I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel — Not start customer care service last 20-25 days

My airtel customer care service has been closed permanently by airtel. I am trying to reach customer care exective but whenever i call both numbers 198 or 121 so i don't talk with executive.I am facing this problem last 20-25 days.

If this service is not start in 5 days so i will take action against airtel.I request you please sove this problem without delay as soon as possible.my AIRTEL contact number given below.

My Airtel digital TV connection no. is [protected]. My Set Top Box has gone out of order no. of times during the past 7 months. On numerous complaints to customer care, area service manager, area distributor, the STB was replaced, even replaced STB failed in a couple of days of replacement, which was again replaced after lot of calls to area manager etc. I don't know for how many days the replaced STB will give me service. Distributor service is very poor. Secondly I had got economy plus sports scheme. In their literature they show Ten sports as subscribed channel under this scheme but I am yet to view this channel on my TV. When I called customer care, they informed they are refreshing my services & I would be able to view Ten sports But still TV screen show channel not subscribed to.It appears that after so many complaints the services being rendered by Airtel digital TV is only to fleece the customers.

Airtel DTH — CUSTOMER CARE NOT SOLVED COMPLAINED

I am AIRTEL DTH user but I am not satisfied with the attitude of the customer care executive .He said to me to solve the problem with the paid service engineer,and that he will not provide me AIRTEL DTH service engineer.CUSTMER ID [protected] .

Description: I have take a connection of digital tv on 12th Aug. 2010
& there was some problem in my set top box, i had registered a
complain[protected] on 9th Aug 2011 & time give by the costumer
care for engineer was 10th Aug 2011 & as per the rules set top
box comes in the 1 year warranty period but till 15th no engg. had
attend the complain on 15th again i register complain[protected]
& on 16th when engg. came every body engg. & costumer
care are saying this is out of warranty & you have to pay 350
INR to start the services.& I have explained & requested
the costumer care at least 25 times.My tv still now is not
working.
Request you to please assist on the same.

Airtel Digital TV — even after paying for a year no connection

I took airtel digitel Tv connection on 2nd august 2010. THe package included free dish antenna and a set top box. But they refused to install dish antenna as there was a coomon dish antenna in the tower i was living in and promised to install the same for free if I move to another place. Now after one year i am asking them to install the dish for which was eligible at the time of taking connection, they are simply refusing .
over that despite of paying them for full one year they have stopped services. for 6 hrs I talked to their different customer care executives. each one has different stuff to tell, I feel severely cheated by airtel. now for their fault also they are sending technicians to whom we have to pay. this is pathetic. May be i am not able to express myself properly here. but strongly suggest people never go for any of the airtel services. it is very true that i as a customer am helpless.
when i moved in this apartment complex where i am currently, airtel had a monopoly , we were not allowed to take any other dish tv service from any other company.

Airtel Digital TV — UNAUTHORISED DEDUCTION OF ACCOUNT BALANCE

I was having balance of Rs.325 in my digital tv account no. [protected] instead at about Rs.26 now . From 13th, August 2011 till now there continuous balance deduction out of knowledge.
And I have made complaint previously but no result.
I am fed up with this don't know what to do with this case?

What can I request to Airtel is please take your digital tv gadget back because I can't afford to waste my time to rectify all mistakes due to technical fault by airtel?

So please make me free from such harassing services I Could Opt for another.....
I don't understand from where you find trick to cheat customers.

I never thought airtel will give this type of hopeless service to the customer. I had face the issue of no signal on 22nd -August 2011.I lounge a compliant, first time a Lady Called Madhuri spoke to me and ask me Rs. 100 service charge, to solve the problem after our argument on that she left the call without any answer. Second call received by Mr Santosh on same day he inform that service Engg will solve the issue by 23.08.2011 at 7pm
today we again called at their end and Mr Pankaj informed us that "your complaint was solve by telephonic support" and cut the line without any answer, But still i m not able to view any channal on my TV

Totally I had raised 3 requests and with out my notice all the requests were closed with out the technician checked the issue. I had paid for all these days and I am really very sorry to say, they are not serving any service to me.

If they cant resolve the issue, kindly help me getting my money back so that I can approach to the other service provider who can respect the customer and provide the prompt response.

I too have problem with the airtel customer executive.
I tried atleasst 10 times to executive but they didnt solve problem yet.
Most of time they ask us for hold and then they disconnects the phone if they dont have answere
this is worst thing. shame airtel

My set top box stopped working after an year I paid for Technical engg to get it to work & I have to pay Rs 200 every two months to get my connection to work...but this time it crossed all the limits...On 26th july it stopped working, I called the Engineer paid him 100rs and on 3 Aug I recharged for 600, On 7 th Aug I again stopped working, , , , This time the engineer said he has fixed the antennae and set top box & charged Rs 410 and on 13th August again It stopped workin .This time I had lost my patience & told them I am not going to pay a single paisa to get it to work and I got a message that Ur concern has been resolved...I was so pissed off...I wrote to Nodal Officer & received a call from Customer Care that they will take care of the concern and I told them that I am not paying for it & they agreed...To my shock on 27th Aug I get a message That I need to recharge ...Those Liars had deducted money from my account without even informing me...

Worst customer support I never seen before.

I activated Star movies, Star Cricket, ESPN, Star Spaorts but til now not working. I spoke to your customercare executives for 10 times from yesterday to today.

I think I wasted Rs.100.00 for phone bill.

Please resolve as soon as possible otherwise refund the money as soon as possible.

Airtel Digital TV — No Activation of Service

There are way too many complaints to state this in brief. To start with

1. The installer arrives on site without proper installation material inspite of being forewarned of all site restrictions, like presence of grill. Hence proper mount and brackets are needed for installation which the installation did not carry and whatever he carried were broken. Installation got delayed by 2 days because of this.

2. After the installation was done @ 5pm, the installer informs the call center about the activation and all information is provided to activate the service. Call center informs that the service will be activated by 8pm. Nothing happens.

3. After making a series of phone calls, multiple agents provide inconsistent information for activation time - 15mins, to 1 hr to 24hrs. No one knows what is going on and some agents do not even want to understand the problem.

4. Next day a commitment is given @ 3pm (Rupesh at # 12148) to resolve the problem by 6pm (beyond 24hrs since installation). At 5pm i get a message saying that instalaltion is scheduled for next day @ 9pm.

Rupesh is then unreachable and refuses to take the call. Multiple calls to agents - Prashant and Shrishail on 12148 repeats the story that installation team will call in 5mins but 1 hour passes and no one from installation team has called.

If this is the kind of pathetic customer service, then the only option is to complaint.
I wanted to speak to an incharge/manager is is responsible for Airtel customer support but all agents say that no one is available. How can a big national operations be run without any higher management support?

Please look into this pathetic and ridiculous service and address appropriately.
In the meanwhile, I had no option but to cancel the service and ask for a full refund.

- An extremely dissatisfied customer.

Airtel Digital TV — Short Amt and very bad service

I have purchased or upgraded my exiting connection by paying Rs 2250 through their IVRS and payment done through credit card. When no body turned up for replacing the Set Top box I lodged a complain but complain was closed without even contacting me and instead my existin connection was recharged with only Rs 2000 instead Rs 2250. When I tried for local dealer either my call was diverted or not attended or attended with very poor response after waiting for 3 to 4 minutes.
Now I want my money back in full as I don't want to suffer again and again. same was the case during first installation. Govt privatised this service for better service but these people are very negligent, do not care for customet at all. Me and my family was got borred due to their very bad service and not able to see any channel for last four days. I request for return of my money with compensation for my agony, bad service with cost. Thanks
Airtel digital TV is very bad in customer service. People handling technical problem is also not having proper knowledge of problem and error code.
I am getting error code 6 for more than 30 hrs now and given several complain because they close the complain without even confirming from the client that problem has been rectified or not. This shows the degree of empathy towards the customer service.
I advise people not to purchase Airtel Digital TV set top box else you also will suffer the same. Earlier I was using Dish TV and having better experience and planning to switch over to Dish Again.
I thing my problem is STB ID and VC no they have not yet updated.

Airtel Digital TV — I have paid for HD set top box on 30.08.2011 but service is not started even after 5 Days

I have paid for upgradation of set box to HD on 30.08.2011 after following and giving complain several time installation was done on 2.09.2011 after 4 days. They have not updated new STB Id and VC No. Reason I am getting error code 6 since 4 o clock from 2.09.2011, have talk several time means more than 10 times but they close the complain without any enquiry. They don't have any empathy towards customer and very very poor customer handling.
Call center person either they don't have expertise or they don't have enough option to sort out the customer grievances.
I request the Airtel authority to refund the full money. I am already having Dish TV connection I am switching over to Dish TV.
Please refund the amount within 7 days else legal action shall be initiated at your cost.

Many time they take complain many time they disconnect the call, many time they will say your call is already registerred our engineer will visit but no body will visit This is I know from last 1 year and 3 month please beware from Airteldigital TV, Dish TV is even better
I have also similar problems and my problem is, it is showing an error like "your view card is not a valid airtel view card ... " . I have called 3 times to customer care and not got a valid solutions for this problem.
Card Recharged on 30 th August..But Services Resumed on 12th September...Requested to increase validity date..My Account No is-[protected]..

Airtel Digital TV — support is very bad

Dear Sir.
We buyed a AIR-TEL DIGITAL TV on 19-Sep-2011.with in 24 hours instalation is over. But till know i didn't get connection.i call more then 20 times in customer care there is no proper reply. Every time with in 4 hours you will get connection there are saying. MY Customer ID-[protected].
Pl solve this problem.
