Hi,

Out of frustration I am writing about the service provided by Airtel DTH. I had raised a request on 10/04/11 for reinstallation of DTH as I moved to another house. Promptly, I received the following SMS from AIRTEL DTH: "Dear Customer, request no-6811117 for 'Relocation request', 'Happy Code-8KFY. Share code with the engineer once issue is resolved. for any query pls call [protected]"

I was trying to reach the given number for the past 5 days, there was no response. Fortunatly, I called the guy at around 3:00 in the noon. he said, that he would give a call to technician and get back within a minute. There was no response again from him. similarly, I tried reaching him 5 times, he said the same till 8:00 PM. after 8:00 PM, his mobile went off to not reachable.

Its since more than a week, raised a request for relocation of DTH. So far, it has not done. there is no response at all from the service engineer.

I think, I need to take the issue to Consumer Court.

I'm from delhi . I have purchased airtel STB on 29th dec 2008 and scheduled installation .They told me that your installation will be on 31 dec. by 11:00 AM surely, but nobody came here to me . And when i raised my complained then they told me that it will be carried out by evening of same day 31st dec, but this time also they made me fool. And now they are saying that it will be done on 2 jan 2009 but i niether believe nor intrested now and want my money refund bcoz from thier initial service i can imagine how it will go in future, it will go to worst . & & And I would also like to suggest other people never go for Airtel DTH...

A week before i approached a delaer in coimbatore for a DTH service
I selected airtel over Reliance and suntv
not a didfficult decison anyways ..
but suprisingly airtel is no way better off
No installation till date, My delaer hasnt a clue, the sales manager only knows how to sell
the customer care is good at saying "i understand ur problem" We are sorry ...(10 times)

The story so far
No installation, no message, no body cares
Firstly, I never thought i would post such negative comments about AIRTEL
DTH . A week after installation I start getting a msg on my tv screen ie 'This card ia not authrised..." thereafter i contact ur tollfree no but the problem remain the same . Everyone at ur centre told me that the problem will be sorted out within half an hour but the problem remain the same

This is to inform you that i am a subscriber of your company and enjoying your DTH service .
I had made a payment of 2210 rupees and 370 on 13th feb 2009 to get my services activate but yet ur services have not been activated i have visited ur franchises office at M.M Malvia road Amritsar today i had been informed by them today thar site is not working properely for last 4 days so its not poosible to recharge ur connection

when i asked them that what happened that why the site is not working properly at that very moment he used abusive language with me that why are u putting this question go and ask from customer care for ur problems we are not responsible for that we are here to just collect recharge money and that guy ask me to tke my refund from them and when i tried to remind thier duty they tried to get physically with me.

kindly resolve this issue at your end and take strict action against them. The details are mentioned below.

I had bought an Airtel DTH service on the 2nd of jan 2009 just a day after my b'day, my services got disconected on 21st sumthing, when contacted customer care came to know i had been charged for some extra cabling for rs 300, god knows how coz i wasnt aware of it.However i was ready to pay as my relatives had arrived at my place and it was say 9.15pm at night and wanted my tv to start.I tried customer care from 9.30 till 11.30pm and evn spoke to few seniors and employee's wud like to name a few(Pratik, Bikash poojari, etc) but all they told me is that it would get activated and that they understand my problem but nothing happened.The only method was to get an voucher at close to midnight just to get my service activated..huh?? dumb?? on my several reqsts, they did nothing..But then i talked to one of the employees named Roshan Rajagopal(if m correct) and he really helped me, also helped me get the recharge done via my credit card and my Tv started just minutes later..THANKS ROSHAN, REALLY APPRECIATE HIM, HE DID SOMETHING WHICH NO ONE CUD DO, AND WAS SO COOL, CALM AND PLEASANT OVER THE PHONE...Wish would be more guys like him

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Not working since installation - 2 months

We got it installed in June09 & since than every now & then the screen goes blank with a message "the inserted card is not a BHarti TV viewing card" Pl contact customer care.

We have contacted the person Mr/ Moin Khan who installed it at our end, he got it refreshed over phone but no improvement. Than we contacted customer care, they also got it refreshed & as told by them they also adjusted come settings but problem still persists.

Now I have made again a complaint with a customer care (# 905478) .we are waiting for something to happen now at least.

I want this problem to be sorted out immediately as it is very annoying to see the message again & again on screen.
I purchased Airtel dth on 31st August.But it is not installed yet. We called the costomer care several times but their response was not satisfactory.The attitude of the members of the customer care service in kollam is very poor.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Set top box is dead and not replaced by last tow weeks

My customer ID is [protected], I am really astonish regarding the unprofessional service from Airtel Digital TV, my set top box was dead on 4th October and I raised a complaint in customer care on 5th of October and my complaint no. is 1173173, till today no one has turned up to my house to check what has happened exactly and while calling and calling again and again I am getting non sense answers from customer care that set top box are not in stock, when you all are starting such business firstly you have to take care of customer service and complaints or otherwise stop this business refund customer money so that customer could go to some other excellent and branded (TATA sky, Dish TV etc..) service provider and enjoy whatever he has spend, you all are not suppose to spend our hardened money in advertisement to make false business you can pay lot of money to film stars for your advertisement and you don’t have device to keep in stock , I am really pissed off due to such ill-mannered service and dirty management.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Set Top Box is dead and no service provided by Airtel for last two weeks

I purchased Airtel Digital TV in June 2009. For last two weeks set top box is dead and i raised a complain in customer care they told me that they will send their technician with in 24 hours to rectify. Even after two weeks and making several call to the customer care no one has turned up to my house to rectify the problem as on today.
I have already posted my comments twice yesterday my service request no 1198953 for changing my package from north mega to south mega . I clearly mentioned my package. But it was recharged wrongly. for Rs.3033/- the dealer bagged rs 3400/- from my pocket. from last two days [protected] is out of order i mean no response. By dropping important Telugu channels like TV9, MAA, ZEE Telugu and Bhakti TV my family members loosing the happiness of Diwali festival. It was already 8 days over since I made my complaint. I hope immediate change of package from north mega to South mega
Is there any use of the posting of complaint? No toll free service is responding. My service request number 1198953 is not attended still. I am wasting money on internet inclusive of money already wasted on Digital TV. Airtel is a big lie of the century.

This is a warning for all new airtel DTH customer that henceforth do not even think of Airtel DTH, dont ever suggest any one to buy airtel DTH as after sale service is pathetic, i would say eevn BSNL is far ahead in case of service comaparison. I got the first airtel DTH in Jammu. Recently i got transferred to chandigarh. befor coming to chandigarh i deposited Rs300 in their account and got slot for de installation, but no one visited my address and finally after regular follow up with the customer care i did de installation myself. Then while i was coming back to chandigarh i asked them to install my services next day. But a new era of manatal harassment started with the customer care. I specifically gave then then new address but they did not turned up. After 4 days of regular follow up i got call from backend team and he gave me the ZSM name and number. I called him up and even after following yup with him engineer came next day in evening.

After around 6 days my set top stopped working and i complaint to them in morning and they said by same day evening it will be resolved. As usal no body turned up and i again made call to them in evening. The reply that i got was shocking they said " You were not there when there engineer visited home" . I asked which addres did you visited, they said Jammu. i said boss if i have installed your services at chandigarh what is the fun visiting jammu address. After this i had word with senior Pramod who convinved me that engineer will visit address in evening . At around 4 pm i received call from there backend team and he asked me what is the update. I asked you should be knowing and then he said your jammu address is locked. listening to this i got angry and i asked him to give his ZSM number so that i can talk to him. But to my amaze he abused me and hung up the phone.

Now yesterday evening i have gone to dainik bhaskar and complaintd there. New will get pyublish today.

As a information i am posting this post. Please BE AWARE FROM AIRTEL DTH. THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICE PROVIDER OF THE NATION.

How to get these AIRTEL people to court...let me know a way to drag all these fellows to such a mental situation as we have faced...there customer care numbers doesn't exit and if so no one never answers...all this is flaw and why the hell on earth that the government is not taking any steps to ban this service...Is the whole system corrupt???

If educated people like us are facing such a helpless condition then what about the others..There should be some solution for this...please let me know if we can together do something.

I have put an request to install my Airtel digital set. As per the request it was scheduled on 05/12/2009 (Saturday) at 5.00 pm. The engineer called me on 05/12/2009 at 1200 hrs and asked me the complete residential address. After providing the residential from that time my headache started the way AIRTEL IS PROVIDING THE SERVICES. ITS PATHETIC. I WILL MENTION THE PATHETIC AND HEADACE POINTS.

1. I tried to call the service engineer for installation but it was swtich off.

2. Next day morning i.e 06/12/2009 (Sunday) I called the customer care and I was informed that he raised SR#1578957 "Engineer Related" and with this SR the installation will be done by 17:30 evening. (I DON'T KNOW WHY I BELIEVE ON AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE)

3. Evening around 7.00 pm one call came from the service engineer that they cannot come today (Sunday) and will be done tomorrow only. After a kind request around 9.00 pm once again service engineer called for the home address. I was excited but shattered in another 1 hour. I got an sms from 247 that SR#1578957 has been resolved. SURPRISED. As of now I have not seen the face of engineer also.

4. I again called the customer care with the new SR#1582277 and after a conversation of 30 min, Mr. Senthil used all these word (sure, definately) that tomorrow (Monday) engineer will close the complain at 9.00 am morning and I can enjoy watching dth by 9.30 am. He gave me such great assurance that I forgot my words i.e I repeadetly asked him that "I HAVE WASTED THE ENTIRE 1 DAY IN WAIT OF SERVICE ENGINEER WHICH COST ME MORE AND AGAIN TOMORROW IF HAPPENES THEN WHAT?"
ANS FROM SENTHIL - SIR, TOMORROW DEFINATELY AND SURELY BY 9.00 AM MORNING THE ENGINEER WILL REACH YOUR HOME AND INSTALL THE SET. IF NOT THEN IN THE NEXT SERVICE REQUEST AIRTEL WILL BEAR ALL THE COST OF MY LOSS.

5. Morning except my neighbours and sun I didn' find anyone related to Airtel. I got one more SMS that my SR has been closed and resolved if Satified sms SAT to 5030 or UNSAT. I sms as UNSAT today (07/12/2009 at 2.30 pm) because as of now it has not done.

6. Called the customer care and spoke to Imran and asked him all the details about my SR. He told me that as per the system it has been updated as by 17.30 on Monday it will get resolved. I told him that this is all rubish and I wanted yesterday's recording to go to court. And above all he expected me to talk to him politely. When I started shouting he disconnected the call. Other than he told me that I need to wait till 17.30 and if not then again call.

Final Interpretation from my side :

1. AIRTEL DTH CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY VERY WORST
2. AIRTEL SR DOES NOT HAVE ANY VALUE
3. ALWAYS GIVES WRONG COMMITMENT. (3 time in this case)
4. ALWAYS LOOKS FOR EXCUSES TO SATISFY CUSTOMERS
5. IF YOU CALL IN MORNING THEY SCHEDULE FOR EVENING TIME AND VICE VERSA AND NO MATTERS HOW TIME YOU CALL.
6. CCE'S BEHAVIOUR IS VERY BAD TO THE CUSTOMER AND ALWAYS EXPECT TO DISCONNECT THE CALL. (yesterday i heard that "say him tomorrow the problem will be resolved and I will disconnect the call now)
7. IN SUCH PROBLEMS WHOM TO CONTACT NO INFORMATION.
8. SUPERVISIOR DAY ONE WORD TO THE CUSTOMER AND WRITE SOMETHING ELSE IN SR. WHEN ASKED TO COPY IN MY MAIL THEY WILL DENY.
9. AIRTEL IS CHEATING TO THE CUSTOMERS.

I hope this is enough for you to know the reasons of Headache. If you need any proof look at your system and also listen to voice recordings. Today also I am waiting when it will get resolved after loosing 2 days BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

I have airtel digital tv Customer ID-[protected]. On 27th of August i purchase this and fixed in the 2nd floor after that the extaintion of my billding to 3rd floor i fixed it to 3rd floor but no signal has been found. I call to customer care for this no signal they say that changing to 3rd floor we would to pay Rs.200/- for this. I live in houserant, again if i change my house then i will also another charge for this.I am wasting money on Digital TV. Airtel is a big lie of the century.

This is Nageswara Rao.P, I am new customer for Airtel DTH, my customer id is: [protected]. Here I am providing my comments and very bad experience with AIRTEL DTH.

I was planned to book/recharge the new connection through the online but I was not able to do it because of my area pin code was not available in your system. Then I called customer care and I paid the amount of 1850/- through my HDFC credit card on 5th FEB 2010 and asked them to install the system on 6th FEB 2010 between 11 am to 1 pm. After I called customer care on 6th FEB morning he said he will be sending the guys by 1 pm, but nobody came and installed. After so many calls finally they came by evening 5 pm and set up the box and said I will be able to see the channels with in 1 hr but not able to see any channels due to they have installed wrong card in the setup box.
After so many calls they came and changed the card on 8th FEB evening. Again one more problem that, I have requested for “South economy” plan with 4 months free subscription but they have installed basic package “South super value” plan with 5 months free subscription and added the amount 1750/- in system even I paid 1850/-.

Again after so many calls they changed my plan from the “South super value” to “South economy” but NOT changed the amount from 1750/- to 1850/- on 11th FEB.
After 1 week that means on 19th FEB, Friday they have been disconnected it due to my account balance went on negative balance (Since amount has been NOT changed from 1750 to 1850); due to this I am not able to see any channels from 19th morning onwards. I put a complaint on 19th Morning and they informed it will be resolved within 24 hr but still NOT yet resolved. Also I asked that what needs to be done if I want to see the channels immediately and one of your manager said that if you recharge the 150/- amount that is went on negative balance I am able to see otherwise NO.

I can pay that 150/- rupees that is not the matter here, here the thing is that how you are providing the service.

That means even if you people did the mistake, I am the one suffering for that. For example if I would have availed that 4 months free subscription and it is exceed that 4 months free subscription then disconnected means it will be reasonable but at the early days itself they have disconnected it.

Already 4 days are completed but nobody responded still. But I am calling every day to the customer and they are taking again and again complaints and saying it will be resolved within 24 hr but nobody responding for this.

My comments:
I am really fedup and irritated with the service provided by AIRTEL. I never seen this type of worst service in my life.
The main reason that I go for this is my friends are suggested me to take this TV and also said that you people are providing a very good service but I did not see any thing good on this. Instead of this AIRTEL DTH I would have taken some other DTH or normal dish connection.

Yesterday, I tried to buy multiple DTH connections from the Airtel.in website. While the form submitted, the payment could not go through. I received an email saying my application had been received and I would get a call back. I got a call back promptly in 30 mins, they took all my info and said they would send someone to collect the money as online payment was not working and deliver the multiple activation kits. This all happened promptly on time - no issues at all. I paid Rs. 3380 /- as cash for two connections of Rs. 1690 /- each with 3 months of mega pack included. The phone person offered me a discount and wanted Rs. 3200/ -, I have a receipt for that with the packs.

After you buy a pack, you are supposed to call the central toll free number and register the packs for installation, I did that. There was no issue and I was told installation will be done at 3 p.m today, I was given a customer ID of [protected]. I took a half day off work and came, as complained by many, no one turned up at 3 p.m. When I called the toll free number, I was shocked - they said no installation has been scheduled. The agent again too all my info - then said installation would not be possible as the pack I was mentioning was not of the correct amount - it was of Rs. 1750 each and it should be of 1890 each. I tried explaining that I bought what was mentioned on the website - it still shows Rs. 1690 on the site- pic attached. The agents could not understand this, for about 5 times they just left me holding the phone for 20 - 25 mins each and then disconnected it. Then I spoke to the Supervisor who promised resolution in 30 mins - 2 hours later no response. where I thought some nodal officer would check into this mess - instead, you land up with stupid agents again - they just kept me on hold and eventually dropped the phone 2 times. If the company believes that outsourced dumb agents can run their services, I don't want to deal with them.

Now, I am so fedup I want a refund, I'll go buy Tata Sky and I'll make sure that at least 100 contacts do not ever buy Airtel DTH.

My setup box not working and I am complian on26.07.10 to your customer care, but customer care told you speak to shopman. I called on continue three days to shopwala and they told we compliant to airtel dth dealer from Ulhasnagar. Before three days they come to mu home and check the setup box, they are told this box repair.
They are removed the setup box on 31.07.10 and they are told me this box return and install on 03.08.10. But till date setup box are not return and not responsible. Please rectify the same on an urgent basis.

Airtel DTH is one of the worst service given to consumers. By having some irresponsible executives Air-tel is spoiling its name. After me paying the money i waited almost a 5 days and still i didn't receive any call from installation team. But the sales guy, MF Sahil Khan was so particular of my payment and believe it he called me around 34 times before i made the payment. But later when i tried reaching him, he picks up the call and tells me Sahil is out of office and his name changed to shankar. This is the kind of gimmic he gives. Next time guys take the connection let them install and then you pay them. Upfront if we give then we should be running behind these M[censored].

I bought Airtel Digital TV connection about 2 years back and had a good experience of smooth running till June 2010. In June, 10, my TV started showing 'no signal' sign and after chasing my complaints for about a week, the engineer came and said the Set Top Box is defective and it will be replaced when available in the stock. Finally, the SOB was replaced TV began working only for another 15 days. This time again for the last 10 days, my TV is showing the 'no signal'. I am a permanent customer of Airtel for quite some time now, I have using Airtel mobile, airtel broadband just because of its good services .
And hence I decided to switch my DTH services also from some other company to Airtel.

On friday I made a query on your webside for the buying a new Airtel DTH service, I received a call back also after sometime from some mumbai no.
Since I was very much convinced with the Airtel brand hence without any delay I purchased the Airtel DTH from your tele sales person via IVR.
I made the payment through my credit card . That tele sales person assured me that DTH will be installed within 24hours time .
After payment I didnt received any kind of SMS or mail for the confirmation.

Nobody has contacted me so far its already been more than 72 hours now which is more then your SLA with the customers.

This is really very disappointing to me and I would say has ruin the image of airtel in my eyes.

Unfortunately I lost the transaction ID as well what that sales person had given me, though I have learned one more lesson that I should not blindly have faith in big brand like airtel as well.

Now what I want is that please let me how can I get my money back since I m not getting proper customer satisfaction even before taking the services.

Even I called the airtel DTH call centers as well and they assured me for the call back, but all my efforts were gone in vein.

Airtel executive assured me i will get the installation within 24 hours, Toady it will cross 5 * 24 Hours, no installation took place. Today i got the message from Airtel, they will install on Nov 13, 2010.

I don't need to describe the service provided by airtel. Wrost. I think i took a wrong decision to purchased Airtel DTH. I want to take my money back.

I have purcahsed airteldth vide receipt No.28792/4.11.2010 from Devi International, Bangalore through Samsung product scheme. This is the worst kind of service which i have ever received from a Digital provider, i booked my slot for reinstallation on 10th nov and the executive over a call had mentioned that an engineer will be at my place on 12th, but thanks to the wonderful customer service at 12150 every time they have a new story,
1) Call 1: They told me that the executive will install the box on 12th after noon, and i paid Rs300 for the installation charges.
2) Call 2: They told me that the executive will be there by 1 PM
3) Call 3: They said that the engineer will be at your place by 2 PM and i was given a number which was not working [protected]
4) Call 4: They told me that the installation will be done on 26th as the date mentioned is on 26th
5) Call 5: Within 2 hours an executive will come to your place and do the installation.

Just to get a dish installed i have to call so many times and i had to take a leave so that the connection is in place during the weekend, now nothing has happened.

Now i am so dissapointed that i am planning to change my connection.

I have booked a DTH (HD) connection in the name of Mr. Nikit Butani ([protected]) on 13.11.2010 from the M/S Vandana Communication Bhera Enclave, New Delhi. They have given a time for installation i.e. by 12 noon on 14.11.2010 positively. On 14.11.2010 at 12.30 PM I contacted customer care. They told me that no registration has been received by this office and assured that the same will be installed by evening. At 7.30 PM the DTH antenna was installed but the set - up Box without HD facility was brought at my residence. On enquiring Mr. Gurender Singh, confirmed that the booking is for DTH without HD facility. I was shocked to hear this as I had deposited RS. 1250.00 extra towards the DTH (HD) connection. The installation people told me that the booking will be rectified tomorrow and the same will be installed by 11.00 AM but till now nobody has turned up. I have registered my 1st complaint (Service request no[protected] on November 27, 2010, customer care executive (Sayantani) told that representative will come 28th November by 3.30 P.M. and he'll solve the problem. But nobody has come. After that I call the customer care again and they have told me that my complaint is closed now and kindly register a new complaint. I bought Airtel DTH in October (2 set top boxes; 1 HD & other normal), I opted for South Maga packages for both as free offer for 2 months; it was connected on October 24, 2010.

I deposited Rs 2300 in the account & called[protected] and asked that after the 2 month free period got over, I wnat South Mega pack in the HD (with Tamil & Malayalam as add-on) & South Economy (with Tamil as add-on) in the other.

From the morning of Dec 16, I found that certain channels were not available (Error 4 message on screen). After 2 calls in the morning (getting thro takes at least 5- minutes), some Tamil channels were restored. In the afternoon I found NDTV Profit, CNBC, BBC, CNN & Adhitya were not available. I called the same # again. The 'executive' made me repeat everything & put me on hold for about 20 minutes; after that I disconnected. I called again & insisted on speaking to the supervisor. One Ashish came on line & I had to repeat the story all over again. Since I could not hold on the line, I gave him my (Airtel) cell # & asked him to call me. No reply so far.
I have been using Airtel mobile & Broad band for years & am disappointed with the quality of service on DTH.

Airtel DTH — Relocation request pending for more than a week

I am Anil and holding Airtel Dth ([protected]) connection since January 2010 in Chennai, now I got relocated to Banglore and I requested for relocation (request No: 5712605) on 04/03/11, and told them that I am vacating the house on 05/03/11, no one came to deinstall it. So I myself deinstalled as we are vacating the house and it may be lost, and went to Bangalore on the same day. I started following up for installation from 06/03/11, and today is 11/03/11, still now no engineer turned up and its really frustration to miss all World cup matches because of these guys negegence. And the most funny part is still I am charged for the connection though I am not using. If someone from Airtel is seeing this, please do the needful before tommorrow match between India and RSA, else I need to go for some other service provider.

The actual concern is not listed on 11 March 2011, it is pending from 4 March 2011. Your representative deleted my request created new one on 11 March, for no good reason. Don't you guys think this is taking way too long. I asked for closing my Dth connection to one of your representatives and he replied someone will call me for closing the connection, that didnt happened either. Recent TRAI report shows Airtel tops the list when it comes to receiving customer complaints. I didn't beleive it until it happend to myself now. Now I totally lost my patient after missing half of world cup and really your service sucks.

I, p.s. sundaravaradan bought airtel dth with recorder as its packages are cheaper to me (I am already having TATA SKY and having very good quality pictures)and installation done on 6-3-2011. id. no.[protected], from day one I have problem viewing channels because of overlapping of clolours at regular intervels. I made many number of calls to customer call and their mechnic visited twice and replaced HDMI cable. but of no use. they could not find what the fault .Now I want the set top box be replaced as early as possible as i am unable to view any channels at a stretch as it is very glaring and overlapping. I am very much disappointed with the sercvice airtel dth providing and they are not having technicians who could locate the problems as they are all at sea when problem arises. When I contacted customer support about these SMSs, they simply say SORRY about that and will raise a new request giving ETA as 6PM of the same day, and as I expected learnt from these many days of experiences, the same story will repeat. What a CRAP it is. Really!! Really!! sick of its service from the most respected AIRTEL.
The only reason these many days I bear with this was, I am very old and happy Airtel postpaid & Broad band user amazed with their quality of services.Other wise I should have been throw this DUMMY piece after seeing these kind of things.
It was very fortunate that I heard same kind of experiences from many of my friends/colleagues with AIRTEL DTH, who are moved to other proivders and enjoying even after loosing their MONEY with AIRTEL considering NO PAIN.

in a hurry, forgot to mention about interesting episode with the backend team(thats how they call it)

it took for me 15 days to get to know about the actual issue(sattelite has been changed) after my daily job of calling airtel people. Some technician visited my home and told the dish has to be moved to a place where it can find the signal from the new sattelite and somebody will come and do that. Waited for a week for that SOMEBODY. Finally one more technician came and surprisingly told the same words. I told him about the same thing happend with other guy, this guy very honestly told if no body comes by tomorrow, some how he will only fix it. Thats it disappear and no response to my calls.

When I called to customer care and explained about this episode, same SORRY saga begins and a fresh complaint raised repeating same boring words. They told this time they are sending emails to the concern area managers escalating my complaint. What a service, hatsoff to AIRTEL !!!

My name is Koteswara Rao and I have been using Airtel DTH for 8 months. My Customer ID is [protected]. I took Airtel Dth connection in Chennai. 4 weeks back I got transfer from Chennai to Hyderabad. So I called the Airtel DTH people on 17th April 2011 and asked them to come to home on 27th April 2011 for de-installation and re-installation of Airtel Digitel TV. The Request No is 7393515. They said OK. But no one came to my home on that day. I keep on called them.I waited two days, but no use. For this reason, I called the some local guys to remove my umbrella.
Again I called the Airtel DTH people and asked them for re-installation in hyderabad. At that time they were talking about the de-installation. I told them like no one came to my home and I requested them like atleast try to come to Hyderabad on time to install the Airtel DTH.
They said ok and took the new request id: 7607272. I came to Hyderabad on 4th May 2011 and called them. Still no one came to my Home for installation process. So many times I called the customer care people, but they didn’t respond. Some guys are lifted my phone and cut again without intimate. Even if I ask anyone to connect the senior management, they said ok and put me hold 15 to 20 mins. This was happened me twice in a couple of days.
Finally I called on 12th April 2011 asked for the reason, they simply disconnected my service.
Can you please help regarding my complaint.

I am from Bangalore and I want to bring to your notice the problems I am facing from Airtel DTH since last few weeks.
I had opted for Airtel DTH service some 4 months back and everything went fine till 2 weeks back.
I opted for FOOD FOOD channel addition which required dish allignment by technician.
The technician came on 9th May and did some allignment and charged Rs 100 for the job although it was told to me that the service was free.
After the allignment happened, most of the regular channels stopped coming.
Either the channels were blacked out with no signal displayed or some pixaleted images were coming.
I made repeated calls to Airtel Customer support starting from 10th May to send a person again for rectifying this issue and add the necessary channel but no action has been taken till date even though the customer care assured me of quick rectification. Even I sent sms to Add FOOD as well as HELP to 54325 but nobody turned up to rectify the issue. I regularly get sms that we apologise for delay in attending service and blank calls from [protected] which I pick up and no one speaks.
On saturday 14th May, I called up customer care and repeated the problem for the umpteenth time.
He said the allignment has been physically done but technically not done.
He assured me that everything will be fine in 30 mins.
After 30 mins, all the channels stopped working with error code SM2 and B001.
Again when I contacted customer care, they said, an engineer will come to resolve this problem.
They gave me various timings first saturday 6 pm, then sunday 10 AM, then sunday 6 PM.
Till today no technician has even bothered to call up and find out about the problem and address.
My set is lying dead since last 3 days and no channel is available.
Now when I call up customer care, nobody picks up the call, they simply disconnect.
I have paid more than Rs10000 for the set top box and taken 1 year subscription and I am not being able to view any channel.
Customer care is not at all helping.
I request you take immediate action to attend the problems I am facing.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Paid money 4 weeks back, no connection yet, PATHETIC Service after taking money

I made payment for HD with Recorder connection more than 4 weeks ago. After few days, an installation engineer came and said the connection might not be possible due to building orientation and he advised installation can be done only on the roof.
I was told by my apartment management that others in my building have connection and asked to talk to Airtel again, I gave a call to Airtel and told them about the situation they said they will send another installation engineer, that's my complaint/case number 1, I got a call from an engineer a few days later, he said he will be at my place at xyz time, he never turned up.
I gave a call to Airtel, told them the what happened, complaint 2 was raised, nothing happened for a few days.
I gave a call again, complaint 3, everytime you raise a complaint an SMS is sent, a few hours after this complaint was raised I received an SMS (as if congratulating) that the issue is resolved although nothing was done about that complaint.
Next day call Airtel again, tell them the story so far, complaint 4 was raised, again, after some time, comes SMS saying my complaint was resolved.
Next day call Airtel, tell them story so far, complaint 5 was raised, after sometime, SMS stating my issue was resolved.
Call Airtel, complaint 6, this time SMS stating the issue was resolved wasn't there, instead I got a call apparently from an engineer, he asks if I am having signal problem, I say, I don't yet have installation, he say's, "ic, my manager asked me to look into signal problem, I am sorry, bye bye", he gives his manager's number and hangs up. I try to call that number several times, no answer.
Call Airtel, complaint 7, unhappy with the representative, I request to connect my call to manager, manager promises to resolve the issue in 24hrs, as usually I get SMS that complaint was registered, manager calls up after a few hours and takes address. After couple of days I get SMS stating engineer will be at your place sometime May-27-2011. No one shows up.
May-28-2011, call Airtel, told story to the representative, he asks me to wait, after waiting for a minute call gets disconnected.
Call Airtel again, tell story to representative, I express my unhappiness, she says she will look into arranging for a engineer asap, asks me to wait, call gets disconnected.
Call Airtel again, tell story to representative, again, he wants to take time to look at my record, this time luckily the call doesn't get disconnected (yet), he asks, which connection do I want, that shows unfortunately he hasn't looked at my record (which should show I made payment more than 4 weeks ago for HD with Recorder connection), I tell him, bhayya, I already chose and paid for the connection, he talks something and then call gets disconnected.

From my colleagues, I heard reports of bad customer service with some other operators, but unfortunately one more operator makes into that horrible-providers list (meaning one less operator to choose from) PATHETIC.
They r theives of the 1st order, b****s have outsourced all activities, please be beware of them as they will take your for a ride post pucrhase. Once they take the money after they behave like conmen, literally disappear. Some fool sitting at a call center which is also outsourced will just keep on speaking one lie after the other. My strong recommendation not to buy airtel DTH, specially from this buch of theives called as Vriti Infocom in Noida

Today I was finally able to contact costumer care at 1.00PM and they gave me a complaint number 8734660. I was assured of resolution by 6.30 PM of 05/06/2011. I had purchased a new airtel HD DTH connection from on 29th May from Central bellendur, bangalore. I must tell you that the service is really pathetic. No one from airtel bothered to call me for installation in the last 10 days. There customer centre is a serious pain. called them 4 times in the last days which resulted in production of one complain number after the other.

Finally after lot of escalation, one representative from airtel gave me a call today (7th June) and assured that they would do the installation by 10:30am. i waited for there representative till 11:15am and also called them 14 times, but as usual no one bothered to pick up the call.

Guys, i recommend you not to purchase Airtel DTH connection. Be assured that your life will become messerable after that. Moreover you would be treated like a football and would be told to co-ordinate with all the departments possible.

The airtel customer care executive promised to provide the connection with 24 hours but until today 18/06/2011 NO installation has been done. On 11th July 2011 I have discontinue English News Topup from my account page but till now this channel available on my account after that I make a call to Customer care and request him (12th July 2011 at 01:13pm) to discontinue this English news Topup, after some time I saw my English Movie Topup not visible in my TV, then I make a Call to Customer care and they told me unfortunetly this Topup package deleted from my account and if require then re-purchase this Topup. My question is I have purchase this English Movie Topup from special offer and now this offer closed so why I repurchase this topup in new price?



I want this special Topup because Without my confirmation this Topup deleted by Airtel Customer care Executive from my account.

    We have lodged the request for the faulty STB replacement to the customer care. That too after shifting the residential house. The new address and all is updated in their DB when the transfer is been made.

    Its been a week time but the problem is still unanswered. I have also written an email too but I haven't got any reply to the email for it.

    Here I am enclosing the copy of the email what I have sent to them.

    Dear Support,

    I hope this time you people will listen to it. I got completely fade off with calling the customer care as well as always raising the new request for the transfer for the connection replacement of the non-working faulty STB.

    I am owing the AirTel Digital TV connection and assigned an Account No. [protected]

    Recently I have raised the Request through the call on 13-April-2010 for the Replacement of the faulty STB and the Request Id given for it is 6928959.

    Later after 2 days on 15-April-2010. I again called and asked about the status of the Request Id 6928959 and you created another Request and given the Id as 6966628.


    Today, till now I am writing this mail the problem has not yet resolved at my end. Also, with this I have received 2 SMS on my cell phone no. stating that

    Dear Customer, you Service request reference no. is 6966628 for "Delay In Resolution (Domino)" has been resolved. If the issue is unresolved please call [protected].

    and another SMS says

    Dear Customer, you Service request reference no. is 6928959 for "STB issues" has been resolved. If the issue is unresolved please call [protected].


    Please note that till now the issue is not at all resolved, I haven't got any call from your side also I am keep try calling on the no. [protected] the phone is ringing continuously but nobody is responding from the another side.

    Note: Recently we shifted our flat to the new location and we already transferred the connection to the new location. And I am hereby listing my new current address below:

    I too have the sympathy with you. AirTel is just the [censored], . Crap . . . fishnet if you'll get stuck to it it demoralize you . . kill you harmony and syphony of your life too.

    Now till today I was keep calling them they haven't answered the call. In call centre guys put me on hold and later disconnected the call.

    Also, they will keep you sending those disturbing spam messages for doing recharge and also those damn crap phone calls for doing the recharge which really sucks when you are in meeting or on Roaming.

    Now, I have a firm belief now that my set top box is not going to be repaired / replaced and also i am going to discontinue this service too.

    Till now after the written mail I didn't recieve any human written e-mail after the acknowledgement mail.

    Now, the Technician from your side has came to our house and they replaced the STB.

    Though, the electricity was not there so they replaced the STB and given their contact no. and told to call them when the electricity will come. They need to activate the STB.

    I am very much satisfied with their pleasant behavior. But, the earlier one technician's behavior really sucks.

    Finally, I got my STB replaced and now looking for the balance being updated. I hope that will also be taken care. Thanks for the support.

        On 10 Mar 11 I got my air tel No. [protected] recharged for Rs. 200at 1065 Hrs for which I got recharge successful message & Trans ID [protected] but I didn't get any Talk time for that. I contacted Airtel customer care center several time but in vain. On 11 Mar 11 I had a conversation with Mr. Imran Bage of airtel customer care requesting to accept my complain for not getting any talk time for my recharge and do the needful. He said that ur recharge is blocked for which he can not accept any complain and he can not do anything except saying sorry in exchange of my Rs. 200. After a long conversation for 26 minutes for which I was charged Rs. 9/-, then only he could provide me Complain No. CBNRA[protected] saying that with in 48 Hrs your problem will be sorted out and ur account will be recharged .

        After waiting for 03 days I contacted again customer care but they again & again asked me to narrate the whole story on my expense as Airtel charge its customers for contacting customer care. Several times they kept me waiting and did not respond till my all the balance was vanished. That time I was at a remote location, due to not having any balance in spite of recharging my phone for Rs. 200/- , for days I could not contact to any one, suffered a lot and bared heavy losses.

        I do not understand what kind of business ethics are being followed by Airtel company. If there is not any Rs. 200 recharge available in company schemes why its system is accepting the recharge saying recharge successful and not giving any talk time in exchange. I fear company might be earning huge revenue through these unfair trade practices. Company has no right to keep my Rs. 200 without providing any talk time in exchange.

        Please look in to the matter and help me to Recharge my account for the said Rs. 200, for which till today I did not get any recharge.

          My name is Rajiv Goel and I have an Airtel Landline no[protected].I also have a Broadband connection on this no.

          Recently I changed my paln to 4Mbps speed but the upload speed is .48Mbps.
          I lodged a complaint with their helpline and the complaint no is 45241664.
          I got a call from their technical team that Airtel has not made any commitment regarding upload speed.

          I had a 2Mbps plan before and the difference in download and upload speed was hardly 10-15%.

          We are also facing same issue here Plan is for 8Mbps but upload is coming 0.5-0.6Mbps which is about 5-10% only

          Its clear fraud by Airtel that they don't say anything to customer about upload speed.

          I have other broadband from different service provider and there we used to get 50% o[censored]pload speed.

          What options we have here to raise this issue.

          i am using airtel broadband in bangalore. 4mbps but download is fine but upload speed is very slow. attached image took around 30sec to upload.
          Bunch of crooks. They change plans without asking or informing. My fiber net gave 24 Maps for 4 months both upload and download and as promised. Suddenly they changedo the upload to 2 mbps. Customer service closed the complaint w/of solving. Don't trust their plans.

          Here difference is Capital B & Small b.

          Yes I also have an airtel dsl broadband. My plan claims to have the internet speed around 24mega bits per second. My download speeds are pretty much always around 22-24mbps but my uploading sucks it's not that airtel claims any amount of fixed download speed when you get a broadband plan it says internet speed not downloading speed so it is given that both download and upload speed will be equal. So all the thanks goes to airtel for providing ### up speeds. And I can assure you this is not going to solve untill and unless you get a fiber connection trust me a fiber is REALLY GOOD and cheap the plan costs the same as dsl one but provides very low latency connection

            Hi,

            I recently logged on the Airtel website to manage my DTH connection. I was pleased to see that Discovery HD, Turbo and Science were being offered. I then subscribed to them. I also subscribed to the Movies Now HD topup. They also showed the FX and Fox Crime topups so i subscribed to the same. When i got home that evening i was kicked to catch up on some HD action and some quality entertainment. To my shock, these channels are not being aired by Airtel as on 15th/16th April 2011. The money for the same has been deducted from my account.
            i have created an image from my account details and the evidence is compelling and i would like to take Airtel DTH to court for fraud. I have proof that the money is deducted and that the channels are not aired.

            the customer call center does not work. no one ever picks the phone. If i text them i get no call back. i would not recommend Airtel DTH to any consumer EVER

            please help me in this regard

              We would like to bring to your kind notice that, we are the customer of Airtel Dish TV network. We are using their service for past 8 Months, Due to satisfactory of channel and clarity, we planned to install another Dish HD TV..

              The customer support Engineers came to our premises and install the network on 11th April 2011. After installation they informed us that all the channels will be activated within 1 hour. But we are highly disappointed that only 15 channels are properly telecast out of 142. Immediately we called the customer support, they informed us that they will send support engineers to rectify the fault..


              From 11th to 14th April we called your support number numerous times, we received the same reply that they will send the person to our house.. Atlast Mr. Senthil support Engineer came to our house to rectify the issue… He didn’t response to us properly and spoke all third grade language.. He doesn’t have any mannerism that to whom he is speaking.. I am an Asst General Manger In my service I didn’t see such kind of staff..

              He informed that due to cable problem the channels are not visible.. With the same cable wire connection only we viewed all the channels before 8 Months. I don’t know how these people find the mistake now.. I asked him from where we can take connection.. Near to our hall bath room is there, he is asking us to take connection from there. I replied him we cannot close the door; he is asking us to open the door and take bath. Is this the proper reply where you give to your customers?

              Please take necessary action against support Engineer Mr. Senthil, he has written and given us that he cannot to do this Job and he don’t know how to do this Job. Kindly find the attached copy written their staff.

              I am not at all happy with their services, so I request you to refund my deposit and cancel the account… or please rectify the issue.

                Airtel — Cummulative Bill

                I am using Mobile office facility of AITEL for a monthly cahrge of 450 Rs which comes in every month bill. Now for the last 3 months airtel has not chare for this service and in this month bill they have clubbed it together and charged for all the 3 months. Which is heavy on my pocket. I talked to Shweta Shah ( supervisor) of call center. She said airtel cant help in this matter and i have to pay the bill in full amout. Since I have used the service, i requested to pay the payment partly.

                This is request to Consumer forum to look into this matter urgently and help me.

                I have changed my bill plan with effect from November but when I received my December bill, there was old bill plan was mentioned with higher charges. I complaint them and they told me waiver amount over phone. I paid the bill. But in January bill same thing got repeated and again after complaing, they told me waiver amount but I told them I have no calculations as how this amount arrives and I asked them to explain them but they themself told me that they will soon revert but nobody came back to me.
                In feburary bill again they sent me wrong bill. And I was offended. I have spoken to their Appeleate offer Mr. Sudhir Pathak also but even he doesn't know the calculated amount.

                Plz advise 'How can a company ask to pay certain amount without telling the customer its detail'. I have spent 4 months in fighting with this company and I am really tensed.

                I am constantly getting calls and sms from them to pay the bill but nobody is ready to justify me how they are asking me this amount.

                I have already paid one month of amount trusting on them that they would have calculated it rightly but now I have lost trust. I cant pay them the random amount that they are asking me!! My bill amount is getting cummulative of 3 months but I cant pay them such a high amount in one go. Nor they justify the amount to me.                 AirTel — unlimited bill from airtel

                when they told me about the plan they dint tell about the plan clearly but now they are giving very big bill for just 15 days they have given 463.40 and now for next month the unbilled account is2620.50 kindly do something regarding this
                I received the bill for Rs. 8588.00. I have been complaining about inflated bills for past few bills. They have raised the bill of the time period when no one was at home. I am complaining every day, no one seems to be interested in understanding the problem. I was charged for the period, when i have requested for shifting. They dont even block the number during the time period.

                Customer Care team and billing team never listens to customers and they dont understand any thing. I have written to nodal offices too, and that didnt even solve the purpose.

                The number in question had been shifted from company name (Kamyab Infotech Pvt Ltd) to personal name (Neha Jain).

                However, by mistake the bill plan was also changed the previous bill plan was DAP 300+Rs 35 STD add on pack.

                The DAP 300 plan is:

                monthly charges Rs 335/-
                local out going Rs 0.50/min(any number)
                std out going Rs 1.00/min(any number)
                local and std sms 0.50/sms(any number)

                FREE/ DISCOUNT:
                300 mins local out going free(any number)
                300 sms local free(any number)
                The plan was changed to
                The SPECIAL FIVE PLAN 249 (which was noticed after the bill was received)

                Please explain why the bill plan was changed without ANY prior intimation, to Ms. Neha Jain, or Kamyab Infotech Pvt Ltd.

                total amt of both the bills are: 658.45+ 804.19 = 1462.67

                I activated a plan of (148) net on phone on 8 june at my phone by harpreet singh, he committed me your net charges is free in all browsing surfing or downloading at all things is free on phone.

                But i saw my bill airtel charged me 500 aprox on the uses of net charges. mr. harpreet told me all the things are free on your phone.

                This time i am facing some problems for the payment of my bill.

                I have activated my GPRS Rs.98 for 2GB plan in the month of September 2010. I have got mail from Airtel Executive for confirming that. Airtel disconnect the service every 6months. Then I again activated it on Feb.
                But this time Airtel people activated the plan with effective month from October 2010 instead of Feb2011.
                I was under impression that my plan will lapse in August. But since it has been wrongly activated from October 2011 it got deactivated early. And I was charged heavy because of that.

                1. How can you discontinue any plan without sending notification/ SMS to the user?? Without plan GPRS is very expensive and cost in 1000s.

                2. Instead of sending multiple reminder for the same I am not getting response from the airtel.
                I mailed at [protected]@in.airtel.com and also to CorporateCustomer.[protected]@in.airtel.com. But all in vain.

                All above conversion was through mail.

                Somebody please take a not on that and solev my issue.

                My name is S.S.Shukla working in Indian Air Force Maharajpura & my no is [protected]. I am using Airtel sim for 12 yrs, facing a lot of wrong deduction by airtel. Many times the amount has been credited in my main account. The details of my complaints which is not yet at all solved & waiting to be solved.
                (1)Reference no is RJKDE[protected] on 10/10/2011 at 10.42am.
                (2)Reference no is CLAWE[protected]on 10/10/2011 at 07.36 am.
                (3)Reference no is CBDMO[protected] on 26/9/2011 at 12.26 pm.

                Also I have recharged of Rs 18 of GPRS plan for 3 days in which downloaded 14mb of application for which the airtel has deducted Rs 226 from my main account on 10 sept2011 or 12 Sep 2011 at 11pm.
                If this continues I will compile to file a case against Airtel in Consumer court to refund Rs 228 the entire amount deducted by you just for no reason the customer is suffering a lot. I want my entire amount to refund now waiting for prompt action from you soon.

                This is to inform you that I have cheated by Airtel and wrongly charged by them of my GPRS usages. I was an loyal customer of Airtel from last 5 years and was always promoting too in my offices and friends to adopt the Airtel only still they have high call rates.
                Recently I have suffered a lot from Airtel for network issue. Every time I was getting SMS form every one that you are having one Missed call from so and so numbers. My Boss, colleagues, friends and family members always used to complain for keeping my phone in not reachable mode. I have complained a lot in customer support and not got any solution till date. Forget this now coming to Major issue.
                My Number [protected] was suspended due to nonpayment of Bill of Rs. 2717 rupees which I had paid on 5th of May 2012 and got my services restored. My Bill date is of 8th of every month to 7th of next month. I have got my bill generated on 7th of May and have got SMS on 9th May that my bill is Rs.617/. Till that date everything was fine. On 10th May 2012 morning I have got an SMS that my unbilled amount is Rs.10000+. I was shocked and contacted customer care that how far this can be possible they have reverted sir we have logged the complain on billing department and our team will contact you back. Have not got any solution on same too. After few days I was getting SMS that you have used huge data so please pay Rs. 2900 for using uninterrupted Internet services. Same I have also informed to Airtel customer care. Finally my services have been barred again on 21st May 2012 of Internet. I have asked the same to customer support and Airtel ARC too they just guided me that I have used 5 GB of data in just 13 days.
                My question is How is it possible to use 5 GB data on phone with 2G speed in just 13 days specially in this 3G world. I have just activated my Internet for checking mails and other stuff and never got chance to consume more than 1.5 GB data in any means in last 2 years on this network. I was finally waiting for Bill which I have received on mail and found that I was wrongly charged in many time intervals in which I was even not turn my GPRS on. I have Goggled the same and found many users have also made several complains on Airtel for wrongly charged for GPRS.
                I have got bill of Approx 5000/. Which is not used by me. Please help to gain my faith in Airtel again.

                My mobile no is [protected], i am using Airtel Post paid plan 125/- rs rental.
                My issue is i have activated 3G plan 250/- rs for 1 gb) in april month. In that month my bill was 1251/-, i have paid tatal bill and 7th may 13-3rd day of billing cycle i have deactivated my 3g plan and activated unlimited 2g plan under 199/- pm rental. They gave meassurace that within 4 hours my unlimited 2g plan will be activate.

                After a couple of weeks i realise that still 3g plan is activated on my monthly plan. I have highlighte this issue to the customer care and there seniors regarding the same before the bill generate cycle. But invain. They have not taken any action, with lot of calls, follow ups, still my 3g is activate, since last 3 months my request is pending and my bill is increasesday by day. I m using 2g net as i requested and they supposed to provide. And the charging me for 3g and also on high rate as my limit is 1 gb as per there plan anfd my requeste pan i unlimited.

                There is a mistake in my bill and I have been trying to rectify it since a long time but to no avail.

                My internet plan was upgraded 4 times in the last month (Billing cycle:[protected] to[protected]

                The initial plan was of 300Mb for Rs 100

                Then I upgraded to 1 GB at 250 for which Airtel charged Rs 150 extra as the difference and provided the extra data

                Next upgrade was 2 GB at 450 for which Airtel charged Rs 200 extra and gave me 1GB worth data

                Same was the story with next upgrade 3 GB at Rs 650 for which you charged me RS 200 extra and gave me 1 GB worth data

                So as per the pattern whenever I upgrade to a plan, Airtel charged me the difference between the new and old plan and provided me whatever extra data I can have based on the new plan


                Now at the final upgrade time I updated to 4 gb @ 750 plan, for double assurance i asked the custmer care executive that it will continue as the old trend of charging the difference and giving me the extra data. As in this case as I have already consumed 3 GB data for 650, I would be getting 1 gb data more and the extra cost would be Rs 100. I was replied in the affirmative but somehow I was given 1GB data but charged Rs 650 for this transaction.


                I have raised this query multiple times with Airtel customer care and have been promised call backs and escalations but nothing has happened so fat, so pls let me know what is to be done.

(cust. id: [protected]) i had made complaint in customer care on dated 08th aug. 2010 about digital tv, i was getting problem in video. error code 2. But customer care has not responded till September. My account was recharged upto sept. 2010.
                    In Oct. 2010 (not exactly i have remembered) customer care had made a call to me that your account is in negative, so recharge it, i[censored] will not be recharged it then your account will be suspended.
                    I had made a recharged for only for account in positive.
                    Till Today Noon 15th April 2011, i have got so many call about recharging the account. but i had told to every time that if my video problem error code 2 shall be solved then i will recharge it.

                    In evening one person from Airtel Digital TV came, after checking he says your setup box is dead.
                    I was socked, i made a call to customer care. Customer care replied that if your setup box is dead then change it & pay money of new Setup Box.
                    I said that i had made complaint in Aug 2010,
                    your person comes on 15th April 2011.
                    I had purchased this in Oct. 2009 & compliant in Aug. 2010. so this is not my mistake if your person comes in April 2011. Hence it (New Setup Box) should be paid by Airtel Side.
                    Please help me.

                    With sorry, I would like to say that I have purchased DTH from a shop of West siang (Along) Arunachal Pradesh on dated18-07-09 naming a shop M/S KIMPA ELECTRONICS, KARBAK LINE, NEW MARKET, ALONG.                         I requested the cancellation of my landline/broadband no. 15767713 Ph. no.[protected] on 29/01/2011 at 10:05 am which has referance no. 1357656. After that airtel called me six times for cancellation confirmation, which I was confirmed and gave the reasons. The last bill of rs. 502/- was paid.

                        But after one month they sent the next month bill of Rs. 665/- . In this regard I called to airtel on 11/03/2011 at 11:45am Complaint No. 1405238 and talked to your executive Priyanka for why airtel not cancelled my connection and sent another bill. She said the phone connection will cancel within 5-6 days and bill amount will revert back called. After that airtel called me for confirmation for cancellation two times. But still now the situtation is the same, they sent the another month bills. I already sent email with these details to this company on 29/03/2011 & 06/04/2011 at [protected]@in.airtel.com.

                        Is this the practice of Airtel People to harass the customer, I totally lost the faith on this compnay. I am planning to disconnect other mobile numbers of this company.

                        AirTel — send fake bills

                        good evening sir
                        i am Ankit Agrawal from Indore.I am a broadband user of Airtel in October ([protected]).
                        but i disconnect my connection in November after after every billing.
                        After disconnection company send me a bill of 1500rs yesterday.
                        i have every proof of broadband disconnection.
                        please help me.
                        Today is 28th April, but still I received the payments calls from airtel office No is[protected] & other different numbers. God knows when airtel connection will disconnect. I think they have one way system that Only connect the connection not disconnect.

                          My mother wanted to change from Dolphin to Airtel. The first time, the Airtel rep said that since the prepaid balance of Dolphin was finished, the shift could not take place (actually, there was a problem at Dolphin’s end due to which the balance was displayed as Rs. 38, despite the fact that there was no balance). Granted that the problem existed. But that problem was tackled and was resolved completely.

                          After resolving this problem, we went to the Airtel people once again. But this time also the request was refused flat-out, saying that Airtel, Vodafone and BPL do not accept prepaid MNP, but would gladly accept a post-paid request (believe it or not)!!! This was also confirmed by my uncle who wanted to change from Idea to Vodafone, but his request was turned down as well. Also the Airtel rep (different to the earlier one) said that we would have to pay Rs. 50 which would not be refundable (we never understood why). And not just this. Both times the Airtel people actually asked us the reason why we wanted to avail the use of MNP, they were like,’Why do you need MNP?? You might as well apply for a new number itself”.

                          When we approached Airtel for the portability for the first time, they even provided us with a form to be filled in to apply for change in provider through MNP. And now, they are refusing to even acknowledge and accept our request. On top of it, whenever we go and approach them, a poster is put up saying that Airtel connection will be provided without changing the number. I mean, to what extent will Airtel go on to deceive consumers? And this is not just with us. Along with us, there were others too whose requests were rejected. My dad told the Airtel rep,’I will see to it that this false poster and request of your is taken down’.

                          Anyone else out there who has had to face troubles due to no reason at all?

                              I have pre paid friends1([protected]) card having daily deduction RS 1.00. Currently Friends3 has been launched by Airtel which has no daily deduction. I had mail & word with Airtel Customer care & Nodal Officer regarding this. I had requested them to change my scheme friends 1to friends 3 or any parallel scheme.But they had regretted my request by telling this scheme is only applicable for new customers & for existing. Airtel has no value of existing customer, they want new customers more & more. This is a fraud.

                              Airtel Prepaid — Unnecessary Daily deduction

                              I am facing this problem from last 8-10 days. I have been charged Rs 1 as a daily rental for FHM Model of the Day air subscription form airtel though i have no service active on my mobile. When contacted to customer service the executive knows nothing about it and disconnects the call in the middle of conversation.I hope this method will work it out for me.

                                        i want to know when we are going for new dth connection , DTH service provider is charging us a sum of rs 1750/-. when i asked about what are these charges for? DTH service provides told that it is not towards hardware provided for connection , it is towards installation, activation etc. Further they told when you are desconnectiong the services you have to return back the hardware and in turn you will not get any refund as hardware belongs to company only. But i saw in case of other dth perrator these charges are trowards hardware also. why airtel is doing so i am unable to undersatnd. kindly tell me the correct ruling toeards this.
