[Resolved]  Airtel — Charging for a disconnected broadband connection

Hi,

I had an airtel broadband connection. The no. was [protected]. I disconnected the services on January. I have also made the full and final settlement for the service by paying Rs 550 at the Airtel store in Saltlake, City Centre, Kolkata. The receipt no. is[protected]. The executive at the Airtel store told that I wont get any calls/ bills regarding this any more. But still, bills are being generated and being sent at my address, and one or the other executive is calling me for the payment. They are asking me if they should send someone to collect the payment. Even they sent a person twice at my address. I raised a complaint calling the airtel customer care, talking to senior executives. They said it will be sorted out and it wont get any calls/ bill from their side further. Even after this, I am receiving calls and bills. Please take necessary action against Airtel to get this problem sorted out. This is ridiculous that they treat their customer in this manner. And its a nuisance to call their customer care to raise a complain again, because their executives are the worst in the country. They neither understand Hindi/ English.

AirTel — connection disconnected but still generating bills

i have disconnected by airtel broadband in may, but they are still giving bills and saying connection is not disconnected.

AirTel — Disconnected Broadband Connection

Customer care sucks, when ever you call they are not concerned with the issue. more concerned with there script flows and and standard answers are given to customers irrespective to their issues, they do not know how to behave to loyal customer. They disconnected my broadband connection without intimation. I have not crossed by credit limit all though. i called in customer care to get it activated but they are making all false statements and not even raising request to get my broadband activated. I have made almost 7 calls in a day, and customer care executive says we do not have single record at our end.

That is wonderfull airtel customer care centre experience.

AirTel — Bill and connection disconnected

I had a post paid connection with airtel they sent me the bill for 1594 since I was not in the city I told them I will come back and clear the dues. They said that they will barr the outgoing facility, to which I agreed since I had no option and I was really annoyed.
After a two weeks I received a bill of 3094 I wondered how my bill shot since my outgoing was barred. When I returned from outstation I asked them how this happened and told them to send me a bill to my residence, I did not receive a bill but they discontinued my services.

I must say this is appauling. I would appreciate it someone could look into the matter.

Airtel — Connection was requested to be disconnected in October but still till Jan the bills are getting generated

Hello Sir / Madam ,

I requested in October that disconnect my connection ( phone number[protected] from 1st November '2010 onwards so as per my bill plan the last bill would be till 4th Nov'2010 . After making the complain I assumed it would have been disconnected as I shifted to a new place . In November I received a call from Airtel customer supprt talking about how my connection is working which was a shocker for me " How can airtel create a bill for me when I have already disconnected my connection " that time again I said what is this i have disconnected my connection if you havent discconected please do it now and I will not pay any bill for november for which they agrred and launched a complain . On 20th nov the agreement with the support person was the connection request was done in october and no usage of connection is their after 1st nov '2010 and no bill will be generated after 4th nov'2010 and i wont be paying anything after 4th nov'2010 .

But still ( date 8th jan 2010 ) I am seeing bills getting generated for November & December and calls coming to me from airtel about bill payment every time i repeat the same story " I have disconnected my connection how are you creating bills " and evrytime the support center person says you will not receive any bill from now onwards and no calls.

Now I am pissed off with this as they are not disconnecting my connection after my repeated requested and creating bills which I havent even used . This is something I cant take it .

It would be great if you can resolve this issue as I am really very pissed off now with the calls and usless bills . I dont want to pay any bill which I havnt used and already proactively dissconnected .

Its almost 2 months i have complained about irregularities in my bill, i am under 6GB limited plan where in my bill should not exceed more than Rs.760 including taxes, but from past 2 months my bill has been coming as Rs.1900, for which i have complained and so far there is no response from the company, i requested to change my plan from 6GB to 3 GB limited plan, and its almost 2 months and no action has been taken so far,.i also requested them to disconnect the connection as i was not happy with the service they are providing. Following are the request no i got from the company: 7181668, 10362830, 9809426, 9326674. 8966218, 8949442, 8556568. kindly do the needful at the earliest.

Dear Mr. Ranga,

Are you really trying to resolve the problem? I don't think so. After raising the complaint in this site, I received a call from a female airtel executive. After listening to the problem I am facing, she assured me that it will be resolved ASAP.

After this call, I received 4-5 calls from your executives asking me why am I leaving the connection, which I have already answered clearly to the female customer executive.

Now for the last 4-5 days, I am continuously receiving calls from your executives asking for bill payment again and again. This is utterly ridiculous.

Even I have received mail from airtelpresence. Below is the mail content.

wrote in on 8th October 2012, regarding the billing discrepancy against your airtel connection [protected].

Please be informed that, your request is in progress and will be processed at the earliest. Further, we will update you with the progression status by 19th October 2012.

Now, do you really think that this complaint was for only billing discrepancy and not for disconnection.

I want a resolution ASAP. I think the airtel executives are the worst trained and they don't understand a simple problem.

To summarise, I have disconnected the service. My usage is 0B till date. But bills are still being generated and I am being asked to pay it, which I will never pay, because I have not used the service. Disconnect the service at your end.

Hope, this is simple enough for airtel customer executive to understand.
