in my bill should not exceed more than Rs.760 including taxes, but from past 2 months my bill has been coming as Rs.1900, for which i have complained and so far there is no response from the company, i requested to change my plan from 6GB to 3 GB limited plan, and its almost 2 months and no action has been taken so far,.i also requested them to disconnect the connection as i was not happy with the service they are providing. Following are the request no i got from the company: 7181668, 10362830, 9809426, 9326674. 8966218, 8949442, 8556568. kindly do the needful at the earliest.

                Dear Mr. Ranga,

                Are you really trying to resolve the problem? I don't think so. After raising the complaint in this site, I received a call from a female airtel executive. After listening to the problem I am facing, she assured me that it will be resolved ASAP.

                After this call, I received 4-5 calls from your executives asking me why am I leaving the connection, which I have already answered clearly to the female customer executive.

                Now for the last 4-5 days, I am continuously receiving calls from your executives asking for bill payment again and again. This is utterly ridiculous.

                Even I have received mail from airtelpresence. Below is the mail content.

                Namaste Ms. Sarkar,
                wrote in on 8th October 2012, regarding the billing discrepancy against your airtel connection [protected].

                Please be informed that, your request is in progress and will be processed at the earliest. Further, we will update you with the progression status by 19th October 2012.

                Now, do you really think that this complaint was for only billing discrepancy and not for disconnection.

                I want a resolution ASAP. I think the airtel executives are the worst trained and they don't understand a simple problem.

                To summarise, I have disconnected the service. My usage is 0B till date. But bills are still being generated and I am being asked to pay it, which I will never pay, because I have not used the service. Disconnect the service at your end.

                Hope, this is simple enough for airtel customer executive to understand.

                  For the bill of Aug,excessive charges of net is added.Which i did not use.My bill for aug. was 1841.I paid 841.They have charged 1300 for net.I was agreed to pay 700 which i have used.Not more than i have used.i tried many times to reach Airtel But they dint provide me any solution for that and then for the bill of Sept. they have again added extra charges. On 5 oct. they blocked my outgoing calls and messages.

                    Dear Sir,
                    I am K.Venkatasubramanian, one of the directors of Anand Radhika & Associates and Spearheaders Management Consultants group. My Airtel mobile no is [protected] and we got more than ten Airtel mobiles.
                    So for I have visited Mumbai three time on business connection. During my first visit itself (i.e during August 2012) I have requested you to activate the rooming for my mobile. But till date the rooming is not all activated or it is not working or any other problems at your end. Because of this I could not able to communicate to my customers and we have lost several lacks of business. Moreover I am mentally upset because of this.
                    I have even changed my sim card for new one. But still it is not working. I have also tried to connect Airtel tower by searching operator selection manually, but I got a message “No network connection”. I have also contacted your service provider in Mumbai, but they told me I nave contact only Chennai.
                    I have checked up my mobile with Vodafone sim card and I am getting immediately the rooming. So there is no fault in my mobile also and the problem is with you only.
                    So request you to do the needful at your end ASAP.
                    If you are not solving the problem immediately I may think to surrender all my company Airtel sim to you and go for a new service provider. I may even think for some legal action against you.

                      I am Anuj Kumar from Gurgaon, Haryana and this mail is regarding the Airtel Broadband connection I had applied on 01/10/2012. My request number is [protected]. Address is House no 75, Chakkarpur, Gurgaon. This was the first time I opted for Airtel connection with high expectations but sorry to say I got a pathetic experience in return.


                      A representative from Airtel came and agreed to provide the connection within 2-3 working days and took Rs.500/- but after taking money he didn’t come back at all. Almost 100 times I called him but he is not at all responding to my calls. The representative’s name is Dev Bhardwaj his number is +91-[protected]. Finally I called him with some new number (this time he picked up the call assuming some new customer’s call). All the time he say he will mail me the receipt but i didnt get any receipt.
                      It seems that just for the sake of achieving targets these people are fooling the customers.

                      I request Airtel Customer Care to take disciplinary actions against those who attract the customers just by words and not by their service.
                      And please provide me the receipt of the payment.

                        My customer id is [protected]. I purchased the AIRTEL DTH connection in July 2012.
                        I log an complaint to airtel customer care on 27th sept. 2012 related to set top box not functioning. The airtel engineer visited on 28th sept. and confirmed that the set top box is defective and need to be changed. He said it will be changed by 1st Oct. 2012. Now its already 8th Oct but still the problem is not resolved. I did lot of followup but everytime get the reply that it will be resolved on the same day. But problem is not getting resolved.
                        Everytime I am getting new complaint number (Complaint numbers : 24311317/24401526/24478626 to give some example for the same problem) but no solution and on the top of it getting sms that your query has been resolved and then they want feedback of the service.

                        Also in sms I got one mobile number asking to contact them. But to my surprise no one pick that number. I tried to contact the local sales manager also. But he also not ready to pick the phone but sms me everythime that he is busy.

                        I am really harassed now by the behavior of the air tel and lost the confidence in them.

                        I request a help here.

                          I'm air-tel prepaid mobile user ([protected])for the past 6 years.
                          On 06/10/2012 3 services were activated on my mobile without my intention
                          1) ASK AN EXPERT ABOUT YOUR CAREER AND JOBS, for 30 Rs/30 days
                          2)ITEM SONG for 10 Rs/7 days
                          3)GAMES for 1 Rs
                          and when i tried to contact their costumer care on 121 and 198,the call is getting disconnected saying that i should dial *121*4# to manage my services and no customer care person would talk.
                          when i talked with their Internet customer care they said that it is not in their department and should call the customer care on 121.

                          This is not the first time air-tel is doing this every time they would be deducting money in the name of one plan or the other.
                          Fed up of this money thirsty worst network.

                            I'm from Delhi and I have got Airtel Rs. 1699 unlimited plan. With this plan the bill comes as Rs. 2020.24 with the following break up

                            Monthly Rental - Rs. 1699
                            Service Tax - Rs 222.24
                            Gaming - Rs. 99

                            Now I don't use the gaming service at all and neither the Airtel staff has given me any such information on gaming service at all. I had written emails after emails regarding the matter to Airtel's appellate and nodal IDs as well, where I was told by telephonic call that the excess of bill for two months will be reimbursed. But during the present bill (for September 2012), the gaming charges were added again.

                            It is becoming a headache for me to keep reminding Airtel about the problems and I'm seriously thinking of disconnecting the Airtel broadband as it will ease all the problem in one shot. Neither the Airtel can give its customers a support on the ADSL router nor it can manage its customers even after sending emails to the highest authorities. Moreover, the frequency of responding to the emails has become low.

                            I want to move to the consumer court against Airtel broadband and I request your help in this regard.

                            Airtel Broadband — fraud charges

                            Im using Airtel broadband from last three months.Last month a charge of 199 for gaming was added in my account. When i asked the customer care guys they said that i subscribed it and they could do nothing to waiver this amount. But the truth is i never subscribed this service. So airtel is making business by fooling people by adding this amount to every subcriber i hope and making fraud money.This must be in millions. I never expected this from a company like airtel. I would really like to send airtel a legal notice for charge of harassing its customers and making fraud money from its customers pocket.I am sure lot of people like me will be facing this.

                            AirTel — broadband fraud

                            I applied for Airtel Broadband Connection. I was asked to pay Rs 500 in advance and was promised that Broadband will be installed in 3 days.
                            After taking the money the agent disappeared and did not even get back. Even after 8 days, I haven't got any response. After a number of calls (paid) I was informed that Broadband is not available in that area because number of connections has exceeded the capacity and my money will be refunded in 45 days.

                            I am really disappointed by Airtel service and responce... even after 2 weeks my issue has not been solved... moreover those people made me submit documents twice... giving me false hopes that connection will be installed (i think just to complete their targets)... now when i call them they dont even pic up calls...and regarding the complaint no one has contacted me yet... Can u do something.

                            I would like you to inform that concern has NOT been resolved... and i also would like to inform people in this forum that airtel is giving me false promises from 3 weeks... can any one suggest me what should i do to teach a lesson to these cheaters... so that they will to repeat such thing just to complete their targets...

                            Thank you for your reply. Airtel Appellate office has emailed and called telling that the reimbursements and correction in the bill will take place from the next month. Let us see if this time the Airtel adheres to my complaint.

                              i had recharged today 200 Rs in retailer shop and mobile no was [protected] and transaction id[protected],
                              in retailer person mobile was shown recharge successfully completed but our mobile didn't shown any message

                              Tonight I had charged 500RS to my mobile:[protected] from Mumbai,the TransID[protected],however now my mobile balance is 0.88RS, my mobile is also not availabe;
                              Before at 13:19,18th-DEC-2011,I had charged 500RS from Ahemadbad,TransID[protected] to mobile:[protected],however no balance.
                              3week ago, I had let my friend help me charge 1000Rs from Gurgoan to airtel number [protected], however no balance.
                              Please help me how to make the mobile [protected] available,now I am travelling in other city.Both of 1000RS had paid for Airtel,however no balance.

                                I never applied for internet service on number [protected] from my end.
                                neither my permission was taken to activate internet service on this
                                number.

                                i checked my past bills; since jul mid i am charged on this unnecessary. kindly stop this service from immediate.

                                not sure how come this mistake is done on either side. let me know the
                                refund process for this wrong claim. i am frustrated with this wrong charged.

                                  It has been barely three months since I bought airtel postpaid connection. For the first two months the billing amount was around 300 to 350 rupees which is my normal usage. Previous month i recieved an sms informing me my billing amount to be rupees 3053 without my activating any additional services. Every time call up the customer care the express their inability to give details of my usage.My registration number is F[protected] registered on 30th september 2012.

                                  I m using [protected] for last 1 yr. For last few month i hv noticed that my mobile bills are gradually increasing however, frequency of my outgoing calls are not as much as bill are coming.

                                  I therefore request higher authority to have ur kind attention at earliest.
                                  For the last six months I am facing the problem of excess bill in Airtel.
                                  I am been charged with Late fees with the fact that I pay my bill before or on the last date of bill payment either by going to the Airtel store or by giving the payment to the Airtel executive.
                                  I have contacted the customer care of airtel but they are reluctant to understand the situation.
                                  I have a 649 Broadband rental plan in which I should get the bill of around Rs 715(vat added) but Airtel billing department is adding up the late fees and now the bill has reached upto Rs 1245 in the December bill.
                                  My Airtel phone number is [protected]. Please do help me as I am making the payments regularly bt no help is been given by AIRTEl.

                                    Airtel — Unjustified deduction on GPRS services

                                    I am Goutam Paul, my mob no [protected].I am having airtel connection for last 3-years, but I became very unhappy for Airtel unjustified deduction on GPRS services, but surprisingly I never download anything still Airtel have already deducted 12-times against of Rs.147/-. I informed to Airtel customer care several times followed by sending SMS, but it is very unfortunate and casual service .

                                    Airtel — Unjustified money deduction

                                    My mobile number is : [protected]

                                    On 13th May 2010 I have recharged my mobile with Internet Rs.98/- pack. But, Airtel deducted Rs.205/- from my regular talktime after that when I was downloading later.

                                    They had lodged complaints numerous times but failed to give proper explanations and didn't gave back my money yet.

                                    Even, when I told one of the supervisors Mr. Sandeep that I will be lodging further complaints. He told me that he had no issues.

                                    Their data is showing that my number is not GPRS activated. But, I am browsing and downloading files everday as of now.

                                    I fail to understand why such a big company like Airtel has employed such illiterate people to serve its customers.

                                    I want my talktime back in no time, as it was cut from my regular talktime while I was already having a Rs. 98/- pack activated and my mobile was set to AirtelGPRS.

                                    Please look into the issue and take any step immediately to force them return my money that was unauthorizedly charged.

                                      I had done number portability of [protected] from TataDocomo to Airtel. But apart from completion of portability, still none of the services( such as: Outgoing, Incoming, Recharging) are activated by airtel. And Airtel customer care is also not giving good response.

                                        Since purchased AIRTEL 3g DATA CARD, the speed which they have assured is not provided so far. I am getting only less than 1 Mbps downloading speed and less than 1 mbps uploading speed. And also the broadband 3g connection frequently disconnecting. I am totally not satisfied the service which they are providing.
                                        In my resident area the service is very very poor. Even my airtel mobile also gets the same problem. Most of the time i am not getting tower.

                                        But if i moving towards city side the connection and speed is good.
