[Resolved] Airtel Digital TV — False Promises and non Installation | |||
I have a serious complaint to make. I had filled in the promo offer form on the airtel website for digital tv April 1. And, got a call from Ms Vriti Agency a DSA of Airtel. They even sent me a couple of mails with the offers available. A caller named Shantanu Vishwakarma promised digital TV installation by 12 Pm on April 2, but only if I made the payment instantly online. If NOT the money would be refunded. That was my only condition for my opting for Digital TV that day. I made a payment of Rs 3,950 online between 4 - 4:15 today and he confirmed receipt verbally and gave me a number: 3322501. He also promised to email me a confirmation receipt in 5 minutes. He also gave me a number of Mr Manoj Saha (or Shah[protected] I have called his number at least 10 times for the receipt and he does not pick up the call. I have also called the airtel help line number[protected] and NO ONE seems to have an answer. I also called 12150 and here as well have not got any concrete answer. I got a confirmation SMS from Airtel at 8 PM on APRIL 1 that the engineer will be setting this up by 9:00 AM on April 2. On the day of committed installation I waited till 10:00 and since no one called or came I called 12150 and registered a complaint. I was told that complaint had to be done with the ESCALATION DEPARTMENT. On speaking with them I got the complaint number [protected] and a confirmation that the installation would be done by 2:30 Pm. The whole day passed, no one called or came and the installation did not happen. And there's no response to the refund request as well. If Airtel could NOT LIVE UP TO THE COMMITEMENT why did they force sell for making a payment. This is total harrassment and fraud I would like to get the refund and penalty for robbing our family of watching the the world cup finals. ajit narayan Was this information helpful? | |||

Just to update that nothings changed in the last 7 days. I've been getting calls for resolution and a promise to get the full refund back on my credit card within 7 days (this was not just a call but also a message last thursday which is a week back.) Everything but the refund is happening and I don't want to pay interest on credit card payments as a further harassment. This is NOT a Rs 100 or Rs 200 issue but Close to Rs 4, 000. KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL.

Would appreciate if the telecalling harassment is STOPPED and the actual resolution which is a full REFUND is done. I had all good intentions for a long relationship. But if Airtel does not value customer relationships once the payment is made on a sale, I guess its the worst brand to go for.
After this experience, I am actually re thinking my relationship with Airtel on mobile services as well. For your information, I've been a Airtel Enterprise customer with reasonably high usage.
