[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — HELL CUSTOMER CARE

I have purchased Airtel Digital TV on 28th of August 2011 and my customer id is [protected] .
But i realized the big mistake i made by choosing such a irresponsible company as DTH service provider.
I have following concerns:
1. Some time some channels shows the Connection lost screen (Error Code B0001).
2. In rain as well in drizzling it does not respond and hangs.
3. Whenever I called customer care they give me same stupid solutions :

* Restart your set top box.
* Unplug your cable and reconnect.
* Remove any obstacle in front of Dish.


Really a very bad DTH service provider.I suggest never buy Airtel Digital TV.

Airtel DTH — Don't purchase Airtel DTH Poor service and worst product

I purchased Airtel DTH in september 2010, but i have never seen such a poor service with Airtel, I have faced problem of poor signal arroud 20 time and each time they have taken 3-4 day to resolve this.I suggest every body not to purchase Airtel DTH, go for tata Sky.

AIRTEL DTH SERVICE — Zee TV Hindi not being received

My customoer Id No.[protected]. I have subscribed for one year package and one year Zee TV (Hindi) additional connection from November 2010. Unfortunately it was disconnected (Zee Hindi) from 09.04.11. I have informed the same to the local dealer at Kadapa. Sofar no action taken. Pl rectify immediately.

i truly agree, airtel digital tv is one of the worst digital tv channel to start with. First you will get screwed by trying connecting their customer care nos. and second the executives who attends the call are either unware of the resolution or dont have the courtsey to deal with customers. I did a big mistake by opting for airtel digital tv. TATA SKY is far better both in service as well as customer care. Conncetion booking no. 15580982

Airtel HD DTH Connection — No signal and very bad service and response from Airtel people

We have taken Airtel SD DTH connection, after 2-3 days we are No signal issue,its already 1 week over none of the airtel customer care person or service engineer is come to reslove the problem..Even the response from airtel people is very bad.So no i am decided to disconnect the airtel DTH connection and thro it out...

i have been complaining on airtel costumer care sinc 24th of march 2011.
i had applied for the port facility. the main reason was that i was not happy with the current plans provided by airtel.
i was then offered a plan according to which my call charges had to be 10p AtoA
&30p for the rest local calls.and for that a daily rental of Re.1 had to be deducted from my account. and the plan was promised to be on within 48hours.
1stly:i did not get any such plan on my phone till date.
2ndly:i have complained again and again,but am not getting any feedback to my complains.
3rdly:i am always asked to hold on the line while i am to be connected to the senior supervisor, but as and when i am kept on line my phone is disconnected.
4thly:without any confirmation my call rates are changed from 50p per minute to 1p per minute...i have never applied for any such scheme.

i request you to please take care of this problem of mine. or if its not possible then please do let me know so that i can change my connection.

I had purchased airtel digital tv through online on 12-04-11 through online and i had made payment by that instant itself,their one of the Executive Ruby sharma said that if i made the payment it will be deliverd and installed by next day itself.But till date there is no reponse from airtel.MY ref number is 3357409.

Airtel Digital TV — No refund despite many follow ups

I am Narender Singh Uppal, I had purchased Airtel Digital TV Customer ID No. [protected]. Since the installation of Set top box, I started facing problems with regular breakdown of settop box and LNB. My experience with their customer service is so pathetic, I am no more interested in dealing with such an organisation. There were multiple failures in set top box and Dish LNB that I have lost count now. I have had multiple communications telephonic as well through emails and every time I received an autoreply from them that my complaint is being looked into and will be resolved to my satisfaction which never happened. Finally after a lot of mental harrasment and torture at their hands I decided to ask them to take back their substantard product (with equally poor service) and refund the amount back to me.

I have never seen such a shameless organisation and rude staff who does not have any sensitivity towards senior citizens like me. Can you plaese help me in filing a legal case against them?

Good luck if you choose to subscribe to any of Airtel's services/products. Mr Mittal and associates are not interested in hearing consumer complaints.

Airtel Digital TV — Extremely poor and irritating customer after sales service

Hi,

This is to let you know that i have filed a complaint regarding "Bad reception quality of the signal" on 3rd of April. Since then the complain have been fraudulently closed twice without taking any kind of steps whatsoever towards providing me a solution.

The problem has not been solved yet but still i am receiving all kind of calls from customer care ( [protected]) asking for all kinds of details that i have already shared with them at the time of booking the connection.

Today, the problem has worsened further instead of getting solved as all of the channels have started showing either "No Signal" screen or "Unsubscribed Channel" screen.

However, the package which i have subscribed is a 3 Months Package being sold with "Sony Bravia 32 Inches LCD TV" with effect from 16 March 2011.

CC guys claimed that the problem will be solved by today 3 PM. However no one has turned up till now nor anybody has even bothered to call me and ask about the problem.

It is becoming an extremely unpleasant and irritating experience with Airtel Digital TV and if the problem is not resolved withing next few days, i will be left with no option than to switch over to some other DTH vendor.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Customer Care - A Big Joke

Airtel Digital TV customer care has become a big joke for me. Whenever i call the customer care, i have to listen a really long list of what to press to what to happen. Really a big joke. Customer is facing a critical problem and and still he has to wait for the list to finish. Once the list is finished, the customer gets a SMS saying "for any queries please send the SMS by typing "HELP"".

At this point i really feel that they are making a fun of the customer. As if he has done some grave mistake by choosing them as the Service provider and now it is his fate to suffer.

If any Airtel team is reading this, i would like to tell them that i won't be suffering a lot as i got the connection free of cost with my TV set. Rather they would lose a subscriber.

Airtel Digital TV — FRAUDE AIRTEL DIGITAL TV – BUYING A AIRTEL DISH IS LIABILITY – PATHETIC CUSTOMER CARE

I am using airtel digital TV from more than 2 years.

Complaint No 1:
• I want to transfer the Connection/Dish from Delhi to Mumbai. I called on 16th March 2011 (Time: 7.40 PM) to Customer care for dismantling the dish so that I can carry it with me to Mumbai. He took my request and sent a man for the same. Also he told me that your billing is stopped from now till I will again call the customer care for connection of the dish .
The dish uninstalled in Delhi after paying Rs 100.
• But today 28th March 2011 – I am getting sms of “Your Digital TV id [protected] is about to expire. Please recharge with Rs 300 Today.” It’s disgusting. I was already told that your connection is temporarily stopped on 16th. Then how you are charging me when dish is not on place and I am not using it. I WANT REIMBURSMENT FOR THE SAME.
I called Customer care 3-4 times(Date: 29th March 2011 Timing: @ 1.29PM, 1.50PM) . But It take around 15-20 min to connect to customer care. After connecting and giving info the representative kept it on holding for more than 12min. They also cut the phone during the discussion. (Pathetic Customer Care ) That’s why I am writing this mail.

Complaint No 2:
Now I want reinstall the dish in Mumbai. Since last 10 days AIRTEL DIGITAL CUSTOMER CARE is harassing me.
Its very pathetic and painful experience. I booked a slot on 16th April 2011 at 3.00PM for reinstallation of Dish in my Mumbai house. And I received following sms "Dear Customer,request no-6961024 for "Relocation request",Happy Code-TL6A.Share code with the engineer ONCE issue is resolved.For any query pls call [protected]"
After waiting a long time I called above cell no. The no was ringing but nobody was picking up the phone. After sometime I again tried the phone was switched off. This the way to behave with the customers. I
called customer care thrice and at last sombody picked up the phone. And told me that my request is resolved. (Its a big joke) Nobody called me and came to my house. Then how it is resolved.
After that i called Customer Care of Airtel Digital TV at again and again at the following times

6 18th April 2011 4.49 After waiting at home for 1hr 49 min. As the person had not come I called again. This time the Time Set for Dish Reinstallation was next day (no time provided) on 19th April 2011.


I WANT TO KNOW:
Please let me know are you going to install the dish or not?

Why should I have to call customer care every day?

Why don’t you take a note of my complaints from last 20 days? ( I have also mailed my complaints on 29thMarch and 16th April 2011)

If you don’t want to provide service refund my Rs500 (which I paid from last month without having dish installed) Plus Rs1250 (Set top box) and take your instruments with you. I dont want your service.


And last but not least
If your company has some dignity left reply back to me as soon as possible.

One and only fraud and worst service provider is AitTel Digi TV, no one picking up the service all nor responding the emails for existing customers where as they will act immediately if you call them for a NEW DTH connection.

LAST MONTH ON MARCH 30 I SHIFTED MY HOUSE AND I CALLED AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE TO SHIFT MY DISH ANTENA, FROM THAT TIME I WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM ATLEAST 200 TIMES FOR THE NEXT 15 DAYS AND ATLAST ON 15TH OF APRIL THEY CAME AND DID THE INSTALLATION, IN THIS TIME GAP SOME HAD STOLEN MY DISH ANTENA CABLE (THIS COSTA 15 RUPEES PER METER) WHO KNOWS THOSE AIRTELL PEOPLE AFTER TAKING DOWN THE ADDRESS MIGHT HAVE DONE THIS THEN THEY CHARGED 600 RUPEES FROM ME FOR THE NEW CABLE AND ALSO INSTALLATION CHARGES OF 150,

THEN THE REAL STORY STARTS, ACTUALLY FOR MY PACKAGE DAILY BURN RATE IS 13 Rs. FOR 15 DAYS IT IS - 195 SO TOTALLY AROUND 1000 Rs. I HAVE ALREADY SPENT FOR THE STUPID AIRTEL DIGITAL CONNECTION.

NOW BEFORE 5 DAYS AGAIN THE PROBLEM STARTED IT IS GIVING A MESSAGE NO SIGNAL FOR ALL THE CHANNELS, ACCEPT SOME CARTOON CHANNELS, SO AGAIN 5 DAYS 65 Rs LOSS, THEN AFTER CALLING THEM FOR 10 TIMES SOME AIRTEL TECHNESIAN CAME ON 20-APRIL-2011 THEN THEY WORKED FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR AND SAID THE DISH ANTENA IS NOT FIXED PROPERLY SO YOU CALL THE SAME PERSON WHO DID THE INSTALLATION AND TELL HIM TO FIX IT ON ANOTHER PLACE, SO I CALLED HIM HE SAID PLEASE 12150 FROM AN AIRTEL MOBILE AND REGISTER A COMPLAINT THEN I WILL COME, WHERE I SHOULD GO FOR AN AIRTEL MOBILE - HE SAID THAT IS NOT HIS PROBLEM.

THEN HE IS TELLING KEEP ANOTHER 150 Rs READY I WILL COME TOMORROW, (AREE YOU FIXED THE ANTENA IN A WRONG PLACE AND WHY I SHOULD GIVE MONEY AGAIN ) AGAIN THAT IS NOT HIS PROBLEM,

AND THESE AIRTEL TECHNESIAN WHO COME TO OUR HOUSE WILL ASK OUR MOBILE TO CALL THEN OTHER PERSON UPSTAIRS AND THEY WILL TRY TO FIX THE ANTENA - TODAY FOR THAT MOBILE 30 Rs. AND WHEN THEY CAME THE FIRST TIME IT WAS 40 Rs.

ALL THE TECHNESIAN WILL ASK YOUR MOBILE - THEY WILL TELL BALANCE IS LOW IN THEIR MOBILE.

Airtel Digital TV — SELECTED CHANNELS NOT ADDED BUT CHARGED

ON 30TH OF MARCH I ORDERED SOME TOP UP CHANNELS THROUGH SMS. I DIDNT GET ANY REPLY . AGAIN I ORDERED THOSE CHANNELS ONLINE. I SENT FIVE EMAILS, 10 SMS AND CALLED SO MANY TIMES. STILL I AM NOT VIEWING THOSE CHANNELS BUT THE AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FOR THOSE CHANNELS WITHOUT ME WATCHING THEM.
THERE IS NO PROPER RESPONSE FROM THE CONCERNED. THIS IS DEFINITELY CHEATING THE CUSTOMERS. A MAJOR EMPIRE LIKE AIRTEL IS LOSING ITS NAME DUE TO THE LETHARGIC ATTITUDE OF FEW OF ITS EMPLOYEES. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS AND HAVE LOST PATIENCE CONTACTING THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR SUCH A SMALL ISSUE OF ADDING 6 NEW CHANNELS OF MY CHOICE..

Really a quite long list when we come to know that they all are un-resolved. No one bothered to visit my location and still interestingly enough, i have received resolved SMS for following complaints

Don't know why i have not received similar resolved SMS for first and fifth complains. Most interesting thing is the fourth complaint was filed at 2115 Hours (Thursday) and resolved SMS arrived at 0755 Hours (Next Day).

What do they mean ? Do they mean that someone attended and solved the problem between 9:15 PM - 7:55 AM . Great!!!

If Airtel DTH guys are so dedicated to their customer that they are providing service at such odd times (late night and early morning) why can't they just simple guy who can solve my problem (in daylight) .
