[Resolved]  Airtel, Delhi, India — Worst customer care service

On my number ([protected]), VAS PACK activated wothout taking permission from me and Rs 50 deducted for same. I called customer number care number of times. But stupid customer care not answer the activation reason. Somtimes there system is down , somtime their software is down. My experience is that "No response from the customer care and harassing the customer".

You are quite right...I am suffering the same problem.It is very difficult to connect the right node in customer care. They just sitting there trying to confuese you, by sending you here and there
SUBJECT:- HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INEFFICIENT ATTITUTE OF STAFF OF AIRTEL.

Dear SIR,

WE HAVE 36 AIRTEL CONNECTIONS IN THE NAME OF OUR COMPANY. FROM 15.07.2008 WE CHANGED TO THEIR PLAN WHICH WAS AS BELOW. THEY ASKED US TO PAY RS. 1495/- AGAINST EACH PHONE AS 2 YEARS ADVANCE RENTAL FOR 2 YRS. WE PAID RS. 1495/- AGAINST EACH OF OUR PHONE AS ADVANCE RENTAL. ACCORDING TO THIS PLAN, CHARGES WOULD HAVE BEEN AS FOLLOWS:

BUT WE STARTED RECEIVING THE BILLS WITH CHARGE STD RS.1.50, MONTHLY RENT RS.298 & RS.30, CUG RENTAL RS.30/-. Means after paying Rs. 1495 against each phone as advance rental which was duly charged in our bills, they are charging monthly rental and all the above charges from July 2008.

We have talked to them at least 500 times. Sent them at least 100 meassages. Their senior Executives to the Level of Managers have visited our offices at least 10 times. They collect documents and confirmed that it will be done in the next bills but we are receiving all our bills with same old problems even after one year.



We are still maintaining our Loyality with Airtel considering that these will be corrected and we deposit all our payments well on time after deducting the rental amount being charged by them. Then instead of correcting the bills, they have started putting penalities for not paying the Rental amount of Rs. 298. We are paying all our useage charges well on time throughout this period and for all bills.

Ms. ILA, Mr. Prashant Dua & Ms. Vinkee are handling our case from July 2008 and all of them have visited many times our office to verify all records.

We were not able to come out of the above problem, we landed in another problem because of Mr. Prashant Dua, Busines Manager of Bharti Airtel Ltd.

We received our Total bills of about 37, 000/= for all phones to be paid till 23rd May’09. Mr. Prashant Dua confirmed in one of his messages that we can adjust 14, 000/ and deposit balance money as a single cheque and it will be adjusted against all our bills. We immediately deposited Rs. 23, 000/= as single cheque along with a letter giving details of all our phone nos. to be credited in individual account well before 23rd May. Their representative came within 15 minutes to our office to collect the cheque and was debited to our account within 2 days by our Bank. But they did not credit even a single Ruppee of that into any of our account. So, the outgoing calls of many of our Managers got disconnected because of this. They are getting the impression that our company (Unicorn) is in bad financial condition that we are not able to pay Mobile bills. But they do not know that It is because of the highly unprofessional and inefficient managers of Airtel, who are not performing their duties properly. I do not know whether it is because of poor staff kept by Mr. Sunil Mittal or his intention to cheat customers like this. As it is we were facing problems of Over billing since July 2008 now this another problem has come where we have paid all the bills on time and still our Managers are getting the message of disconnections because of non payment of bills.


- We have received our bills of this month where no old corrections has been done.

- Credit of Rs. 23, 000/= has not been adjusted.

- Penality has been imposed for non payment of bills.

- Phones of our managers are being disconnected even after all payments have been done.

We don’t know what to do now? If any one of you can help us in this matter, please help.

I am too much diturbed due to your network services with in two year.before two year your network service is too good but now totaly disturbed.I am using three number for airtel.It`s not only my problem this problem is serving all that person who is using airtel sim.I have wrote complain in customer care too much time but there is no response.your network services is good but in our area punjabi basti baljeet nagar(patel nagar) your network is not coming.

Acording to me this problem is runig due to some reasons

My prepaid number [protected] is not having roaming. After several request also, air tel is unable to activat the same. Please do the needful to activate the roaming
My Airtel No. [protected] Now which is in rooming, so it service will be stop, I informed to Bangalore customer care but not get the satisfaction and neither start my airtel service.
I had requested the Customer Care Service centre to disconnect postpaid Airtel mobile No.[protected] in the name of my father late Shri Kameshwar Sharma. However, the concerned authorities have not disconnected it desipte our repeated requests for a long time on one reason or the other. I am going post to pillar for this purpose. But all exercise proved to be futile.

I, therefore, request the Airtel authorities again to disconnect the postpaid Mobile No.[protected] without further loss of time as my father in no more in the world failing which I will not pay any charges in future. I am not interested in keeping this number with me at any cost.
I had requested the Airtel Customer Care Service Centre to disconnect postpaid Mobile No.[protected] in the name of my father late Shri Kameshwar Sharma. AirTel — Pathetic Service and worst customer care

This is vinod kumar K (Post paid connection # [protected]).
[protected] was the privies number for the same a/c.

Like 2 months ago, I raised a request for surrendering my connection then I got the call back and she (Uma G) convinced me on change of number against surrendering the connection. Next one month there is no response and the number was not been changed.

Then again I raised a request for surrendering my connection then again I got the call back (from [protected]) this time she assured me on changing the number in 48 hours (same like the privies one) and in addition to that assured of changing the bill plan also


The same story was repeated again. After complaining N number of times through 121, one day (3 weeks before) the out going facility was not available. When I contacted 121 they explained that this is due to number change in process and it will be ok soon. Next day I got the call from [protected] stating that the number was changed and the bill plan will be changed in another 24 hours.

From that day to till date, nothing happen and the outgoing call facility for this number was not been restored even though I got the msg that it has been restored (from AT-Services on 26th June 4:18pm).

It become daily routine for me to call 121 and some one assuming me that the issue will be solved in 2hours – 24 hours – tomorrow afternoon. Two weeks before on Sunday they transferred the call to there supervisor (Vinod I believe) I conformed that it will be ok by the afternoon of next day.

From that day till today, I couldn’t call to 121 if I did the call will be disconnected automatically as soon as I enter my number.

If I succeed on this some one will be saying that the app was down so call after 2 hours.

This is the worst customer care I came across or header about and also an pathetic one in the world

I had been using Airtel for more than two years. The customer care of Airtel literally sucks. B'cos of the pathetic condition of Airtel Customer Care, our group of around 15 friend decided to switch over to Vodafone and we did. Now we are very satisfied with the services and customer care of Vodafone. I think Airtel will lose its customers to Vodafone very fast.

We have procured Airtel Sim card having No [protected] Form Siliguri as we often visit that area, which was showing Rs 5.00 as balance in sim. At Delhi we got it charged for Rs 300/- which is not showing in the balance by Dialling *123#.The Detail of event for charging is as under :-

•Date 20 July 09 at 12.58 PM
•Place Delhi, Karol Baugh.
•E-Charging done by Mobile No [protected] to Mobile No. [protected].
•Charge Amount Rs 300.00 .
•Massage received in Mobile ( Talk time 0.00 MRP 300.00 Trans ID[protected] E Charge.)


Now we are not having any balance in mobile in spite of 300.00 charge amount spent. Kindly look in to the matter and solve the issue.

BROUGHT TO THE NOTICE OF WRONGLY SENT DETAILS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REQUESTED TIME & AGAIN TO 121 BUT THE CORRECT BILL DETAILS ARE STILL AWAITED. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND SUPPLY THE CORRECT BILL DETAILS FOR JULY'09 IMMEDIATELY. NEEDED VERY URGENTLY.

It materialises that the dealer was asked to send the application form & all doccuments to the AIRTEL Head Office and till then I am asked to wait for reconnection. I have made all the payments.So i request to you please reconnect my number

Totally agree these airtel guys are not understanding the customer needs and problem. just make nice adds and slogans. I had a connection I requested for previous bills. talked to customer executive. he said it will be done in 7 working days. then after 10th day when I call and said I have not received it yet. the executive simply told that the request is not in the system. after that I requested again and this goes on. I also talked to team lead but all in vain. I also send many mails but ever got satisfied answers.


SO I DECIDED AND CLOSE THE CONNECTION !!! that number was 8 years old. Though I know I make have loose many old contacts but for mental peace I have done it.

Now I have taken BSNL and I am sure if I done get answer then I dont have to run after the virtual people. I have the alternative of RTI (Right to information).
My account has been charged for the bill gernerated by Airtel, fortunately I have disconnected the number 2 years back

My number was [protected] disconnected in April, 2007.
Bill generated for the same number in Aug 2009 (the number has been given to somebody else) but the bill amount get credited from my account.
