HI,

I am using an airtel number from past 6 months. Last month some executive form airtel called me and asked if i am interested in 3G services. I clearly told him that i am not interested in it and told him not to activate the 3G services. But after some 3 days, 3G services was activated on my number.
After some days i recieved monthly bill in which they has put Rs. 1500 as internet usage charges where as i have not used any internet service.
When i called customer care, they said they will look in to the issue and get back to me in some days. But even after waiting for more than 15 days no one from airtel called me and they did not even send any sms about the updates. When i called the customer care again, they said the complaint is already closed and they can take any action now.
I repeatedly requested them to look into the issue and waive off the extra charges they had levied. But they said they will not do that.

Also i had complained that some service is being activated again and again without my consent and had asked them to de-activate the service. its been 20 days since i complained about it, but i am still getting messages saying that the service is renewd and they are chargong 30Rs every time.

I am not the only person facing this kind of issues. Many are facing problems with airtel.
Earlier i was using a prepaid number. They used to activate services without our consent and charge exhorbitantly for that. If we contact them, they would just say that we had requested for activation of that service and they cant reverse the charges.

Please do something about this. This Airtel people are very rude and they provide wrong information and mislead customers. they will continue to do this until we teach them a lesson.

AirTel — activation of unwanted and non requested service, charges levied for that, rude response from the customer care

Airtel activated Cricket Celebrity Chat(CCC) with any request for such services from my end and deducted INR
On March 3, 2011 at 14:25:14 hrs, I received a message from airtel(sender number: 505050) saying thank you for choosing CCC and 15 bugs has been deducted from your account for this service activation.
I have never ever requested for such services, I was shocked with this message as I did not even know if such services exist. I immediately called 121 followed by 198 for this issue, talked to Yogesh, the first point of contact for me at airtel’s grievance addressal desk. He had no valid, acceptable reply for this issue, in fact he had no answer for why did it happen.
Then he said the only thing he can do then was to stop the service. Since the balance has been deducted, he could not return. I got angry and told him that it’s the company, and not me who is at fault, so you will have to return the amount, just forward the call to your senior executive. He put me on hold to check for his senior and after sometime, he turned back and said that the balance will be credit back to my account in 1 hour.
I waited 2 ½ hours but neither I received any message nor the balance was given back. I tried to call 198 again for 19 times but as soon as I chose the option for complaint, it said,” for information on balance and validity, call 121 and thank you for calling airtel” nd disconnected my call every time.

I called airtel at around 7:45 on 3 march, 2011 again using my friend’s phone [protected], when I entered my number for grievances , it disconnected the phone every time but then I entered her number only for that too. It got connected easily with almost no waiting time, what magic!!
This means only that my number was blocked to receive calls (dialed to 198) by the customer care.

I asked him to divert the call to the senior executive “Raghu”(as far as I remember), as my patience was challenged enough by that time. The senior executive was rude , arrogant and seemed to be in no mood to hear that the company was at fault. Since I was angry, he told me balance will credited believing my words without any check, as if he was doing favour to me. In age of computer people say since it will take time to find out truth I take your words. Disgusting reply garnished with rudeness!!
I told him to escalate the issue and tell me the reason behind such behavior then he said if it is done the amount won’t be credited immediately, he was trying to crush my voice and I think did not want to unveil his rude behavior. My money was given back to me as a favour, and they showed as if they had done no mistake.

Company like airtel cheat on people for such small amount of money, disgusting and shameful. While charging for something, immediately they deduct the amount but while returning money, they face technical problems, don’t do it even in 6 hours.

Waste of time for me,
Attack on my patience, I could not concentrate on my work,
Mental torture,
Above all I would not have noticed, and called , they would have easily eaten my money.

I want written apology from the company, apology from those employees and written assurance that this won’t be repeated ever .
I want strict action to be taken against Yogesh and the senior executive (Raghu am not sure, its easy to find out his name for airtel, by tracking calls from my phone for 3rd march,2011 around 7:45 pm) and want in written what action was taken against them, with a say in that if that is not a proper action.
I want strict action to be taken against airtel for using unfair means of earning money.
Also I want optimum compensation for the mental torture and wastage of time I went through, so that from next time onwards the company should feel ashamed of doing it.

AirTel — Extra charge for service not used

Airtel will charge on GPRS connections without your knowledge. And even after cancelling the same, amount will not be waved off. They promise to do so, but they will not. Call customer care, you will get stories.

    Again I have faced the same pathetic experience with Airtel Digital TV, this time for HD Plus channel Top-Ups, I have just added the HD-Plus Top-up from my airtel digital TV login, once I activated I am just checking in my TV only one channel is coming out of 3 channels.
    I have just checked with customer care, (that guy not able to speak in English, he is telling honestly he knows only Hindi and Marathi, see what an excellent customer care airtel is having)
    He told to remove the dish cables from my set-top-box and reattach the cables; again I was facing the same issue.
    the next day morning I was asking the customer care, they told they need 72 hours to resolve the issue and they are telling they need to realign the dish for single channel purpose and it’s also chargeable basis.

    At front I understand only one thing AIRTEL IS NEED MONEY AND THEY ARE NOT READY TO TAKE CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER.
    THEY ARE HAVING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CARE!!!!

      Dear Sir

      I have Post Paid Mobile connection of Airtel for the last 12 years. My no is [protected].
      On 31st March I sent a SMS to 1900 requesting for Porting of my services from Airtel to Vodafone.
      I promptly received Unique Porting ID that is supposed to expire on 14th April'11. The Unique Porting ID was forwarded by me to Vodafone Representative. Now I am receiving calls from Softage India (I don't know how this company) saying thet the Unique Porting ID given is not being accepted by the system saying that " this Unique Porting ID is already in use by another mobile no".

      Please advise how this problem can be resolved.

        i want to make sever complain against Mr.Charanpreet customer care executive representing on behalf of your prestigious company.He could not satisfy our queries nd further put us on hold many times also talked to us arrogantly. My second complain is that i payed recharge amount of Rs.251 for my prepaid no [protected] from Sachdeva enterpsise Azadpur New Delhi.The retalor didn't gave any information that Rs.251 amount will be credited 4 internet surfing nd not call recharge. i can explain the whole thing if one of your senior manger speak to me on my no [protected]. i would be highly thankful if you can credit this amount for call usage instead of inter net surfing.This mistake was purely from the retalor side which lead to loss of my money. waiting for ur reply.

        Airtel — credit reversal

        I have converted from post paid to prepaid scheme of Airtel mobile no. [protected] in Delhi. in the month of July 2008 and received a credit bill of Rs.129 but after my too many reminders I did not received my cheque of Rs. 129 till date.Please advice me what to do.

          I am an airtel DYH customer. I have paid 325/- for south mega pack. the customer care operator informed that i can enjoy the pack for 1 month. he already told that all the past plans are de activated. He clearly told me that i need not pay any extra amount for one month. but shockingly after 15 days, my connection was discontinued. when asked the concerned people, thay told that i am under daily dwduction package. also they adviced me recharge again with 325/-.
          My point is that , there are 1000s of cusr omers. airtel is making money by doing this type of cheap tricks. These people are worse than road side beggers. They are not giving proper response when i am calling the cust. care.

          Dish TV — deduct extra amount

          Please see attachment.

          There is clearly written that amount has been charged only for silver pack and explorer. They can deduct amount only for Explorer and silver pack.

          But they had deduct my amount for Explorer, Extreme Entertainer and silver pack. So whatever charges they have been deducted for Extreme Entertainer they must be transfer in my account and renew my due date.

            Hello Sir,

            I have applied for new Broad Band Connection from Airtel on March 28, 2011. Acknowledgement No is CEF NO CH 1150758. A person from Airtel Marketing named "Balaji D (mobile: [protected])" have reached my home and collected Rs 1099 for a connection. He told that the connection will be start available in with in 2 days.

            After 2 Days only they given some cables but not connected with broad band service. I have called Mr Balaji and asked how long it will take. He given one more contact number [protected] (Mr Parasu Ram) for the connection enquiries. However i have called that number asked for the status, he keep says that "We will come tomorrow", but so far nothing done.

            Now no one is picking the phone. We are not sure what happened to our money.
            Please do the needful for us.

              Dear Sir/Madam,

              I am Airtel DTH customer (Cust id – [protected])

              I was holding one connection. Since 30th March 2011 my DTH service interrupted due to some technical problem (ERROR CODE B001).

              I have informed the same by calling call centre .however; so many times line got disconnected by call centre executive... Few executive confirmed that engineer will visit my place soon every time provide me a new case ID (6558581,6652380,6682501)

              After so many attempts, I was trying to put disconnection request through call centre.. However, they are not taking my request for disconnection..

              Summary of problem:
              Call centre lines are not working properly
              Executives are disconnecting lines, if resolution is not available.
              Executives are not able to respond to queries - Trained executives should be available for proper responses as promised before installation, As promised before installation, customer satisfaction is first priority. Now it’s became pain for us.
              Please help us to get proper resolution for restore our service back or permanent disconnection.

                25.03.2011 night nearly 10 o clock I call raj tv cini quiz program.
                call is going on and a lady told pls wait you will be connect soon with studio,she was continuosly told this words for 13 minutes suddenly the mobile line disconnected.I was very shocked because Rs130 is minus in my mobile account.
                I thought the minute counted after starting the talk with studio person,so I am waiting on the line but after 13 minutes
                Rs 130 (Rs 10/minute) was minus in my account.I kept Rs 130 only in my account, so after 13 minute the phone line disconnected otherwise toomany amount will be lose for me.I call Airtel customer care for this problem ,he say we are doing correct and we cannot returned the amount.I am upset and ask the details for network changing , but he say thank you for calling and cut the line.second time this is repeated and third time I call the customer care but he block the customer care line for my mobile number.
                In 13 minutes only one caller talk with studio nearly 30 seconds,but I am waiting 13 minutes .The programer say repeatly pls call and win Rs 45,000.00 nobody call him,then why he did not talk with me?
                Where did the phone amount going?and who is the response? Or otherwise is this my mistake?(because I don't
                know the rules & regulation for this programme)
                Any possibility for refund my amount?.pls give me the kind advice.

                  Airtel Broadband customer.

                  I have taken a Rs.599 limited plan, 2GB transfer, as I use Internet on phone.
                  I never use more than 1GB in a month.
                  AIRTEL Bill says I have used 6GB, and my bill is Rs. 1337.

                  They waived off Rs. 600 after many fights and threats.

                  2nd Month, Bill comes to rs. 830. In this month, I used Internet for only 8 days, that too not more than 2 hrs a day.

                  How can I use 3GB in 8 days at the speed Airtel gives (30kbps max)???

                  I complained 2 times, and my phonecalls were cut by the irritating Customer care.
                  I asked for disconnection 3 times. Noone has come forward.

                  What do I do now?

                  They don't disconnect, nor solve my problem.
                  Where do i go?

                  AIRTEL SUCKS. Worst Service. Fraudulent Billing.

                  Airtel Broadband — Fraudlent Billing

                  We received the fraud bill of the Internet connection which we never used So we should have been charged with the minimum amount but what Airtel sent us was the bill of Rs31000/= Also on arguing they are sending people and legal notices to pay the balance. they are only giving one reason that it shows on their record that you have used it. Me and my wife are retired senior citizens from the Government services and they are threatening us to pay the bill by sending notices.



                  No consequence so far and we are looking for all possible help. Please assist any way you can.

                    Hi,

                    My name is Ankush Sharma and my number is [protected]. I have called Airtel customer care on 5th April2011 at 23:20. I was speaking with a customer care executive (Kulwant Singh) and he was unable to resolve the query in fact he was not even able to speak properly. When I asked him to transfer the call to the supervisor, he answered that they do not have supervisors available at night. After many requests he transferred the call to the supervisor (Akhil Singh). Akhil Singh refused to talk to me in my preferred language (English), he replied that its a domestic call center and we only speak Hindi, which he shouldn't be doing. When I asked couple of questions from him he abused me and hung up the phone.


                    I would request you to please listen to the call and take an appropriate action against Airtel.

                      I brought up an airtel digital tv connection just because of India pak Cricket Match on 30th Mar 2011,
                      the set top box was installed on 29th Mar 2011, but till date it has not been activated . I have complaint on the customer care helpline many many times, and called upon the installation executive ,many times but still till date 5th Apr 2011 there is no response from the Service provider. or any of the executives to solve our problem. I have already paid the entire amount and no issues have been pending from my side for the service provider.

                        I am to inform you that inspite of repeated complaint lodged by me telephonically time and again to the representative sitting on your customer care, Digital TV connection is not working properly for last week’s time. I am facing a great deal of difficulty on this account. Sufficient balance is standing in my account of the said connection but I am failed to understand how Airtel company is dealing with the customer in a very casual manner and not heading to my request. I am compelled to approach you for the said purpose.
                        Airtel is therefore requested to kindly look into the matter personally and get my TV connection set right with in period of three days, failing which I will be at liberty to file a suit against you in the consumer forum.

                          I had bought a airtel SIM card(mobile no.[protected] Sim No.[protected] in ther month of Janurary 2011 from canopy sale.I submitted my license id in the name of SAJAL SINGH.Recently last week I lost my above said SIM. So, I went to the local airtel care office to get a duplicate sim. They denied to issue Duplicate SIM stating that the SIM I bought had been issued in the name of some other person naming VIKAS.Two days back one person came to my home asking about the No. [protected] saying that he had lost his mobile three months back and placed a complaint of his lost mobile then POLICE placed his mobile IMEI no. on survelliance and tracked on 30th march 2011.From there they got information about the running no. on that mobile they inquired from airtel office and office person said that this SIM had been issued in the name of SAJAL SINGH (which I never bought).This is very disgusting and dissappointing that MY no has not MY ID docs and some one who is using stoled mobile contain the SIM which I never bought contain MY ID.I wonder how this can be .I request to look in this matter ASAP.

                            Wow, what a customer care, now speed is between 30 - 50 (avg 46.8) kbps all the times.
                            Great support from airtel presence. Yes you presence but just to misguide users and nothing else.
                            Even after 24 hours of you reply, nothing happened except speed gone to worst.
                            Thank yo for this blunder(full) support.
                            I am gonna switch back to BSNL if no one will reply from airtel within 24 hrs and will tell exact time resolve it.

                            The guy asked me many questions same as I have already given with my complaint (just to bother me so I should cut the call) but after a long conversation I managed to get my call transferred to senior department. The senior department was more NOOB than the junior department and helped me no way except given an another n0 12118 to contact.

                            Ok, I contacted 12118 then,

                            This guy showed some sympathy and then said to contact me on 121.

                            WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

                            Airtel must understand that consumers are not puppets, they can play with tyeing a connection-rope. The whole airtel customer care is making me fool and just trying to get my call cut anyhow as you its clear.

                            I HAVE NOT EXPECTED THIS FROM BHARTI TELEVENTURES, IF MAJOR PLAYERS WILL BEHAVE LIKE THIS, SURE WE GONNA SWITCH TO NEW PLAYERS SOON.

                            cz i have also purchased 3g sim of airtel and paid Rs 950 for 1 month pack...but most often i get worst speed...
                            if this will occur again and again then i m going to switch some other net service providers. and yess! one more thing i will suggest all of my emplyees

                            Airtel is making us fool by doing false promises.

                            Hi, i was satisfied with airtel, and at last they showed me the worst part.
                            Few days back my 3g sim started acting like 2g lol, 100kbps is d/l and u/l speed.
                            Now, i have tried to contact customer care, same thing is happening, they give other no, other give some other no, some other give other no, vice versa. Tired. Will stop the 5+ year old connection as 3g support tech team is the worst and i can bet they even don't know what is 3g and is its purpose.

                            Very NOOB 3G support, train your noobs Airtel.

                              Airtel have de-activated my prepaid number [protected] without any warning, and cheated me of the remaining balance. I have had this number for many years, initially as a Jodi, and when Airtel changed rules as individual numbers. I called 198, and they asked me to go to one of their showrooms/service centres. I went to Masoodpur near Vasant Kunj, and they claimed that their systems are not working, and therefore are unable to help! Why are Airtel treating their customers like this? Who should I turn to for help?

                                  Hello ,
                                  I am receiving at least 2 calls dialing on my number from the recovery people of airtel for my broadband connection number is [protected] ( unpaid bill) which was discontinued on 1st November . I had raised a complaint earlier about this bill as I didnt use the broad band services after 1st Nov and also requested to cancel it in October only and got a confirmation from the customer care executive on it also still Airtel created the bill . That complaint was resolved in the month of Jan'2011 and I got a confirmation from the airtel that you wont receive any call from recovery or anywhere regarding this bill as it was a wrong bill generated and they have cancelled it . But still everyday I am receiving calls from Airtel about it payment when I say them its being settled they don't listen and talk very badly as if i have done some crime or what .
                                  I am really pissed of this now as its being more then 4 months I am dealing with this and really feel that its such a worst company and nobody should ever take connection from this . Its services are so bad and people who are on customer care don't have manners to talk also .

                                  Please take this into consideration and take action accordingly as I don't want these calls on my number as its not a matter for few hundred rupees but its a matter of what is right and wrong . I wont pay anything to airtel for this fake / wrong bill which they have generated

                                    I am also facing same issue from AIRTEL, they are like ravishing any one openly .
                                    Bcz u can never contact AIRTEL directly as u would never get connected to Customer care, iff in case u get connected they show us how help less they are nd they can't do any thing .
                                    But they can do one thing, can cheat any Prepaid customer.

                                    When I asked for number porting to anther service provider, they ate up all my balance in Prepaid, such a disgusting AIRTEL.

                                    I have a post plan. All of a sudden in 2 years I get a hiked up billing internet charges. One of the executive called me and informed regarding this and suggested to call customer care and on calling executives there are always helpless in doing anything. I requested them to ask someone get back to me on this issue.BUT CALL NEVER CAME. After 4 days I again called customer care and inquired again regarding not getting a call back, they said we will waive off 250 rs. from your billing. MY question is WHY discount if airtel has not done any fraud in billing.Now today when i call them again and was rude to them of not getting any call back. In 2 mins I got a call back and executive was rude and said we are not authorised to give any call back and waive off any billing charges.I informed them the total episode that happened in last fifteen days then I was told they were trying to help you.Total CRAP they gave me.

                                    The is Srinivasa Reddy L, Today(6 Oct 2016) morning have made below 3 transactions in betweem 6:00 AM 7:00 AM through my airtel app and reconized that first 2 transactions went fine bet not thrird one Rs. 150.00 recharge to +91 [protected].

                                    I was experienced same kind transaction failures earlear also, but not deposited the amout back to my bank account. It seems to be a big disgusting from the airtel and other gateway transactions. Even I had a bad experice with response from customer care +91 [protected].

                                    Pavan Kumar V/Ravikumar S has also confirmed that transaction has not received the Airtel.

                                    I have made the recharged transaction on 06 Oct 2016 with the amount of Rs.150.00 but the amount is deducted from my account and but not credited into my Airtel account +91 [protected] on 6 Oct 2016.

                                    same day (6th Oct 2016 )I have communicated with the Airtel customer care and come to know the deducted amount Rs. 150.00 will be reverted back with in 5 to 6 working days, but still today amount is not credited into my bank account.

                                    Today morning I have called the Airtel customer care +91 [protected] and spoken with Purnima Uyuri then she confirmed the amount Rs.150.00 will be credited in into my account on/before 24 Oct 2016 at 7:30 PM.

                                    So, I hope you can understad the issue and resolved the issue ASAP to credit the amount Rs. 150.00 ASAP in my back account.

                                      I have received a bill for 4k+ this month of which around Rs. 3500 is for 3G usage for 4days. My problem is that the tariff plan they chose to bill me for is "pay as you go" - 30p/10kb. I never received an option to chose a tariff plan. The way it goes is - first you send 3G to 121 and the service gets activated, then again you send 3G to select the tariff plan. I sent about 4 SMS after the first one to get this option, but I never received any info on selecting a tariff plan. Then I tried calling their service # 121 to chose a tariff plan the very day, as I had some work to be done using this 3G service. However, 9 attempts could not get me through to a person. As you can see the same in the attached document. I cannot describe the amount of trauma this has costed me and the time taken over calls to explain the customer service what my problem is. The airtel customer service informed me on the 10th that the charges will be revoked in the next bill and that I will not have any disruption of service. But a few days later the opposite happens and now the Airtel agent says that he hasnt even said that. I am deeply frustrated and hope that someone can help me get the best o[censored]nfair trade by Airtel.

                                      I have been having the same complaint. Despite my constantly asking for the 675 Plan where the usage is capped at 2000, I have been put under the INR 100 plan without any information to me. The call center has been unable to resolve the issue for the past one month. I find out today that the company has now registered me under the INR 200 plan since last month. Despite my checking with Airtel constantly and they assuring me that I was under the 675 plan.

                                      Also, they told me that while activating any 3G plan, your edge plans would be deactivated. I found out a week later when they billed me for my edge plan along with my 3G service.

                                      I have currently written to the nodal office in Karnataka regarding the issue. I shall keep you posted on the happening. I believe there are lots of complaints against the Airtel billing procedures for 3G. We should find more people with these issues and take it up with them collectively.

                                      I am also facing similar issues on account of excessive 3G billing. I am an Airtel customer since 2008. My number is [protected]. Earlier I used to find that the response of airtel to customer grievances was pretty good. However these days its pretty bad and even the nodal officer and appellate does not respond to grievances.

                                      My problems started when I enabled 3G service on my phone on March 18th. Since then there have been erratic deduction on my account balance. When I called customer care,
                                      I was told that several deductions were made, but they did not know why those deductions
                                      were made. My usage of 3G was very minimal and even when there was no usage there were deductions done.

                                      I requested customer care to reverse the deductions that were done wrongly. Now they are claiming there were no deductions. However I know that from March 18th there were several deductions. I clearly remember a deduction of approximately Rs 175 that happened around 25th of March. When I spoke to customer care they too confirmed that there was a deduction but said the reason for that was not updated on their system.

                                      I am certain that a lot of such deductions happened on account of wrong billing of 3G service.
                                      I have been contacting cusomter care, nodal officer and appellate officer. The response is so pathetic.
                                      They just say wait for 48hrs and after that they completely ignore the complaint.
